Time is not free. In fact, some would even say that time is money. Wink

Gambling is entertainment, not a job.

True, and pay fees both times. I disagree that this is a good solution.

Send: 0.00025000 (fee: 0.0000113)
Withdraw: 0.00030000 (fee: 0.00003000)
-----
Total costs:  0.0000413.
Total gain: 0.00005000
Translation in current USD value. It costs 28 cents to withdraw 43 cents. My net gain would be 15 cents. No thanks.

Why would you use the weekly withdrawal while we currently offer a slow withdrawal at 0.00000040 BTC?

17800 merit a month, or 26700 if everything is distributed twice, (or 31200 if you distribute it thrice)

Is roughly what, 30/60 Hero ranks each month? On a forum with over 3 million registered members? We're really scaling down here.

The forum actually had its 2 millionth signup yesterday. The best estimate of active accounts comes from Vod's site.

http://dev.martinlawrence.ca/bpip/
Quote
Take 2,004,945 registered accounts, delete 1,092,694 accounts with no sign on for 90 days, no posts and no trust
and that leaves us with 912,251 active accounts.

And that's just theorethical. Over the last few months we've seen how many users exactly rank up? 10? 30?

Because it takes time to gain the activity to rank up we can't really know the numbers until after that amount of time has passed. For example, it takes 8.5 months to get the 240 activity to go from Sr. Member to Hero. Every Sr. Member started with 250 Merit but has so far only had 2 months to get the 250 Merit needed. After 8.5 months have passed we will be able to judge how many have ranked up.

Can anybody update about fortuneJack..? What's it current status

Follow the link in the table in the post above and you'll see the full details. They are relaunching with new requirements. The good news is they have severely reduced the posting in Gambling section requirement to reduce the spam they cause there and have a minimum 5 merit gained requirement.

investing in casinos should bring stable income too , it's not about wether you can control the outcomes or not , it's about the EV
so anytime you decide to use your money in order to make more money there is a risk , but when you are doing it correct and investing in a good EV you should be fine

I wouldn't be so sure on that. High rollers can and do hit bankrolls hard from time to time. Particularly if the site is offering leverage, I have been on the wrong end of that before, losing ~30% to one gambler. This is a much lower level of risk than investing in a bankroll but is balanced by the reward being limited to a fixed rate.

TheQuin hi. Do you have any information about freedoge.co.in? If so, to roll without captcha how much amount doge must be deposited? Thanks
I can answer - there are no such feature on freedoge.co.in. But maybe after rebranding when freedoge.co.in will be merged with Crypteer.com maybe then it will be possible to claim Dogecoin or other coins without captcha.

I also would like to ask one question. I have account on both Bitcoin and Dogwcoin faucet. As I understand, after rebranding I will have 2 Crypteer.com accounts? Will it be possible to merge these accounts? And will old referral links remain valid?

Thanks for answering that, I was waiting for wetsuit get back to me. Nothing has been finalised on the rebranding yet, but yes old referral links will still work.

Just an example, where I created my first overview thread (the one I talked about in the OP):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3242065.msg33764649#msg33764649

I hope it's okay to link the thread as an example...

Of course it is OK. That is a good example of the problem when serious threads go unnoticed. I had the same thing with a thread I made about fee estimators. I had to move it to Development & Technical Discussion to get any replies. But I also had another couple of other threads one just before merit and one more recently and I really noticed the improvement.
4267  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: April 04, 2018, 10:32:19 AM
~
Thank you, it seems good, but for that you have to have bitcoin in your PC wallet with that function, or? Because bitcoin database has about 150GB od data..
You can use BTC address specifically for BTCtalk verification, you can simply generate it from brainwallet and put the BTC address in your BTCtalk profile and also generate the signature and paste the signed message and the signature for future reference. Just make sure you keep the private key safe from being stolen.

This topic give guide on how to sign a message with BTC address that covered almost all BTC client, you can try visit it and learn how to sign a message using client you currently use.

I prefer using a lightweight SPV wallet like Electrum rather than trusting any website or browser.
4268  Other / Meta / Re: Respected moderators on: April 04, 2018, 10:21:43 AM
I'm not saying how to find and how to raise the topic up, I'm talking about their number
OK, I figured it's easier to create multiple alternative way of bringing than writing in one  Wink

I wasn't disagreeing with that assertion, just pointing out that the moderators don't seem to mind.
4269  Other / Meta / Re: Respected moderators on: April 04, 2018, 10:02:49 AM
See to do in one topics is much easier than to search and watch N topics, Or I'm wrong?

Once you reply in a topic it shows up in unread replies or you can just add it to your watchlist. I'm sure if the moderators wanted it done another way they would have said something.

4270  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 04, 2018, 10:00:05 AM

do you know any more deposoting services with interest about 4%?

I don't know any such services who can provide a fixed interest for your bitcoins.

That's why what I do is I take some extra risks and invest some of my bitcoins and other coins in casino bankrolls. One of my best casino bankroll investment is crypto-games. In a year you can earn easily more than 4% profit. But you need to be careful because this is not a guaranteed return and sometimes you may lose if someone wins a big amount. If your not a risk taker then better don't invest in casino bankroll investments.

