4301  Economy / Economics / Re: Are institutional investors capable of selling their bitcoins? on: April 27, 2021, 01:55:49 PM
Institutional investors will use reputable platforms that are properly regulated to buy and sell their coins... some are even buying directly from the miners, because they are cautious about buying coins that might be implicated in crimes. (Most of the coins involved with crimes are pushed through Mixer services, so nobody will ever know that it was used in crime)  Roll Eyes

The problem come in when these people start using OTC services, because those services do not have any influence on the Bitcoin price. (Exchange prices are commonly used to determine the price)
4302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt believes that Biden may do a lot of damage to bitcoin on: April 27, 2021, 07:21:41 AM
Biden can hardly hold a thought pattern for 5 seconds, so you should not be too worried about him. The real threat come from Butthurt Yellen, because she still wants to take revenge on "The Bitcoin guy" who sabotaged her speech a few years ago.

So you can expect a lot of strict laws and regulations from her Office to reduce Crypto currency use. (Higher Capital gains taxes on Crypto transactions is just one of the things that they will do, to reduce it's use.)  Angry
4303  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mnemonic Slots on: April 26, 2021, 07:46:12 AM
The problem with this idea is this :

Slots are designed to "reward" players on a regular interval to keep people wagering. Most casinos only profit from the wagering, so they will get Slots from third party providers that will draw in a crowd that will wager for hours on end.

People playing this Slot will quickly get bored, because they are not going to win anything for months, so casinos will not be interested in hosting this game.  Roll Eyes

Most people play Slots for the entertainment value and for possible big jackpots, so Slot providers add features like Free Spins and bonuses to keep it interesting. (How will you keep people interested to play this game?)
4304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Killed Bitcoin?? Greed? Government? Fraud? Idiocy? on: April 26, 2021, 06:54:13 AM
There are several flaws in your post.. OP.

The developers of Bitcoin (BTC) never gave up ANY of the core principles of Satoshi Nakamoto. When you use it without third party services, those principles are still in tact. Yes, some developers like Gavin and Mike tried to sabotage it, but they failed.

Governments have always had the upper hand, because they make the laws, but people still have power. (Use your vote and creativity to get around some of the restrictions)

You know the saying... "Shit draws flies" ..... well "currency" has value and it will attract the attention of criminals. (Nothing with value has escaped that)

Lastly, you talk about other Alt coins giving a higher Return on investment than Bitcoin.... well that would be right, if you are focused on profits and not using this technology as a currency. (None of these shitcoins has the network of services that accepts it as a payment option, so BTC care less about being the top PROFIT maker, but rather being the most widely used coin)  Wink
4305  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 26, 2021, 05:33:28 AM
Only a few days are left in our Million Dollar Race!

Where are you guys placed right now??

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1386501518241767424

I JUST cracked the 10k mark. It was fun, i cant believe how many people are ahead of me though. I might be able to move up another hundred or a thousand places, but wont reach top 5000.

Yea, I also struggle to get into the top 5000 circle, because I was on holiday for a while and I missed most of this challenge. Eddie said in his weekly stream that they might do this again and it might be for bigger prizes.  Grin

I did win a 18 000x multiplier yesterday, so I might have a crack at it to get into the top 5000 in the remaining 5 days.  Grin  I am also very curious to see if Syztmz is going to go to the front again or if we are going to see a late push from a "hidden" Alt account in the last couple of days. (The conspiracy theorists out there are saying a Stake Alt account are going to come out of nowhere and it is going to push to the number 1 spot)  Roll Eyes
4306  Economy / Economics / Re: China to overtake the Us as the largest global economy by 2028? on: April 25, 2021, 08:14:21 PM
You know..... The US debt is slowly but surely ..sucking out the live blood out of the US economy. The focus is not on creating jobs and retaining those jobs... but just to stimulate the economy with the printing of toilet paper money. On the other hand... the Americans are at their strongest, with their backs to the wall... and you cannot take that away from them. (Look what happened after 911 and all the natural disasters that hit them)

