4281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 24, 2023, 08:45:30 AM
Barcelona are by far the best in La Liga in all aspects. And since Barcelona managed to defeat Real Madrid in El Clasico, Barcelona are one of the best title contenders ever. Barcelona will never want to miss out on the La Liga title despite performing so well.
the league is not obtained by just 1 or two matches. Barca performed consistently very well throughout the season. they lost their focus for a while, but Xavi noticed and they fixed it quickly.
Madrid lost the momentum to catch up, and now Barca will focus on La Liga, and Madrid will focus on the Champions League. Xavi has made an extraordinary achievement this season.
Indeed, there was an opportunity for Real Madrid to catch up on points, but they could not take advantage of it properly and Barcelona returned to momentum to continue their winning trend. The two teams now each have their own focus on the competition they are considered capable of achieving so far and that's pretty good considering that the competition between the two is now at the right point.
You should just forget about Real Madrid meeting up or as a viable contender against Barcelona this season, they've missed the chance and that did not just happen. The present 12 points gap is another consideration in this regard when the league is already ending, so what? Do you think Barcelona will be looking and get themselves won in 4 matches? Definitely not possible with their present squad and displayed determination into winning the league.

Their last match against Real Madir is deserving too, though the two sides were great.

4282  Economy / Economics / Re: Why didn't the fed buy back SVB's bonds? on: March 24, 2023, 07:22:46 AM
In banking and economics, there are ways to approach situations, this might be what FED sees as best with the economic reality. As we all know, inflation is getting higher, which is forcing the FED to raise the Federal Funds Rate. And naturally, bonds will be devalued in the process, which will not be proper for the government to buy back bonds to avoid altering the hiking purpose. They (FED) consider the total supply of money, in which buying is only advisable when the FED is reducing the interest rate.

In other words, there will be an imbalance of the equation if FED buys back the SVB bonds.
4283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 24, 2023, 06:56:56 AM
I understand your feeling and it's good since you might be careful, sensitive and know the value of Bitcoin as an asset. Well, this shouldn't still stop you from spending your coin as it's not only about investment. Just be sure that you have a sizable amount still left in your wallet for the investment, you should not deprive yourself of good things in life because of it.

That said, you need to be patient and speculative, this is by knowing when Bitcoin is on the beraish trend. Spending it at that time will never be an issue, you can as well replenish back your coin when it's becoming bullish again.
4284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Drinking Game sold using Crypto on: March 24, 2023, 06:25:19 AM
Hey guys, I've created a drinking game called Skal (skaldrinkinggame.com) and I'm using crypto.com as a payment gateway. For all people with experience buying/selling using cryptocurrency, what is the best platform that is usually used in ecommerce websites? Thanks.
This is a good development, but you must be certain of the ups and down of accepting crypto as a payment system. Based on what I experienced, please do not use a third-party actor, they will ruin your business by extorting your customers with high charges.

Just this week, I was charged approximately $5 for paying $122.57 for a service, which is ridiculous and so discouraging. Therefore, you might use a popular exchange or wallet for the transaction, and many of your clients might be using it too, so the transaction will be direct, internal and free.

You can afterwards move it to a more secure wallet if you want.
4285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade up capital: $200 on: March 24, 2023, 06:16:16 AM
First, I believe you and your fine are one, there should not be any interference, and the agreement and transparency between you two about the money are crucial and final.

However, you should be aware that trading is so risky, and if you are new, it's about 99% sure you will lose that money. Also by your expression, it's clear that you know little or nothing about trading, so the risk is high and it will pain your wife if you lose the money.

Why not invest it in holding Bitcoin when the price drops? Investments like that attract lesser risk than trading.
4286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an asset. on: March 23, 2023, 04:16:53 PM
Bitcoin is undoubtedly an asset, only that it's a virtual kind of asset. Anything that has value and could be owned is an asset, which makes Bitcoin one of them. And for it to have a value of about $28,000 and be listed in the world's electronic trading means that it's a high-value asset that is tradable.

It's you that should plan your investment in this asset very well and will always be making money. Even if you do not know much about Bitcoin and trading generally, just be sure that you learn how to read the peaks and bottoms of the asset.

Then invest when it's always at the lower levels to maximize your profits.
4287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 23, 2023, 08:39:01 AM
. Many of my friends gamble.  And asks me about gambling sites.  But I never give them my referral link from the casino I use.  Because I am not very interested in getting referral commission.  Because I don't think I can get much out of it
that is so wrong mate , why deny yourself from gaining even if it is small money since your friends are directly asking you about the site to gamble?

you are also denying yourself from getting a chance to make your friend find a site that is safe to play since you refer it to them.

referral can be a sideline to earn and if this is  knocking on your door? then please get the opportunity because you are lucky in having asked by a friend and no need to lure them to use your referral.
I got to know the referral program many years ago and I've made money from it, though I've never referred anyone to a gambling site, maybe because I am not serious about gambling, just doing it for fun. But I will always encourage anyhow that has the opportunity to grab it as it's free money, and it could be much if the offer of the gambling company is high.

