4321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whales keep getting richer and richer while everybody else is losing... on: November 23, 2019, 06:32:23 PM
The truth is that When you have lots of BTC in your account. You are never tempted to go for higher leverages like x25, x50. All you have to do is go for x2 or x5 and keep scrapping your profits even with small movements while for traders with less money in their accounts, they usually get tempted to go for higher leverages leading to liquidations.

If you look at the list of the Top 25 Traders by Notional, I doubt anybody appears on the list of the Top 25 Traders by ROE. But the striking similarity of the account naming style in both lists worries a lot  Shocked

4322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 23, 2019, 05:42:47 PM
Phew! Juventus came from behind to clinched on 3 points thanks to goals from Higuain (2) and Dybala. For a moment, I thought Atlanta will hang on to their lead considering juventus didn't really get in the game in the first half.  Thanks to the win, Juventus is niw 4 points clear on the Serie A table. I have a feeling they would the title again.
Honestly i couldn't believe Juventus would pull this one off given that Atlanta has been stubborn at times this season. I didn't want the second half but was surprised to see the end results.

Let's wait and see what Inter Milan can do.
4323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Put space in memo on: November 23, 2019, 04:58:39 PM
In blockchains like Stellar, EOS... a memo is a message embedded in a transaction. It usually in form of a text or memo ID. Exchanges usually use a few deposit wallet addresses for many accounts and the only way they can differentiate the deposits is through Memo IDs that correspond to different accounts.

So if the memo ID is not written right, there is a chance they won't be able to tell if the deposit was meant for your account. But i think you will be helped if the support understands the situation well and is lenient enough.
4324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 22, 2019, 11:59:06 PM
This fortuneJack Majestic is going really hard on me. Last week I had another 4 correct pick out of 7 and including this I had this highest 4 correct pick in four rounds! Too close to get 30mBTC if any time I could get 5 correct picks. I understand 5/7 or 6/7 or 7/7 is really hard but I hope some day I will hit one of it.

Last round, was very close for the 4th time!

Wooow if only there was away of tallying points for every week's correct picks. i think you would be somewhere near the top position for participants  who are in the forum.

Just keep trying, i know very soon you will get luck. I got 3 correct goal scorers last game week.
4325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tradesatoshi - BEWARE! Blocking without reasons. on: November 22, 2019, 11:25:06 PM
It seems like tradesatoshi has completely disabled the withdrawal of funds for all users. A lot of complains in their discord chat.
This is sad if it has happened.
I wish people were more vigilant when it comes to their funds. They would avoid such shit and scam exchanges and instead use much more established and legit exchanges.
4326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Asicpower Scam on: November 22, 2019, 04:45:05 AM
So many scam websites on the loose claiming to sell mining equipment. It would be advisable to check out legit and reputable websites that have been in business for a number of years rather than this brand-new websites with not even a single honest review.

Checking the domain information, the websites is barely 6 months old

4327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No, Bitcoin’s Circulating Supply is Not 18 Million on: November 22, 2019, 01:42:29 AM
This whole circulating supply thing is just misconception... Because, at the end of the day the so called number of coins that are in circulation is even much lower than people assume. So to me Number of Mined coins is not the circulating Supply

Also, You can't really know how many coins have been lost. Coins staying in the wallet for the last 6-9 years does not mean someone lost the private keys. Someone could just be having so much faith in bitcoin that they don't want to move the coins at all.
The circulating supply thing is just bullshit IMO, and we shouldn't care much about it.
4328  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Some problematic things about Coinbase on: November 21, 2019, 08:05:18 PM
Coinbase is a type of wallet where you don't have complete control of your funds. They could decide to lock it up anytime they want and ask for a KYC ransom in order to get back your funds.

It's the first wallet i got to know when joining the crypto space. In fact i even opened up an account with them but fortunately i have never used the wallet ever.
4329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with security! I learned my lesson. on: November 21, 2019, 02:11:12 PM
Sorry for your loss... Stay positive and just consider it as an expensive lesson learnt.

SMS 2FA is pretty weak. At least if you are to go for 2 factor authentication for your email, go for the strongest that is a available and that is authy or google authenticator.

