yeah no question I trust bitmaintech more then I trust jack and co.  but  I may have to buy from him.  I will sit  out for a bit.

I don't want anymore s-1's and 1909 usd is steep for 1th .

it  is close to the summer so low  amounts gear In my garage is fine. Hosting makes  more sense for me.
43062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LIGHTNINGASIC LA75M,75MHS SCRYPT Miner, USD8800; LA1THS, USD1950.shipped out!!! on: May 26, 2014, 05:26:23 PM
okay  I am at your website   ..   would order 1 of these  and let you host. I don't see a hosting option.  and I don't see when you start hashing if I let you host.

43063  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2309 USD for 1TH/s on: May 26, 2014, 05:08:51 PM
thats twice the price has gone up in the last 3 days...

why not just charge in BTC??

Its disgraceful keep changing the price so we can hardly earn a satoshi no matter what the  BTC price does!

They do charge in BTC.  They only quote in USD, (and BTC right next to it).  The price is dropping.  Right now they're at 3.961 BTC.  Just earlier today they were at 4.02ish.  They cost less today than they did two days ago when I bought mine.  How hard is that to comprehend?

And before you say that if you buy in fiat the price has gone up then let me just counter that by saying that if you start mining with one you're also going to make more fiat than you would have done as well.  You can't have it both ways.  You either price in BTC and the cost has gone down while the earning potential remains the same, or you price in fiat and the cost has gone up but so has the earning potential.  Take your pick.

who said it was hard to comprehend?

if the USD price had not been raised AGAIN - the BTC price would actually be reasonable rather than STILL disgracefully high

duh
I have to side with you.

Also right now asicminer new gen gear is selling at 1170 usd for 800gh

so do I want to spend   2309 usd here (well 1909 usd after coupon)  and get a 1000 gh unit or do I want to spend 1170 usd and get an 800 gh unit.

I have to add a psu. I have one.

I have to add a rasp Pi  so  for 1230 usd I get  800gh vs   1909 for 1000gh

This is very simple if the new asic miner 800 gh machine is good these s-2's are very overpriced.
43064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.422 BTC for 180GH/s on: May 26, 2014, 04:57:11 PM
BTC value has increased about 20% the last week, why did the price not drop by that percentage in btc?

I calculated over and over again, with kwh @ 0.27€ and diff increase 15%, the S1 will never ever make the btc back you invested if I have to pay monthly the electricity from mined btc.

What did I wrong? Why should someone buy S1, at least in germany it's just stupid?

you are apply wrong mathematical techniques  for your calculations  as many people do not understand all the variables involved.

BTC roi has no meaning if you purchased the btc with fiat.  the fiat price has the meaning.

 ____________________________________________________________________________
Also   who cares if you do a btc roi

in this case.  I buy today  at .419btc  use a coupon pay .369 btc.

I buy the btc from an exchange today  at 585 usd.

 My fiat cost was  .369 btc x 585 usd = 215.86 usd.

I setup a dedicated account at btcguild.  all btc and nmc goes to it…….

BTC crashes drops to 100 usd.  difficulty drops like a mother fucker.
when all is done my machine mines 3 btc and costs me 1btc in power. net of 2btc

so I kicked ass in btc roi I turn .369 btc into 2 btc .

I whaled   but wait my fiat  was  215.86 usd my fiat now is 200 usd
_____________________________________________________________________________
think this can't happen it can  ..

if btc price drops a lot big time minign will stop and diff will drop.

So do not lock yourself into btc roi.  your calculations need to take a lot into account.

1)btc roi

2)fiat roi

3)heating bill reduced  if you use a space heater in the winter.  you can turn on an s-1 instead.

4)So s-1's can be stored if they do not make any money in the months of August, Sept.  then in OCT turned back on.

5)Undervolt/underclock makes extra money

6)  rising btc price allows  for power to be paid off and sometimes the price rises way faster then difficulty.

7) using an s-1 in a space with 'free' power  Or in my case  I can use 800 watts and pay for only 200 watts.

So an s-1 cost me  only 4 cents a kwatt.

I give a +1 to zoomhash_michael

I've really busted their balls in the past but Michael always came though.

they'll take good care of you.

yeah I ordered  two blades from them and 20-30 5 chip units from them.

