4261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Was the sudden increase in Bitcoin price due to Pololiex Exchange? on: June 23, 2020, 09:31:44 AM
It so facinating thats events anywhere in the world could have a major impact on BTC. I am not always familiar with the facts and usually I just follow some of my crypto friends.
Then you must follow the news on your own and don't just depend with your friends. What if there are no friends that you can rely on regarding crypto news and updates that can affect the price of bitcoin?

Every single news that comes from exchanges, most of the time they affect the price of bitcoin. If those exchanges are huge then they really matter. Like those news from Coinbase, Bitmex, Binance, etc. whenever you see news about them, look at the price and observe.
4262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Warning Scam : Crypcore Exchange on: June 23, 2020, 04:44:15 AM
I've checked the official[1] facebook page of crypcore and they have 818 likes and 845 follows.

[1] https://www.facebook.com/Crypcore/

While the one that's giving fake giveaway doesn't have any followers nor likes in their fake[2] and imitation page. They also don't have any content about updates of the project.

[2] https://www.facebook.com/Crypcore-107147474384802/

I'm not defending them but I've seen the same thing with Binance page and other cryptocurrency pages. Those comments are made also by the same scammer that created the page.

Remember the Ethereum giveaway, they're the same style.

You should report it to the official crypcore so that they can remind their investors and they might even give you a reward if they're generous as you help them.
4263  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 22, 2020, 12:13:00 PM
Not a surprise but bitcoin has the most share in cryptocurrencies so that's why your clients prefer to have it. Maybe you haven't seen the client that you'll deal with preferring to pay with altcoins.

65% is the dominance for bitcoin and that's not new if most clients like to take it with bitcoin. You'll get to be surprised if somebody asks you to deal with uncommon altcoins, those altcoins that you haven't mentioned and new to you.
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that has build trust and support from its users and investors so it is not surprising that most of the clients are eager to have bitcoin rather than those few altcoins that have less importance than bitcoin. Altcoins may be useful in their own ways but bitcoin will always take the lead as most of the establishments today prefer to accept bitcoin as a payment rather than altcoins.
No question and debates about bitcoin's status and it will continue for a long time and it's here to stay. I don't think that there will be an even altcoin that could be par with it which I have seen that some people were already talking about it.

It's also the first born so basically that it has gained the trust easily by people. Now, it's becoming the talks and whichever altcoins goes on mainstream, still people, merchants and business folks will eventually turn and accept bitcoin.
4264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Another cute avatar dApp aside from Cryptokitties on: June 22, 2020, 10:51:21 AM
I'm an Ubisoft platform player and knows the quality of games that they do. But for something like this, it is out of my genre.

I still think that there will be a blast of players for this kind of games. Especially, those people that are looking to play and earn at the same time. If the mechanics are like cryptokitties where you get to sell and earn with those virtual pets. This could also experience the hit cryptokitties made.
4265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are holding, small miners are out, supply declines, what next? on: June 22, 2020, 09:55:19 AM
If that data is accurate, they're saving it for the rainy days. They probably have themselves cover for the expense of their operation while mining new coins for a better price in the future.

The lesser coins that we have, the higher price that we'll be getting soon. As a holder, I have no intention to sell anytime but just like them if for smaller portions and there's an urgency, I'll be doing the same. There is no need to ask next, just focus to yourself and hold.
4266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oikos a scam project or what??? on: June 22, 2020, 08:57:01 AM
If the extension of bounty is your basis of accusing a project a scam, that's not enough. They're probably doing that for more exposure as that makes their project more known and popular which is effective on their end.

I could be wrong saying that but if there's something wrong with the project itself then the bounty will also be affected.

The problem is bounty manager don't want bounty hunters to leave, he said their stakes will be fortified if they change signature, one of the harshest decisions I've ever seen from bounty managers, this will bring bad reputation to the project honestly
Most bounties don't want their hunters to leave but if the bounty hunter insists of leaving, they'll get no stake for participating for a long time. The word's forfeited mate not fortified.
4267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addict steals $6 million of client funds to fund his gambling addiction on: June 22, 2020, 08:27:01 AM
A bad event into a good one.

He's honest and if he had admitted his mistake then the judge should really have considered him and giving him a lighter consequence is a good decision. He himself refunded a huge amount so he's very concern and sorry for what he'd done to his clients.

His addiction really brought him this far but his action and remorse redeemed him.
4268  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Satoshilancer - Freelancing, Outsourcing and affiliate program on: June 22, 2020, 07:54:27 AM
I remember the glory days of xbtfreelancer through your website. I think there's a need to fix with your server because it loads slowly and the response time isn't that quick.

Knowing that your website has been established a month ago, it's nice to see that there are openings and posts already offering for a job. There's a lot of advertisements of you to be done to make your site be known to the community.
4269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another bitcoin scams hit Canada on: June 22, 2020, 07:21:45 AM
I think I've seen this kind of scam before not particular to Canada but in other countries and also happened locally. The style is like those scam phone calls that has been posted in YouTube years ago and also keeps on coming even up to now with almost the same reasoning.

Probably the scammer bought or collected phone numbers of a victim from a database that he has been monitoring. The authorities could easily catch and trace the numbers if the victims will cooperate to them but I think those scammers are operating offshore.
4270  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: June 20, 2020, 11:53:24 PM
Well, bitdice has always been a website known to bitcoin community, it is one of the oldest ones really and they got a good amount of investment and support as well.

