4301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Am Emotional after seeing this Rally on: November 24, 2020, 11:08:22 PM
What kind of emotion is it? Sometimes, something with much emotion will not be good at all because it may drive us to be more emotional again. then, it will lead us to now think about something realistically. I really understand how BTC really struggles and works and how investors have been suffering after several years since its last time bullish in 2017. But, never put your emotion in the first stage because it may hurt you. It is better to say calm and still on the track. Considering how the market will be after this. never be greedy and also panic to face this market. It is very important to learn about this based on the previous lesson in 2017.

..snip..

4303  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effect of US regulation to crypto all over the world? on: November 21, 2020, 09:55:01 PM
First, it is about power, the US still has a big power to make any influence on the other countries in this world.
Then, about the regulation, each country actually can make their own decision to legalize or not legalize cryptocurrency in their country. but how if a big country states that they will ban crypto? of course, it may give influence to some countries to follow what the big country did.

And about the new regulation to be planned, I am not sure it will work. It may be another drama? Who knows. Let's see what will happen for the next part of this news. I don't think this regulation will be applied fluently.
4304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between BTC/USDT and BTC/USD on: November 21, 2020, 09:45:07 PM
These may be the answers:
Quote
Main takeaways
Trading volume is much higher on Tether than on fiat USD and this holds true over time.
BTC/USDT markets are far less concentrated than BTC/USD markets.
BTC-USDT and BTC-USD closing prices (cross exchanges) closely mirror each other with very small tracking errors.
BTC-USDT and BTC-USD daily returns display different volatility regimes over time.
Intraday extremes between BTC-USDT and BTC-USD show higher dispersion than the usual close to close measure.
Taken from Tether vs. USD, is a Dollar a Dollar when it comes to trading?

I also ever traded in Chatex, and see what is the difference, pairing with USD and USDT is very different. We can get a higher price when paired with USDT and a lower price in USD. I don't know why but this happens when I was trading there. probably because they are converted directly to the US Dollar currency?

4305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season probably won't happen like the past? on: November 21, 2020, 09:38:42 PM
Is there a possibility that only bitcoin will remain bullish this year? Can altcoin season be left out? The reason why I'm asking is some are already doubting, what if only very few altcoins grows higher in value and things failed to go the same way as that of 2017? What's your answer?
Bitcoin is now in the way of bullish again to reach its ATH (although probably not this year). And some altcoins are following the positive trend of BTC, having good significance in increasing their price. However, let's see on the market, they are increasing, but some are not. The uptrend of the altcoin season is now still beginning, it may start not to know it is for a while increase or will continue again following the BTC.

But to be the same as what bullish in 2017, it still needs time, mate. It may not be as easy as in the past for the altcoins to have its bullrun again and its season again.

More than 90% of altcoins are junk anyway, and we'd be better off without them. I don't think about whether or not any of them will fail. Those that are worth are going to live, and that's what's crucial.

By the way, where did you find the data? I am curious about this.
4306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are So Many Altcoins Worthless After a Little Time on: November 21, 2020, 09:31:15 PM
It is because there are many new projects that only exist because of hype, they created projects based on hype and after that, the team leaves the project and don't concern again about how their coins are, whether they are listed or not yet.

It is always like this. Some altcoins are worthless, which means the shitcoins, we just see it like something trash that I really want to throw from my basket.
But, you know, some altcoins are also big deals with great increase. Currently, some of them experience their season, increasing by more than 20% every day of their price. having also followed BTC bullrun. We can see the data on the market tracker,. they are growing.

However, about shitcoins itself, it is sure for us to be more and more carefully before investing, whether the coins are really worthy or not. Better to stay awya form that
4307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millionaires FOMO: 73% Will Own Bitcoin by 2022, Survey on: November 21, 2020, 09:25:12 PM
According to the OP, its more than 700 participants that are clients of a financial firm. Its unclear from where, what industry they're involved in, and also how successful they are.
This information is given based on the article:
Quote
Devere Group is a large independent financial advisory firm. The group asked more than 700 of its high net worth clients — those having more than $1 million in investable assets — who currently reside in the U.S., the U.K., Asia, Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, Australasia, and Latin America.
You can find about what kind of industry that Devere Group is on their website https://www.devere-group.com/
This is part of the information about the company:

deVere Group is one of the world's leading independent financial advisory organizations, with more than $10bn under advice from over 80,000 clients in 100 countries.
But Yeah, we cannot see the exact data of the surveyees or the result summary of the surveys. If there is a publication, there may be more convincing. Although it is an anonymous  survey in which we may not be able to see who are the exact surveyees, at least, it should be we can see the summary chart of the data, it may be better
4308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Take Profits in BTC or USDT on: November 21, 2020, 09:02:26 PM
It depends on how you will take the risks, too, and what is the investment for.

