4261  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Anyone a Ledger Nano S expert? on: February 20, 2020, 09:26:21 PM
I just checked post history of the OP.
The OP has opened 3 other topics regarding this issue in 2018. It was better to reply to those topics instead of creating a new one.
Some notable members of the forum helped him to solve the problem. But seems that the problem has not been solved yet.

The OP has already tried to export the wallet. But the attempt was not successful. Also, resetting the wallet hasn't solved the problem.
The OP claims that the address has been created by ledger and no passphrase has been used.

Here is the address OP is talking about.

4262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Need help] What should be done when the transaction fails due to "Out of Gas"? on: February 20, 2020, 05:13:37 PM
Have no idea how ethereum works but I had to use dai and I just use 1 gwei every time I want to send something... Seems to confirm within an hour and I don't care about fast transactions so...

1 Gwei is what you used for gas price. The transaction will finally be confirmed even if the gas price is 0.1 Gwei

1 Gwei = 10-9 Ethereum

The problem OP faced is not due to low gas price. That's due to low gas limit. If the gas limit is lower than gas needed to be used, the transaction will be failed even if the gas price is 1000 Gwei.

Gas price is something like Sat/byte in bitcoin transactions.

A big difference of Ethereum with bitcoin is in size of the transaction.
In bitcoin transactions, you don't need to enter the size of transaction. But in Ethereum you must do that.
Used gas is something like size of transaction.

In bitcoin transactions:
Fee = size (in byte) * (Sat/byte)

In Ethereum transactions:
Fee= used gas * gas price

For making a transaction in Ethereum blockchain, you must enter a value for gas limit. The gas limit must be bigger than gas needed to be used. Otherwise, the transaction will be failed.
The gas that is not used (extra gas) will be sent back to your wallet.

In most of Ethereum wallets, the gas limit is automatically entered by the wallet and that's why you haven't faced any problem till now.
4263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Need help] What should be done when the transaction fails due to "Out of Gas"? on: February 20, 2020, 04:05:21 PM
The best thing you can do to avoid such error in future is to use bigger amounts for gas limit.
Note that the extra gas will be sent back to your wallet. So you won't lose anything if you use bigger amounts than needed for the gas limit.

The transaction fee is calculated as follows:
Transactions fee = used gas * gas price

The confirmation time and fee depend on gas price and has nothing to do with gas limit.

If a transaction needs 50,000 gas to be made and you use 200,000 gas, the 150,000 extra gas will return to your wallet. So, I recommend you to use big amounts for the gas limit and use ETH Gas Station for gas price.

If you use bigger amounts than needed for gas price, you will waste your Ethereum. But you lose nothing if you use bigger amounts than needed for gas limit.

For making a transaction, you need to have gas limit * gas price in your wallet. But the amount finally deducted from your wallet is used gas * gas price.

Also, I see that there is another section with "Reward point bonus" But it is a little confusing, not sure what is the difference between that and Free BTC bonus. Maybe "Free BTC bonus" gives more rewards after all?
Free BTC bonus increases the minimum free BTC you can get in every free roll you play and reward points bonus give you more reward points. Reward points bonus can be used for increasing your reward points at a higher rate. The bonus is helpful only if you have time to claim the faucet more than 12 times per day. More you are able to claim the faucet in a 24-hour period, more you can benefit from the bonus.
For example you can redeem 1200 reward points to get 100 extra reward points per free roll you play for 24 hours after redemption.

Is it possible to let people know on another different section here on bitcointalk how they can earn sats on freebitcoin website? or a section where we can even share our referral link other than in the signature?

You are not allowed to share referral links in the post area.

4. No referral code (ref link) spam.
4266  Other / Meta / Moving a topic that has already been moved by moderators on: February 19, 2020, 08:34:17 PM
Two days ago, a user posted in Meta about a topic that had been moved to another board by moderators. I don't mention that user and his topic, so I don't help him to advertise his service in Meta. But all of you know what I am talking about.

That topic is now on Services board again. It has likely been moved by the OP. I don't think moderators have been convinced to move the topic.

I have two suggestions.

1. After a post is moved by a moderator, the OP shouldn't be allowed to move that topic again. He can only ask moderators to move that if there is a legitimate reason.

2. Meta board can be abused to make a topic more visible. Sometimes it is needed to trash the topic made in Meta or lock it at least.

On how many levels below the downline a user earn 50% commissions? only within the first level, they have in their downline or more than that?
You get commissions only for those you have referred directly. You get nothing for those your referrals refer.
50% of base prize in every free roll they play. 0.4% of amounts they wager and 25% of interest they earn.
4268  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: importing seed to another wallet on: February 18, 2020, 09:30:05 PM
web based wallet
There are many web wallets and each of them has their own features.
If you use blockchain.info, it's possible to extract the seed phrase and import it into Electrum. But Most of web wallets are hosted wallets that don't allow you to recover your funds in other wallets.
4269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Consider these 12 things before joining a bounty program on: February 18, 2020, 09:10:42 PM
Before participating in a crypto bounty project, here are some things you need to check in order to save time and problems later with the project.
1. A very basic and important thing to check first is that they have reliable staff willing to answer questions the same day or at least the next day.
They are usually responsive when they are trying to raise fund.

Before participating in a crypto bounty project, here are some things you need to check in order to save time and problems later with the project.
4. Check the number of followers on Twitter and other social networks.
And don't be deceived with fake followers especially in Facebook and Telegram.

7. Test them the first week, to see if they reward what they promised.
Bounty rewards are usually distributed after end of the campaign.

8. Ask all-important questions about legal stuff like KYC, countries allowed, etc.
And note that sometimes, they lie about KYC.
As it is said in all of bounties, they have the right to change the rules at any time.

