4301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: April 19, 2020, 12:18:58 PM
If these were some domestic club cricket with local player then it was not a big deal but when it involves international players then yes it's not very easy. By the way, although no one knows which way we are moving (pandemic crisis) but November and December seems very reasonable time frame. I hope by then we will have normal lifestyle.

Too early to say that. Even now, the number of cases and deaths are increasing with every passing day. I am getting more and more skeptical as time passes by. Some of the experts were claiming that the pandemic would slow down when the summer season starts. In the Northern hemisphere, the summer season has started, but the infection continues to spread.

This caption is very strange. How did Srilanka win the match by default ?
They played a better game and won it through their hard work and not by default.  Cheesy

No need to feel bad about the terminology. That is a standard one. The match was abandoned due to crowd disturbance and Sri Lanka was declared as the winners, since they were ahead as per the Duckworth/Lewis rule. Back then, it used to be very difficult to control the crowd. After a few such incidents, the BCCI ordered the construction of barricades around the stands, and these sort of incidents never got repeated.
4303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Well Organized Scam Projects on: April 17, 2020, 01:10:08 PM
short-term projects are also very good and can bring big profits to investors. it is important to evaluate the marketing strategy of the project as well. if it is at a high level, then a project that will exist for 2-3-4 years can bring very good profits to its first investors

I wouldn't investing in any altcoin project for that long. You need to book profits within 6-12 months and pull out most of your investment. You may decide to keep a certain amount for the long term, but I would advice you to keep the proportion low (somewhere between 20% and 30%). There are multiple risk factors associated with these projects and it will be better if you don't associate with them for too long.
4304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: April 17, 2020, 01:03:24 PM
According to the directives from the Home Ministry, India have been divided in to three zones. After the current lockdown is complete, indications are that the restrictions will be completely lifted in the green zone (which include districts such as Trivandrum, Shimoga, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Nagaon.etc). Is it viable to schedule the IPL in these rural locations?
4305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: April 17, 2020, 12:57:31 PM
Today I noticed that the circulating supply for Tether has increased very significantly. A few backs back, the total market cap for USDT was somewhere around $4.5 billion. When I checked coinmarketcap today, they were displaying a figure of around $6.4 billion. This sudden increase makes me even more suspicious. I have never trusted Tether, especially after the USDT-Bitfinex scandal.
4306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 17, 2020, 12:49:59 PM
Australia is much better when we compare it with the rest of the world. Only 6000+ cases for Australia means they they have implemented good lockdown and awareness among the people.  Still i think T20 world cup will not be  possible for them to host this year.

At least during the initial months, the Southern hemisphere was not much impacted by the pandemic. But now the situation is slowly changing. Some of the fastest growing outbreaks are in countries such as Brazil, Peru and Ecuador. The Australian government deserves a lot of credit for announcing the lockdown so early. That prevented a lot of deaths, although there was a lot of economic damage.
4307  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: April 16, 2020, 03:45:01 PM
That's all government policy with a pandemic like this, we don't have the ability to fight. a large portion of a country's economy will be shaken by the existence of such a pandemic with the presence of covid-19 which is experienced by almost all countries. all will compete to find solutions in finding medicine

So far, there is no medicine or vaccine available so the treatment is done based on the symptoms. Even if the pharma giants come up with a new medication, my guess is that it may take anywhere from 6 to 18 months, to get through the testing and regulation phase. So don't put your hopes on any miracle cure appearing overnight. The only way to get around this is to stay at home and to practice social distancing.
4308  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 16, 2020, 03:37:25 PM
There is no doubt that in the near future China will become the largest economy in the world, overtaking the United States. But that said, the COVID 19 outbreak will have a limited impact on this future course. The pandemic has affected both China and the United States. China was able to control it, but after many months of herculean efforts. It caused huge economic damage there was well.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: April 16, 2020, 03:33:03 PM
You should chose the one that suits you better. Bounty campaigns take a lot of time and effort and they may last as much as 6 months. So join them only of you have the patience. No such effort is needed for airdrop, and registering for an airdrop takes just 2 minutes. But then, potential earnings from airdrops can be much lower when compared to the bounty campaigns.
4310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 16, 2020, 03:14:25 PM
Australia has done a great job at keeping the corona virus under control so far however winter is coming soon which could cause the virus to spike but as the country is in lock down it should help steam the cases in winter. Why I say this is because it could be a good sign that the T20 world cup will go ahead as planned if Australia can keep the virus under control.

Dude, are you from Australia? I heard something crazy about that country and perhaps you can verify it. Somewhere I read that a 6-month lockdown was implemented in Australia? Any truth with this? And I checked the stats about the latest COVID 19 situation. Australia is not faring that well. Despite whatever lockdown they have, till date they have 6,500 cases, increasing at a rate of 40-50 per day.
4311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: April 16, 2020, 03:06:59 PM
What do they mean by the term "indefinitely"? Are they going to "indefinitely" postpone the tournament? If that is the case, then why can't they announce that tournament is cancelled? There is no improvement in the situation here in India and even today we are having more than a thousand new cases. The number of new cases are increasing on a day by day basis and from 20th April there may be another major spike thanks to the relaxation in lockdown.
4312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: April 16, 2020, 02:48:30 PM
I think this is a simple situation, whenever a bounty group is dead. It literally means that the bounty management team cannot attract projects to promote
and also cannot attract bounty hunters.