I am sure when all of this is done, when they have a new looking website with more games (not just slots but in general more games) and when they get more coins accepted and when they get more moderators and a better chat, when they get a lot more promotions and a lot more give always, I can guarantee you that people will come back. Will it be easy? Definitely not, bitdice is in a tough situation and it will be very difficult to bring those people back, however when everything that was promised is done, it will be a lot easier to convince people to come back and play here compared to asking them now.
Yes, as announced, there will be a lot of contests that will be made in the future and that can help to bring back a lot of things for BitDice.

The much more awaited 5.0 is what I'm curious to see. How it will look like.
4271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They say RNDR is the next big thing on: June 20, 2020, 11:22:23 PM
IMO, Don't buy the opinion of others mate. Many times we have heard of that magic word and there is always a counter reaction whenever someone is telling you that for an altcoin. I'll be careful to get in for that coin if the chart is showing an uptrending because it could be the last time that it will be pumping.

If, there is really something to show for this coin and it's trying to work with different big names. Keep observing.

Absolutely agree! If someone says this and that is the next big thing. Most of the time, they are the holder of that particular coin or token. The mentioned token is rising its value at the moment, but don't forget that it maybe a trap. Ask yourself first, what is the reason why it is increasing? Does this token have valuable use case in the market? If there is not, then they are just selling empty news here. Don't buy it.
He can keep on observing if there is something really good for this coin. However, for me, I won't spend that much time buying a coin that's actually new to me and just heard from somebody without further research and understanding.

But if time comes and this coin has proven us to be wrong and going outside of being the lowest rank, things will surely change.

4273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Arrest on: June 20, 2020, 03:40:31 PM
Unless he asked permission and allowed to do that, there's no problem. But it's likely the opposite and what we're all thinking are correct about what he's done.

He's doing it for free and somebody's paying for the bill so obviously, it's stealing.

Surely a crime for such activity. Since he made no permission granted to him and has done it illegally or in an illicit way, it means a pure crime. Such is an offence of stealing by trick and it is punishable by the law.
Including also to the company's law of taking advantage of their properties for doing things not related to the company's mission and vision.

No one would ever allow such thing, in the first place that's against the rules of work ethics, you are not allowed to do other things while youre in your work shift, most specially inside the work place.
That's a direct stealing of government property, and there's no enough excuses If you're caught red handed.

I doubt, that's not a mining farm, It's too impossible not being noticed for 6 months considering the loud noise of the mining farm. He might be running a few Bitcoin miner.

I don't want to think how the setup is but with what he's done, he's brought his career into the pit. That will bring him a very bad record and no settlement from the company even if he has served the sentence given to him. Could also lead him to be banned by future company's that he'll apply to.
4274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is another type of fiat money according to the New York Fed on: June 20, 2020, 03:06:07 PM
What's that? bitcoin is not a new type of money?  Shocked amazing.. clap.. clap.. coming from fed?

They're starting to condition the mindset of the people of what bitcoin is. That's a ridiculous description about bitcoin if that's how they described it. Well, if there's something that's going to come out from them.

They have to make their opponent look bad and competition by giving wrongful information about what bitcoin is.

Ngl, their definition of fiat (the one from Fed) actually suits the definition of fiat or the Central bank-issued currencies.
Yes, it's the opposite that they're describing.
4275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap's new feature - Chat on: June 19, 2020, 06:10:49 PM
A great update for the coinmarketcap, I think the chat thing would help many crypto enthusiast specially for the beginners that aren't knowledgeable about coinmarketcap exchange and good thing to ask faq's about the exchange that may help any concerns.
For beginners and bought a token that has a community that can be seen there. Questions and problems can easily be answered and solved if there's a representative from the team or devs active on that chat channel that they have.

The beginners are the ones that can benefit from this. But for some that aren't appreciating the feature because there's already telegram, it's okay too because we all know that such communities were already been built before.

4277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody know when we will get cryptopia fund ?? on: June 18, 2020, 07:19:32 PM
The refund might never come, some are saying KYC will be requested before getting refunds but it's not a reliable information, all you can do is wait but don't rely or hope for refunds
I'm sure that most victims will do whatever they can just to get the refund and even it will cost them KYC as a requirement. Base from all of those posts that I have read regarding the update for the refund.

Yes, looks like there's hope.
4278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap's new feature - Chat on: June 18, 2020, 06:11:50 PM
I haven't tried the chat feature yet, but I would imagine it is a bunch of people shilling their bags, or it's similar to a telegram
The chat feature isn't just another telegram channel that's composed of different people who's aiming to shill. The chat groups are made specifically for communities like for Cardano which I have seen at the top list.

Although, there's this one channel at the top too which has been named as #tothemoon. I guess that we're getting the idea that it's no different from the channels that we used to have. Basically, this is an additional feature. I thought that it would be exclusively for each project, tokens, and altcoins and also bitcoin lovers.

Thanks for those additional games Alex, a little by little everyone got to see updates like this.

On point!

Adding new slots games isnt the same on adding a new game literally into your site.I cant blame out those investors who had been keep complaining about

new updates or progress on the site. This might be an another topic to discuss on but they do actually have the point. They do need something new which can

potentially bring back players on the site and make themselves do benefit  on it.
Yes, it's the reason why we get to see these updates and there will be more of it not just with these new sets of games but updates including other things as a whole.
