4241  Economy / Economics / Re: A genius or an idiot? on: September 27, 2021, 07:07:30 AM
It is not a feeling of being an idiot or feeling of being a genius, it is just that out come of trying to make profit which can go into either way. In life and trying to survive you don't know what is ahead of you and whatever comes is your destiny not a choice but you can only try to be better in whatever you do. Losing doesn't make you an idiot or winning will not make you a genius. Fate is powerful and learning to succeed makes our fate more positive than negative.
4242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you invest ? when you lose ? on: September 26, 2021, 09:40:15 PM
I don't think I  have lost a kind of investment as such but the problem is when price drop and you still hodling the coin, it will take a long time but it gets recover. I have not lost hugely in my investment because I don't get greed and follow the rules.
4243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another Vaccination Lottery on: September 26, 2021, 07:07:26 PM
this is a very sad reality, people must go vaccinate with the awareness that they are being vaccinated to save their lives, the government does not need to buy them with lottery to be vaccinated, this just shows a great lack of brain of people who to be vaccinated need to be purchased with lottery tickets. I don't see this movement as a good thing, on the contrary, it just shows the lack of responsibility of people who do not want to be vaccinated and need to buy them with lottery tickets

Can you blame the people about this?
People have now seen that doing certain things is to do favour to government for them to embezzle money and see means to hide the money lying with expenses done with covid-19. There is no trust  in government anymore because of bad history created in government so that has led to untrust in the systems. There are many stories about covid-19 and vaccine so people are still doubting things around covid-19 that makes for government to introduce lottery but it is funny though. Where trust is lost, is hard to regain it.
4244  Economy / Speculation / Re: New (old) FUD coming from China? on: September 26, 2021, 06:12:29 PM
As a result of the affirmation of the cryptocurrency being banned in China, the price of bitcoin fell by 5.5 percent last week. Even the price of bitcoin is currently down 5.86 percent to around $41,106. When compared to last week's price, the price of bitcoin is down 13.15 percent.

Bitcoin is not dropping as a result of China threat . The price is little dragging in $42,000 and $43,219 presently. The Chinese digital currency is what I think is all the purpose that China is fighting bitcoin and surely both can operate differently but China in trade war with America is a big factor because they want to stand out. Price may get higher this week , it has started recovery.
4245  Economy / Speculation / Re: New (old) FUD coming from China? on: September 26, 2021, 06:40:38 AM
It will have an effect in the price, as much as we hate the Chinese news and fud, it has an impact still. Just look at the price in the last 24 hours, we've seen another pullback to $41k-$42. However, the dent in the price will not be be long term. Sooner or later, investors will realized that this is the nth time the China has issues a ban or everything related to crypto. So I expect a bounce after this, even a new all time high at the end of the year.

I don't expect what news coming from China to affect the price of bitcoin. China is not the only country in the world to determine how price will increase or not. They have been anti bitcoin a long time but that has not affected bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and so it is everybody's asset, not regulated by anyone too. We can be having a little drops but bigger gains, the year may be good for bitcoin.
4246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another Vaccination Lottery on: September 26, 2021, 03:41:16 AM
This is an incentive program aimed to encourage people to get vaccinated against covid-19,

It is a reward program for people to volunteer while showing their prove of being vaccination and qualify for the lottery according to the health minister of Romania.

Quote
There will be 1,139 prizes in the total value of RON15.000.000 ($3.5m) and 19 draws (which will take place between 1 October and 31 December) as follows: 81 weekly draws (80 prizes worth RON10.000 and a RON300.000 prize), three monthly draws (each worth RON100.000) and two final draws (one worth RON500.000 and one final RON1m draw.

I see it isn't a bad idea to encourage people to get vaccinated , maybe more government may do same but definitely not countries that don't support gambling.

And there may be disadvantage for underage.

