4281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 19, 2022, 07:29:11 AM
It is instant after the decree is issued but it will take some time depending on the severity of the crime.   Authority cannot shutdown a service easily unless proven guilty of the accused crime.  It takes process and often times when the attorney of the service provider is well versed with the system the process takes months to years before the decision is made.
Yes, that's what I'm saying and that's why there's a due process and proper procedure before they do that. It is out of law if they force closure without due process.
These businesses and establishments know also the law about it and that's why if there are authorities that have done it to them, they can sue them and put it properly in the court.
Having that pending case can already ruin the reputation of the site, either they ask for compensation if they won the case or totally close the business to save their reputation as a developer and make another business again that will follow the law this time.
A pending case really gives that anxiety not just to the company but also to the players. But as long as it's not the verdict then, there's no need to think of it as a problem at all.

Money laundering is a big issue, gambling activities are already red flag to the government and that’s why many are strictly implementing the KYC system, or else they will face problem later on if the government intervene with their system.
Do not generalize this. Because if it's already a red flag to the government then we see no Vegas, we see no Macao and other gambling operators that are making business on a country.
4282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: September 19, 2022, 06:43:06 AM
If you're doing good with your trading skill, I will suggest you stick to that very skill you're familiar with. The market is constantly bleeding since last year but yet you're doing fantastically okay, my friend, you can't be any better in this bear season.
Any experienced trader will be beaten up by this whole bear situation. But that's not going to be the worst part of it and there could be more than that.
But as we trade and invest, we know what risk we're up to and think of the opposite of it so that we'll see the greater part of it. That, on this bear market, too many folks will be happy again after the market rises again, maybe after a year or halving.
4283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 19, 2022, 05:31:09 AM
I've decided to help the poor and then gamble based on some personal experience. The recent one happened yesterday and today I lost big in gambling after long break. Yesterday few people requesting for help was on the streets, I had money but I did investigation to help and further didn't help them. My mind says if I could've helped them yesterday I couldn't have lost today.
Do you mean the karma? Like when you do good things to others, then good things shall also happen to you. I also believe that but as you've said, do a little bit of investigation before helping others if they really are in need of help.
Because it's becoming a side hustle of some people that they really are well off and pretends to be beggars and don't have anything in possession. I've seen some videos of it so it's hard to trust.
4284  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: September 19, 2022, 04:27:07 AM
It's part of being responsible, it's like having your first achievement of finishing school. Although it's not really the basis of success that's where it all starts.
For someone who's new to the real world, these kids and aspiring young professionals are doing their best to show what they're up to and finishing studies is one of them. As for the employers, these graduates thrived and were held responsible for finishing their courses. And don't bring the card of the discussion for most successful people and company owners aren't even college graduates.
4285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: September 18, 2022, 11:48:08 PM
because you are supposed to know a coin better before you invest in that coin because of loss new project is good to with someone that I have experience in that project
This how it should go. An investor should know what's the status of the coin that he'll buy because if you're like playing it randomly, you're good to lose your money and you should just gamble instead of investing.
I've seen to many newbies that do this, they buy without knowing the whole thing about what they've chosen to invest. Then, when the dump comes, they'll ask if the random coin they bought still has a chance to soar.
4286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 18, 2022, 11:20:23 PM
What PBA needs to do is to focus on making the league better again, there's a lot of issues that they need to address PBA should start working on that.
They're not addressing it, they only addressed it because they're being called out and that made them nervous. The answers given by the comms aren't even enticing to hear and they only think of themselves. I just hope that B League would boycott the meeting that they'll about to have with the comms.

What would boycotting the meeting do? It will just worsen the relationship between the two leagues. It is better if they can come up with something that would benefit both leagues and the players as well.

I do not know if it is still in effect, but I think college players who do not want to get drafted into PBA are not able to play in PBA at all. If they can come up with a resolution that players can join b league and can still play in PBA after their contracts expire, it will be good for the league and the players.
The B League is making the PBA as a farm team, while the PBA has got teams as a farm team and we all know about it. The boycotting will just lead the management of PBA to be softened their decisions. It doesn't look good as they're stopping these great players to have a good career overseas.
For sure with the tightening of SBP and PBA, the great college basketball player athletes won't allow themselves to get drafted into PBA and will just accept good offers from B League and other leagues like KBL, etc.