- If you are a high-risk taker, you can sell your ETH or other coins into BTC. By means that you have a chance to make higher profits again when BTC is bullish, the way is by holding again BTC after selling that ETH for a certain period, until BTC has its bullish. Then, it will give you high profits. But, you must be also aware that high profits mean requiring high risks. By means that if you convert your ETH or other coins into BTC, you must be ready for any kinds of risks, the volatility, and also probability to the very dropped price, badly to a bearish market. So fro this, better to have also certain analysis about what will be going on in the crypto market, especially the BTC market, if it has a chance to be bullish at a certain time later, converting to BTC is good enough.

- If you want to take a safer investment, just convert your ETH or coins into stable coins as @Myfe said. Converting to stable coins (USDT or your local currency) will make you in safer condition, moreover if you are willing to cash out the funds. Commonly, the stable coins will not drop or rise up significantly, so that the amount may not be far different.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH ideal transaction fee using MEW? on: November 20, 2020, 11:53:11 PM
First, ensure that the fee is excluded from that 50$.
Second, you can always check the gas fee because sometimes it will be changing over time because of the traffic or network at that time.
Check this: https://kb.myetherwallet.com/en/transactions/what-is-nonce/

Then, pay attention also the amount of the least eth in your wallet. You cannot withdraw the funds if the amount of least eth in your wallet is not enough. If your gas fee is about $1.10, it doesn't mean that you only need $1.10. You must have the least amount to be in your wallet.

4310  Economy / Economics / Re: Mexico's billionaire invests in Bitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 11:46:30 PM
Whoever they are, many more rich people invest in Bitcoin means it is good news. I don't know about him, but I thank him for investing more in BTC.
And this may be also good news in that country. Sometimes, people should be influenced and started by a popular person or rich person to follow being attracted to something. And if he really does it and many people know about this, I think it can give a kind of example to others. hopefully, this is one step to make many more richest people invest in BTC.

Yeah, but that's 10% of his "liquid portfolio" portfolio, not of his wealth.
Well, Although it is only 10% of his portfolio, it can be a good starter. Who knows that he may add the percentage by time because it is his first investment in BTC. It may be to ensure that investing in BTC is worth it. And about that amount, I think that the total amount is still much.  Grin

4311  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: November 20, 2020, 11:39:07 PM
Actually, the impact of covid-19 is not that kind of simple. It is not only about the people who lost their jobs. It is not about the people must have power, ability, and also knowledge in order to still earn money. It is not only about stopping them from complaining about the impact of this pandemic. you can say so because you may be able to do more things in your country but you are not on their side.

Let's see, someone loses their job because his company cut many workers. It means that he still has knowledge and ways to work, but he cannot get any job again, not because he doesn't want to try or has another ability, but many companies are also closed and decrease their workers or employees because they also get impact from this pandemic.

So, where should they get jobs again? Build their own business? With what? Did you ever think how hard they make money for eating every day?
Not everyone has the same chance as yours, not everyone in the same situation. many people face harder and harder situations. they are always trying to get jobs and make jobs, but they can't.

4312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player protection - stop loss limit on: November 20, 2020, 11:31:05 PM
So, it is like what's in the exchanges where there is also the availability of stop-loss feature? Something like that?
If it is, it may help gamblers to control their funds and stop losing more funds for gambling. however, if someone does not pay attention to it, in the case of they keep playing and they do not use that user protection of stop-loss, what will happen is that they will lose their money. It may happen to someone who is very addicted to gambling. So playing gambling is their needs without considering how much they have earned and also how much they have to spend on gambling.
4313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not Sure On Whether To Buy Crypto Or Not? on: November 20, 2020, 11:21:43 PM
On the fence about buying crypto? Or about buying MORE crypto? Here’s everything you need to know about why you should buy more. https://www.tap.global/why-you-should-buy-bitcoin
Actually, we have this kind of article so many sources if we are searching.
And if we are still confused or not sure about investing in crypto or not, better not to do that. Because it means that we are not ready for this kind of investment. And once we lost our money here, it will really hurt and will make our mind to think bad of the crypto world. It has been ever happened in some people when they are not ready to invest in crypto and they did it. They hate so much crypto because they lose their money in crypto.

