Kawawa talaga ang Nets dito, I mean sinugal nila lahat nung kunin nila is Durant at pagtapos ni Irving, then si Harden.

4282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 25, 2022, 12:21:52 PM

I think Ginebra vs Meralco will be the toughest series at all games that are currently playing in the quarterfinals. These teams are forming a new rivalry and are unfortunate to see that they meet right away in the quarterfinals. Should be great if they meet at semis but no way it will happen now.
This should be a great match up and probably an opportunity for Meralco to beat Ginebra but of course this will not an easy game for them as we all know, Ginebra is still a good team and they always like a contender for the title here. Meralco should think for a better strategy, and focus more because this will be one of their hardest games in order for them to reach the top. This is a good rivalry, and the fans really like this one.

Right, so far though Ginebra still has a good chance to avert an elimination next game. Of course, this has been rivalry already and definitely wanting to get this series even in the next game.

And as what LA said, (who unfortunately, goes scoreless), it was mainly their defense. So I'm expecting that they are going to be more physical in the next game. They will have a good rest before game 2 and make the adjustment.
4283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 25, 2022, 10:58:41 AM

Let's skip for now the discussion about the issue of being "delayed" on any information or updates regarding this fight.

What's your input and feedback guys about Danny Garcia's recent statement that Errol Spence Jr. is too strong for Terence Crawford. When we say "too strong" it means he views the fight as a landslide victory in favor of Spence. I respect his view and even though I'm looking forward to Spence winning at this mega-bout, saying Spence is too much for Crawford is like underestimating the latter.

Errol Spence "too strong" for Terence Crawford says Danny Garcia

I guess if there is one boxer that we can take his opinion, that is Shawn Porter Jr. He has fought both fighters in their prime. And mind you, Porter beat Danny Garcia so we all know what level Danny Garcia is, hehehe.

In any case, if you seen Spence in his last fight against Ugas, yeah he is really strong, he even talks about moving up in 154 lbs wherein I think Crawford can't make that weight without sacrificing anything (speed, height, power). I guess it goes down as to who has the better IQ and good chin in this fight.  Smiley
4284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 25, 2022, 10:24:07 AM
^^ I was surprised though about the picks that they are willing just to get Durant.

For me it doesn't make sense to have the many, it's going to be a big risk for the Celtics. Their team is already solid behind Tatum, they have reach the finals already, now they have the experience already. And it's going to be close to suicide if the trade bait is Brown and then those picks, doesn't make sense.
4285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 25, 2022, 10:00:42 AM
@Baofeng @TimeTeller
But that was my whole point, we can't know. It would be enough to know it would help alleviate suffering but state to state assistance like this, unclear it's not to finance the war. My personal belief is you're really not helping the people who need it most when you're helping either side in the conflict itself.

It's not as simple as all that really, and again, pretty irrelevant to Bitcoin.

But still two folds though, whether it will aid Ukraine and help those citizens or buy weapons I guess it's their call.

Maybe we have our own beliefs regarding this war, but we all agree that it didn't do any good overall. Not just for both nations, but we are all affected by it. I guess the relevancy for bitcoin is that it shows how it can be used, for "good" or "bad".

4287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TIME's new cover: The metaverse will change everything!!! on: July 24, 2022, 06:14:59 PM
Yeah, I don't think it will change everything though, but good to see that it was in the cover of Time.

But we all know that everything in crypto is based on hype, what if the metaverse hype is gone and a new 'tech' comes along? So right now I'm on the fence about it, I will not totally get myself 100% on metaverse. Perhaps nice to haves for crypto enthusiast but that's it, at least in my case.
4288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin declared ‘dead’ 52% less in 2022 despite bear market vibes on: July 24, 2022, 01:12:10 PM
I think if we look at the current state of the financial markets of the world (in war time) ...then most markets are down. People are not investing their money into so-called "high risk" speculative assets, but rather pushing it into traditional safe havens. (Gold/Silver/Government Bonds)

To be fair.... nobody really expected Bitcoin to do very well under these circumstances, so let's lower our expectations and rather look at Bitcoin as a "Long-term" safe haven, with potential for huge profits when it recovers.  Grin

I think you missed the point, it has been declared 52% less this bear market as compare to previous bear market. And it should be worst right? we have the war in the background and yet this numbers?