I don't think authorities will shutdown a service easily but they will first check it if the service is following a protocol to avoid the money launders.
They can close it in an instant if there's a proper basis and court order. But for that first offense, they'll just give them a penalty and the establish has to pay for it.
They'll do an investigation and when it's proven, they'll have an assessment and basis on what action must be taken. The authorities won't just come and go without any evidence provided to these establishments without proper research and basis.

4288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100 soon? on: September 18, 2022, 10:30:38 PM
$130+ was its ATH.
The move of miners can really make the price of it back there again to $100 and that's why it'll only take time until it happens. The market's situation won't look at it as it's possible. But with the current price, it's got, only 3x of increase and that's going to be there once again.
I guess that the main use of it these days is to be just chosen as the alternative coin to be mined and get some profits from it. But, I don't think it's profitable as of the moment for the miners.
4289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 18, 2022, 10:08:52 PM
Simple answer to the problem is dont transfer money required for bills into the crypto you will be gambling, if its not there it cant be used up.  The ideal strategy is one you eliminate the worst odds, dont risk money that cannot be lost or it stops being a game and its really not fun at that point.
The sad truth is this happens for real. Those gamblers that have been itching with their hands can't stop it because all they want to do is to gamble.
Even the money is for the bills or anything that has been allocated for, they don't mind it and they'll just push for the satisfaction or thought that it might grow.
4290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should u mine right now? on: September 18, 2022, 09:18:15 PM
Ravencoin is what I'm seeing that's being chosen to be mined by those post-ETH merge miners. Another one that they can choose is Dogecoin or etc if they want to.
But as much as of their concern right now, it's not really profitable to mine any coin right now and you're just wasting your resources if you do it now.
Although it's not going to be the same forever, there will be a time that another coin will be perfectly mined by them but they have to wait on what is this coin that shall be prevailed.
4291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GREENPEACE INTENSIFIES CAMPAIGN AGAINST BITCOIN FOLLOWING ETHEREUM'S MERGE on: September 18, 2022, 09:56:47 AM
Surprised to see that it was Greenpeace. Another agenda to spread and they should even focus more on other things than this. Oh well, they are again into PoW thing that consumes energy. They don't get it, they should campaign against those factories that are spreading their leaked oil in the rivers and not with these machines that can be run with the alternative energy for the miners that own farms of it.

I was surprised too. They could already campaign against the energy expenditure of traditional banking, but no, which makes me think that they are more in cahoots with the powers that be than they like to pretend.

The bad thing about this is that with the climate sensitivity around the world, the message that Bitcoin is a threat to the environment is getting through.
It's more like propaganda, we've been used to this campaign and accusations against bitcoin. Those known people tell that bitcoin consumes that much energy and it should be alternative and green energy that must be used. Even before they tell us that the miners have been doing that, at least not the majority but we can be specific to them that they're already into green energy. Whoever is behind these campaigns is really hitting their business and the fault is bitcoin, so, this is one of their way of pushing people away into bitcoin.

4293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Either Bitcoin will end or we will be at the peak of inflation on: September 17, 2022, 10:56:18 PM
Bitcoin does not end and will never do so because bitcoin is weaken in charges but it does not implies about its ending point. Due to inflation numerous coins become lower and depreciated but in my opinion bitcoin is not such a weaken that it can be deliberate to be end once but will go ahead for further increasing points in coming days.
Speaking of inflation, we're really at an extreme point where inflation is too much. It's probably not yet the peak but we're about to be there.
Sad to say that we need to deal with all of this but this is not going to stay with us forever. The time will be there to recover and it will decrease.
Enough with the bitcoin will end discussions, it's even said on its first years of stay.
4294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 17, 2022, 10:23:06 PM
It's not worth it but for small bettors, a cent of gain is good enough knowing who's going to be the match winner. And for some casinos, there's the wagering bonus that you can fill with that bet even if the odds are too low.
There are also times, that a supporter won't mind about betting with his favorite team at a low odds as long as he's putting his trust to them and that little profit that he's getting won't really be a matter to him as he's shown support through betting for them.
4295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to attract users to the blockchain game ? on: September 17, 2022, 09:56:28 PM
Real plan of white paper and road map should be the main concern and then when you think that you have it already, that's when you plan for your marketing.
The typical marketing is that you show how the game works, the good graphics, the close up shots and angles. That will be interesting to the eyes of the audience and will make us play it more because of the way it looks inside the game.