The first blade came on sat the 17th  of may   it runs wrong.  1 part does 2.3-2.6mh  no issues or worries.

the other part does 1.4-1.7mh  I know he is busy but I hope to hear from him on  a credit  for this .  maybe 20%-25%  or around 200 usd store credit.

 this is the problem

I tested high end seasonic  psu with good plugs  switch the power switched the  mining pools and the blade side that powers the fan runs short .

With a store credit I can just order other gear.  I could order 2 or 3   five chip units from him   I am short about 1.2mh

3 of these  fixes everything I hope he reads this soon.

A second blade is on the way I hope it works better.

43067  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: 【LIGHTNINGASIC GROUPBUY】1.5TH - 2500 USD - FREE SHIPPING IN 48 HOURS on: May 26, 2014, 11:27:50 AM
Seems to be only 1170$/piece on the website.

How does hosting work? The electricity price in convenient but do I have to pay for a PSU and ras PI?

The price at 1,5$/ GH is on par with Bitmain, maybe more expensive if you factor in the PSU and PI. The hosting is nice, although this company does not invest enough in public relations.

Maybe selling miners is their secondary business. I understand that though  Kiss Why bother when you can mine.

No, u dont have to pay for PI or PSU, we take care of that.

So 1170$ for 800 GH (or twice for two as the thread says) and I don't have to pay VAT, shipment, PSU, ras PI and pay ~115$/month host. If you add remote access this is the best deal on the market and I'm up for some.

What you guys think?

I think you should see  if this thread sends at least 1 miner out that works.  If they deliver as promised the deal is good.

In fact I may buy 1 hosted myself.

dude, return this one as long as you are in the 30 Day Warranty Period. looks like the Blade is not running properly.
it should deliver out of the Box 5.2 without tweaking.

I will contact zoomhash  thanks.

The host fee of May(21/4/2014-20/5/2014) will collect, for management easily, the mail to collect host fee will send using leegroupsale.1@gmail.com
and the host fee need pay to the following address
16EK2Cg8eG51Q4yLTPiCysgeP7iUaUr4dE
you need reply the mail to confirm the payment and mark the exchange ratio of btc/usd you use
(real time exchange ratio of btc/usd from btc-e)

okay I will send in my fee .  I will send an email to ask you what the fee should be.

It was 225 reduced to 220.  Due to some down time that happened to all of us.

My miner has had a lot of issues since then and as of now it is fully down 0 hash.

1) If you could pm me what my usd fee should be since I have had more down time then the other miners I will pay you the fee.

2) If you could get my machine back up from 0 to 1000 please do so.

Thanks,

 Philipma1957

I am sending you 200 USD     we can figure out what the exact amount should be later.

here is the transaction

it is .348 btc  the rate on btc-e was 574.043

let me know when you can fix the miner as it is at 0 hash.

I have a lame situation and need advise. I've replaced the power supply in my S2 because it was shutting off all the time. However, I want to repurpose this enermax for a mid-range gaming PC. How do I go about doing that since there are no peripheral cables?

Buy PCI-E cables in a store, like microcenter
http://www.microcenter.com/product/318756/PCI_Express_6-pin_to_2__PCI_Express_20_8-pin_(62-pin)_Adapter
Thanks for trying but I don't see how that would help. I already have too many PCI-e cords but zero peripheral wires for hard drives, cdrom etc. I looked around for PCI-E female to molex adapter and even eBay didn't come up with anything. Essentially making this powerful PSU a piece of garbage.

enermax sells the exact cables on their website.
43071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: running a gridseed blade one blade runs low. on: May 26, 2014, 04:01:51 AM
I seem to be getting a better result with freq 700 and running ½ on wemineltc and one half on cex.io

this way I AM GETTING  1.8mh and 2.4mh  still too low    but closer to normal also dropped watts to 75  vs 91 when the two were at freq 850

at 75 watts for 4.2mh  i am pretty happy.  I will post on this in the morning as I am tired tonight.

to mods if this should be an edit to above post please merge.  it is a different day but not 24 hours.   thanks phil
43072  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Save 50% on PSU Costs w/ Gigampz: Breakout Board for DPS-800GBA Server PSU on: May 26, 2014, 03:37:47 AM
so   what does a pair of s-1's clocked to 393 freq  hashing at 400gh pull on a k-watt meter?    120 volt measurement please...  do you get 800 watts or do you get more like 840?