Of course bitcoin is good for long term investment no question about that. And 67% down from our last all time high? there is something against those perma bears or those haters of bitcoin in this bear market. Maybe the attacks is not there anymore and so we haven't heard more about the argument of bitcoin being dead many times in this bear market.
4289  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 24, 2022, 12:08:50 PM

4290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 24, 2022, 11:37:36 AM
Wow James Harden did it. He declined the 47 million dollars option in his existed contract and made a new one for 33 million dollars. Only to give Philadelphia 76ers room to get better players. I've written it before but once it is almost official, I still can't believe it. This is so cool! I don't remember anyone who does that before 35 years old. And for the 2023 - 2024 season he has an option for 35 million. Especially after this development, I really wish 76ers can get some good players and have a solid team and get to at least conference finals this season. With Embid and Harden, they have a very good core. Just need some role players that they can depend on. It seems like they will be the team I will be rooting for this season? Yes, almost there.

I don't think many basketball players would accept a salary cut to benefit their team. The sacrifice he made is really nice, I hope it will be of use to the team. Harden is still one of the best players in the league, and in fact, by refusing that money, he will probably stay a star player for a few more seasons.
He had enough problems last season already and we thought he was going to play in Philadelphia Smiley

I guess you can call it sacrifice, and this is not the first time that we have heard players accepting pay cut for reasons, others want to stay in the league, or players that just come from injuries like Victor Oladipo when he move to Miami.

So genuine reason or not for Harden, we shall see if his gamble have paid off or after this season and it didn't went well with him then maybe he will exercise his option the next year.
4291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 24, 2022, 10:44:07 AM
Not be the same of course, being in a signature campaign, you have the incentives and it require for you to post in this board. There might be few topics created, and or discussions. But it will not be like we have right now that everyone has his and her thoughts from sports betting to casino slot games. In essence, it brings everyone into this board,  Grin
It has actually done more harm than good since there are people abusing the signature campaigns and don't actually gamble or have any interest in crypto gambling. Some of the comments I read while surfing are absolutely insane and you can feel they are made with no real intent but they ain't spam either so you don't want to report.

Well if I found post that are abusive or somewhat out of line just because they want to post in this board as it is require by their current signature campaign then probably it's better to report them to the campaign manager themselves.

You might not be successful, but at least give the chance for the campaign manager to look at his participants. But for those who are hard core and somewhat casual players, those campaign really open some of them.
4292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: July 24, 2022, 10:05:53 AM
What do you think about stablecoins, some scandals around them and their future? It is interesting to hear the opinion of the members of bitcointalk

Investment stand point of view? No, stable coins are not designed like that. They were designed to be like that, stable, help your crypto to stay 1:1 to USD simple as that. So if you want to let's say the market is going down and you have your investment to be not affected, then obviously, you need something as an hedge and that is stable coins. It's just a matter what stable coins you used, right now there are a lot, but before it used to be just USDT. But still the concept hasn't change, and os it benefit us in a big way.
4293  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Online Casino Directory: newcasinos.io on: July 24, 2022, 09:45:49 AM
I thought the first time saw the link, that newcasinos.io is a gambling site, but it turned out only a review list. but without a clear source of the audience, it will raise doubts for customers.

Unfortunately, I had to open this site with Tor because it was blocked by my internet provider.
not all websites especially gambling can be opened with TOR, that's why many providers pay more just to make a .onion link

I used a desktop, Clear net, Opera version Version:89.0.4447.48 (x86_64)

However, when I go down, I see some broken images?

I got also on my side, I used chrome, seems like his server does not have enough ram and cpu, Maybe he pay some cheap (or free) VPS

Thanks, I thought that I'm just the only one who experienced this slight issue with their website. Someone also reported it as well. And as I try it right now, still the same, the images are not loading.

In any case, I'm familiar with bc.game and 24.casino only.

And for the top casino slots, Money Train and Reactoonz are games that I played.
4294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 24, 2022, 09:16:34 AM
Shakur is really huge favorited and it makes me to bet him is really unprofitable, I think I wouldn't bet and only watch the fight.

Honestly I don't know why Shakur want to fight against Conceicao because he already enough power to beat other champions e.g. Joe Cordina and Roger Gutiérrez, so he will become undisputed champion on super featherweight division. I'm expecting a KO from Shakur on the late round 9 or above.

I also tend to agree Conceicao won that fight against Oscar Valdez, but in this fight he would completely lost against Shakur.

His probably targeting both champions later, this is just another step for him, different kind of style and see how he will adapt on Conceicao. I think if he gets over Conceicao just like how he dispose Valdez, both Cordina and Gutierrez will be an easy fight for him.