-Don't trust ICOs rating websites.
-Don't be deceived with big price of tokens in ICO. You cannot sell your tokens at those prices.
-Note that they may decrease number of tokens allocated to bounty.
4270  Economy / Reputation / Re: KICKICO-KickEx:Legit business or scam in making? on: February 18, 2020, 08:26:21 PM
To further hype this referral system and bring new investors, they gave few  example how much can people earn from it. Sure, they say that  earnings will  depend on the activity of your referrals, but this really reminds me of ponzi schemes, where they use similar language and graphics to attract new users.

It's a pyramid scheme. They are forcing users to trade in their exchange to get their referral reward and that's how they earn money.

Only users that have completed KYC verification and have paid at least $5 trading commissions on KickEX can enjoy the rewards.

Therefore, users will have to make trades even if they don't need.
For example I will have to deposit BTC, convert it to ETH then convert ETH to BTC and withdraw BTC to become eligible for the reward.
In this case, I will waste 5$ + withdrawal fee. In addition to that I will increase their volume.
This is how they try to earn money. Getting others money and giving a part of it to those that are on top of the pyramid.
4271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to return USDT (Tether) sent to the wrong address? on: February 18, 2020, 07:01:57 PM
(sorry, I decided to blur some details just in case):
You have likely hidden your address for privacy reasons.
Note that all Ethereum transactions are shown to public. As the receiver address is shown, it's very easy to find your address. So, if you care about your privacy very much, replace that screenshot with a new one which the receiver address is hidden too.

Well you can only claim maximum once per hour so even if you never sleep and you never miss a second of waiting times in between claims you can only make 23 claims. I believe you can easily make up for all the lost percentage points for 23 claims with a few big wagers.
(Just a small correction)
If you redeem your reward points for free BTC bonus or free reward point bonus, you can claim free BTC with that bonus up to 24 times. For claiming FREE BTC 24 times in the time that bonus is active, you are allowed to delay for 59 minutes and 59 seconds totally between claims.

I don't think there is any bonus for posting big wins its just for fun today we have 2 wins worth of 20$ and both from newbie accounts and their first post just for win.
There is bonus for posting big wins.
Those who win 20 dollar or 200 dollar can earn an extra 5 dollar.
Those posts are made by newbies because many users win in freebitco while have no account on bitcointalk. Given large number of freebitco users, that's very likely.

4275  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wacthing only wallet on: February 16, 2020, 04:18:26 PM
The key that i have is a public one (start with bc1....) and this one come's from a wallet i created but I turned the wallet into a "Watching only" one i dont even know how, i know i already said that but i'm clearly a newbie so yeah, my bad.

The key (public) is a receiving one from the wallet where my money is but reading at your comments, i don't think i'll be able to move these BTC from the wallet since i can't find the seed or pirvate key i had for this wallet.

As you yourself said, you can do nothing if the only thing you have is a public key.
If you don't have the private key of an address, you don't own the funds stored in that. What proves that you are the owner of bitcoins stored in an address is private key. From now on, be more careful. Never deposit to an address which you don't have its private key.

I can tell you all from experience that it is very hard to maintain the percentage going up while claiming free rolls as once you reach a higher claim level and claim you will then need to wager even more as the free claim is paying a lot more. The problem you will face is that you could lose trying to maintain staying at that higher free claim level. That is what happened to me so now I just wager a little each time and claim the free rolls and build up the reward points and convert them into 1000% free roll claims. This is for anyone wanted just to claim free sats, build up your reward points and claim the 1000% and try and claim as much as you can in that 24 hour period.

For claiming 1000% free BTC bonus, you need to redeem 3200 reward points. Given that you can earn 2 reward points in every free roll, you have to claim the faucet 1600 times. In the unlikely event that you claim the faucet 24 times in a day, it takes 67 days to earn 3200 reward points.
It's never that easy to earn free money. Better to not waste the time.
4278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: February 14, 2020, 08:02:06 AM
I think if the transaction speed can be improved much more then surely many people will feel better because the waiting time to buy and sell is very long.
Transactions are as fast as possible.
Once your gold tokens deposit receives 12 confirmations, they send you ETH or BTC immediately without any delay. They pay high fees, so the transaction is included in the next block.
All websites and exchanges that accept Ethereum or its tokens, wait for at least 12 confirmations and it's normal. Getting 12 confirmations usually takes about 2 minutes if you pay enough fee.
4279  Other / Meta / Re: My post was deleted, wrong moderation on: February 13, 2020, 08:16:06 AM
Posting in a row is forbidden, it's the rule #32 of the pinned thread you can read above so the removal is not contentious in the light of the rules AFAIK.
According to rule number 32. you shouldn't make multiple posts in a row. But this rule is flexible.
Sometimes, the poster has to make multiple posts in a row.
I usually report posts made in a row. But not always. For example when the post is too large and cannot be posted in one post.

If you edit the last post, your post won't be visible.
I report multiple posts if the second post has been made in less than 24 hours after the previous post.
4280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: February 13, 2020, 07:59:16 AM
Its backed by Gold but how do I cash this out for Gold? Can I send my tokens in for grams or ounces of Gold?
You can change gold tokens to ETH and BTC and vice versa using their marketplace. (Visit the link below)
https://gold.storage/en/market

It's very easy to use. Everything is done automatically.
You can also trade gold tokens in Catex, Coinsbit, Cryptex, Livecoin, and Bitforex exchanges.

Who stores the Gold? What country is allowing this and what protections are provided?

Physical golds are stored in BullionStar's vaults. You can verify this using the link below.