4247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin dump, Ethereum pump! on: September 25, 2021, 08:14:14 PM
I don't think bitcoin will drop dominance. This dump lately is because of the news from China and bitcoin will always be the worst hit as investors will immediately dump bitcoin and go for the second highest in cryptocurrency which is bitcoin because of the experience of 2017 that altcoins rose after bitcoin started dropping. Investors have been expecting the altcoin run since 2020 when bitcoin bull was highest do far and they expecting this to happen with altcoins for huge cash but unfortunately, bitcoin is recovering again.
4248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading on ethereum - no tokens in tokens tab but transactions exist? on: September 25, 2021, 05:05:11 PM
That could be bug that makes the token not to show in the wallet. Or are you the one trying to send out the token? What is the response you get when you trying doing the sending?

You can make a screenshot of your challenge so it be easy for solution to you on that.
4249  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal tender definition on: September 25, 2021, 02:49:16 PM
[...] It is legally approved for every one to accept it in that country and once it is a law, refusing to accept it is a crime or an offense already and that is the major difference. [...]

Yes and no. Not sure how it's in other countries, but at least in the US there's the... loophole, I guess? that while legal tender must be accepted to settle debt, a business can deny service based on a would-be customer's payment method. That's why it's perfectly legal for stores to not accept cash and go cashless only: If they don't provide you with a service or product, there's no debt to settle in the first place.

I'll leave it as an excercise for the reader what this implies about the value of fiat currencies.

Yes from what you said, that is buttressing the choice of the financial service or payment system to use. For jurisdiction that have opened a choice that is used in the country or mode(s) of payment or receiving payment, yes there should be a choice to choose from. For example from what you said, the receiver who sold product to customer may have choice of payment mode (base on the convenience) if they don't want physical cash and want e-banking transfer or if cryptocurrency, that's if the country is adopting cryptocurrency. But where the country has not adopted any other mode and only cash/fiat then the legal tender comes into it to be must for acceptance. That is how I understand legal tender, nobody can refuse it not to be money if the law has made it so.
4250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent can sport be strengthened with cryptocurrencies on: September 25, 2021, 01:52:52 PM
I'm not really sure to what extent it could actually help sports, but I do know that there are quite a few sports teams that are getting in to cryptocurrency stuff.  The LA Dodgers had a "crypto token bobblehead" NFT giveaway a few years ago, the Sacramento Kings had some plush doll things that were crypto related, the Dallas Mavericks accept dogecoin at their games to purchase goods, the Philadelphia 76rs will sports a crypto logo on their uniforms this year etc etc.

The information is quite available on the use of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin and etheruem. The sporting world has not been backwards towards strengthening of crypto usage and down to ticket sales to fans, it has been used in different clubs.

Football Cubs have been strengthening the use of cryptocurrency

The beautiful game just got much prettier after European football giant Benfica announced they’d be accepting bitcoin and Ethereum payments. Now, fans of the Portuguese Primera Liga champions can pay for match tickets and club merchandise using cryptocurrency.

4251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why men mostly into gambling on: September 24, 2021, 07:33:52 PM
Gambling in the way I can explain is a masculine thing. It is a masculine thing because it can lead to physical tussle, querreling and fighting, at least for off line which is how starting if we can trace it. Gambling started offline and men usually gather to bet within themselves either for playing dice game. Men are known for physical activities and that includes providing for the home, they go out to do all sort to ensure the home feeds. This is a simple reason because men are usually bread winners associated with money but lately that kind of definitions are beginning to change.
4252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most easiest casino games on: September 24, 2021, 04:59:37 PM
The easiest game for anybody is the dice game. You don't need to learn how to play it but what you need is the rules set for it depending on the pattern. This is such a gambling game that it foundation is kind luck. It is in fact the type that teenagers most times play offline , the dice are easily provided.
4253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And this is exactly the reason why we created this Dogecoin shop. on: September 24, 2021, 08:55:51 AM
Dogecoin ring ? That looks like a new one to further grow the doge community after Elon musk brought the coin new phase. This will bring another accumulation and more adoption into the family of doge. I checked the website, the ring looks shining like a diamond colour with inscription "to the moon". The community is growing with the fans hyping it the more. If they are the best will be with time. I hodl few though and I hope to see the best part of it if not tempted  Grin
4254  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 24, 2021, 07:10:43 AM

Making money legally or illegally, accumulating of wealth is the believe of most people in the world.

