As far as I'm concerned, it has to. What else is going to drag XMR down to $230 where it needs to be? why does it need to be at 230 ? How do people here compare XMR to ETH (obviously they are different platforms focusing on different things)? ETH has major backing but do the highly informed here think XMR has potential to rival it? ETH is a centralized, mutable, unscalable, non-fungible corporate backed cyber-kitteh platform. It has nothing whatsoever to do with cryptocurrency, or currency at all. XMR is a grass-roots, community funded, decentralized, immutable, permissionless, fungible money. Not sure how or why one might compare them. XMR is money. ETH is an incorrect answer to a question that will never be asked. Wait... where is that like button? |

Guys, use Bitstamp for smaller transactions. I funded stamp with 1 btc and have sent numerous transactions (avg size is about 50 usd) with no fee at all. They batch their transactions so its free for you and almost free for them aswell, win - win.

Localbitcoin users are getting nailed for not having proper licensing and getting massive fines. AFA Decentralized exchanges, openledger does not look safe IMO and I'm not aware of others that are. I just did a search of a few but I don't like any of the platforms I've seen like waves is a total scam and I refuse to use Eth for anything (and now you can't anyway). I'm guessing once the multisig is rolled out our options will increase. Until then It's still centralized or bust I guess.

I mean, we just had a large correction from 850 billion market cap down to 650 in a day. Bitcoin dropped from almost 18k to 13k at one point.
To think that small bounce back to 14k bitcoin is "safe" is not correct.
It's good that he isn't recommending a short, but right now we are still more bear than bull. We had a bounce, and now we are waiting for the retaliation, which will drive BTC prices down even more.
So just wait and see...
Exactly. We are more likely to go down than up. BTC as it is is almost unusable due to network congestion and high fees. I would love to see it go up but I doubt it will happen before these pressing issues are fixed. The problem is that LN is not a short term solution and there is no way of forcing big exchanges to use it in any case. Hell, many of them aren't even using segwit or batching (Coinbase etc.). I've started to seriously think about trading my bitcoins to ethereum or even bcash (even though I think that Roger Ver is a scam artist) to not to lose my assets. Do NOT reward the scammers. If you are going to move to an alt. Move to a real one. You said Etherium, but I would prefer Monero or maybe Litecoin. These are projects which set out to compliment BTC not subvert it. And they have excellent dev teams, use cases, real world use, and positive communities. Or... just stick with the one true coin. |

Why is the price going down?  Doesn't the entire world want BTC, the money of the future? Money that you cannot spend, or transfer to a friend, or experiment with, or really do anything with except HODL and make memes about future lambos. Lightning Network is coming any day now and then fees will be low and merchant adoption will sky rocket! Except that LN doesn't even work in theory and even ignoring that it would still takes years to bootstrap an entirely new network because that's what LN is -- an independent network to bitcoin.Your passive aggressive sarcastic tone is very endearing. How was it with a paper wallet? If I have 10 Bitcoins on a paper wallet, I have to sent them all at once to the exchange? Otherwise the rest will get lost?
No you can send whatever you want... but that paper wallet is may no longer be "cold" storage. By the way.. this is an example of why layer 2 is so important... Takes a few hops of logic to see it though. |
