4281  Other / Archival / Re: Some thoughts on the Trust system and Scams on: August 27, 2020, 07:12:16 AM
If you do not have a trust list, you would only see feedback from DT - default trust members.

Ah, I see now. So DT members are always 'on my trust list'? I don't have to edit anything specific?

Yes, unless you excluded someone on your trust list.

No system is completely perfect so DT is not an exception to that, I do wonder why scammers are allowed to roam here but a plagiarist gets permanents ban but that is how the system works here.Flags can give a warning about scam user's topic but I do want the trust system should be shown even if they are not logged into it.
4282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best platform for quickly purchasing bitcoin? on: August 26, 2020, 07:03:56 PM
Coinbase is the best for me. In fact i use coinbase wallet more and i work as a reseller with some of my friends so coinbase is the best place for me buying bitcoin. everyone buys from where there are more benefits to buying bitcoin. Some people buy from someone else and some people buy from ATN and exchange.
You need to complete KYC before trading on coinbase so that os not what OP is looking for.I suggest OP to use LBC if you are not worried about completing kyc with any of their valid proof to confirm their nationality, and you can almost buy or sell bitcoin in minutes.
4283  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Google to switch PH BPO partner following online scam (and mentions Bitcoin) on: August 26, 2020, 05:32:22 PM
I bet that these 3 employees are instantly rich by now, but it was not stated that their Bitcoins have been "seized" by the authorities just yet.
How can you call them rich when they are criminal? And they are caught isn't it, so I'm sure the authorities are going to get back that bitcoins.
It may not be easier to get them now on a country like Phillipines because basically it is a country combined thousands of Islands and also the laws and administration might be differ, correct me if I am wrong. When you got the money then you can bribe anyone to hide your identity and live as someone else for sure.

No experienced crypto investor is going to fall for such shit scam traps, and it almost getting blatant these days only people who are new and no idea about the crypto investments are rushing to buy bitcoins and send it to these address. And also I doubt not much people are going to give attention to these because this idea is already getting reluctant and existing here for years.
Believe me, there are naive people out there that will fall for this. Recall the event of twitter hacked that happened of recent in just few hours, do you know the number of people that fall to that fake giveaway?
All we can do is to keep reporting, it will fade away with time but that doesn't mean we should overlook.
In the twitter hack there maybe few crypto investors become victims but in the youtube giveaways where no previous videos will be available and they uses bot views to get live count views into thousands just to attract the poor greedy people.

How exactly these banks are getting investors? Only the depositors are the reason for the people to invest on banks but the profit of bank is not from investors because they have to return it back the invested amount when they sell their shares.

So banks are making profits by giving the loans and the money is coming from the rich depositors in general.SO exactly bank gets money from people by giving less interest in the name of deposit interest and give the same money to other people for more interest rates.
I believe that today almost all governments are doing everything to ensure that the banking system exists for a very long time. During this period, the economic situation is very difficult and many people live without work, unable to replenish their household budget, and for some, the main job reduces the already small salaries. In order to survive, people go to the bank for loans, leaving their property as collateral. Thus, the banking system not only controls the expenses and incomes of people, but also makes them its slaves. And this whole process takes place under the auspices of the government.
That is why banking system were created for, they don't want the people to enjoy what they are earning in the form of salary or profit they just want to grab them by giving loans to them in the critical conditions by just printing the papers.Government is lacking up the banking system but people are the reason why banks are exists for now.
4287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What you can learn from this YouTuber mistake - related to crypto scam on: August 25, 2020, 05:06:04 PM
100s of youtube accounts are getting hacked every day and started streaming some random interviews of crypto-related members and added a banner related to the giveaway with the address. And the accounts are still hacked with the old phishing attacks and I wonder how he downloaded a random software in his main system where all his primary accounts related to youtube are logged in. Roll Eyes

Stop responding to the promotions from random persons because they are sent to the random mail address in mass numbers to execute these kinds of hacks.
I don't believe that all of scam giveaways on Youtube come from hacked accounts. There are a few types of accounts that run scam giveaways:
- Hacked accounts: Scammers hacked those accounts and use it to scam victims.
- Bought accounts: Scammers bought those accounts from account farmers and use it to scam victims.
- Real accounts from scammers: they create account, build its channel and use it to scam later when channel get enough followers.

