To develop a little Lille failure that we mentioned previously, here we are with another defeat and this time vs Lens. 6 games: 3 defeats 2 draw 1 win, such an awesome start for the title holder (for not long time)!

For me, I was expecting more from Spurs, although Rennes is a good team but the level of leagues is very different, and also for Union Berlin, such defeat with such score is quite unexpected. Meanwhile, Roma is taking the lights right now under Mourinho ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Stopped expecting anything from Spurs a long time ago, except if you want Kane/Son to score, which you can usually count on. But taking all 3 points is no longer a given, not since Mourinho and I'm still out on Nuno. That said, Mourinho proves he is made for Italy, and maybe he was told there's no parking space for the bus at Roma:) lol but you are right, myself said that the last season when their failure or win was very random but honestly level of teams in Conference League is way weaker than Spurs, a draw against Rennes could be swallowed but their next games should be different for real.

I expected a win by a small gap from Inter against Bologna honestly. But I was shocked to see the result which was 6-1. I was surprised because Bologna started with a similar performance to Inter's. However, Inter still don't care about it. They just destroy their obstacles one by one. Dzeko scored 2 goals and it was good to witness this. Because he is expected to fill Lukaku's place as good as possible.
Today Inter knocked Bologna with 6 goals. Bologna received only 2 goals in the 3 previous matches before that one. Such an unexpected result. Inter is really threatening although losing key players services. Wonder know what Juve can do tomorrow vs Milan.

There are some risky bets that look terrifyingly good like Leicester @2.8 vs Brighton @2.6, Everton @3 vs Aston Villa @2.4, Wolves @1.8 vs Brentford @5. Well those favourites teams might win of course but it worth taking the risk or playing double chance for lower rates?
Of the all I really like Brentford at 5 odds against wolves who has 1.8 I think it's really an exciting odd to play, and I would be placing a brentford win Regardless of the high odds, I don't think wolves are far better than Brentford even if wolves won their last match, so it's a risk I would be taken this weekend. I would not be excited about Leicester city I think they aren't a good straight win to take for anybody this weekend, although it's my thoughts their match is seemingly going to be a draw. So I assume today is a good day for you with Brentford winning vs Wolves x5 ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Mind you they played like half an hour with 10 players. Wolves are very disappointing this season! In the other games, Arsenal won again which means less stress for Arteta until their next game vs Spurs next round. And City got only 1 point vs Southampton.

Bayern Munich performed really insanely against Bochum today. To be honest, I expected Bayern to destroy their opponent but I never thought of a result like this. A 7-0 result is really huge for them. Bayern really like to play like this sometimes. They enjoy tearing their opponents apart time to time. This stems from their strong discipline also of course. Now I see that Bayern have scored 20 goals in only 5 games. It is unbelievable. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Bochum got Schalke'd by Bayern. No one was expecting such big score (+4 goals) but only 1 goal for Lewandowski ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Hertha got their second 3 points, otherwise M'Gladbach and Leipzig were disappointing!

I'm waiting excitedly for the match between Juventus and Milan in only one day. So far, I see Milan being far better than Juventus. They simply beat Lazio by 2-0 also the last time. They are in a great form even though they were defeated by Liverpool 3-2 in the Champions League a few days ago. Because they had a decent performance in that one also. In short, a tough match is waiting for Juventus and they should be thankful if they get one point.
Juve will try to get its first 3 points after 3 unsuccessful games thus the game will not be easy for Milan at all. According to bookies, Juve is favorite @2 vs Milan @3.5 approximately. We will see the starting eleven but I could not imagine Juve losing again and the reaction of the fans.

First round ended without big surprises in general. Spurs haven't won, but I think it was something expected. Slavia win looks easy on paper, but result was 1:1 for long time and they managed to score winning goals only in final minutes. And red card was big factor. Very solid Roma win.

Don't forget, there are still 8 other team from the Champions League who fail to qualify for the next round will return to the Europa League. Napoli will probably be the favorites to lead the group C standings as they are quite strong so far. But for the next round I think the match will be more difficult. In group C Leicester also don't seem to be underestimated even though at the moment they are not in the best form in the Premier League, they will try to stay competitive in the European League.
These teams that will join later from CL aren't top either and a team like Napoli or Leicester (once they woke up) could challenge them easily.. Maintaining a positive result and a clean sheet were a hard mission yesterday and teams like Frankfurt, Celtic, Dinamo, OM and Lazio were able to do way better in this first round.

Celtic managed to score 2 goal in the match between Real Betis and Celtic. Celtic 2 - 2 Real BetisUnbelievable that Celtic were winning but in less than 3 minutes they conceded 2 goals Galatasaray 0 - 0 Lazio Galatasaray has more ball possession Celtic 2-4 Real Betis, total chaos for Celtic after leading with 2 goals. Galatasaray 1 - 0 Lazio right now which is quite unexpected. Leverkusen just scored 2-1 Ferencvaros, at least some relieving thing, the draw looked weird. I was worried that West Ham could get a draw but they are leading right now with 2 goals vs Dinamo which doesn't look threatening.

After this game, I think Pochettino will try to figure out the best combination of players. I don't know if we should see Mbappe, Neymar and Messi at the same time from the beginning. It might look better to not start with them and play with Icardi or Di Maria then switch tactics and players to confuse the opponent. BTW AFAIK PSG is the most favourite team to get CL title this season according to bookies. I doubt Real Madrid could get it, Chelsea, City and ManU are way better, even PSG is better regardless of this bad result.
I do not think that it was the combination of players that was the problem, it was just the team getting used to it. Have we ever seen Mbappe-Neymar-Messi before this game? I do not think that we have seen them before and this was the first time. So, let's not rush into changing the roster constantly in order to get the team playing better, we could just let the roster be exactly like it is and we would have a better team gradually when they get used to playing with each other. Neymar and Messi played before so they shouldn't be too difficult but Mbappe is not used to Messi and that will take some time but it will eventually happen. I am just still so shocked that they are using Navas at goalkeeping position, just doesn't make sense at all. PSG has many good players and several combinations are possible. No one doubt that these 3 players are top but other possibilities might be more effective simply. There is training essays, real matches results and your day or not. It might not be the day of this trio simply. We will see how they will manage this in the future soon.

