4241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best coin in 2020 for long term buy ? on: April 25, 2020, 03:57:35 PM
What is the best coin in 2020 for long term buy? I'm going to invest in a best coin for long term please suggest me?

I guess you are asking about the best altcoin, else I would have replied to invest in Bitcoin. Looking in to the altcoin sector, things are not that rosy now. Ethereum was long regarded as the king of the altcoins, but it is going through a rough patch now. IMO, the most promising altcoins right now are Stellar Lumens, Cardano, Binance Coin, EOS, Tezos and TRON.

After almost two months, watched a live cricket match today. Fancode mobile app did broadcast some matches from the Taipei T10 League. Don't ask me much about the quality, because you know the answer.  Grin But still I was really happy to watch some live action. And as expected, this so called "Taipei League" don't have a single Taiwanese player. All of them are expats.
4243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to know whether it is right to join bounties? on: April 25, 2020, 03:45:53 PM
Well... your account needs to be kept clean, as reputation matters a lot here. I have seen some of my friends getting nuked here, for a single mistake. So be careful about what you do. If you promote scammy projects, and if you are really unlucky, then some DT member or a moderator will paste your account with red trust, making it completely worthless.
4244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 25, 2020, 03:39:20 PM
Lockdown can't be extended again and again for an infinite period. In my country (India), a large part of the population are daily wagers and they'll starve to death of the lockdown is not lifted soon. The government may be able to feed them for 2-3 months, but not more (especially as the tax revenue has hit rock bottom). My guess is that the lockdown will be lifted on May 3rd (at least partially), irrespective of whether the situation comes under control or not.

So within 2-3 months, we may witness a limited resumption of the sports activities as well. It will become the new normal, as we can't shut down the economy indefinitely.
4245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 24, 2020, 02:30:28 PM
I have never liked the Coingecko website. They have a lot of information, but their webpage is not very userfriendly like the Coinmarketcap webpage. Also, I don't like the positioning of their advertisements, as with CMC the advertisements are much smaller and discrete. But to their credit, Coingecko covers a larger number of cryptocurrencies when compared to Coinmarketcap.
I can relate to you, I like Coinmarketcap because it's very simple and though the have less information compared to Coingecko, but what they give are all vital information, and that's the reason I am sticking with them despite some people are saying Coingecko is a better site for crypto tracking.

And this includes a number of obsolete and dormant coins.
I used Coingecko when I try to track some coins delisted in CMC and some coins that are still not listed in exchange or in CMC.

Actually I don't want Coinmarketcap to delist the coins. They are not an exchange, and therefore they don't have the moral right to remove a coin from their listing. If the coin or token is no longer traded in any of the exchanges, then they can flag it saying that it is either dormant or dead. But removing the entry is wrong. If we want some unbiased information about these coins, where we'll go?
4246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 24, 2020, 02:24:23 PM
For this particular game ; English media had a very colonial mindset about any Subcontinent team so they didn't bother to cover this game and same goes with the broadcasters.

I don't want to generalize anyone... but BBC in particular have a very bad attitude towards Indians. I've been watching BBC news regularly for more than 15 years now, and I have noticed this several times. On the other hand, international channels such as CNN, RT and DW are more balanced in their coverage. That said... it is a great loss for the Indians that the match was not covered. We will never get to see that amazing innings from Kapil Dev.
4247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 24, 2020, 02:12:56 PM
As you can see most of the users including me are saying that option no 3 is the best but if the ICC wants to implement rule no 2, this would mean they have some other intentions and they have a look at the bigger picture for the players interest too and also what is best for making more money. If IPL is rescheduled to some other months other than Mar/Apr 2021 it will not be good for the game.

Postponing the tournament by two years is not possible. If they do that, then the ICC may suffer a lot of financial damage. On average, ICC conducts one major tournament per year, and most of their revenues come from these tournaments. In the end, the annual contribution for various national boards may take a hit and the nations outside the big 3 will get impacted.
4248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: April 24, 2020, 01:23:47 PM
Just create a new wallet and transfer everything useful to there

Unfortunately, this is the only method available for those who use ERC-20 platforms right now. And I regard this as one of the drawbacks of this platform. I used to be very active in airdrops and bounty campaigns, and as a result I receive a lot of spam tokens (i.e promotional tokens) in my ERC-20 address. I can't get rid of them, as there is no option to delete them. If I move the good tokens to another wallet, then I need to pay the transaction fee.
4249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 24, 2020, 01:15:08 PM
Since we can't watch those matches, so we can't imagine how they were played. But even 20 years ago the technology were not so good as it is now. We didn't have closeup reviews, hawkeye and a lot of other things at that time.

True. All that remains of that match are a few photographs. BBC was having the broadcasting rights for the 1983 Cricket World Cup (which was being played in England). Back then, India was being considered as one of the minnows, with West Indies being the overwhelming favorites to win the world cup. On that day, West Indies was playing against Australia and therefore the BBC sent the crew and equipment to cover that match. For them, the India vs Zimbabwe match was not a very important one.

As long as its not book cricket, i am fine with it.

One creative way could be, Players using sandpaper officially as they can't use saliva on ball. Grin

Yeah, The Melbourne Cricket Ground.