Keeping your login credentials and private keys in email drafts, cloud storage like Dropbox or online notebooks is also not wise. Those are the first places the hacker checks out.
4330  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Emmpo.com [ Hyip/Ponzi-Scam ] on: November 21, 2019, 12:39:18 PM
I also realized that @hyipchecking is spamming the scam accusations board with his HYIP/Ponzi scheme posts... Just an indirect way of advertising HYIPs/ponzi websites in the name of 'honest reviews"

I am going to tag him too.
4331  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: November 21, 2019, 11:35:08 AM
May I participate in this campaign?

I've got negative trust because I made post in topic where talk about account selling,
but I'm not account seller.
The problem is that you showed interest in buying an account in the advert by even asking for the price. That's why you got tagged. I have a seen a dozen members get ejected due to red trust. Let's wait and see if you might get lucky.
4332  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: November 20, 2019, 10:58:54 PM
My account is not actually hacked. In addition, I do not violate neither forum rules, nor signature rules. I understand that my further participation is anyway at the discretion of admin. But, please, take into account what I said. Thanks.
Just saying that your account was not hacked won't save you from the negative feedback. Nobody is going to believe such stuff. Bring forth the evidence and  explain Why your account's posting styles and patterns changed instantly over the years.
4333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 20, 2019, 10:27:35 PM
New poll up.  Please vote or vote 'other' and post which club itt if you don't think it's either United or Real.  Poch is like the hottest managerial prospect in Europe right now.

I vote Man United.  United can't wait to kick Solksjaer.
I will go with the "Other" Option and that would be Bayern Munich since they recently sacked their manager and have much higher ambitions in European Football than Manchester United right now
4334  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: November 20, 2019, 09:37:15 PM
However, 5/7 has been quite common for some reason, there has been a lot of gamblers that actually managed 5 so maybe 7 is on the way, I don't know if there has already been one neither because we only know people here, maybe someone already got it?
I don't think we have a 1 BTC winner yet. If there happens to be a winner, I am pretty sure FortuneJack would come out and announce that someone won.

@SkySportsNews
BREAKING: Mauricio Pochettino sacked by Tottenham after five-and-a-half years in charge.
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/11865128/mauricio-pochettino-sacked-by-tottenham
So Spurs now have the balls to suck a man that brought back a little of glory to them like taking part in Champions League football without spending much on players?  Cheesy
I still feel such a kind of manager should have been given time... at least until the end of the season.

Who else thinks Spurs will just continue to crumble instead?
4336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestions for protecting your email privacy on: November 19, 2019, 01:17:53 PM
There have been cases when hacked two-factor authentication?
Its possible.
For example if you use the same password across all your accounts including your emails. The hacker could easily have access to your authenticator backup especially those that have cloud backup like Authy.

The best way is to use different random strong passwords for all your important accounts and the activate 2FA for all of them.
4337  Other / Meta / Re: The .com forum on: November 18, 2019, 02:06:35 PM
I think it was just a rival crypto forum created by someone over ambitious to out compete bitcointalk.org but things didn't work out.
DdmrDdmr did try to explore its past archives and it's clear the person behind it wasn't happy with how bitcointalk.org was progressing
I’ve taken a look at it in archieved pages to see how much the “.com” site has mutated over time. There isn’t really much achieved, and what is very often error pages.

I did find this curious page header of the ".com" site back in 2014 (completely different UI): https://web.archive.org/web/20140208014228/http://bitcointalk.com/
4338  Other / Meta / Re: Help my account got hacked I need help recovering it. on: November 18, 2019, 10:47:14 AM
I think OP is a victim of someone hacking his account and then getting it banned(via the ban evasion rule)
I saw details like the ones Yoshie posted but i didn't have enough time to through all the investigation but from what i learned the person who hacked OP's account had already been banned.

I believe he has hacked a couple of more accounts and got them banned too because as soon as the account changes hands you start to notice bounty applications using the same old telegram, twitter and Facebook usernames and  also starts posting regularly in the Sri Lankan local board
4339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is sharing number conformations required is a crime? on: November 18, 2019, 09:13:02 AM
The order with ChangeNow when through immediately but Changelly was struck. When I contacted Changelly they said the order needs confirmations. When I asked for number of confirmations required they said they can not. What is wrong in sharing the number of confirmations required? My transactions had around 210+ confirmations.