I honestly think they will bounce back, but they will lose their global hold as the reserve currency for a lot of nations. Governments will lose faith in the US Dollar and the US will have to fight to get it back. (It is also possible that the new Chinese Govcoin might be the next Bitcoin)  Sad
4307  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-21] Governments can stop Bitcoin by shutting down mining, says Electric on: April 25, 2021, 04:46:47 PM
So the governments all over the world is going to shutdown all electricity? WTF are these people smoking.....because that will never happen. Also, if say China stop all the mining being done in China... those miners will relocate to another country and the mining will continue. (Alternatively, they will sell their ASICs to people mining in other countries)

Let's say in theory that the governments manage to shutdown electricity.... what happens then? Well, most of these mining operations can run on Solar power and Wind power and Diesel generators... etc. etc... ( A massive difficulty adjustment, will even make GPU mining possible.. so you would need much less electricity to mine Bitcoin then)  Wink
4308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BENEFIT OF BITCOINTALK ORGANISATION IN AFRICA. on: April 25, 2021, 03:21:06 PM
I think many people underestimate the impact that Bitcointalk.org has on people's lives all over the world. Some people that I have introduced to Bitcointalk.org lost their jobs and they were able to make a few bucks during the Covid pandemic, with the knowledge that they acquired on this forum. (Trading Alt coins and some bounty and signature campaigns)

I paid a lot of my debt with the help of coins that I acquired over the years and sold at the ATH that we had back in 2017. It really changed my live, because I was able to buy more coins and I recently sold some of those coins, when the price was at $60 000. (live changing money)  Wink

People in Africa have very shitty Internet and they do not qualify for many marketing jobs online, so Bitcointalk.org is definitely helping them. You do not have to have fast Internet to compete with 1st world Internet users... if you participate in micro tasks on this forum.  Wink
4309  Other / Archival / Re: The difference between the Martingale system and One-Time-Bet on: April 25, 2021, 10:33:20 AM
I think there are some human desire to beat the house, because people are using all these strategies and none of them ever work. Some sites said that they have counters for the Martingale strategy, but I think they lie... if they use a Provably Fair system. You also get different variations on the Martingale strategy... like : "The Break-Even Martingale Strategy" or "The Inverse Martingale Strategy"

You also get "The D’Alembert Strategy" and "The Paroli Strategy" ..... but most of them will not drastically improve your chances to profit. It is all in the mind.  Roll Eyes
4310  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Protonmail Disaster Problem on: April 25, 2021, 09:01:29 AM
I think your best defense would be to tell them that you did this to get more users for them to sign on to their site. (You actually helped them to increase their users to their site)

Also tell them that most new users find it very difficult to "register" on their site (It is more difficult than other webmail services) ....so you reduced cost to them, because less people had to be supported by their support.

Protonmail has sold out to the US a few years ago, when they started collaborating with the US 3letter agencies. (Everyone still think they are a SWISS company and they are sovereign nation)  Roll Eyes
4311  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 25, 2021, 07:54:14 AM
Let's assume this guy had 220 bitcoins to gamble with, then his account balance would have earned him DAILY INTEREST of 0.02410958 BTC to gamble with... and that makes for MONTHLY INTEREST (30d) of 0.72425178 BTC .... He might even had more coins on here.  Roll Eyes

I doubt that anyone in their right mind would deposit that amount of coins on this site, for 4% interest... it would make more sense to trade with it and to deposit smaller amounts daily from those profits.  Wink
4312  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 32% drop in the value of shares of Coinbase after the fall in the price of Bitc on: April 25, 2021, 07:20:22 AM
We all know that the price of the Coinbase shares was going to be hyped and that the price would be inflated when they went public. Why is this such a shock to people that there are a correction now?

The inflated price just meant that the traders would cash in on an opportunity to take quick profits. Yes, the BTC price went down and it has a slight impact on the Coinbase share price.. but it would have happened, even if the price of BTC skyrocketed.

Just wait it out... it will pick up again.  Wink  (BTC is not the only token that are listed on Coinbase)
4313  Economy / Economics / Re: First UK Bank Bans Businesses Accepting Bitcoin on: April 24, 2021, 06:09:37 PM
I think they are just killing the competition... because they cannot allow some other technology to steal the limelight.. when it comes to money laundering. What will happen with their profits, if criminals stop using Banks to launder their money?  Roll Eyes

We saw other Banks in the UK also doing that in the past, but it still did not stop people from using it.  Grin Some of these Banks are still stuck in the dark ages, where they think Monopolies will survive..... not even the Royal Family can resist the changes that are taking place.  Wink
4314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the world become greedier since BTC? on: April 24, 2021, 03:29:54 PM
I think Bitcoin opened up the Pandora's box of greediness, because a lot of people missed the Bitcoin boat. So they tried to recreate the whole Bitcoin thing with Alt coins and now all these greedy people are chasing the next Alt coin that will go to the Moon.