Keep in mind any giveaways that require to send BTC or any crypto first and get backs a few more, double, tripple, x1.5 , blah blah are scam.
AFAIK, hackers uses the hacked accounts, they are not going to purchase an youtube account to run a scam giveaway because they need to spend a lot and they don't know whether people will fall for them or not.

And no Youtuber will do in such kind of activity because everyone knows their real identity and if they are scamming people then in a day or two they will be in jail.
4288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Virtual trading before actual one - pros and cons on: August 25, 2020, 03:17:21 PM
I see a lot of advice where people suggest each other to practice on websites where they can trade with virtual money. To be fair, I am in this list too among them but at the same time no one warns such people that it was it's pros and cons, more likely cons are outsiders while giving advices.

Pros: You trade with virtual money where your actions can't raise/damage your real budget, it looks like you spend money like nothing. This gives us possibility to test our skills and abilities in trading and help us further why we make mistakes and what we need to fix while considering the fact that the reason why I profit/lose is because you lose/profit.

Yeah, it sounds good but sometimes when we move on real life trading, things go wrong. We are always warned to leave our emotions outside while we are trading that includes: Not to panic sell, hold when there are harsh moments, etc. But we forget to mention another main emotion that we face in this situation: We trade with our money where we are responsible to results and these results may have huge impact on our life. Inside, in our subconscious, we worry about the results because we trade with our, real money.

To my mind that's one of the main reason why people usually start well with virtual trading and end up badly in real life trading and somehow this is one of the most skipped problem in overall.

Learning and trying there are some differences in it, if someone uses the virtual trading just to get familiar with the trading platforms means they are the one going to lose their money when they start playing with real money where as someone is learning from virtual trading with the same effort as real money involved which will enhance their trading when they go with real money.
4289  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: License to Sell Bitcoin in Person as Oppose To Online Exchange? on: August 25, 2020, 01:22:13 PM
If you are going to do this is on a regular basis then the license may be required but for someone who does it completely person has no reason to report it to the government so they never going to find are you selling bitcoins or not. Maybe the person were arrested for other reasons like for money laundering or dealt with the scammers/criminals.
4290  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 25, 2020, 11:39:18 AM
Banks are making money from the interest rate only, if you deposit some amount into your bank they are going to lend it for more interest rate than your deposit interest and this is what we call they are making money out of nothing.
I don't think they'll only rely on people's deposit. Most of the deposits are can be withdrawn anytime, so they can't match it with loans as they can't force the borrower to pay at a specific period if it can't pay, that's why there's a non performing loans in the bank but bank can't say no when something ask for withdrawal, so it's impossible.

Banks through their investors put money to as capital, and they can also use that for lending purpose, but what I'm aware of is that, majority of the funds they release through loans are also borrowed funds from big banks, which they will only pay lesser interest compared to loans they'll extend.

If there is no more depositors then how banks can lend money to the people.

Like I said, they will borrow money, they don't rely on depositors.

4291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't more people invest in btc? on: August 25, 2020, 09:53:08 AM
Who said people are not investing on BTC, everyday more people are entering into the crypto market but compared to the total number of population and bitcoins existence we are still lacking decades compared to stocks.

Millennial generation investors are investing more in cryptos and in the next few years, we can see a drastic growth in crypto's market cap value.