I ask because   3 of the above    could run 6 s-1's         at 393 freq.   with wires   you would be talking 250 usd.

now I can get  2 evga 1300 watt super nova 2  Atx psus.    they will run the six at 393 hash at 1200gh  and pull   2430 watts. all on 120 volts.

but on a best price offer 2 of these are 320   Newegg just had a special on them.

comes to 70 usd more.  the evga would be better only if    the hp's pull a lot more power.     the 320 price for 2 is hard to get more often the price is 340 for 2      even 380 for 2.

to make up 70 in price  if the hp's pull 2550 watts vs 2430 watts .  that is 3 kwatts a day.  or about 40 50 cents.     so in 140 days the evga would be better.    but that is only if the 3 hp's pull 2550 watts.  I would like to see one with a kwatt meter.

I owned one of the 750 watt dells I had the lessor model it used 460 watts to run 1 ant at 393 freq.  due to this I decided to buy a lot of evga's

but 460 x 6 = 2760 watts and you could run only 1.5 ants on a dell at 393 freq so I would  have needed 4 dells at 75 bucks or 300 up front.  to burn close to 2750 watts.

I got 2 evga's and burn 2430 watts .  I paid 340 for the two at www.raktuten.com   my point is these may work better if you want to run six s-1s then the evga's

43073  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - UPDATED - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 26, 2014, 03:26:26 AM
Important News:

As from May 31st 2014 we will cease with this signature campaign.
The reasons are as follows:
1) It simply isn't viable to continue with these high prices. The ROI is just not there.
2) It doesn't help, when the price of the btc is on the rise.

The Ritz Grand Casino does very well without the need of a signature program. In fact, the return visitors we get are incredible.  So we are here to stay.

Everyone will still be paid up until May 31st. You must remain with the program until payout day, (1st june) to be paid. We will still check on the posts

We would like to thank every one who has participated in our signature campaign.

Good luck to you all and thanks for your support.

Ritz Grand Casino

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also sad to see the campaign come to an end.  Nevertheless, I *do* have one question, can you clarify that you are still paying for all posts up until payday?  That is, posts between now and 1 June still count.  Can you confirm this?

yeah I see why you ask you are around 60 posts.  if you leave and go to up/down today and do 60 posts  with them it would be better then staying here and doing a few more posts.  I am at 300 plus so i am staying on.

up

price is high  3700 gets me 30mh

I can get grid seed blades at 700 each using a cc. so I have a safe purchase of tested gear 5 cost me 3500 and I am at 26mh.

your deal puts me at full risk of no delivery.
your deal puts me at full risk of poor rma support

I just ordered a second blade will stick with them.
43075  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: No Preorder, A2 Terminators 85-95Mhs Scrypt ASIC In Stock in LOS ANGELES on: May 26, 2014, 02:34:13 AM
so this cost 12000 usd.  It hashes at 88mh  and uses 750 watts to do that.

a blade is 750 usd .       It hashes at 5mh  and uses 90 watts to do that.

so 16x the price

about 17/18 x the hash

and 8.5 x the power

not bad could work.

43077  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Looking for Quiet Fans for Antminer S2 on: May 26, 2014, 12:58:12 AM
I can't tell you what fan to buy   because I do not know what fan you have.

your fan may move  up to 150cfm

so any fan that can not be close to your fans speed will kill the machine. or at least make it shut down due to overheating.

here is a long list of fans all 140mm most are variable speed only a few move more then 100cfm

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007998%20600035592%20600035655%20600035638&IsNodeId=1&Description=140mm%20case%20fan&name=Variable&Order=BESTMATCH

try to pick one of the ones with hi air movement.

But my machine has dropped down to 750 gh again.  please check it out it you will.

thanks.
i think maybe one of the hashing board of your miner have problem i will ask them to change one for you and open remote access to it as well

thank you.  that would be nice.

one blade runs low 1.7mh the other runs at 2.5mhz

I have used various psu's

I know it is not a lack of power

I use cpuminer freq 850 or freq 800   both show the one blade lower then the other.

Seems like some asics are not firing on the one blade.

does this mean rma?   should I do other mining software.

same issue occurs at wemineltc.com
