w3m is not old, it's just text-based.

But who uses it?
0.001% of Internet users?  Tongue
4302  Other / Off-topic / Re: Social Network on: February 02, 2012, 05:52:10 PM
There are plenty of reasons why I don't use any social networks.  One of them is that their websites just suck.  When I tried to browse facebook with w3m once, I got a page saying something stupid such as:

"Sorry, we are not cool enough to support your browser."

Well I am sorry but implementing html standards so that a website is accessible with any browser, it is not being cool.  It is just being serious.

Had you ever worked on your own websites you would've understood that it is a waste of resources to care about some browsers (netscape, IE6 and older, etc.)
Yes, I know a lot of people are still using old IEs but fortunately companies are moving away from supporting them.
4303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much would you ask to create (me) a cryptocoin variation ? on: January 31, 2012, 10:24:11 PM

4308  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 30, 2012, 02:06:03 AM
Will you check if everything's fine with the cards (bitcoin & gaming) once you get them before you ship them?
4309  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 29, 2012, 06:40:03 PM
I will not have these cards until Tuesday.  Brand new but OEM so they come with nothing but the card.  I will process reasonable RMA's if buyer pays all shipping costs for one year.  I make no warranty myself on these cards, if Diamond refuses then you are screwed.

US shipping will be priority tracked.  I will ship international with a proper customs form (no marking as gift) for actual shipping cost.

No lower offers please, I will just place em in rigs and mine below $410 each.

How much for both cards shipped to EU (Poland) with customs?

I've been developing a trading bot for MTGox for the last couple of months. I would like to share my experience with anyone interested.

Any specifics about it?
4312  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Best router / router firmware to use with cgminer on: January 28, 2012, 06:46:33 PM
i'm guessing it's megabytes (not megabits) right? see if your router can log the bandwidth used + # of connections.

When you order Internet connection service the ISP usually provides the speed in Mb not MB.
4313  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Which VNC program do you use? (... assuming you do) on: January 28, 2012, 03:27:09 PM
Teamviewer, no extra configuration required.
4314  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: January 27, 2012, 08:11:44 PM

It's almost fully covered... too much heat will stay inside.
I figured on removing the rear door, and leaving the perforated front one on. Proper fan design should keep the air moving. Perhaps box fans on the back.

I'd take out the upper part too because heat always goes up

I have to pay 0.25 € (about 0.3285 $), that's expensive but it's 100% eco-power, so it's OK.

What do you mean by eco-power?
0.25 euro is 0.25 euro
4317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This will change Bitcoin as you know it. on: January 26, 2012, 12:14:09 PM
Any chance to decrease the costs of printed edition+international shipment?

For now, I'll buy the digital edition, but I am really a fan of normal paper books and magazines/newspapers and rarely read more than 10 pages on a pc/e-book reader/etc. because it isn't as comforrtable.
4318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This will change Bitcoin as you know it. on: January 26, 2012, 12:02:58 AM
Why don't you just distribute it for free, or just to cover the cost of online hosting (<$0.10) and support yourselves from advertisements.
4319  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: January 24, 2012, 11:43:41 PM
Power to the People  Grin

Mining Rig:
36 x 5850
24 x 6950
Average mining Power: 21 GHash/s

That's an average of 350 MHash/s per GPU, my 5850s alone can make 400 MHash/s with stock voltage..
These cards must be pretty warm.

But they look nice Grin

P.S. where are the remainding 36 GPUs (only 24 on the pic)?
4320  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Wanted: Your questions! on: January 24, 2012, 11:16:22 PM
How many questions may I submit?

Q1: Do use the Bitcoins you mine or do you simply exchange them for fiat currencies and treat Bitcoin only as a way of making a living?
Q2: Have you ever met anyone who's first impression of Bitcoin wasn't "it must be some sort of Nigerian scam"?
Q3: What will happen with alternate cryptocurrencies in the future? Will they be wiped out by Bitcoin and forgotten or will they compete? If so, how will they affect the Bitcoin economy?
Q4: How would you counter a situation if a govt. intruduced a new law declaring the use of Bitcoin illegal?
Q5: How many GPUs have you fried?

If any of the questions fit your needs, feel free to rearrange it as you like - English isn't my first langauge.