A friend shouldn't unnecessarily disturb you for your referral codes and you say no, it's unwise. Because if they go of their own volition, then it means that the person will totally lose while the gambling company takes the whole percentage.
4288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FOMC Press Conference and effect on bitcoin on: March 23, 2023, 08:23:01 AM
Bitcoin sold sharply after the FOMC meetings of yesterday. The Federal Funds Rate was hiked to 5.00% which represents an additional 25 basis points and also an indication that inflation is seriously battling the economy of the US.

That said, I've explained to those that reached out to me after the sharp fall that Bitcoin will not fall for long. The market was only confused in the wake of that news, which coupled with the needed correction of the coin.

However, the effect can't see the light of day, the sentiment of Bitcoin is still bullish as most economic considerations disfavour the USD at this present time.
4289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 23, 2023, 08:08:50 AM

Manchester City are fighting for the league title on the other hand. Winning every single one of the matches left is very crucial for them. They need to keep up with Arsenal until facing them in Etihad again. Hence I think Manchester City won't make a mistake and they will get the win they want.

When they meet Arsenal at the Etihad, it will be a battle of the league contenders. The current point differential between the two teams is still in favor of Arsenal, and they will want to increase it in order to stand on firm ground. Manchester City, on the other hand, will not be taking it easy and will be looking to close the point gap. Manchester City is always ready to capitalize on a minor error by Arsenal in order to take the lead in the standings.
One strategy Arsenal has been using this season to keep up on top is by being consistent winning games so that when they play against the bigger teams and they drop points, it won’t have an effect on their point gap on the table. They can lose to Manchester city and still remain on top of the table. In fact both of them will drop points in the later stage of the competition. But since Arsenal is just focusing on the EPL, there are little or no chances that they’ll lose that position to Manchester city.
It's not easy the way you are relating things, it would be a danger for Arsenal to let Man City win them, and it might cost them the EPL this season after almost 2 years. I will always blame them for not maintaining their wide margin after the world cup, this has put them in a difficult position. And if they allow Man City at all, it might be an issue for them as Man City are used to this kind of close competition, if they break forth, they might maintain it till the end of the season which will be so painful to Arsenal.
4290  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 23, 2023, 05:29:44 AM
A high hope on Bitcoin hitting $1M pretty soon is so much these days, I don't know what should have triggered such high hopes. The first Twitter I read about this, and perhaps the first person that initiated a theory on it is Balaji Srinivasan. He claimed the coin will reach the target in 90 days, but that's not just possible.

It started when the US banks are having issues and were exposed by FED, and I believe that the apex bank would surely give enough bailout in this regard. So, Bitcoin reaching $1M, well, I don't know, maybe in years.
4291  Economy / Economics / Re: Scarcity of money on: March 22, 2023, 03:36:20 PM
It's good to be constructive in your expression, maybe you are a Nigerian and letting the present cash crunch control your emotion. It would have also been nice if you could name the countries in Africa, Europe and others that are facing the cash crunch, I doubt if you would be able to name up to 5 of them.

Zimbabwe was the African country that was battered by it but is getting over it before the case of Nigeria in which the main target of the government is to counter Money laundering, Vote buying, Kidnapping and many other menaces in the society.
In regards to Nigeria, would you really say that what the government did with the redesigned and less printed money with the reasons you listed above really worked? We understand they were accusations and counter-accusations about the Naira redesign and what was the result of the election? It was only the normal citizens that felt the pain and still feeling the pain. I personally don't have any problem with that cos nothing wrong with going Cash-less only if every aspect of the economy will follow suit.
Everybody is feeling this cashless policy, my dear, it doesn't leave the rich and politician out of it, even POS payments is now changing money. To me, the initiative is very good but ill-times and was sabotaged by politicians and ordinary people. Till now, politicians are stockpiling again their lost money with the new notes to return to business as usual with their "Ghana must go" and unsuspecting people are building businesses on the suffering of others.

Money is leaving the bank but not entering, there is now an imbalance that only God will save us. Still, I will not blame the government for this, it's a good development but fought back by the overambitious people.
4292  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 22, 2023, 09:18:42 AM
~snip~
But it is possible that this whole story about such a huge loss may well be just a fabrication in order for people to discuss gambling itself more.
And more people would gamble.  And by the way, these players, purely psychopogically, would make big bets, more than they did before.  There is also an option that such a loss is negotiable and the losing player did not really lose such a lot of money.
So it is not clear what is true here, and what is just fiction and lies, which are actually hidden advertising of gambling.  Or, it may be a hidden advertisement of a particular casino or bookmaker.

