^^ What is shocking is that Nick admitted it, but I'm not surprise at all. Sports personalities have many fans and they are willing to be part of a 'groupie'. It is well documented, like in basketball, we all know how it went for Magic Johnson during his ran as a Lakers even getting HIV in the process. Even Kobe Bryant (RIP) has his fair share of this 'culture' early on his career.

Perhaps just such a lifestyle, ''sex and rock''  Cheesy, is the main reason why Nick has stalled in his tennis development?
It's obvious that he doesn't have the dedication to tennis that the top champions show, Federer, Nadal or Djokovic.
It's nice to have fun with young girls and sleep with them, but it's a great pity that you don't have the "focus" and commitment to tennis, because of it.
Too bad, probably the great career that was ahead of him, will never materialize.

I don’t know about you’ll but in my personal opinion this seemed more like a desperate statement from someone who’s famous, but is failing to get the attention he so desperately craves for especially from females. Furthermore his desperation seems evident when he describes what kind of females he craves for, hence I don’t believe any of his claims as they seem fabricated to me.

4282  Other / Politics & Society / You Ain’t Black - This statement is going to hurt Biden a lot. on: May 24, 2020, 07:51:14 AM
Joe Biden the nominee of the Democratic party has made an epic blunder while speaking on a popular show, where he sensationally claimed that people who’re black are not black if they vote for Trump in the upcoming presidential elections. This remark by him was swiftly picked by Trumps election campaign team, and they even created a website for it (link below). Furthermore that’s the not the end of it now Trumps team is planning to spend one million in advertisements to highlight this statement, and in my personal opinion this statement will definitely hurt Biden in the long run.

Quote

“I tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” he said.

Quote

Politico reported that Trump’s campaign is planning on spending $1 million on an ad blitz to capitalize on the remark, with a video montage highlighting the comment, as well as an ad focusing on Biden’s support for the 1994 crime bill, which it will say “destroyed millions of black lives.”

4283  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Big Short movie, BTC edition? on: May 24, 2020, 04:46:55 AM
USDT was crticized in this forum because it does not have the 100% backing of real USD. According to Bitfinex, the tethers are backed 100% again. However, how are we certain?

Bitfinex also has pending inquiries on the New York State attorney general's office.

Whether or not USDT is fully-backed has long been a point of contention. The company has promised an audit of its stablecoin reserves (though it has not delivered one, and has since dissolved its relationship with its auditor), produced a third-party report saying it likely had more funds than outstanding tokens, and had a bank write a letter vouching for its holdings. (The latter two reports both acted as snapshots, only assuring the crypto community that on specific days, Tether’s obligations did not exceed its assets.)

Source https://www.coindesk.com/tether-says-its-stablecoin-is-fully-backed-again

Also, 70% of the total bitcoin trading in the cryptospace is made in USDT. This is an old source, however, I reckon the % might be close to similar at this moment.

In August, BTC trading into USDT represented 71.23% of total volume (traded into fiat or stablecoin).

Source https://www.cryptocompare.com/media/35651527/cryptocompare_exchange_review_2019_08.pdf

Are we sitting on a timebomb similar to the movie The Big Short?

Dr. Burry, The Big Short

Tether FUD? What is this, 2017? Roll Eyes

Until I see an FBI logo across Bitfinex and Tether's websites and a press release about billions of dollars seized from their bank accounts, I'm not concerned. I don't even care whether USDT is fully backed. The market doesn't care either as long as withdrawals are operational.

Someday I'm sure the music will stop but Bitfinex and Tether have been a "ticking timebomb" for several years already. Timing their downfall is impossible and to be frank, the US government looks powerless to stop them.

@bbc.reporter Tether has already admitted that their stable coins is not fully backed by dollars, and despite this revelation people have yet not stopped purchasing it which makes me wonder are they willingly allowing themselves to be scammed?.

@exstasie you’re absolutely correct as no one really knows when their scam will be officially busted, but till then we should act smart and avoid purchasing Tether.

Quote

Now Tether Limited seems to be admitting that at least some of those allegations are and/or were true. Tether used to claim it had bank accounts holding actual U.S. dollars equal to the number of Tether coins in circulation. Now, it says that it has . . . stuff . . . worth the equivalent of the $7.3 billion face value of Tether coins currently in circulation. But it doesn’t say exactly what that stuff is, and nobody but Tether Limited is determining that stuff’s value. Instead of continuing to promise a formal audit, the Tether site now simply states that “The value of our reserves is published daily.”