I stand to be corrected or cencitize

It is good that you are not generalizing everyone to be a lover of money because some people like to be known with the religion they belief in , they belief that it will give eternal life and glory to God and so money would or not can not matter to them. Money is good to everyone one of us because it help life to be good but we need have some thinking about how we chase after money because our soul is also important too.
4255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to the bitcoin price if adoption increased on a larger scale? on: September 23, 2021, 07:46:59 PM

So is it true that bitcoin price volatility will decrease by itself as bitcoin adoption reaches higher levels?

Personally I think because bitcoin is not regulated and it is decentralized, it volatility will keep being its beauty. You can't control the number of bitcoin someone can buy or sell at least from P2P , this as not regulated will not stabilize the volatility.

You already know this  Grin The higher the demand, the higher the price
4256  Economy / Economics / Re: E-Naira: CBN to launches Nigeria’s digital currency on: September 23, 2021, 02:15:49 PM

Also the government should have work on setting the economy to stability and put in place strategies to alleviate hunger and poverty which could be one of the means to lessen social vises, much is expected to come along with the launch of the E-Naira as part of the Independence day celebration.

IMO the Nigerian system is part of those that is not ripe for E-currency. This should not be priority for the government at this time but to try and fix the economy. There is high level of poverty in the land that is caused by the government. The government should embark on massive capital intensive project of building factories and industry which will engage the youth and this will grow the country's GDP. Sometimes one wonders the ability of the people in governance and because they are not genuinely elected by the people, they will dance to the lyrics of the installers. E- naira is not the need of the masses at the moment.
4257  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal tender definition on: September 22, 2021, 04:43:18 PM

It's the buyer's decision that's left; the sellers in El Salvador accept Bitcoin by law.

The difference between legal tender and other payment system is that it is backed by the law the land. It is legally approved for every one to accept it in that country and once it is a law, refusing to accept it is a crime or an offense already and that is the major difference. You can't force someone to use or accept the use of some payment notes like cheques for example, you can only make it an option but money iself can't be rejected to be used that is the meaning of legal tender.

According to google if you search legal tender, you get this kind of definition

And in Nigerian system

4258  Economy / Economics / Re: Future economic fear of the rich and poor. on: September 20, 2021, 04:44:20 PM

(A) The Rich man who has tasted the good things of life and enjoying the best, now he has to face the fear of the possibility of suddenly loosing all he possesses and becoming poor? Or

This is a fear of the unknown and surely every rich guy should have that kind of fear, you don't want to go down there anymore after you leave the poor or low level situation. The rich don't relax from planning for the future and that makes them keep investing in opportunity coming there way but the poor after seeing opportunity is scared of fud, they don't want to lose the little they have. The rich get higher because they are connected and they fear to go down as they have to meet up with the social status and security walls they have built for themselves. They have everything to lose if they go down and they will struggle not to but the poor has nothing to lose as they are already down.
4259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 20, 2021, 02:23:35 PM
It depends on the country regarding there laws distinguishing the old age, adulthood, young or youth age, adolescent and child. That is how that line can be drawn. With that given, you can then understand appropriate age that the law stipulate for the young to be considered an adult or knowledgeable enough to make and be responsible for there decision. This is different from country to country depending on the maturity level of the children in the countries. But the age for independence of young person for many countries is from 17/18 years, I think those are the age that is appropriate for young gamblers. And the impact of underage gambling is always negative for the individual because they become addict and abuse it when they play excessively.
4260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: telegram channels of bounty managers ?? on: September 20, 2021, 12:44:55 PM
You don't really need the telegram of the bounty handlers, you just focus on the bounty side and wait for their announcement of new bounty or opening. But like many users have written from experience, you can regret more than you can get rewarded because it will turn to be waste of your valuable time and you get shit out of it. In my experience so far, I believe bubbalex is the more committed bounty manager but not sure if he is still around.