4293  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 23, 2020, 03:37:39 PM
but I also wonder why in a developed country like USA can have the most cases in the world considering America is a very strong power country of course, the medical facilities and treatment should be good, but this seems to doubt that they are a developed country, with as many cases whether the role of the government there is not optimal or is there a special reason behind the many cases in the country.
The USA has better medical care system but their insurance procedure is kind of complicated and a long process which is he main reason for this infection spreads like a wildfire then only government realized that it is important to quarantine the affected ones in the early stages to stop the community spread but that time everything got out of their hand and still they are trying to control it.
4294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on Bitcoins: Unreasonable or essential? on: August 23, 2020, 10:27:14 AM
Bitcoin is not created by the government, so taxing them is unnecessary. If taxed, do it with bitcoin trading companies and cryptocurrency exchanges. Given the current transaction volume, the crypto market is too small to be taxed. When the crypto market is big enough like the forex market, taxation makes more sense.
You are paying taxes for everything, no matter the price of the product which included in the price itself when you are buying on a supermarket or the street shop you are still paying the taxes. So the government asks taxes from everyone not only from the consumer but we are talking about what is the fair amount which should be in single digit to call it as fair amount.
4295  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this merit begging? on: August 23, 2020, 06:29:02 AM
Merit is unnecessary for such topic,if he is really going to create a company and start advertising their project here they would go for service section and for a reputed member but it seems he wants to reach minimum merit requirement to join so just trying the trick to fool the members.
4296  Economy / Economics / Re: What should you learn so you never get affected by a economic crises ? on: August 22, 2020, 05:58:01 PM
We are too early in the development of AI,all we can do with them ks searching the things we wanted. We still need humans to analyse the bugs and flaws present it so it means they aren't complete AI.

And economic crisis could be arise for different reasons, what a computer can do if the whole world is under natural disaster situation?
, however it’s still prone to error and needs fixing and maintenance from humans. It still needs human interaction as well. It can’t operate on its own without powering it by a man.

If we are managed to find the complete AI system then no such things were really needed, the machine itself can do the necessary thing because it has its own thinking power and the system can create more of such machines without need of humans or at least lot of them so AI is going to be a benefit thing for the company but for the economy it is not going to do much things but people will lose their jobs if we have AI on every field.
4297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More and more moved Bitcoins from "Bitfinex Hack 2016" to unknown wallet-adress on: August 22, 2020, 04:41:21 PM
I guess the one behind this is having a hard time withdrawing all that funds or even using them. One wrong move, or go into a centralized platform, he will get caught.  Grin
There is no place to go if you are being chased Tongue.
Goodluck hackerman. I Hope you get caught.

It seems to me that you pay too much attention to this. Why do you need to know who they are sending these funds to?

Probably because it is one of the most known hacking of huge bitcoin funds? We are talking about huge amount of money here. It's great to know if the hacker gets caught Grin
Conversion of hacked bitcoin is merely impossible because they have to go with centralized service platforms to make it possible that is why hacker also waited too long for the adoption to take place but finally lost his patience.Hopefully he will kake a mistake and leave the traces at somewhere to find him.
4298  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 22, 2020, 03:55:47 PM
how will you react if you're one of us staying on the same country...
If you have any money left then start buying gold or cryptos because the value of fiat is going to get a big hit if the economy falls rapidly. And try to create your own job opportunities don't wait for the government to do it for you which will be really helpful with tacking the unemployment.

But this is not only the issue of Philippines, almost every developing and developed country are into that situation.

at least in developed countries the development and prevention of this epidemic will be easier than developing, because the production of infrastructure, and others are already developed from developing countries, the unemployment rate is low, corruption may be only a little, and it is inversely proportional to developing countries.
There is no difference with developed and developing countries when it comes to the pandemic, USA one of the most developed country is also ranging in the top of number of people got infected but the difference comes in the recovery phase if it is developed country and overwhelming with wealth then they can spend lot money for that process which may be lacking in the developing countries.
4299  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: August 22, 2020, 08:15:12 AM
I was going to try, but it doesnt accept any altcoin... and spend 6 usd on BTC transaction fee just for try something is not good... Or maybe it was projected for high-rollers only...
A recent surge on the bitcoin's price made the network mempool to get clogged that is the reason the recommended fee has been increased to reduce the waiting time but you still can make transactions with a low fees if you are not in a hurry which may take a day or two.
4300  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merits offered as a prize on: August 21, 2020, 04:52:40 PM
Merits shouldn't be used in such a way, yes users can do merit any post if they want but to have the effective system it should be used for the right cause.Because they are using merit as token for that they are supposed to receive money so its like trading the merits. But only admin can comment on this to know what can be done.