So I would not trust such information about a colossal loss at 100% Smiley

If this story is fiction that was deliberately made up by a casino, why does the story have to be this dramatic, at least the story will be different. for example, a gambler won a bet with a nominal value of $ 1.4 million with a small capital. that way, it will trigger gamblers to try to get the same luck.

After all, the essence of the story the OP shared in this thread is the message between the lines. that said, there are no easy bets, even lower odds always have risks. which means, nothing is without risk in every bet even though the probability that we have is very high. well, actually you can learn the contents of this story, or try to research it. In the link the OP shared, a guy bets $1.4 million at odds @1.01. which means, the guy has a high probability of winning in his betting session with 99% win. unfortunately, in that link, the previously unseeded team was able to make an epic comeback. in the end, the man lost the money he gambled.

Well, in a sports match is it natural for a strong team to have the potential to be conquered by a weaker team, as happened in this man's case. So, regardless of whether it's true or not. the important point, the essence of what the OP conveyed. he advised, to be careful when making bets even though low odds have a high probability of winning. however, there will always be risks.
Personally, I don't think this is a make-up story, the link is there and I know it's not the first time that multimillionaires are betting a huge amount. The risk is too high and senseless at the same time. Come to think of it, the odd of just 1.008 for a huge amount of $1.4M, means the guys would gain just $11,200, how senseless is that?

Buying Bitcoin would have saved the day, after all, if bought at a reasonable level, by now, he might be counting excesses to the tune of hundreds of dollars.
4293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people promote gambling sites . on: March 22, 2023, 08:56:24 AM
so why many people promote gambling sites by telling the new people that, you will get bonuses (without telling them the terms and conditions) and this is very easy to make money out of gambling, some youtuber tell that, see how i make 3x 4x you can also make profits like i did, just go down their is link in description from there you can get bonuses and you also able to 2x 3x 4x your money)
I understand your frustration and it takes a good heart to express what your thread is all about. Yet, you should know that gambling is not for children, it's for adults, and I don't think it's the fault of the gambling company and their promoters if an adult would not read the terms and conditions of the companies they are dealing with before risking their money with them.

A lot might be off about gambling practices though, but the lawful ones will still play inline with their set out rules, and they are not forcing anyone to gamble if the conditions are not good for them.
4294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could there be any importance and need for some kind of mild regulations? on: March 22, 2023, 07:44:00 AM
I like to read from an unbiased mind like yours. Truthfully, I love Bitcoin and cryptocurrency ideology very well, and presently, I am making daily income from the opportunity the coins have brought. But this doesn't mean I should be selfish, our dear cryptocurrencies will still be active, yet, regulations will cover up for the illicit flows that the evil users are using.

I read one article on this, and it so much agrees with what I thought about the who situation. Before cryptocurrency, scammers, terrorists, money launderers, and traffickers use other tighter means that is stringent for them. But now, they use crypto, which is worrisome.

No matter how much we love cryptocurrency and want to support it, should we selfishly hate our society?

Only regulations can reduce these illegal financial rates.

Else, people will do as they like, and most people don't care if the whole world collapses as long as they are benefiting.
4295  Economy / Economics / Re: Florida Governor DeSantis calls for CBDC ban on: March 22, 2023, 06:58:12 AM
The Governor of Florida is only sharing his opinion, he doesn't have the power to do anything in this regard. And what is causing the delay in the passing and implementation of CBDC is the damage it might cost the existing market, nothing more. Careful consultation is being made and I have even thought on this severally to the point that many fintech would collapse if care is not taken.

This is a more valid point than the ranting of the Governor pointing at invalid excuses like that of Venezuela and others.
4296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 22, 2023, 04:39:39 AM
Arsenal can't win Manchester city so the best they can do is to make sure they win the rest of the games left to play then maybe draw to Manchester city or lose to them but then they won't be at a risk since they can win other games and still be ahead of them. Manchester city will be coming into that game fully prepared and be ready to school Arsenal.

The game between the two best team of the season won't be the deciding game instead the other games will be and who wants the title more will be victorious and I think arsenal has the edge here since they should be having all their focus on the premier league now that they have nothing left to fight for.
It's not certain that Arsenal will lose to Manchester City, but there is still a chance to win against them when Arsenal have a strategy that can withstand the attacking players from Manchester City.Previously, Manchester City had also lost, so Arsenal had to use the strategy of the opponent who managed to beat Manchester City in order to win the match on April 27.
Man City and Arsenal are doing just great, the two teams have realized their past mistakes and they have buckled up to the task. I believe that Arsenal is enjoying their season now with the unexpected performance, and is in dire need of the trophy than Man City since they have been denied for almost 2 decades.