Not surprise with PSG although have great tandem as forward with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe failed to give score and win for PSG, just with little club they can't win how come to get champion league trophy? I think PSG have over although got Messi on their team but nothing change, faced with Club Brugge they only play draw and Ander Hererra make goal for PSG, where are Messi, Neymar and Mbappe on this match why they failed to make goal? although on first match I think PSG is not on the list favorite to get champion league trophy and I choose on to top position as favorite Real Madrid get trophy of champion league. After this game, I think Pochettino will try to figure out the best combination of players. I don't know if we should see Mbappe, Neymar and Messi at the same time from the beginning. !st week of Champions is over. PSG only draw is the big surprise for me, they should win at least 4-0.
PSG draw is the biggest surprise for sure and I hope Mbappe will be fine after the injury, but I consider also Sheriff as a surprise too. They got 3 points from Shakhtar after scoring 2 goals to 0! BTW another minor surprises are the huge number of goals scored by City and Ajax. Leipzig and Sporting fans will be under the shock for some time tho!

3 games have 5 goals or more! Incredible and there is still few minutes before the end. Liverpool 3 - 2 Milan, City 5-3 Leipzig, Sporting 1 - 5 Ajax The saddest result for bettors until now is PSG draw vs Brugge, that's disappointing, I assume everyone are waiting for a late goal! ATM and Real Madrid didn't score in their respective games and apparently it will end with a 0-0 draw ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

According to Equipe Donnarumma will not play this evening either with PSG, Navas will play the game in the Champions League.
Was it a good choice for Donnarumma, after all, to go to PSG?
This game between PSG and Club Brugge isn't top anyway and the presence of Donnarumma in it isn't very important imo. I don't consider his choice as a bad one, he will replace Navas at some point, maybe less this year, but in the upcoming years for sure. For now, Dortmund is leading with 2 goals, Haaland scored 1, and in the other game Sheriff 1-0 Shakhtar, that's weird.

The current Barcelona is different without Messi so dont expect them to win against Munich. Even with Mesi on the team, I doubt that they are going to even score against Munich
If I remember correctly, with Messi as part of Barcelona, they lost to Bayern with a total score of 8-2. So at the moment there are no fundamental differences.
Somebody kill me please ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Dat tweet. https://twitter.com/TrollFootball/status/1437881179282149381?s=20I can't stop laughing. (No hate. No offense.) I saw a lot of funny stuff there about Barcelona fans relieve after getting ONLY 3 goals vs Bayern ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) There is also this savage post between Ole and CR7 after ManU defeat https://twitter.com/TrollFootball/status/1437870926138249217And many mocking the relation between 2-1 defeat and CR7. Of course this is just for fun, myself I am still under shock after this defeat!

I agree with most, for West Ham I think we might see a draw too. Betis is better than Celtic. Olympiacos and Monaco to win tho. Leicester vs Napoli is the hardest and best match in the upcoming games.
I really don't think that Dinamo Zagreb can beat West Ham. I know that they are playing at home but they lost against Sheriff and I don't see how they could win this game. Then again, maybe they get extra motivation because they are playing against a big club like West Ham. That happend in the past when they won big games just to lose against some small club like Sheriff. I didn't say Dinamo Zagreb can beat West Ham although it might be possible if WHU played miserably, I rather think that it might end with a draw if WHU isn't fit in that game or Dinamo showing an exceptional performance. If I have to choose, I think double chance West Ham or draw but the odds aren't interesting @1.37...

Sad for those who thought Manchester United would win the title this season.
Is that a joke? I left them leading with 1 goal in the first half + a red card and my eyes are hurting right now seeing ManU defeat against a team from Switzerland. What's going on! ManU journey won't stop here for sure but such a defeat is nonsense ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif)
Sevilla got a draw + a red card for their scorer, very promising.. Villarreal draw vs Atalanta, I find it logic tho Bayern knocking Barca as usual but with 3 goals this time. Wonder know the feeling of Koeman.. Red cards in 4/8 games ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Tomorrow Inter 🔥 Real Madrid (not sure which one will win), Liverpool - Milan and City - Leipzig.

Very surprising that Red Bull Salzburg leads in Seville and that although they have already missed an eleven shot. That Manchester leads is not surprising for me, they will probably win the game clearly even if Manchester has just received a red card.
The game Red Bull against Sevilla is for me still completely open.
Sevilla 1 - 1 Salzburg, both goals scored from penalties and of course this game can end both way, although I find Sevilla chances better. ManU is leading, CR7 is proving again how important he is for the club, I think ManU will score another goal at least even if they are 1 player down.

I don't know if it's the same now but starting of the season when he was reported to be near to appointment as Everton's manager, many fans didn't liked the decision. Everton were kinda in a bad situation if whether to appoint him or not but they did. Hope it has settled down now. But if at some point Everton starts performing bad I am sure fans will quickly demand or put pressure on sacking him. It is a classic thing, like the manager whenever the team did good and sack him whenever the team is doing worse, Arteta (loading) as an example. I remember Everton did well in the first games in EPL last year, they were even first at some point tho then dropped in performance. Until now they faced 4 weaker and/or unstable teams so the actual standing isn't representative.
