BTW, I received the Coinvest coins, or also known as the Niue coin. Have to say I was not familiar with Country of Niue. Had to look it up on a map and it is, as we would say in the USA South, in the 'Boonies'; it's out there. Would like to visit though, very tropical. If I do ever go, I will not spend my Coinvest coin there even though it would be accepted as legal tender.
Steeley
Niue is notorious for contracting out their “rights” to allow coin makers to make coins that are legal tender. Cook Islands is another one that does this a lot. So there are now at least 4-5 bitcoin coins that are legal tender out there..maybe even more at this point. Still looking for one of these if anyone wants to sell one ..or if anyone wants to do a small group buy with me please shoot me a message.

Someone messaged me on Telegram claiming I won the auction. I'm pretty sure I just got scammed. They asked me to pick an escrow. I picked SatsLife. I think what happened is they quickly created a fake account and I was too stupid to realize this. I sent the money to the "escrow". Then the accounts all disappeared from Telegram. I'm shaking right now because I fell for such an obvious scam.
Really sorry to hear this. Unfortunately this place is absolutely crawling with scumbag scammers and you’ve got to really be vigilant. When you’re new here it’s easy to make mistakes, so don’t take it too hard on yourself. We live and learn. & to the scammer..you’ll get yours you pos. Karma is a bitch.

Unfortunately there have been many fakes of these coins, I have several myself. I am not sure there is any way to tell a fake from an authentic. Maybe someone else here can chime in?
FYI..that article you linked is very old, so any pricing it lists out would not be accurate. These are cool coins as they have some nice history to them, but not knowing whether they are real or fake plus just the fact that they are not heavily demanded would make your current cost quite high. Just some friendly FYI's I thought I'd share.

I have 4 peeled V2 Casascius brass 1BTC. They're all in various states of condition, curious what the average price might be for these, should I auction/sell as a job-lot and is eBay a good option? Thank you
Peeled Casascius coins tend to vary in value quite a bit. Not only for what type of Casascius coin it is, but often depending on the current “market temperature”. Rising bitcoin prices, new collectors entering the market during bull runs etc tend to cause an upswing in value. Their value also depends on if you still have a hologram with/on the coin and how good of shape it is in ( as well as how good of shape the coin is in, of course). For example, these coins you have tend to sell anywhere from $40-200 without a hologram and with it you tend to see $150 and up. So like many collectibles the market is always changing. As to where to sell it? I think you will get a fairly similar return selling it here or ebay. No selling fees here however.

Any extras? I’m interested in 1 of each. Thx
I am sure we can address that once the orders arrive - I still have 2 that have not paid for their orders. all are paid. I know you posted about getting one, I did ask you which one but did not see a response. Apologies, forgot to check the thread again. One person should have reached out to you about offering up 1 one their BitPay coins. Plz let me know if they have not. Would still love to grab the other one too, if anyone happens to have a spare. Thx

Very cool! I like the idea of hiding keys in every day items that a burglar normally wouldn't think twice about looking in ( nor do burglars really target bitcoin wallets at the moment, so a double safe idea). Thank you for hosting the raffle , very much appreciated !

Thanks for sharing this link, I will have to give it a watch when I get a little bit of free time here later on today. I do think Cardano is a decent project, and I am very close to being a bitcoin maximalist. However I have to be honest, I don't see Cardano nearing $15 anytime soon.. though I do think its about time I pick up some ( used to own some, but has been some time).

I disagree with your assessment here. Yes sure there are plenty of very wealthy people whom have and are investing in bitcoin, but that same goes for any type of investment out there. Rich people may be able to manipulate the market to some extent, but they are not to blame for government regulation. It doesn't matter how we go to the current bitcoin market cap, it's simply that we go there..whether that was from "rich" people or from every day folks with small buys here and there. So it's not rich people, it's the simple fact that bitcoin has grown in such popularity overall that made/makes governments take a second look, so to speak.

Hello just for better understanding i want to know some terms that are used in bitcoin price websites like coinmarketcap.com or coingecko.com , some of them are clear but i want to understand a little deeper with example. some terms like : - Market Cap
- Fully Diluted Market Cap
- Volume
- Trading Volume
- Market Dominance
- Circulating Supply
Thank you. Market Cap- total amount of money in one coin- for example bitcoin just hit a 1 Trillion market cap recently ( 885 Billion right now). Fully Diluted Market Cap- "Fully diluted market value is what a digital asset's market cap would be if all the coins or tokens in its total supply were issued. ... finance allocated its total supply of YFI tokens within a week, which means that its market-cap-to-FDV ratio is equal to 100%" okex.com Volume- total value of coins traded Trading Volume- this measures the total coins traded/exchanged hands for a certain period of time Market Dominance- the market cap of one coin over the total market of all coins ( example- bitcoin has market dominance over all coins) Circulating Supply- As for bitcoin, this means currently there is a circulating supply of 18.5+ million coins that have been issued, with a future total circulating supply of 21 millions coins

This concept was popularised by Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger. Each person has area of thing "they know", e.g. if you work in computing you will know ´bout programming, networks, systems and the like. In investment, the rule is "stick to your circle of competence", just do not invest in things you do not understand. Linked to this is the Dunning-Kruger effect - when you thing you know something and you have understood a problem, but you really have no idea. Is bitcoin in your circle of competence or are you Dunnin-Krugering around? As an investment advisor I would like to think that most all "investments" of any kind are in my circle of competence, for the most part anyhow. I think this should go for most all other finance people. However unlike Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger, I don't down talk investments/technologies I do not understand as both these old farts do with bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies.

Andreas is the best. When I found bitcoin back in 2014 or so, the first book I ever read was Mastering Bitcoin, though it was super high level and over my head, it was still a good intro and introduced me to the Greek Freak. I of course agree with him here. In keeping with the whole boat theme, bitcoin is not only the life raft, it's the tide itself that raises all other boats...no denying either.

Dogecoin is overpriced and always has been and always will be. There is literally no reason that dogecoin should have any sort of significant market cap. The coin was created as a meme, is pumped and dumped time after time, and has no legitimate future. Think about it, what does Dogecoin offer us that a thousand other coins don't already offer? If you truly believe in Dogecoins future I've got news for you...you need to spend a lot more time learning some finance /cryptocurrency basics.
