Version 1.1 of the AntRack, has ~36 ants on it. Still not 100% happy with the airflow and cabling, but its getting closer.

36 Ants on a rack, I like it, it is tidy too Smiley

My bday is coming up!
Can I have it? Smiley (for free I mean)

I know it's not even a long-shot (more like a no-shot), but I doesn't hurt trying  Grin Wink

Btw how much did it cost you in total if you remember?
I know Ants get various prices lately.
Got mine for 2.2 now it's 1.45, but I will wait till Feb 08 to order more.

Interesting thread. It looks like he MINES with his MIND, literally. Think about it. Who needs mining equipment if you can imagine it, create a story on forums, collect some BTC as the fruit of your forum labor.

True that!

I understand that ASIC's aren't easy, but these delays seem very fishy to me.Just about every producer has been late,I just don't get it  Roll Eyes

Let's say you are a manufacturer, you took a preorder, you finished the machine, and realistically you can ship whenever the hell you want. Why ship before mining becomes close to a break even proposition?

A few may choose to do so out of a sense of honor, or perhaps concern about being revealed as a fraud. Many will not.
The pool operator (wizkid) claims to know who is behind that address too. My guess is BFL.

I have been following that address for a few weeks now.

It constantly adds around 20TH of power daily. Sometimes it drops though.

Also they have made almost 3 million since Dec 06

Summer is coming, and I can't have the GPU's heating up the house  Wink

Great!
I am happy that you are happy with you investment.

One question: Are you going to make that money back?

4305  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 02, 2014, 03:58:30 PM
Now no, the server is dead but usually yeah, I get crazy speeds of 200GH+ without overclocking.
Plus the merged mining (even tho they don't worth much) is still something extra Wink

Ghash is not a good pool to mine on. Yes they charge 0% fee to make miners to join thinking they are getting a good deal.
Initially they said they charged 0% fee and mined for fun, but in actual fact they kept the merged mining rewards.

Ghash is unstable, it provides much down time

servers changed without warning creating more down time

despite your 0% fee, they don't pay for orphans which generally is above 2% per week ,Orphans for ghash last week = 2.83%

Do the network and yourself a favor and mine else where

So which pool would you recommend and why?

It's funny that MrCaboose11 was online when I posted my first reply and now he is gone.

I am guessing he is having a group meeting with himself as to decide which account to use to defend himself....
4307  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] CoinTerra 2TH/S GroupBuy - last 712 shares available on: February 02, 2014, 01:54:58 PM
lol now he is making up fake buyers to give the impression that someone is falling for this BS.

How many other group buys on here have nameless participants?
How many other group buys have user names that exist nowhere else on the forum?

This guy is a fucking clown and any BTC you give him will be gone forever.

I have been watching both of these GB's for the last week. Yes he may seem like a scammer, but think how you would feel about giving out your details to randoms. He could be hiding his identity because he is a thief or he is hiding to protect him self from hackers wankers and ppl who are wanting to find where he lives to take matters into there own hands.

Im not saying he isnt or is , but Iglasses you have warned ppl about him there is no need to continue to talk the way you are. Because if I was him and and you were comming at me id wait till I got the miner was earning money then refund you but only untill everyone knew I was lagit. So you've said what you've had to people are warned thank you but im sick oh your bitching.

My first post. I was happy reading but I think it has gorn too far.
Thanks for reading.
Minewithmind bring it home bud please make a fool out of him.

Ps I have not spent money here I have just been reading for the last few weeks. These are my thoughts.

First of all I have been following this thread too.

Second, you have made spelling mistakes as you did in previous posts: "lagit"?

Third: Please, signing up for a new account and supporting yourself doesn't really help your situation, it only makes it worse.

I would suggest you refund the people you have scammed ASAP otherwise you might be in trouble.

If you were a serious Asic Mining Equipment business, would you not pay $50 for a licensed template?Huh

EDIT: If you don't it's because you don't want to provide your details, or you are too cheap to spend $50 for your business image....

4309  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: GroupBuy For ANTMINER S1 Dual Blades 180Ghs 1.35btc Worldwide on: February 02, 2014, 01:28:11 PM
It is dead easy to prove that Bitmain is supporting this group buy get him to reply to the thread stating he is supporting it just like he does for Sushi

+1

+1 also in your model people are still giving you their addresses and waiting for you to refund their 0.1

+1

If you can get Bitmain to confirm this then you will get buyers.