I have I transferred XVG several times and when I have so many confirmations and said they can not mentioned the number of confirmations that is required, I felt cheated.
This is very weird considering the fact that crypto exchanges are supposed to exhibit a certain level of transparency especially when it comes to transactions and confirmations.

My guess is there is a reason your balance does not reflect, and they are probably buying some time. I have never transacted using XVG and i have never used changelly but this could help you

Each transaction at Changelly passes three steps. Usually, our transactions take 5-30 minutes to be fully processed. If your transaction takes longer, this could be due to a variety of factors. To find out the reason of the delay, it is important to determine what stage it happened on. Go to your History page, find the transaction you have issues with and look at its status.

1. Waiting for payment
If your transaction is stuck at the “Waiting for payment” stage, it means that we haven’t received money from you, so far.

Why did it happen?

Blockchain overload. This is the most common reason for backlogs. You’ve sent money to our wallet, and now your transaction is in the queue to be broadcasted in the network. Just wait until your transaction shows up in the blockchain and gets at least two confirmations. As a rule, it’s enough for us to receive your coins.

Incorrect memo / destination tag / message (link). If you are sending us Ripple, XEM, Steem/Steem Dollars, Stellar or Decent (links - Currencies) to exchange, the transaction in your History page will have its unique memo, destination tag or message, depending on what crypto you are about to exchange. Compare them to the one you’ve already put in when sending the coins. It should match to the one indicated in your transaction from the History page. If you make a typo or input the completely another memo, destination tag or message, your transaction will not pass through automatically. To process it, you will have to contact our support team and provide all the payment details including your transaction ID on Changelly and a link to your transaction in a blockchain. Once provided, this data will be used to process your transaction manually: we will either refund your coins or exchange them at the rate relevant for the manual processing time.

You’ve sent your coins to a different wallet.

Other technical reasons. If there is no overload, and no other obstacles on your end, there are likely to be some technical issues in our system. You can wait until our tech team resolves the matter or report us (link) to learn more details about your pending transaction.

2. Exchanging
If the Exchanging stage takes more than expected, there might be due to several issues.

Market overload. You are buying crypto at the peak or significant uptick, there is a risk of exchange backlogs due to increasing demand. In this case, your transaction may be stuck at Exchanging.
Technical issues at trading partners. As you may know, Changelly works with large trading platforms. The robot selects a rate and processes your transaction via either of the platforms. On rare occasions, it may have technical issues and halt orders for some reason.
Both of these issues take time to resolve. If you suspect this is the case, you should report us, so that we can provide you with more detailed information on your matter.

3. Sending
Your transaction may be stuck at sending if:

The blockchain is overloaded. There are many transactions waiting to go through, including yours. This issue occurs on the Bitcoin, Bitcoin-based and Ethereum blockchains. Unfortunately, the only thing to do is wait it out. Changelly has no control over a blockchain overload.

4. Overall issues

The list of issues below may concern all the stages.

Coin under maintenance (link – Can’t see this coin in your list). If we consider some coin doesn’t work properly on Changelly or it should be updated, we can halt all transactions related to that coin. Once the coin is back, your transaction is automatically processed at the rate relevant for this moment.
Server DDoS attacks or overloads. Such things may happen to any service. If our servers are backlogged or down, you must wait until the issue is fixed.

Security reasons. We can halt your transaction if we suspect the fact of money laundering or fraud.

What should I do?
Take a deep breath and relax. If your transaction is stuck due to technical issues, then we are likely to know about them and make every our effort to make things work again. If you consider the delay is made by your fault, get assistance at our support ninjas.

4340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [QUESTION] Inquiry about Ivory Tower Rules. on: November 18, 2019, 01:20:28 AM
You have a right to wear your signature whenever you want and post there if your posts are of quality and on point. It's just that the signature you are wearing won't be seen when you post in Ivory tower because they were disabled there to avoid signature spamming.  So,  if you keep posting there, it means most projects won't pay you for the posts made there since the signatures cannot be seen at all.
No visible signatures = No advertising to them.