Gambling on freebitco.in is quite easy and interesting. My only discouraging factor is that I don't have much money to stake higher

Well, don't we all Cheesy

@Oniohakk isn’t this the case on all the websites that you’re gambling on, but the only difference between freebitco and others is that you can earn free money out here, and then use it to gamble without touching your existing funds.

Furthermore is anyone gambling on the Bundesliga league or no because last time I had checked odds were not there, and now I can see 2 matches odds but yet I can’t find the odd for the upcoming match between Dortmund vs Bayern Munich any idea when it’ll be updated?.

But also a cost cap is planed.

The cost cap is a joke!
It's coming later for sure but teams like Mercedes and Ferrari and Redbull pre-COVID spent a lot of money on building a lot of infrastructures to get an advantage later.

Also, Mercedes decided to make a team on Formula E where there is no cap budget limit only to spend what they want for the progress of the hybrid part.

So basically you can't spend more than X on the formula 1 car, but you can spend more in others car categories to get more power on the F1 car.

No reason for a cost cap.
If other teams had money to invest then go for it. But they do not have any right to stop Mercedes and Ferrari from building good cars that can give us entertainment because it is entertaining to see fast cars on track.

@coinlocket$ the budget cap has been agreed and it’s been set at $145 million for 2021, and it’ll further reduce in 2020 to $140 million and @Naida_BR yea this will definitely have a big impact on the big teams. Lastly there’s an update regarding the British GP as F1 officials are trying their best to stage the race, but they may call it off if the UK government doesn’t give them exemptions that they have sought.

Quote

Formula One’s 10 teams have agreed cost-cutting measures including a budget cap of $145 million for 2021, the BBC reported on Friday.

Quote

Formula One chiefs have confirmed the British GP will be OFF – unless the Government changes new quarantine rules or they get an exemption.

4286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Omisego listing on Coinbase has raised the possibility of insider trading on: May 23, 2020, 10:05:03 AM
Omisego an Alt coin which was listed on Coinbase immediately experienced a huge pump in it’s prices, and within 15 minutes it took a steep fall too which has led many people to accuse coinbase of indulging in insider trading. It’s also worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Coinbase has been accused of insider trading, but in the past those allegations were never proved. However what do you’ll think are they really guilty of insider trading, or this pump and dump move was just a coincidence?.

Quote

Controversy has returned to cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase after an altcoin it listed surged 200% in 15 minutes — only to crash immediately afterward.

Quote

Perhaps most notorious was Coinbase’s support of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which began climbing in price even before any public announcement of the exchange supporting it. This in turn led to accusations of insider trading, and even an investigation by Coinbase itself, which ultimately found no evidence of foul play.

4287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 23, 2020, 07:21:30 AM
Hertha BSC saw out the match comfortably, scoring 4 goals and conceding none, this puts them in a comfortable position, and Union Berlin now risk dropping closer to the relegation zone depending on fixtures elsewhere.

There are a couple of top of the table clashes to look forward to tomorrow;
Mönchengladbach hosts Leverkusen and Dortmund would be visiting Wolfsburg. I anticipate lots of goals in tomorrow's fixtures.

Damn , i dont have expected that Union Berlin will get so hard under the wheels.
The second half was realy terrible from Union and Hertha Berlin has played there game realy well .
2 fast goals straight after the break and the defense from Union was everytime looking realy bad .
Lets hope tomorrow my bets will be more right.

@Upgrade00 I’m expecting Dortmund to win again, but I’m also fully aware that Wolfsburg will give them a tough time so in the end I’m hoping that we get to see a classic entertaining match from these two sides.

@Lafu you should have placed your bet on Hertha as they were the superior side, but then again that’s the beauty of this league it’s very unpredictable and I hope that today you win all your bets.

We just added a bunch of new slot games which are available to play now Smiley

Here is a list of the new slots that were most recently added to the site! Let us know which is your favorite!

@BoXXoB thanks for the providing the update, and @dogedice all the games are looking amazing but choosing a single one is difficult so I’m picking two as my favourites i.e. 1) Naughty Santa 🎅 and 2) Knockout 🥅.

Let me counting the total newly integrated games, 35 games in total. That is huge in my opinion. Such huge new games take my time to play and get my own experience, maybe take days, before I can say which games are the most attractive ones from my point of view.