The majority of these Alt coins are mere Shitcoins and Pump n dump schemes with zero use case. Just look at how SafeMoon is being whored on social media to build hype. It is actually sad to see all these people selling their a$$ for profits.  Sad
4315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Feature Do You Look for In Slot Games? on: April 24, 2021, 11:36:55 AM
I have to say, "Free spins and bonus games" are most definitely my most biggest magnet to any Slot. You play for hours, just to hit that Free Spins ..so that you can get back your money or profit big.

Yes, the RTP (Return to player) is also very important, because it will determine how long you will be able to play. I gamble for entertainment and to pass the time... so I want a high RTP to extent my playing time. Just the other day, I played for a few hours in a Brick n Mortar casino, with a mere $200. ( I chat with other people and I drink and eat and have a great time )  Wink
4316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone on Tiktok said that Bitcoin will go down zero if founder show up! on: April 24, 2021, 10:44:56 AM
There are a lot of shit being said on TikTok and other social media channels and most of it is backed by some hidden agenda. I also saw his video and I commented on why he is saying such nonsense. When a guy like him with his roots as a financial analyst on Wall Street, tells you something ..you got to dig a little deeper. (These guys circle jerk and share information behind closed doors and then they brag about their good profits from trading with insider information)  Grin

They do not want you to invest in something, where they do not have the manipulation power.
4317  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ Paradice.in | 🍀 Provably Fair 🎲 | Rain☔| 30 sec Faucet | 1% House Edge 💰| on: April 23, 2021, 01:36:30 PM
See...the thing that I liked about the site, was the fact that it was designed that a newcomer could sample the games ..before he signup for the site. A lot of gambling sites will kinda force you to register, before you actually see what they offer you.

I was able to play the games with what looked like some "PalmCoin" and even though I was not debited or credit after the wins or losses, I could still test the games and see if I like it.

Job well done!
4318  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 23, 2021, 08:53:26 AM

Oh lord thank you for the beautiful reward but please make this one count by getting me lucky in the lottery.  Grin Grin

To be honest, these free lottery tickets are of no use unless we win a lottery round no matter what the amount is.
I consider reward points and free sats to be more rewarding than lottery tickets because I never really get lucky with lotteries  Embarrassed

#TheQuin - Can we have a thread for these kinds of wins, like we have for the FREE ROLL wins, where people report their winnings from the wheel? It would be nice to see if there are actually people winning anything bigger than 35 Satoshi or 3500 Lottery tickets?

I have loads of people affiliated on my ref that I know and they are all subscribed to this "Wheel" ...but they only saying that they are winning very small prizes.

Is that doable?
4319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I die can someone achieve my btc. on: April 23, 2021, 05:40:40 AM
I went to market with my wife to buy things for our new born baby, after my wife selected baby things that Worth thousands and I paid with my btc,the transaction was very easy and faster. When  we returned home ,she asked if you die can I achieved your btc or continued with your account? Because it's very easy and faster in trading and transaction.

You can browse this forum for the threads that cover the creation of secure paper wallets (air-gapped computer) and then create your own paper wallets. Then take the Private key that are generated and split it into 3 pieces (Example 3Cb57  5gRC1 rHRs3H) and give her one of the pieces.

Now you take the two other pieces and give one to a trusted beneficiaries and one goes to your lawyer with your will. When you die, the beneficiaries have to come together to put the Private key together, for them to access your coins.  Wink

Teach them how to sweep Private keys to wallets now, to prepare them for when they have to do it when you die.  Wink
4320  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe history repeat itself? Economic wise. on: April 21, 2021, 05:51:33 PM
Yes, history will repeat itself and people will not learn from the mistakes that were made in the past. Why have we seen several bubbles in the past.... Answer : Because people are greedy and they are constantly chasing the latest craze. (It can be property / Stocks / Shares / Shitcoins...)

Inflation will remain a headache, because governments are trying to print themselves out of trouble. They should have pumped that stimulus money into job creation and manufacturing... not into people's pockets.  Angry