Sincerely, I don't have my preference between the two, the 26th of April is still far, more than a month ahead, let's continue to study their both feats before then for a better clue.
4297  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 21, 2023, 02:26:33 PM
Casinos are just like every other business and at they will easily set the system to support only themselves and protect the interest of the casino's revenue generation is the primary aim of casinos so at that it will be better if we have the mindset of losing to the house but not all the time.
it is not easy to set a system in a casino business mate because this is full of important skills and knowledge to conduct , because if this is just like other business to set up then maybe half of us here are having a casino business now.
but what you have said is correct that only the generation of money is what they are concerned and just a bit for the players concern.
money will always be the main purpose as like what all business is.
What do you guys actually expect? Should casinos let themselves go bankrupt and out of business? They wouldn't do that, and to be honest, casinos don't hide the fact that they have an advantage over the players, they call it the house edge and almost every casino has it, for some, it is quite lower while for others it's higher. It also differs from every other game that you play in a casino.

So the house definitely has an edge over the gamblers, and almost every gambler understands this they still gamble because this isn't considered cheating if they are open about it as it is a part of the business.
It's not everybody that knows the fact that casinos can't be beaten, many believe they can be so rich through it and even make them bankrupt. But experience later convince them. If more people know that casinos can't be beaten and will be difficult to make any money from them, the patronage will be so little as they wouldn't even have tried it at all since it's a trap.

The naivety of many people makes them continue to play, and some with big money, but how many could vouch that they are winning than losing? It will be slim, which is why I like sportsbooks if you want to be fairly treated and gamble reasonably if you know your selection.
4298  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Bitcoin always affected on: March 21, 2023, 11:42:58 AM
I apologize if this is a dumb question but the fact is that I don't know why.

My question is, why is Bitcoin market always affected by all economics news, example is the issues with US bank like the SVB. Thank you
There is nothing to apologize about, we are learning every day.

You should know that Bitcoin is an asset, and it's a risk-on asset class. This means that Bitcoin is not in isolation, any news and events that affect any of the risk-on assets will surely affect Bitcoin. This is because it is paired with important currencies and assets like BTC/USD, BTC/EUR, BTC/GBP, BTC/Gold, BTC/OIL and others.

Many might not be shown by your exchanges and brokers, but are elsewhere. So, anything happening to the USD and many other currencies/assets paired with it will always be having effects on the coin.
4299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: March 21, 2023, 08:11:28 AM
I think bitcoin price will touch $30000 within this month. Already the Bitcoin market is moving towards its milestone now that the price of Bitcoin in the market has exceeded $28k dollars. Very soon it will cross $30k dollars so investing in Bitcoin can be more profitable. There is still enough time to invest in the future Bitcoin price will increase at a rocket speed.
Staying optimistic, I'm also feeling optimistic about the $30k.
Today especially in the last few hours, $28k was breached. So now that I can eye $30k as resistance to be broken the next day, that becomes very likely if this rally continues.

I can say that during March bitcoin has been very bullish. Many expect $30k to be touched, meanwhile don't take the risk if you are a day trader. Take your profit, but hold if you are a long-term holder.
For Bitcoin to have reached above $28k, there is a high possibility that it would reach $30k in no time. It's still stable above $27k despite hitting the level many days again, which is an indication that the coin is still very strong. It should continue to press higher until $30k is reached. The most viable support level is at $25k, which is the level it was hesitant to break many times in its initial bullish run this year.

If it stays above the level in the next 2 weeks, then there is a high possibility that it would reach $30k soonest, and will even head higher towards my year target of $35k.
4300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time to buy or sell? on: March 21, 2023, 07:29:18 AM
Buy and selling is depend on the price if the price of btc or any other coin is low then it is an advantage to buy but if it is high then we should wait it to become low before we invest, some trader are depending on the chart or the possible next movement using the chart but some are just using basic trading guide because nobody knows the next movement.
Above all, it's good that we are speculative in nature, if we are good at that, then we will naturally know when to buy and sell Bitcoin, and massive money would be made consistently.

I was late to start trading and investing in Bitcoin, but I was vast in trading, which helps me to get on my feet pretty fast. In my case, I don't handle my coin the way many others do because I have a fundamental investment idea. What I do is trade Bitcoin on futures always, and in terms of investment, I hold when it is appreciating, and use spot trading to sell it when it depreciates.

These always help me maximise my profits.