Bitdice.me has done good works to attract new users in the hot period of gaming industry.

@hd49728 team Bitdice has always been working in the background for us, and this is just the start stay tuned there’s more to come from them.

Well that is still a month away. How much training do they need.

I bet they are all match hungry. Footballers are competitive.

Well you would think so, but several have already said they won't be playing or training as they fear for their health. Watford's Troy Deeney and Chelsea's Kante have refused to train. I don't know whether that would extend to games. Watford need all the help they can get so if he doesn't play it's not going to help their relegation battle. I'm sure there will be many more that don't end up playing as time goes on.

Dani Ceballos, a Real Madrid player on loan at Arsenal, seems to have accidentally revealed a big secret when the Premiership begins.
According to him, the Premiership continues on June 20.
The Sun newspaper writes that now Ceballos has created a big problem because that information was supposed to remain secret  Grin

Already posted it above. Not sure it's been confirmed yet though. I would be surprised if the players have been given a date and the media not told about it.

@hilariousetc while I’m excited for the return of my favourite league, I yet won’t judge the players for refusing to play because after all they too are humans who’re scared for their lives. Furthermore it’s quite possible that this maybe the official date, but I don’t understand why was the media kept in the dark about this date, and will the league fine Ceballos for leaking the date before they officially announced it?.

LaLiga Santander to return on June 12 with Sevilla vs Real Betis!
This decision has yet to be confirmed by Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Spanish government.

One more major league in the Europe will officially begin the finish the season. La Liga has only 11 matches to go. In normal seasons, it is nothing to say but in the pandemic, it is a challenge definitely. Anyway, we will start since the June 12 and let's count down from 1 to 11.

Overally, so far we already have Bundesliga, and La Liga (if no sudden thing happens). The rest two major leagues, Premier League and Serie A have still been under consideration but they have move onwards to those league resumes. I guess we will have better news next one or 2 weeks (maybe only one more week).

@Daniel91 thanks for sharing this announcement here, and I’m so glad that La Liga is coming back and I hope you’ll remember that Barcelona is leading only by 2 points, which means that Real Madrid have a golden chance to win the La Liga title this season if they perform consistently.

Also it’s pertinent to note that Zidane's fate is hanging in the balance, because if he looses the La Liga title and also fails to win the champions league then he’ll be sacked by Real Madrid, therefore I’m expecting him to be under tremendous pressure when the league resumes again.

4291  Economy / Speculation / Re: A shorting paradise: next target is 5.5k on: May 22, 2020, 10:11:31 AM
Analysis made with traditional Elliott wave theory, we failed again to break 10.5k, worst news (for bulls) is we didn't even get close and this time got rejected at 10.1k which creates another lower high compared to February 2020.

Now the downtrend is still intact, despite the recent attempt to break a big resistance (descending triangle). We can safely say the bulls are now either selling or placed in the recovery position, praying it is just a bad dream...

Therefore 5.5k looks obvious, with a safe estimate date to be achieved around July-August this year.

5.5k is a quite conservative target I believe. The most ambitious traders will aim at 3.5k (lower low compared to March 2020). And because it needs to be done, Stop Loss set @ 10.8k  Tongue

At the time of this topic, Bitcoin is trading around 8.95k, it is very possible we see a bounce back to 9.4k, it shouldn't bounce higher than that, in any case a bounce shorter than 9.8k will confirm the downtrend.

Best of luck everyone  Kiss

@Bossian you’re wrong as bitcoin prices was not rejected at $10k levels, bitcoin prices only crashed because of the news that Satoshi was back and he had sold his coins from his old wallet (which isn’t true/unconfirmed for now). However I’m optimistic that bitcoin prices will soon rally upwards till $9.5k levels, and then it’ll try and breach the $10k mark again, but if bitcoins fail to breach those levels then it’s quiet possible that we may see your prediction come true.

4292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 22, 2020, 07:40:02 AM
I do not really see a reason to really continue

There is a valid reason called Money.
Football is not only the 22 people on the pitch for the game.
Football in Italy is the 3rd sector for working, with over 100.000 people working on it, from doctors, coaches, warehouse workers, gardeners...
Football money net is 6.000.000.000 € in Italy with over 1 billion taxes, that is why they want to start again.

Those are the active cases right now in Europe and as you can see Italy is not so bad now, the curve is going down quite quickly.
The hope is that the virus will not spread again ofcouse.