 Grin Grin Grin

You can check my previous posts and you will find that I have always favored the usage of sandpaper over saliva (even before the COVID 19 epidemic). Both of them have almost the same impact on the swing of the cricket ball, and I don't understand the reason why one is permitted while the other is not. This is also a very unhygienic practice which needs to be done away with.  Grin
4252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right mindset needed for all traders on: April 24, 2020, 12:57:12 PM
Well advise but the key to them all is patience. Once you don't seems to have it, you'll be highly frustrated cos your whole mindset is to strategize and make quick money. Crypto market requires the ability to wait and keep your emotions aside while the market fluctuate until it favors you

I am having just the opposite opinion when compared to yours. In cryptocurrency market, you need to make quick decisions. When a token or an altcoin is going down, in almost all the cases it will never recover. So you need to study reasons behind this drop and dump the coins as soon as possible. If you hold on to shitcoins, then the chance is that you may lose all of your investment.
4253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 24, 2020, 12:51:16 PM
This match may not be interesting for you but being a cricket lover, you might enjoy the match or look out for some special innings and how was cricket being played 20 years back when the technology was not so advanced as it is now. Such matches also rewind our lives to 20 years back and a lot of memories comes to my mind.

Technology started changing from the late 1980s onward. So if you want to get a good idea about how the matches was played before the technological revolution, then you need to watch the tournaments that were played before mid-1980s. But some of those matches are not available online. One example is the India vs Zimbabwe match in 1983, in which Kapil Dev made 175 not out. That match was not broadcast live, so no video is available.
4254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: April 24, 2020, 12:45:24 PM
There are plenty of desperate people selling their KYC for money so yeah KYC is not completely safe or totally real without percent of fakes, document forgery. Best way to verify people identity is required call video to make sure there isn't one person behind hundred or thousand KYC documents and profit from it.

In the dark markets, you can find plenty of people who are willing to do KYC for as little as $20 or $25 per exchange. Earlier the amount used to be even lower. Some of these people user their own IDs, while most of them use stolen or hacked ID documents. That's why I have always been saying that the current KYC system is botched or flawed and it needs a revamp.
4255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: April 24, 2020, 12:39:31 PM
Why do we need a break of 10 - 12 months after playing just 3 matches ?  This logic is just illogical  Cool

The question can be modified, to something like this: "Would you like to have another edition of the PSL, 3-4 months after the finals and semi-finals of the previous edition?"

It's not about the number of matches. A lot of hype will be generated, as these are the most important matches in the tournament. And after so much hype it will be very difficult to redo all that in just a few months.
4256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: April 24, 2020, 12:33:21 PM
It's not a waste of time if one is recording profits from doing Airdrops. Alongside airdrop you can carry out some non tasking bounty activities to augment what you get from the airdrop.

I have been doing airdrops since 2017, and I would agree with you. Airdrops represent a good opportunity for the new users, to get some cryptocurrency in their wallets. The amount may not be big, but it will act as a good starting step. And in rare occasions, those who held on to airdropped tokens have benefited by the price rise in the long term. EBTC token is one example.
4257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: April 24, 2020, 12:27:08 PM
However, Trump was taking he coronavirus seriously from the beginning. On February, he ordered that some of the flights from China should be cancelled. This was against the advice of his advisers on health care.

What was he called by mainstream media after the order? Yes, a racist.

There are arguments both in favor and against Trump in this subject. It is true that he stopped the flights from China against the advice of the experts. But at the same time, he delayed the lockdown measures until it was too late. And on top of that, I am surprised by his trust on Hydroxychloroquine, which according to the medical experts have not yet proven to be effective against COVID 19.
4258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOBIT scam peoples in X100 ICO on: April 24, 2020, 12:21:12 PM
To tell the truth, I am not much surprised. Yobit has a long history of shady deals. They are one of the oldest exchanges still operating, but if you ask the most senior users here, most of them will be having a negative opinion about them. On top of all the scam accusations, their support is available only in Russian. English support tickets take a lot of time to get replied.
4259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 24, 2020, 12:15:36 PM
My advise: Give them a shot(Especially if you have a 4K Smart TV)!
Interesting and maybe I will give a shot but not now.

I think this is time for me to do some social works, spend money on the people who are in need. I have a project idea and I hope everyone will like it or at least help me to build a solid idea. Here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5243099.0

And about cricket, there are really not much to talk about it unless we have any major change in the social life. It's hard to live life without cricket but this is the reality now.

It's a good idea, but at the same time I am a bit skeptical about it. Royse and others are very kind and want to help those in need. But from what I have seen here for the past many years, there are a lot of guys who will exploit kindness from others to get themselves rich. And in an anonymous space such as this forum, it is very difficult to really verify whether the aid is reaching those in need or not.
4260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is your expectation still high on the halving on: April 21, 2020, 04:57:08 PM
Well.. why not? I am having high expectations about the upcoming halving event. Contrary to what some of the experts say, the cryptocurrency market has limited liquidity. Under such circumstances, a drastic reduction in the supply can lead to a disruption of the current demand-supply equilibrium. And this in turn, can lead to a spike in the exchange rates for Bitcoin and the alts.
