4301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some big things to watch for in 2020 on: February 06, 2020, 12:11:34 PM
I am waiting for all of these events as well. In my opinion, Bitcoin halving will have a positive impact on the whole cryptocurrency market. As of Libra, Telegram Open Network and Ethereum 2.0, it would be nice if at least one of them launched this year.
I am also hoping the same but even with Libra to launch this year, that would already be big enough and we will feel the same hype like early 2018, and this would also add some hype on the halving as people believe it will make crypto market bullish, especially bitcoin.

ETH will continue to suffer without some big announcement but I am certain soon ETH 2.0 will be launch, they sure will launch it at the right timing.
4302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 06, 2020, 11:54:30 AM
and losers will always loser so better give it a shot at least every other day or little time daily.

No, not that.. everyone has a chance to grow and succeed in gambling, although we start as a loser.
Of course, when we are a newbie, we usually lose more than win more and we have to accept that reality so we can improve our strategy, and you need to choose the right game because if you are just playing games like a luck based games, you'll have no future on that, in that kind of game, the longer you play the lower your chance of winning.
4303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 06, 2020, 07:30:57 AM
not sure if this current trade regarding with releasing Capela gives them a good result.

But the management are sure of it that's why they traded capela although his performance is really good within the team.
Their current line up for sure would not take them in the West Finals, even the semis but they might be thinking of putting a replacement probably better than capela, that's the surprise we have to watch out for.
4304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [AMA] The Life of a Professional Gambler on: February 05, 2020, 01:13:16 PM
This is a great thread to watch, I've been reading some of the comments but haven't read most of it actually.

I have a question, since we are talking about bankroll management here, and we know without a decent bankroll, we will never win big.
I like to give a figure, for example I have a bankroll of $5000 use for the entire NBA season, how much can I expect to win that would satisfy me as a gambler, or should I stop when I am already winning or should I end the season?

I am just thinking that along the way we could be greedy, so I would appreciate to hear your experience on this.

and by the way, what odds do you normally take? do you take 1.90 below or 2.00 up only?
4305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 05, 2020, 12:42:38 PM
actually, it's better losing money than losing time
you can always work and recover the money but time is really scarce, you can never recover it.

that's why prioritizing is so important in life.

You'll only lose your time if you are a busy person and yet you are prioritizing gambling.
most of us have a lot of spare time, we gamble because we are enjoying it, we like to burn our time in gambling and if we win, that's what we called spending our quality time.

Money is really important, if you keep winning, you can do everything you want since you have the money, so people are really trying to win to experience some financial freedom if they are lucky.
4306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is DeFi anything? on: February 05, 2020, 11:46:03 AM
I am not sure what you see in this project that you called promising.

yes today it has increase 174% but that is due to very small volume, per https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/defi/, its volume is less than a dollar.
What kind of project would grow with that?

4307  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a penalty for newbies who do SPAM. on: February 05, 2020, 11:22:42 AM
There's a lot of newbie which are spamming the same, if they will be reported, they should be ban but then it's easy to make an account so eventually they will make a new one again to join the bounty and spam the forum, I am not sure if IP ban would work on this if it's existing.
4308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: February 04, 2020, 11:51:10 PM

Probably out of hundred thousand of gamblers, two digits of it are those people that became lucky. This is just a personal thought and my opinion about the stats and no actual basis.

We don't need actual number of data but we know already that majority are losers in gambling that's why casinos stay profitable and they are a growing industry while the rate is really good. There are exceptional people who make money out from gambling consistently and that's the reason why people are still eager to try their luck or their skills just to prove to themselves if they are exceptional or not.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoins are you keeping in your bag for 2020-2021 ? on: February 04, 2020, 11:12:55 PM
Being on the list of the top 5 cryptos in the market, our chances are near to be achieved but of course, we will not just overly confident that it will be fine all the way because the trend might change as well at any time.
Me, I am confident because I am investing and that's what we should do.
Being unrealistic and over confident are different from realistic and confident at the same time, that's what I do.

Speaking of the top 5, that's the major coins that would likely to grow as bitcoin grow as they lead the market for altcoins.
4310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: February 04, 2020, 10:39:58 PM
Putting my bet on the Milwaukee Bucks -6.5 at 2.00 odds. I don't think the young Pelicans playing at home can beat the best winning team in the present NBA season. Giannis and his team will show the difference. It is also an interesting match up between Giannis and the rookie Zion Williamson.
Bucks came from a lose but they'll start winning again for sure and hopefully against this rising them so we will see the real status of this team.

Will it be a complete mismatch?
In the past few games, Zion was averaging good points and he is back with his usual playing time, so let's see, hopefully we can see a competition here but Bucks could again win on the road by 10 points, and of course they'll cover.
4311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the most valuable altcoin? on: February 04, 2020, 08:58:00 AM
The most valuable alt in 2020 will be ether, that's my personal opinion, I think so because ETH has been very good in recent times.
ETH regardless on how it perform still has a lot of believers, though it dump real hard from $1000 plus to less than $100, people are still holding it, they don't lose their faith on ETH and they hold one day it will again pump and mark a new ATH.