Source: https://www.rainews.it/ran24/speciali/2020/covid19/europe.php

The virus is much under control Italy has opened up everything in Europe People are back in their workplaces but everyone is moving consciously. With the virus under control, Italian football teams are set to resume and every player is already joining the game In that case I don't see any way to stop it It has gained legitimacy and the players are preparing for the next match.

@coinlocket$ you’re absolutely correct as money was the key factor why their government gave them the permission in the first place, and in my personal opinion I too feel that they’re correct to resume the league otherwise many will loose their jobs and that’ll not be good for their country’s economy. @Negotiation indeed the efforts of the Italian government have been rewarded, and now I’m eagerly looking forward for the Italian league to start again.

Hyderabad is not completely free from the pandemic, but it seems to be one of the better options right now. Tier 3 cities such as Goa and Trivandrum lack multiple stadiums, where dozens of matches can be played on a continuous basis. However, from the article posted by Huanebu, it looks as if BCCI wants the ICC to cancel the T20 World Cup. So what is the conclusion? Both these tournaments can't go ahead this year? Zero chance?

If there is an option for me i would rather want to see the T20 World Cup than the IPL and as you said, Goa and Kerala does not have multiple international stadiums, but they have stadiums Wink.

The World Cup was scheduled in Australia and the virus situation is under control and considering that if the countries that are participating in the world cup can take measures by testing the players then the problem can be sorted out considering England is planning to resume cricket, it is a realistic possibility that T20 can be conducted without audience.

@eaLity if it comes down to a vote I hope that all the countries will vote for scheduling the T20 World Cup, instead of opting to send their players to play in IPL. Furthermore it’s an open secret that BCCI is doing all they can to postpone the T20 World Cup, and in it’s place schedule the IPL and they may even succeed if conditions suddenly improve in India and at the same time number of cases rise in Australia.

I just wish Real Madrid never wasted their money on Hazard and Jovic, and instead prepared ti buy Mbappe and Haaland. I know one of the deals might go through, but Real Madrid might not be able to land on both players thou It would be a  nice dream to get both of them. If i was to choose between the 2, I would choose Mbappe.

As a Barca supporter I always hope to see Real splash more and waste more. I know they get good players, but usually overpriced IMO (and yes we've done the same thing too) but I can't wait to see them run themselves into the ground with expenses. I actually do hope you get Mbappe and Haaland AND overpay for both;)

@JeromeTash I’m not sure about Jovic but if Madrid can get Hazard back in shape, and keep him fit then he’ll be a nightmare for all the defenders. @slaman29 I don’t think RM is buying Mbappe or Haaland in this summer transfer window, because they’re only keen to buy Pogba, however the big question remains will Manchester United agree to sell him?.

Quote

Real Madrid will prioritise signing Paul Pogba ahead of Erling Haaland, according to AS.

Dortmund sensation Haaland remains an option in the future, however, and the speculate the Norwegian will become a priority in the summer of 2022.

AS also suggest that United will go in for Jadon Sancho with the money in their pocket from the sale of Pogba, who has also been linked with a return to Juventus.

4295  Other / Politics & Society / Trump to lose popular vote and the elections - Election Model predicts. on: May 21, 2020, 01:50:55 PM
As Trump is busy battling the virus he has another big headache to deal with as his vote bank of employed people is shifting away from him, and due to this a new election model has predicted that he’ll loose the upcoming elections.

I know many of you will ask why we should trust the findings of this election model, then the answer is simple it’s because of their past record where they have correctly predicted the election results.

Lastly in my personal opinion it’ll be a tight race, but I’m not giving up on him as I yet feel that he’ll be able to pull off a victory, but what about you’ll do you yet believe in him or no?.

Quote

As a result of the economy suffering from the coronavirus pandemic, a new election model forecasts President Donald Trump will lose the popular vote in November.

"An unemployment rate above its global financial crisis peak, household income nearly 6% below its pre-virus levels, and transitory deflation will make the economy a nearly insurmountable obstacle for Trump come November," Oxford Economics said on Wednesday, based on the firm’s state-based and national election models.

Before the coronavirus, Oxford Economics, which has a strong track record of predicting presidential elections, had forecast last fall that Trump would win 55 percent of the popular vote. In April, as the coronavirus spread in the U.S., according to The Washington Post, it predicted that Trump would take only 43 percent of the popular vote in the 2020 presidential election.

