It may sound stupid for us who are already in this space long enough, but not for newbies because a 50% discount is typical to celebrate holidays for various goods and services. That said, these scammers are criminals who prevent cryptocurrencies from being widely used by everyday people. There is a strong probability that the victims wouldn't touch crypto anymore, and they could spread negative things about cryptocurrencies. If it's not useful, I don't think even a join project with all coins combined would do any good. They are all just speculation assets at this point. Anyway, I want to see Bitcoin used in casual mobile games like FarmVille, etc., and used directly as in-game currency. But still, even if you use many techniques, then you are still "gambling" since no methods are 100% valid.
Sorry, I think it is not true to assume "life is a gamble". We know that every religion provides a guide to living properly in the world. And all know that the result of our life will be divided into 2 ending, to "heaven or hell". It is a bit different than the fundamental of gambling, so I think it doesn't include the kinds of gambling because of having a clear direction.