I am one of the many who believe that ETH will rise but I don't know if it could happen this year.
4312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of bounty campaign. on: February 04, 2020, 08:48:02 AM
Its getting harder to see good rewards from bounties, only high ranking members are still getting something good from bounties and those bounties are BTC paying bounty projects, for low ranking members its like a waste of time, the reason why i'm still here is because i like taking chances
Just a correction, it's a signature campaign that pays in btc and it's not a bounty.
Before the ICO has become popular, signature campaign is already in the forum, and until now there are still a lot of advertisers who'd like to run a campaign from time to time, its true that high rank gets better payment but you should not stop, instead, you gotta be inspired to rank up.
4313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run or Bull Trap on: February 04, 2020, 08:33:45 AM

There was a time that bitcoin plummeted to $6,000 and those who have bought with that price can retrieve their profit regardless of the corrections right now.
Exactly because that was the dip during those times, well maybe last year it was $3k but from that price bitcoin have pump a lot reaching to $13,000 then it falls back to $6k then pump again to $10,000, then fall back to $7000 by the end of the year.

This year we reach $9000 by the end of January and if people are just playing games with the volatility, they can make profits many times since many times there's an opportunity given to us traders.
4314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may hit 27K USD in the next 180 days! on: February 03, 2020, 09:48:17 AM
After I witnessed the last bull run, I would not underestimate any prediction like this as anything could happen and $27K is a realistic target.

This is what happen in 2017

From $900 to $20,000: Bitcoin’s Historic 2017 Price Run Revisited
Everything can happen and since there's halving before that prediction chances are there to make it come true, though there's still lots of
possibilities that can influence whatever direction this market will proceed, believing and holding to see the outcome may bring huge benefits.
There's only huge benefit if there is a real bull run that will happen this year.
If Bitcoin will rise to $15,000 let's say before the halving, I guess everyone should already take the opportunity to sell and don't wait for a new ATH as possibly a dump is likely to follow, this is just for people who like to ensure they'll be profitable following the halving schedule's hype but for those risk how trust the long term movement, it's still right to hold since bitcoin always rise when theirs a demand happens even if its just an artificial demand.
4315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: February 03, 2020, 09:19:23 AM
Let me share some pick.

Clippers vs Spurs, last game Clippers had a blow out win on the road (SA 109 - LAC 134).
They'll be playing this time at home with a complete squad so its expected they'll do well and win another +10 points.
However, with the Spurs winning in their last 2 games, I think this would give them a great momentum, so a +10 handicap looks good to bet on.
4316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin's price is disappointing!!! on: February 03, 2020, 09:04:50 AM
Altcoins are not doing really well since all the time high. not only you even the whole crypto community is disappointed as their investment is at risk. well let's just wait and see what 2020 can bring
Probably there's a lot of chance for us to see the market pump this year, it has been said that 2020 is bullish due to the upcoming halving schedule and in fact so far the price has significantly increase already. January was good, so he hold by this month, another good pump we are going to witness, bitcoin rising to $12,000 this month is very possible.

we will then slowly see altcoins to rise also, and hopefully people will not be disappointed this year.

4318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in January 2020 will touch 10k, What do you think? on: January 31, 2020, 02:01:54 PM
I am still not sure if it will reach 10k because there is only 3 days left in January but at least we have tried

Only one day left you mean? It looks unlikely, reaching $10K this week or next is still very possible, but looks more likely to occur in February/March now after a pull back.

It will not reached $10K with less than 24 hours remaining in January 2020, but, we should still be happy with the current price of btc now because it was a significant rise and our expectation that the start is bullish did happen.

This month, btc opened at 7,194.89 and it could end $9K more or less, so it;s really a big gains already.
If we round it to a whole numbers, it's like $2,000 increase in just one month.
4319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 31, 2020, 01:36:16 PM

As far as money and the knicks, every team lives with a salary cap so the knicks cant just throw more money at the issue, they just need to construct a good team starting with hitting on some of their draft picks.
For me, their priority now should be getting a star player to lead the young players, if they can get at least close to Lebron James equivalent, that would be very helpful. They are in a big market and yet they don't have a star, they need to give the fans a real entertainment and that would only happen if there's something who could bring hype to the team, just like what Luka did with the Mavericks.
4320  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 Reasons Why Bitcoin Price Has Gained 40% In 2020 on: January 31, 2020, 01:13:32 PM
The first reason is exactly what is happening now, the halving is in the air and people are starting to fill their wallets so they can sell short term with the profit. With what people are thinking about the halving, I think bitcoin will just continue to pump even more and I would say the hype is real.