In it’s last meeting held on April 28th Fed officials unanimously agreed that US economy will never be the same if a second wave of covid19 virus attack took place, and they also pledged to do all they can to keep the economy stable during such uncertain times.

Furthermore what worries me is the massive wave of unemployment that the Fed believes will come if things don’t get better soon, and if the unemployment wave strikes US now then in my personal opinion US citizens will witness a repeat of the dark days they saw in 2008.

What do you’ll think of Fed’s concern?, and how many of you’ll believe that we will witness those dark days of 2008 again?.

Shortening the rest matches in Champions League and Europa league like you said looks a good solution. But how they can decide which stadiums for those matches? Home stadiums are always big advantage and I don't know how it looks like if they decide to make a dice, roll, something like that to choose which stadiums will hold those matches. It is weird and unfair for related clubs.

There will be serious losses for UEFA this season but it will still be good for them if they can finish the season. At least they will have some sort of income and is a good foundation for next season during the weird pandemic time.
As it was announced previously, UEFA will use neutral stadium for playoff  games, IIRC it will be Istanbul. It will be short few weeks tournament, something similar to World Cup. I think it's best possible scenario in current situation.

@tbct_mt2 I don’t think they’ll shorten the matches because the whole point of resuming champions league was to make sure that they don’t suffer financial looses, hence we can definitely rule out the option of seeing a shortened version of the champions league.

@LTU_btc you’re correct but I feel that only Lyon and PSG will be playing their remaining matches at a neutral venue, unless they can convince the France government to give them the permission to play at home.

"Paris St Germain and Lyon... will have to organise (matches) in France," Ceferin added. "If this is not possible, (they) will have to organise it at a neutral ground.

Have you guys ever considered to actually have like a competition thing going on as well? I mean you guys are sharing the leaderboard that amounts to basically nothing, those people are not getting anything in return of their gambling at all. I am not saying there should be one everyone week or anything like that, but I feel like there should be one time to time.

If we know the names of the people this well (hdf, darkstar etc) that means they have been around for a while and they deserve to actually get something for gambling so much. At the end of the day it is a request for myself as well, I love watching them gamble this way and check the leaderboard, think about how awesome that leaderboard will be if there was something to win at the end of the week, they would gamble a lot more for sure.

You got the point but it isnt really that bad nor irrelevant on posting up the leaderboard even though theres no current competition or contest but soon when this site gets some upgrade which would be on this year then theres no doubt that they would really consider on launching up events and promotions but for now theres nothing we can do but to wait.At least it do shows that there are still lots of big wagerers of this site and this had
been operating for years already so that basically means that they are doing just fine.

@fullhdpixel I totally understand your situation and I can assure you that your wish will be granted very soon, as @BoXXoB has already clarified on multiple occasions that team Bitdice will announce new competitions once the new site is up. Furthermore he’s even given a hint that this time round Bitdice will have competitions in different currencies too, so now is a good time to collect those coins, and then when the competitions are announced you can challenge the whales for the top spot.

Yeah not much hype around the competition right now. With new website that we're working on, we'll be changing that Smiley

We are planning on adding weekly competitions. Most likely separate weekly prizes for each currency.

4299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 20, 2020, 03:09:43 PM
I know many of you’ll will be pissed at the title, but before you vent your ire just have a look at the tweet and then decide for yourself. According to the tweet the wallet was dormant since 2009, but suddenly today bitcoins stored in the wallet have been moved so can anyone study this and confirm if it’s actually satoshis wallet, or this is another fud attempt and we should not pay any attention to it?.

4300  Other / Politics & Society / Trumps threatens to pull out of WHO starts a new debate at home and abroad!!! on: May 19, 2020, 06:09:16 PM
I’m sure that by now you’ll may have already read about Trump’s letter to WHO where he has threatened to pull US out from WHO, which in layman terms mean that he’ll stop their funding, and this letters contents has upset many Democrats and other global political leaders.

Furthermore I’m not expecting him to pull out from WHO, and I believe this to be another political move to attack China as we all saw how the WHO sided with China ever since the Covid19 began.

However if we were to assume a hypothetical scenario where he actually walks the talk and quits WHO, do you’ll think that it could have a negative effect on his votes share?, as Democratic Party will raise this topic that he walked away from WHO when Covid19 was at it’s peak, or the voters won’t care at all about this?.