It happens most time, when there is greed.

To their credit, I have to say that being a bounty manager is one of the toughest jobs out there. I know a few bounty managers, who had to deal with unruly bounty hunters on one side and scammy ICO promoters on the other. If something goes wrong, the blame always fall on the bounty manager and they will be pasted with red trust. And this has happened to a large number of bounty managers, even after putting a lot of hard work in managing the bounties.
4313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: April 16, 2020, 02:42:07 PM
Do gambling affiliate is good while you gamble but I think it still need some diligence to get people join your referral, but it's worth a try if you know you can get some.

Most people actually gamble just small proportion and it is not really worth it, unless you can really get one "real gambler" as your affiliate then dont really waste your time on that

Around two years back, I was a part of a signature campaign that used to pay for referrals as well. I didn't got a large number of referrals, but if my memory is not wrong, then some 5-6 guys signed up using my referral link and I got some mBTC for that. I don't know whether there are any campaigns now, which pay for referrals. But if you have large number of quality posts here, then referral income can be substantial.
4314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: April 16, 2020, 02:36:20 PM
Now every new project KYC is mandatory for all investors and bounty hunters this is another big threat to all. If I was the controller I must implement the rule" when a project succeeds and go live in go market then ask for KYC otherwise no KYC by Investor and bounty hunters" and you all know weel 80% project failed but they collected all your precious data.
Yes, it is true that KYC is very valuable data and it will be very dangerous if investors and hunters give it to unclear projects, but at this time not all projects require KYC for hunters, but it is required for all investors.

The current KYC method is wrong. The promoters want others to send the scanned copy of the passport or the national ID card. These are very confidential documents and you should not share them with unknown people. At the most, they can ask for telephone verification. I understand that many of the hunters own 2 or 3 mobile phone connections, but if this is made mandatory, then 99% of the instances of scamming can be done away with.
4315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 16, 2020, 02:30:19 PM
Giving what they want is very little to the casino because they are earning a huge profit daily. But giving full salary is not good better to provide what they need . Or half of their salary daily in the casino because right now are in the situation that we need need each other.
I hope the decision of the casino owner will help their workers and help them and others too.

Casinos are just like any other business. You and me can ask the owners to be a bit more generous, but there is only a small chance that they will listen to what we have to say. When the casinos operate in profit, the workers also benefit out of it and they get generous bonus and allowances. But in hard times, the workers may have to contend with reduced earnings, just like the case with any other sector.
4316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to keep life savings more secured on: April 16, 2020, 02:24:08 PM
I am using Blockchain.info for storing my coins and for the past 3-4 years, I never had any issues with them. Obviously, it is an online wallet and some of the users may claim that I should go for a hardware wallet. But in my opinion, an online wallet is good enough if you follow all the basic precautions such as email confirmation, 2 Factor Authentication and mobile authentication.
4317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: April 16, 2020, 02:18:29 PM
This 40-45% looks to have some value. In 2016 Trump had 46.1%, Hillary 48.2%.

This time the gap is going to be much wider. And in 2016, third party candidates hurt Hillary much more than Trump. Gary Johnson got 3.28% and Jill Stein polled 1.07%. Johnson got his votes in deep red states such as ND, AK, OK and deep blue states such as NM. But Stein got her votes in swing states. There is still no clarity about the third part candidates for POTUS 2020. They can have a huge impact on the fortunes of both Trump and Biden.
4318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTY PAYMENT MATTERS on: April 15, 2020, 03:11:10 PM
LOL... this has been posted here dozens of times before, without any response from the ICO promoters and bounty campaign managers. They can afford to ignore such demands, because they know that even if they do that, they will get large number of bounty hinters joining the campaigns. I have said this many times... the problem is that we don't have unity. We need to boycott all the bounty campaigns, until the terms and conditions get better.
4319  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-13] Coin Mixer’s Record Month Proves Bitcoin Users Want Anonymity on: April 15, 2020, 03:05:43 PM
Governments around the world are becoming more populist and moving to the Socialist mode. They want votes from the welfare rats, at the expense of the hard-working population. This phenomenon is occurring in almost all the continents. And the problem with Socialism is that within a short time, you run out of rich people whom you can loot. All these rich people would either migrate to some other country, or they will become poor after losing their wealth.

The tax authorities are obviously afraid of mixers, because they give an option for the Bitcoin users to refuse unjust demands from the IT department. Let's see for how long they will tolerate them.
4320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 15, 2020, 02:58:26 PM
All the mobile apps can be misused for scams, and Telegram is not an exception. The reason why we use Telegram is that it gives a higher degree of privacy and anonymity, when compared to other similar apps such as Skype, Whatsapp or Snapchat. Unfortunately, this same advantage can be used by scammers for their criminal activity.