4297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are people doing except holding Bitcoin? on: September 17, 2022, 09:02:36 PM
I guess long term hodling of bitcoin is still the most basic and probably the most profitable too. One can actually get out from poverty if he is capable of managing his investment in bitcoin. And while most are into long term hodling, others are also diversifying their portfolio through selling some of their bitcoin and use to finance other investments like gold or real estate. That way, multi sources of profits will be more visible in the future.
There are other holds that are more profitable than btc as what the altcoiners have said. It's based on their experience but for me, as my personal choice of holding bitcoin, it is what has brought me the most profit of holding it and then selling for a few.
The keys that you've mentioned are ways of diversifying. As people hears that strategy and word, they're all thinking to diversify into different altcoins but it's not the only way of doing it, there's the other investments like you said, mainly one of the best is real estate.
4298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: September 17, 2022, 08:26:02 PM
My own biggest mistake was I sold all my bitcoin before the ATH of 2017 it was indeed a big disappoinment to me, I sold my bitcoin cheaply when I suppose to be hodling it thinking the price will dump after reading all sort of news of clambdown of exchanges by the Chinese government then and the Chinese were one of the highest hodlers of bitcoin all those negative news culminated to my selling of all my bitcoin in the pre 2017 era almost all the major cryptocurrencies were very cheap ETH, BNB e.t.c, well it's a sad experience I have to move on afterall it is irreversible and learnt my lesson to always hodl my irrespective of negative news relating to bitcoin.
You sold all? That's really a disappointing moment because we don't know that by 2017, the price of bitcoin will soar a lot and it wasn't expected.
Those were also the time that came next that ETH and BNB were totally cheap but I didn't bought them, too many missed opportunities but still holding btc somehow, no matter what the market situation is. I'll keep holding it and will wait until the right time to sell and there won't be any regret that I'll think that I may have in the future.
4299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 17, 2022, 07:51:29 PM
The problem with PBA right now isn't with the money that can be used in adding a team because like @blockman said, the companies will shoulder the expenses including the franchise and the salaries of the players.

This might be harsh and only my speculation but the problem why PBA isn't expanding because our commissioner is being controlled by 2 big companies (I will not say their names, but you know which companies I'm talking about). There are many companies that are interested in joining the PBA. Companies like SM, establishments like Cebuana and I think even Chooks to go is interested as well. The problem is these 2 companies are using Commissioner to not let them enter that's why PBA isn't adding more teams now. My speculation only but I guess some already knew it.
You've said it just as what I was thinking and also what I've read from people over social media. It is these commissioners who are only protecting their self-interest but no really love for the league and for the sport. We all like basketball but these officials are really doing it for themselves and not for the country. Just look what they're doing to Navaro, he's set to play for a league in South Korea but he can't get clearance to the SBP. These two are suckers of our countries, PBA and SBP officials, they're all connected.
4300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally? on: September 17, 2022, 09:46:22 AM
BTC has always been the standard of market performance, if Bitcoin rises then Altcoins also rises or vice versa, this is difficult to replace because investors always make Bitcoin for assets, even though Marketcap and Daily Trading are getting smaller but I'm sure Bitcoin will always be standard and market size whether red or green.
And most of the pairs in the market are with bitcoin and it's everywhere. That's why whenever bitcoin pumps, the alts are also doing the same manner.
This is hard to replace and even people think that it's likely that the motion of bitcoin will be changed and alts won't follow it at the right time, they're wrong on that assumption.
Because the fact is that bitcoin will always be the king and alts are just minions on this market.
