4301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN GLORIOUS DAYS MIGHT JUST BE HERE on: February 16, 2019, 09:13:14 PM
Whenever there is a financial crisis, I think bitcoin's price will hit the top since people would rather invest in a developing currency rather than a weak currency.
If the content in the OP is true then there are very good chances that people will adopt the Bitcoin technology and will buy bitcoins when US dollar falls in price.
There are good chances for bitcoin to go to the top in future since financial crisis keeps happening from time to time.

People would rather buy a developing currency you got that right but they would also buy a commodity like gold over this developing currency. In a big monetary crash people will dump fiat currencies and buy physical goods like gold and silver coins, bars, even cars because you can move them around and they retain value better than fiat.
4302  Economy / Economics / Re: JPM Coin, the JP Morgan coin on: February 16, 2019, 08:29:29 PM
So, this is an another centralized shit coin?

How funny to think that this JP Morgan do really opposes Bitcoin and now tending to make his own.He might gain some traction but wont really be that high compared to Ripple.

He never really opposed Bitcoin. It was a move to manipulate the market and it worked. The market reacted to his words people retweeted them and the price went down so he did it again and again but there was no big reaction this time. He tested the waters and probably made money on it. He even said that his daughter was trading bitcoin so at least she made money on her father's FUD tweets.
4303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unelectric Bitcoin Society on: February 16, 2019, 08:20:00 PM
This idea is bad on so many levels. Like how would you ensure that nobody else sees your light or smoke signals. Morse code? It's also visible to everyone within range.
At some point this has to be placed in the blockchain to prevent double spending. How are you going to do that without electricity?
Why no electricity in the first place? You are using it every day to access the Internet why all of a sudden go against it being used to transfer money?
4304  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase Now Lets You Backup Your Keyphrase In Google Drive And iCloud on: February 16, 2019, 08:04:24 PM
I agree that it's a very bad idea. Coinbase also allows you to set up a cold storage for your coins which is giving you a false sense of security. If you keep anything online and it can be on an exchange or on a cold wallet managed by this exchange or on their cloud it's never secure! It may be a bit more secure if you compare this to some smaller exchanges that don't even know what a cold wallet is but it's still dependent on the people running said exchange.
4305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DUMP CENTRALISED CRYPTO !! on: February 16, 2019, 07:09:45 PM
I don't support shitcoins and bankster coins like XRP. They shouldn't even be called cryptocurrencies. They are nothing but tradable tokens, just like casino chips or gift cards. A cryptocurrency is much more than a token backed by a company that can do anything with it.
Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin don't depend on people like Ripple CEO, they don't depend on the board of directors, they aren't premined and held hostage by a group of "founders" and they aren't used to pay employee wages.
4306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The HODL meme and its impact on Bitcoin on: February 16, 2019, 06:59:51 PM
Hodling is a great strategy if you started years ago when the term was really popular. If you got your Bitcoins below 1000 dollars you are in a great shape and will profit from hodling anyway. Should you choose hodling or trading if you bought cheap? I would recommend hodling because you don't risk anything by doing it. You are earning money anyway from altcoins that are given to Bitcoin holders like BCH, SV, BTG and many other and you're not selling for fiat and don't have to pay taxes and worry about the price.
4307  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-14]JPMorgan: Bitcoin Price is Now Lower Than Cost of Mining One BTC on: February 16, 2019, 06:40:28 PM
If they think so it would be profitable for them to start buying. What is JP trying to achieve here? Make people start buying, or maybe scare them away from Bitcoin by making them believe that miners will soon shut down all at once because it's not profitable to mine?
None of the things that JP is talking about is being said without a hidden purpose. They bought and want it to pump or they are waiting to uy and want people to dump.
4308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about the next bitcoin halving (cool infographic) on: February 15, 2019, 06:52:37 PM
Most of the time, block reward halving on cryptocurrencies have been associated with greens but 2014, 2015 and 2016 halving brought nothing but disappointment for users. Anyway, another fun fact about block reward halving that I saw on the bitcoin wiki:

It was because there was already a halving in 2012 followed by 2 big bull runs in 2013 one in spring and one in winter. You can clearly see that the hype was there right after the halving just as it was supposed to be. 2015 was a very strange year because it was the year when China banned bitcoin exchanges and there was a lot of negative impact after gox bankruptcy.

2016 was not a disappointment by any means. If you bought in September for 500 dollars you could sell in December for 1100. Is doubling your investment in 3 months disappointing?
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: porn/sex industry and cryptocurrency on: February 15, 2019, 06:05:32 PM
Why doing this kind of coins, there are so many free porn website on the internet. I think, that is a waste of time, that's why more of them(project) are already dead. Go find brazzer and camfrog if you want a real sex chat live.

Not many people buy pornsite subscriptions but tipping on live cam shows is pretty popular. If there's a use for a sex oriented crypto it's there because not many things can beat the experience of a person you like physically doing things on request live.
The better question is why would somebody use a new altcoin for it when there's anonymous monero.
4310  Economy / Economics / Re: JPMorgan Launches JPM Coin, World’s First Bank to Launch Cryptocurrency on: February 14, 2019, 10:46:24 PM
Maybe not so fast JPMorgan will create this coin..

https://i.imgur.com/fBUkniS.jpg

I don't know what kind of patent have Dr Craig S Wright, but this story is taking on more colours  Cheesy Cheesy

Fuckface probably forged those patents in his room. I don't believe he has any real patents that we should worry about. I don't like Jamie Dimon (JPM) but even he isn't as retarded as Craig Wright (BSV).

JPM has the right to create their own altcoin like everybody. Nobody cares. The Internet doesn't forget.