And if you want to tell someone about why to buy crypto, never only tell the reasons, but also tell the risks that they will probably face in the crypto world. So, it means that everyone entering the crypto should know about the profits and also risks to have
4314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Low, Sell High on: November 20, 2020, 11:14:19 PM
Buy low sell high, For a long term investment, it may work.
But how if it is for the short term investment?
I ever apply this way, buy low and need to sell high but in fact, the price goes down and down again and again. More than 7 months and the price is not going up, decreased by more than 70%  Grin

There are some ways of this kind of condition, to do "cut loss". and I late to know about that.

And about the long term investment, it will really work as what we have seen until now, the price of BTC bought in 2018 increased multiple times if sold right now, moreover if it reaches the ATH
4315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25k new Bitcoin addresses in 1 hour on: November 19, 2020, 11:58:49 PM
It depends on what's for the new wallet. Is the person generating the wallet for their contemporary asset by a few people or it is exactly generated by new comer who wants to invest in Bitcoin? Or lets we say if around 40% are coming as new investors of BTC, it will give a positive impact. But if it is only the usual generation for temporary wallets, I think it may not give many effects.
4316  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - Withdraw Disabled, is it scam ? on: November 19, 2020, 11:50:19 PM
Today when i try to withdraw from HitBTC.com i get this error :
Withdrawals are temporarily disabled on your account.
Actually, this may not only happen in HitBTC but also in other exchanges because of some reasons. However, they commonly provide tickets in order to report this condition. And hee you can do it:
https://support.hitbtc.com/en/support/solutions/articles/63000224922--withdrawals-are-temporarily-disabled-on-your-account-

Btw, for the withdrawal issue, what coins did you want to withdraw? All coins or only certain coins? Sometimes, in some exchanges, the withdrawal menu is not available yet because of some reasons. that is why before using an exchange, it is better to search for information about them at first
4317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 500 Altcoins with actual usecases and strong fundamentals on: November 19, 2020, 11:43:08 PM
Maybe we can have a discussion on Altcoins with potential based on their fundamentals and usecases? In other words, shill me your top 500 coin and explain why it will gain investor interest.
If it is about the top 500 coins, better to search at first on the crypto trackers such as CMC or CoinGecko. Although it is considered that there is also some manipulation, at least, we have certain basic data of the coin that we want to know and invest in.

Then, if you are asking people here, I am sure that every head will probably offer different ideas (except the top coin such as Ethereum).

And for me, some coins here are good enough:
- DEAp coin
- DIA
 They are new actually.

So, do your own research further before deciding.
4318  Local / Topik Lainnya / Re: Kesalahan Umum Yang Dapat Menghilangkan Crypto Yang Anda Miliki on: November 19, 2020, 11:29:40 PM
...
- Kehilangan akses wallet (beserta private key-nya). Lupa password, lupa tidak melakukan backup seed/privkey, file back-up hilang
...

4319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: November 19, 2020, 11:12:35 PM
The richest people in the world are commonly those who have their big business for not only ten years, but for tens of years, maybe even hundreds because the wealth may also be part of his inheritance. From the amounts of the years, it also gives influence how the richest people are here (although there are also some cases where they are new rich men in the world, it is small amounts).

Second, it relates to the business and industries that they concern. they may have a business that can include many things that are used by many people in this world and the products are not limited or limited but can be developed so that the business seems like there will be no end.

As what @lionheart78  said:
1. Bitcoin has a limited supply and the majority of its supply had been mined so there is a very slim chance that one person will own half of the coins.
2. Bitcoin price is highly volatile, it can crash anytime or skyrocket anytime thus making good sense investors hesitant of going all in to this cryptocurrency.
3.  Knowledgeable investors always diversify.
I also think so. '

However, can we really determine the richest person in the world doesn't involve in  Bitcoin? Or they only hide it?
4320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know the difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin? on: November 17, 2020, 11:59:44 PM

Actually, I really want to know from what time this term is used? The difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin?
Is it based on the dictionary or others?
Because I saw some posts by Satoshi and he used Bitcoin and also bitcoin in the same situation. Not paying attention to the upper or lower case.

However, if it is about the truth, I think from now I will also change my writing style. So far I commonly use Bitcoin or bitcoin without paying attention to the meaning of each Grin Grin