That being said, if I buy now I only get it for 1.25 using my coupon.
If I wait till Feb08 I get it much cheaper.

I think I will wait Wink

The current coupon is 0.02BTC, not the old coupon of 0.2BTC.

So, we order through the regular bitmain website and hopefully we get a 0.1BTC rebate. Why does this bother people so much (excluding other GB organizers, I understand why this bothers you)? It sounds like the worst case scenario is you pay the 1.45 and get a S1.

I was about to order one anyway, how quickly can I get the 0.1BTC rebate? Proof for others here would go along way and we all benefit from lower prices.

I am sorry but I don't understand what you mean....

First I have the old coupon Wink

Secondly, what I said is that if this guy can get Bitmain to confirm this he will have a lot of buyers.
That however does not include me since I can get it cheaper.

Thats all Smiley

Done, working fine Smiley
Thanks Smiley

I knew ghash.io had problems last night but it was working about 20mins later.
And I am using that as I believe I earn more from an Antminer.

Is it working full speed?

Any news why is down?
They seems to work only 2Pth at this moment.

Nope, I don't have any news at the mo.
I have switched to btcguild as I can't waste time without mining.

I am using ghash.io.

Was working fine till around 2 am this morning it started beeping. It does that when there is no connection.

Waited for a while, restarted it.

Started to work, then I went back to sleep and this morning when I woke up it just doesn't do anything.

Beep noise means there is no connection to pool.
Ghash.io was down at night today. Use btcguild and see if working.

Normal procedure is to switch miners of and on again.

It will work. I dont know why people mining at biggest pools when BTC is about not being decentralize.
Use Btcguild as second pool. so anytime when ghash.io will be down it will mine on back up pool.

No, but I hope they will have more... or found them too late Sad

It's CNY so don't expect anything before 08 Feb

Shocked
Isn't the chinese new year on 31 Jan? They have such a long holiday?

15-16 Days, but most start business before that

HELP!

My Antminer is not mining anymore.
It stopped working and it gives me nothing in the miner status section.

It worked fine before, now it just doesn't.

Any ideas?

Thanks:)
4317  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How to go about building a super miner on: February 01, 2014, 03:31:38 PM
I am new to mining, and I have been reading more than I care to about the process. I am just gonna ask the dumb question and expect the flames to start flying lol.

I want to know if there is a way to build a 3TH mining machine. I want something modular so I can start small and scale my way up to 3TH. Is there already set of devices or equipment that you can keep adding too like this? Is it possible? how much would it cost (initial setup, and per module to the 3th target)? And how big would this machine be?

Learn Chinese, then ask this question in the Chinese forums Wink

4318  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 01, 2014, 03:19:41 PM
Bro get a virwox account and verify it.

Then you can get BTC in a matter of a couple of hours.

Besides (from my point of view) that exchange costs are less then direct bank transfer.

Get a virwox account deposit anyway you like - even paypal - buy linden dollars and exchange them to BTC

I use coinbase, which is super convenient and direct bank transfer, there's no costs expect whatever coinbase's exchange rate is vs other exchanges. But because I don't have a Visa credit card (all of mine are Mastercard), I can't get approved for instant purchasing. :/

Virwox accepts mastercard..

God I wish I had an affiliate link so I can post it now Wink
4319  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: February 01, 2014, 03:02:36 PM
Here is my little setup..

Are you making any coins out of this?Huh

Sorry to ask but I though usb miners were a lost cause.

At the moment it gets about 80p a day in Bitcoin, or £4 if I sell a 24hr 'contract' on ebay, if I sold up today I'd be in profit on the equipment so I keep a close eye on the resale prices. Not looking to get rich tbh but it's a good platform to play/learn some Linux.

I still don't get it.

Did you make a ROI on them?

ROI on a U1 is about 4 months at current difficulty, so I'll mine for a while then sell them, hopefully be a little in profit at the end.

I thought purchasing an Antminer witn a ROI of 2 months was a risk....
Still I am happy with it Smiley