He's a known forger of documents and a liar. Till this day we haven't seen Satoshi's coins move and Craig is broke despite claiming to own more money than a country he was speaking in. It's all smoke and mirrors with this guy

Even if JP makes a coin who is going to abandon their cryptos to use it? Is any of you going to choose JP coin over Bitcoin? I think that bankster coins are doomed.
4311  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-10] Bitcoin to Rise 84% in 2019, Bitcoin ETF to be Eventually Approved on: February 14, 2019, 10:36:55 PM
Those prices are quite modest, it should be a lot higher by the end of this year. They are underestimating the power of the FOMO when the institutional money starts to flow. As soon as a pump begins people will rush back in as they always do

The magical and mysterious institutional money that were supposed to be flowing into crypto since 2015. Wasn't the recent ATH reached without these institutions? Why aren't they investing when Bitcoin is at -85%? I'm not bearish on crypto but I don't see it happening anytime soon and I don't believe we'll reach even 10000 dollars this year. If we go back to the mean of 5000 it's going to be a big achievement.
4312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What made you fall in love with crypto? on: February 14, 2019, 10:19:32 PM
I am not in love with Blockchain or crypto currency because my money is very important to me
stop falling in love with projects and cash out anytime you get your profit

So you're in love with your fiat money. That's sad really.

I fell in love with crypto when I compared it to traditional banking. I know that in crypto my money is much safer and easy to control. If you're only here to make more fiat money and don't care about other aspects you may find yourself in a bad situation one day when all your fiat gets confiscated.
4313  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Quadriga CEO death, Is it new scam in crypto on: February 14, 2019, 09:53:10 PM
And now most of these exchange operators that has some shady ideas will start to think about this incident. I also felt sorry for those people that believed and trusted them their money.

I don't believe he's dead.

If the news about them sending 100 BTC to the dead CEO's wallet after his death are true this just has to be an exit scam.
A big amount sent to the death owner's wallet? sketchy.

Yes, very sketchy. According to the article it happened a week ago. The exchange claimed they don't have access to funds because only the dead CEO had all keys and passwords and they somehow managed to gain access and what did they do with it? They sent money to the dead CEO's address! Why isn't the police there already arresting these fraudsters?

4314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democracy Yes OR No ??? on: February 14, 2019, 09:45:50 PM
Democracy is the government of the people for the people and by the people, in a Democratic government the people are at the central of the whole process and they decide who govern them. The people hold they representative accountable for they action either good or bad.

I wish it was like that. In most countries you democratically vote for your representatives who feeds you lies before the election and later fail to accomplish anything but it's too late for you to change anything. The only thing you can do is wait for another election and vote for someone else who will repeat the same promises and again show you the middle finger once he gets elected. The beauty of democracy and voting.
4315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2019, 10:57:07 PM
Regulation can have both good and bad effects. On the one hand, it can attract new users, but on the other hand it can bring strict rules that will create inconvenience for cryptocurrency users.

It attracts some and scares others away. I don't like KYC and used to run away from exchanges that demanded too much. Some want you to make a selfie holding your ID or some other ridiculous things like going to a video conference with them to prove that it's you. I have not been asked for such things when I opened a bank account and suddenly exchanges are starting to demand it.
4316  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Quadriga CEO death, Is it new scam in crypto on: February 13, 2019, 10:39:02 PM
If the news about them sending 100 BTC to the dead CEO's wallet after his death are true this just has to be an exit scam. Probably his wife has access to the wallets and sho is draining everything she can put her hands on. The worst part is he will probably get away with it in the end because who is going to be tracking him in India?
4317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kid should start earning bitcoin as young as kindlegarden on: February 13, 2019, 10:32:08 PM
If people follow OP's vision we won't have any more "slaves" like doctors, architects, mechanics. All we'll have is speculators trying to earn more cryptocurrencies to later dump on the market to pay their bills and buy lambos. What a great world it's going to be! Cheesy Children should go to school and learn to have deep understanding of the world that surrounds them. Investing comes later.
4318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did we get what we asked for - less Bitcoin volatility? on: February 13, 2019, 10:22:16 PM
What do people ask? it is all about the bull run and nothing more.
But people is not that good, they are on panic (mostly)
but what do we really need? it is not the bull run or what, all we need at first is just the knowledge to use in cryptocurrency.
Bull run is what we want to take profit, and yet its not happening though the price looks stable right now but still not guaranteed that the volatility level was lessen. We need to be patience, and knowledge is also important so we can understand why bitcoin needs to dump in order to achieve a brighter future, the best price is soon to happen.

And it won't happen because you are trying to take profits. This attitude makes you sell whenever there's a small bull run and price goes back down. The speculators who want to earn some fiat money on bull runs are the reasons these bull runs are so small and insignificant. It won't change until you start thinking about long-term profits.
4319  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-13]Bitcoin ETF has a Hope as SEC is Open for Innovation on: February 13, 2019, 10:18:31 PM
Hester was a supporter of Bitcoin for many months and couldn't persuade the rest of the commission. Will she be able to do it now? I really don't think so.
I know the ETF will at some point have to be approved but I also know the SEC consists of ordinary people who also want to make money. When they decide it's the right time they will tell their family members to buy bitcoin and approve ETF to allow them to profit on it. If they aren't approving it now it's not for the good of the people but for their own benefit. They want to buy as cheap as possible.
4320  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Exchange Sent $370K (Bitcoin) to Dead Owner on: February 13, 2019, 10:06:40 PM
Quote
According to court documents, it is unknown who undertook the transfer of the bitcoins.

WTF? Does this mean everybody in this bloody exchange have access to wallets? How can they not know who did it. In every single institution I've dealt with you have your private login and password that you have to enter to access your company account even if you only want to check your schedule or read notes. There should be detailed logs of active employee accounts at the time of the transfer.
