Ich empfehle den folgenden Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1274066.0
-snip-

Sehr interessant, bin noch nicht ganz durch und hab vermutlich danach ein paar Fragen. Danke.

Besides the explicit filter mexxer-2 mentions you can also just watch boards[1] you care about and use the watchlist instead.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/watch_board.php

This works but this shows new post in a topic that i already made a post, it works pretty same like new replies to your post but in this case by specific boards

Unread shows all posts, your watchlist shows whats on your watchlist. With the above page you can set it so that new posts from boards you are watching are added to your watchlist. If you no longer care about a topic you can click "unwatch" in the thread.

-snip-
The terms were in the OP. Were the terms changed and was the OP updated? No.

So only the first post counts? Was that a rule that was clearly known to those involved? Is that a normal and common behaviour in trades?

Here's a car wash example; I state that I'll pay $15 for my car to be washed (this takes x amount of time, effort and material).

To make it clear here, x is unknown for everyone involved. Finding a specific pair of glasses is not a priori achievable with fixed amounts of time, effort and material. From taking a look at a dirty car its pretty evident how much work, efford and material is involved/needed.

As I want my car washed promptly, I then tell the washers that they only need to clean the tyres.

This is not what you said though. You said - to stay with the example - "wash it as good as possible in the next 48 hours and I will pay the person that did the best job."

So I originally was going to pay $15 for a full car wash, why would I pay $15 for only my tyres (that takes significantly less time, effort and material)?

Because you said you would.

What if I deem the tyre clean unsatisfactory? Would you still pay for a half assed job? No. IF someone still washed my car fully, then they would be entitled to the original agreement.

If you dont want to change the agreement you should not announce a change in the agreement.

I think your reasoning is flawed and I'm not sure why you have 'trust'.

I dont think so, but this is hardly the topic here. I have the impression you tried to weasel out of a statement you made and later regretted.
4265  Other / Archival / Re: Where's the money, Lebowski? on: December 07, 2015, 01:45:13 PM
The project is quite a bit over-due and over-budget (the original estimate was 1 year and $1.2 million)

It seems a bit backwards to how I would have expected a contractor to be remunerated.

1. I give you a project brief
2. You give me a quote
3. We agree on a price
4. I pay a portion upfront
5a. You deliver it on time
5b. You deliver it late
6. I pay you the remainder on delivery.

In either scenario they get paid the same - for doing the work that was agreed. Giving someone such a lucrative incentive to do work slower not to deliver seems a recipe for disaster.

If you want to see what happens if you give devs a too strick deadline look at videogame releases. Its common that projects (any really, not only software) take longer and require more money. The question is whether you want what you asked for or a set price. If you want exactly what you asked for or something as close as possible you will have to grand more time and/or money. You cant know all problems the developers will run into in advance. I am under the impression that theymos rather wants something solid than something thats done on time or done with a given amount of money. This has certainly limits, but as long as there are funds for the development I dont see an issue.

4266  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Why faucets are NOT worth your time on: December 07, 2015, 01:35:14 PM
I found them useful for learning about bitcoins but not very profitable.
if you want to learn serious about bitcoin, try joining a signature campaign because you will have to go around the forum find topics and comment on them while you are doing that, you will learn about bitcoin. Faucets are about sending and receiving bitcoins I think.

I would not say signature campaign are for everyone, but faucers are certainly not a good way to learn about bitcoin. Bitcoin behaves differently with lots of small inputs which are typical for faucets, but not for normal use. The fees are higher and the transactions will be slower. If you want to learn about how bitcoin behaves without any costs I suggest you install a tBTC (testnet bitcoin) wallet. They exist for smartphones as well, there is no need to have a full node, e.g. "schildbach app". Testnet faucets easily give you >0.5 tBTC which is a reasonable amount to understand how bitcoin behaves.
4267  Economy / Services / Re: Help me find this German scented oil for a 2mBTC reward! on: December 07, 2015, 11:49:34 AM
Like already mentioned.. they changed their Brand name..
And this special oil (Wintermagic) is not available to buy online.

No "Primavera" is by a different (likely US based) company named "Goddess of Spring". There are also other companies that sell these kind of oils, e.g. "Neumond"[1].

@OP you have a PM.

[1] http://www.neumond.de/

That oil is not from Primavera... its from Fiorina (company founded in germany).
Of course there are a lot of such oils.. but OP wouldnt post it here this way if he wasn't looking for THAT specific one.

My point exactly[1], so why do you suggest something from a different company?

[1] except that Fiorina is not the company, but W&H hGmbH.
4268  Economy / Services / Re: DoubleBot Signature Campaign [ High Payments ] on: December 07, 2015, 10:44:33 AM
All of you, sirs, here, who says that it is a scam, you are stupid.

Is it your business that who are in a campaign will make some money for an advertising?

You cannot even know what is ponzi and what is not.
I can bet you promoted a "Mining" ponzi sites.

When your DICE sites are just have a scripts to steal all bets which are higher than 0.01 BTC, it is not a scam, of course.
When you are smoking and other people will have a bad health because of your smoke, it is not bad too, of course.
When DoubleBot paid already 68.63339114 BTC and all proofs are on a main page, and ALL PAYMENTS are paid, and no one had been missed, it is a scam, of course.
You are an incredible stupid! I think that a lot of you are americans. Where p0lice kiIls 10 times more people than terr0rlsts, to prevent a terr0rlsm. Your credo is "I SHOULD BE KlLLED FOR MY OWN SECURITY".
Ponzi = Scam = Terr0rlsm.
Zombie minded people.