If you're prepared to take on higher risk then you can hope for a higher reward. There's also margin lending on exchanges but the rates vary depending on the market. I don't know of anything else offering fixed interest.
4271  Other / Meta / Re: Respected moderators on: April 04, 2018, 08:56:43 AM
I have nothing against these people I am for that in one post everything was! Where everyone could write about violations! Fastened post on the first page

Shouldn't the title be "Please Sir Respected moderators"

In general, these things should be dealt with using the Report to moderator link. Those threads are just an alternative way of bringing it to the moderators' attention as sometimes reports go unhandled due to the sheer volume of them.
I don't see any need to change the way it is done, although I do think we might need more moderators.
4272  Other / Meta / Re: Overall I'm quite happy with the forum on: April 04, 2018, 08:48:41 AM
Overall, I'm not happy with the forum lol.

The technology is so antiquated, you know? It's so hard to get alerts when you've been quoted. That kind of function doesn't exist. So you actually have to run through every thread in "replies since you last visited" and wade through pages just to see if you were quoted. I've given up doing that. Too much time wasted there.

The forum is growing so big, with crypto growing larger, and the technology just isn't keeping up on the forum. It needs better content management and post/thread management too. Idk.

That's more of a technical issue than the state of the forum the OP is referring to. Just wait for the new forum software to be implemented in 2067 and it will be much better.

@eternalgloom I'm agreeing with almost everything you said apart from there are still good threads going on in Bitcoin Discussion but they are hard to find amid all the noise. That's also probably what happened to your thread in Altcoin Discussion, it was quickly buried down on page 3 where nobody is going to see it and reply. This has slowly been improving since merit was introduced and I think it will continue to go in the right direction.

Since the poll showed us Stellar and Bitcoin Cash are on top of the list, we'll add both!  Cheesy

As everything on the site is listed or automatically sorted alphabetically by ticker it occurred to me that BCH is going to be on top of all the menus and tables where BTC belongs. I wondered if you could consider using the alternate ticker of SCH (Sh*tcoin Cash).
4274  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 04, 2018, 05:08:08 AM
Congrats to TheQuin, this guy knows his stuff!

Question for you - will you and/or wetsuit be incorporating the new merit system on this forum into your various FreeBitco.in threads?

Cheers.

Thanks HabBear.

I'm not sure how we could or if it would be within the spirit of the merit system to do so. I don't want to offer merit to people to post nice things about freebitco.in. That might even be considered against forum rules on incentivised posting and bumping. If you have any other ideas let me know.
4275  Other / Meta / Re: Are you ready for 2,000,000? on: April 03, 2018, 04:07:59 PM

That's just wrong.

The latest user is currently at uid=2001067 from that page.

Yeah, I just edited it again. This confused me a bit  Undecided
4276  Other / Meta / Re: Are you ready for 2,000,000? on: April 03, 2018, 03:56:32 PM
So why would the numbers be so much different?

It looks like I misread the data on Vod's site.

Sorry, I just worked that out. The site user stats have been disabled since December when we were having the DDoS attacks and those numbers are frozen in time. http://dev.martinlawrence.ca/bpip/ is the place for live data.

You appear to have also misread my point.

The data on UID's is different than the data on this forum's stats page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats

Why is that number lower than 2000000?

Ok this is confusing me now. That stats page stopped updating the history at the bottom of the page in December so I thought it had completely stopped updating. I know when users are banned or nuked their accounts remain and even when people have asked to have accounts deleted they are told they can't. So I cannot explain it other than to take a guess that they used to delete accounts a long time ago and stopped.

4277  Other / Meta / Re: Are you ready for 2,000,000? on: April 03, 2018, 02:11:20 PM
The nuked ones are all the ones with 0 posts however old they are.

Not quite true.  I'm at the airport so I can't give you exact numbers, but there are 1,085,918 accounts with no sign on for 90 days, no posts and no trust.  The number of banned/nuked accounts is way less than five figures.

OK, I wasn't reading those commas as an AND operator, I thought no sign in for 90 days OR 0 posts. I suspected nuked to be far higher than 5 figures.

4278  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: April 03, 2018, 01:45:06 PM
If you believe that you have quality posts for all 20 of your most recent posts then I will review them and if I agree I will give you 14 merit.
Sr. Members and below only.

However. if I heavily disagree I will add a neutral feedback to your account indicating that you are a spammer.
Game on. This is for those that complain about not being rewarded for quality content.

Disclaimer: I will only review the twenty posts that occur before your message.

*arbitrary amount is because of the sMerit I have left.

Please, don't send me merit. If you have merit to spare then give it to those that need it. Or save it, and in the likely case that there are more people here that deserve merit than I have available, you can send them the merit instead.
please review my post, thanks

This one is a merit beggar. Sent me this PM.

I need some merit, which you have available, appreciate if I get the favor from you, thanks

4279  Other / Meta / Re: Are you ready for 2,000,000? on: April 03, 2018, 01:34:26 PM
Why do we have fewer users than UIDs? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats
Whenever someone's nuked/permabanned, does their deletion reduce the number of uids as I thought they just remained but were blocked on here?

Congrats to number 2000000, we've had 484 signups since then also (100 users per hour)!

Accounts are never deleted so that 2 mil is every signup including banned and nuked accounts. The nuked ones are all the ones with 0 posts however old they are.

I understand why you do this to bots but does it looks like i'm one?

Nvm i'm done with this have a nice day Smiley

That wasn't what I was saying. I'm saying it is the only way we can stop them.