Stevenson - 1.05
Conceicao - 9.60

The odds are very small for Shakur and I am also sure odds for the rounds will be over 10.5 rounds and very small too. If this was an ICO, it would be one of those scam pump and dumps that have been forgotten after the first pump hehehe.

I don't think there will be much difference or change in the odds. Stevenson is taking over this division and as I have said, unification this might will happen. Perhaps just a question on how much money is involved against Cordina and Gutierrez.

Edit: I also added a poll.

Regarding the AB press conference and how he bad mouth Showtime and Al Haymon, he has somewhat back track everything,

https://www.instagram.com/p/CgONGslM5x8/

Quote
Listen man I was just frustrated with a lot of shit that's going on in my life me and @showtimeboxing and Al Haymon have no problems what so ever

He seems to know who is his friends is and who he should attack, Showtime and PBC has been helping him since then, he shouldn't bad mouth those two companies and he knows that it might back fire on him in the future that's why he has to make this apology.
4296  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Maya Bank - Now Accepting Bitcoin on: July 24, 2022, 07:56:25 AM

4297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 23, 2022, 11:59:00 PM
Selling pressures from them? hehehe

All for helping, but cannot say for sure what this aid wi be for precisely. Not going to read too deep either but when I see it's "for the war", then that uncertainty is even more.

Even if it were a good cause, not for arms or violence etc., how this is good for Bitcoin, hard for me to see really ha.

Maybe, people will appreciate that seized bitcoins are going to help somebody's country which is still at war.
At least, the bitcoins coming from illegal means can be used to assist Ukraine at this time of crisis.
Not in the pockets of politicians for the country that badly needs financial assistance.
Wherever they will use it, so long it can help alleviate the suffering of its people, that's more enough to know.

Yeah perhaps they don't know what to do with this seized bitcoin, and someone come up of the idea of why not sold it for Ukraine? Win-win for them, the world will look at Finland and says good job, and then bitcoin being exposed again. Hopefully it will not used to buy weaponry, just the essentials, like food supply for those trap inside the war zone.
4298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: July 23, 2022, 11:12:23 PM
Hopefully Jerwin can stop the bleeding for us, if I'm my memory serves me right, his fight started the long stretches this year, losing all our Filipino champions hehehe.

He was one of the best champion, he had that belt for 8 years, since 2014, and then suddenly he lost as a favorite against Fernando Martinez. I just imagine if Ancajas won in the first fight, he could have fought Kazuto Ioka.

So let's see, hopefully Ancajas can regain his form in this rematch.
4299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 23, 2022, 10:47:51 PM
It was reported that Stevenson's next opponent will be Robson Conceicao and the fight will be held at Shakur's home town of Newark, N.J.

This would be a battle of former Olympic medalists, silver for Shakur while gold for Robson if I'm not mistaken.

Just wonder why this fight is going to be held in New Jersey and not in Las Vegas where gamblers could see live the unified champion, Shakur Stevenson. Maybe Bob Arum has something to do with this as I read an article after Shakur won against Valdez that Arum is not too fond of Shakur being a defensive fighter and can't draw a massive crowd which I believe might be the reason why this fight is to be held in Shakur's hometown.

Perhaps the sticking point is that Shakur will show his talent on his hometown? But I somewhat agree with Bob's observation, Shakur style as we all known is very frown by casual fans except for those hardcore and his fans. So maybe him making the fight in Shakur hometown will draw some fans into the gate and then later Bob Arum can spin it around down the line saying Shakur is the A-side because he bring fans to buy tickets for his fight. Clever move and a win-win for Shakur image and Top Rank.
4300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2022, 10:42:05 AM
Regarding the much anticipated fight between Davis and Ryan Garcia, Tank said or at least his promotion, Floyd Mayweather that he is not going to fight Ryan at 135 lbs. So Ryan needs to go down to 135 lbs since his last 2 fights where in the limit of 140 lbs. For sure he can still make this weight and schedule the fight this December or early next year so that we will see who is the best in the 135 lbs and then Garcia can move on to 140 lbs if he wanted to.

Going down in weight is very much easy for Garcia, I think he can make it.

The problem is with the network, both are in the two opposing, DAZN and Showtime, and according to Oscar they could make the fight happen if both of this two network are willing. But it seems that for now Showtime doesn't like the idea or maybe even DAZN. So we will see how Oscar and Floyd are going to work this one out for the fans.