I can also exclude your list. Mining = Ponzi = Casino = Dice = Bets = Scam too.
Go and f*ck all the users who joined the dice and casino sites.

And you do not know that there are some people, who like to play in a Casino.
I like a freedom, and If somebody like to participate in ponzi or promote it, it is not your f*cking business. Even if it would be a ponzi.

And the most funny thing that DoubleBot even is not a pozni. But you are too stupid to understand it.

So you only like your freedom and not my freedom to issue a warning? Does not sound very liberal to me. I cant stop anyone from participating in your campaign or "investing" in your "bots" if they are willing to face the consequences and anyone that comes to the same conclusions as you ("its not a ponzi") should have no problems with my "zombie minded" warning.

Sure, the market moves, perfect opportunity for the "bots" to make profit, yet somehow they dont.

well he has to be the fee of whatever market he is on its hasnt changed that much over the last day . thats only if he is trading btc to fiat .  but he may be doing btc to alt trading .  as well . we dont know

Wait? You are invested in this and dont even know where or what the bots are trading? Not that there are many possibilities given the volume.
4270  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Scares Me...? on: December 07, 2015, 10:39:13 AM
I backed up the seeds! I don't have the reasons to worry I will lose my money! The only annoying issues is that I cannot choose the sending address mannually!

Yes, there is no coin control, well unless you create the TX by hand and only sign it with electrum. Sounds overly complicated though.
4271  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Would bitcoins cease to function if the internet were destroyed. on: December 07, 2015, 10:36:51 AM
It could stil work, the question is what exactly do you mean with internet and how it would be destoryed.

4272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: They have stolen bitcoins from my official Bitcoin wallet on: December 07, 2015, 10:35:07 AM
It ain't just limited to desktop based wallets guys...
Even I am seeing some login attempts in my blockchain.info account that I currently have...
I don't know who the hell tries to attempt to login in my account there, but I get a code from Blockchain everyday because I have enabled 2-Factor Authentication...

So, beware these days guys, there ain't anything called "SAFE" in terms of wallets for bitcoins...
The only best thing I believe are paper wallets...

Sounds like your wallet identifier leaked. Lets try to stay on topic though, shall we?
4273  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Scares Me...? on: December 07, 2015, 10:31:13 AM
I mainly don't like Electrum because I can't generate new addresses.
-snip-

Sorry, but what? What exactly makes you think you can't generate a new address with electrum? It does this by default anyway for change.

Perhaps I'm not fully understanding Electrum.

In Core, I was able to generate a bunch of new addresses for receiving, and I organized things that way. Electrum seems to be all over the place for no rhyme or reason, and it's just strange to me. I think it's a lack of understanding on my part, but being tech-savvy and still being puzzled by it, is a problem IMO. But like I said, maybe I just need to use it more to get the hang of what's going on.

Electrum will keep 20 unused address for you ready at all times. At least I think its 20, the value might be different. Just checked its 20. You can just use them and it will create more for you. If you want you can also enter a specific command into its console to generate any number addresses. That might result in problems when restoring from the seed so its not recommended. The problem is not severe as in you lose coins though. Since you change the default behaviour electrum might not show you the 1000 addresses you generated in the old wallet again after restoring, but only 20.

The way restoring address works is that it generates the first 20 addresses from the seed and checks for a balance or past activity. If it finds activity on 7 addresses it will create 7 more, if it finds a balance on all 20 it will create 20 more and so on until it found 20 addresses that have not been used in the past.

Also, in regards to my hardware, I have an FX-8350 based gaming rig, and a 1TB HDD inside, soon to upgrade to a 4TB drive w/ a 500GB SSD as my OS drive.

But in all honesty, I think that's one of the biggest problem facing widespread adoption. The blockchain is huge, and most people have their drives filled with crap, including myself. For someone who's running a 500GB HDD on their laptop probably isn't too excited to fill like 20GB of their remaining 80 (or less if you're me) just for this weird thing called "bitcoin".

No, certainly running core becomes more and more server based, as was predicted by satoshi.

first of all i am sorry for the lost. but did anybody here asked op to sign a message to prove the ownership of the address? it's important right to claim that the address is really owned by op. and after that we can go discussing this . no offense op okay  Wink

No, why? They can hardly reclaim the coins with a signed message. I dont see how that matters at all.
I think he means to say that we should first actually get some proof that OP's wallet was indeed hacked and he is not just wasting everyone's time with wild speculation as to how his wallet might've been hacked
I've not understood you pretty well. English is not my native language

Its not important I think. Just someone wants you to proof that you have been stolen. E.g. with a signed message -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

How did you store the password?

how is the growth for  24 hours for everyone .

0 - 0.05%
The last few days.
May have to do with the rise in Bitcoin price.

its possible . depending on how fast his bots are and how they read the market

Sure, the market moves, perfect opportunity for the "bots" to make profit, yet somehow they dont.

I hope the  investigation of this case can improve the Bitcoin world and can prevent such incidents in future

4280  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] New "Ancient" ranking / higher than Legendary on: December 06, 2015, 11:20:43 PM
Is there any statistic about how many Hero, Legendary are in total, or sorting them by every rank so we can see how many Mythical could there be at activity 1920+.

You can search for members, enable Search by position and enter "Legendary". At the moment there are 490 Legendary members and about 2300 Heros.

I was thinking that are less but the number is pretty good, how many of these have 1920+ activity as i cant sort or count there as they would be "Mythical" or "Ancient"

There is no easy way to figure that out, unless someone writes a bot for it. The only account I know that has >2000 activity is theymos, but there might be more.
