4321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: September 10, 2015, 05:39:37 PM
Here's an interesting titbit - https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/3kckli/daily_discussion_thursday_september_10_2015/cuwsd0j

LTC/USD on Gemini. No idea if it's true but rather compelling if it is.

I dont really care about the LTC/USD

I look at LTC/BTC and i see a bit of bubble that needs to burst a bit before i buy.

It was pumped up too fast last winter and after it normalizes i will buy a lot of it.
4322  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: September 10, 2015, 05:38:20 PM
there is an awful lot of FUD out there. Bitcoin will not go to die until a better technology comes out or a fatal vulnerability is discovered.

There is already a better technology out, yet it still hasnt died. It has a charm by being the first crypto. People wont abandon it so easily, it's like your firstborn child. Would you abandon it for another child?
4323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 10, 2015, 05:37:05 PM
NXT is the 13th largest cryptocurrency, and it has well respected dev team and tons of support.

Now it has a pause period now, but if the work continues it will be worth x10 x100 x1000 more, if the people will like their new features!
4324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 10, 2015, 05:35:18 PM
Of course it is wrong! There is almost nothing benefieatial in gambling except from learning how
houses work, what a house edge is and how to calculate odds and house edge, and maybe some probability theory.
After that, you end up owning considerably less money!

Not all gambling games are against the house.

Poker, sportsbetting, event betting, etc. are against other people, and the house only takes a small comission there on the profits.

You can have real edge there. I heard that pro english horse-betters usually earn 50,000-100,000 pounds yearly just by knowing the horses throughoutly.
4325  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. [NSFW] on: September 10, 2015, 05:17:44 PM

How do you do it dragonbird, time and time again you post the best pics of this thread.
You really have an eye for finding the most beautiful asian girls and putting them here for us all to see.

He is a google wizard, he mastered the ancient art of using the search engine.

We shall all hail our wise master dragonbird.
4326  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin Makes Banks Obsolete on: September 10, 2015, 05:16:31 PM
Banks and bankers are ultimately too big to fail,
and governments will do anything they need to
in order to stay in business.
If the financial system starts moving to bitcoin,
then the banks will just buy out bitcoin
companies.

I`d be happy with that. It's better to have the banks as your ally than your enemy.

I have no problems absolutely with the banks, and this would be the best thing that could happen, to resolve this conflict in a civil way.

The best thing to do. It it will be the ideal choice if banks will adopt bitcoin as a currency with all the best it has. But I'm fear that this will fight the other currencies and it will not be possible. Only if the bankers find other incentives for the other currencies that can compete in some ways bitcoin.

I think the banks will like cryptocurrency eventually. They are already in this monetary system, gaining advantage of fiat, by printing it.

But when it collapses, the banks have to switch, to save their own businesses, and then it can come quite handy for a bank to be the first one to adopt bitcoin.

And politicians? They will love to get campaign donations via bitcoin, because it will be easier for them to raise money.

So its all set and done, its only a question of time until it becomes mainstream.
4327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: September 10, 2015, 05:13:53 PM
Finally the 0.07 lent to a friend come back with a 0.03 as a lending %. It's something.

Lol thats a 50% interest rate Cheesy

With that huge interest, its obvious that people can become rich.
4328  Economy / Economics / Re: My bank account's got robbed by European Commission. Over 700k is lost. on: September 10, 2015, 05:12:30 PM
A private charity system is 1900% more efficient than the welfare state, which has been proven and demonstrated time and time again. We capitalists do want to help the poor, but not by stealing from other people, but by empowering the poor people until they need it, and after that they become free of the shackles of poverty, and not becomes slaves to the welfare.

A private charity system does not work, which has been proven and demonstrated in the 1800's where the poor largely depended on large company owners and religious institutions to come to their aid.

Due to the human nature of the donor, he/she only wanted to give to certain poor who suited his vision of society. This gave way for all sorts of abuse by landowners and churches to try and convert people to live in model villages where for example alcohol was banned or they had to follow certain religious practises. Look up Port Sunlight in the UK and Boulder City in the USA. (Boulder City basically gave rise to the mobster run Las Vegas.)

Putting a large monolith like the state in charge of charging taxes and distributing it over a large part of the population according to policies set by elected politicians made wealth redistribution much more democratic and takes away the difficult choice on where to spend his charity away from the individual. Downside, a large institution has more overhead than the individual... but:

Many of you would not have liked to live in the 1800's where some nutter in charge had the power of forcing you to dress a certain way, cut your hair, telling you to marry instead of living together in sin or prohibit you from having a drink of alcohol when you feel like it.

We enjoy living in a free, secular society and sometimes forget there is a price to pay for a democratic system does does not discriminate against colour, religious choice, choice of sexual orientation, freedom of enterprise, ... Heck even sitting at home ranting on Internet forums all day ;-)

So, basic taxes are fine, too much overhead makes too high taxes and that is bad... find a middle ground

The 1800 was a vastly more primitive era to our current era.

We have today 1000000x more charities working than ever before in the history.

You can just go to http://www.gofundme.com/ and ask for a charity for whatever reason, and people will give you money.

If people were not forced to pay taxes, they would be even more generous.

=============================

You really underestimate the internet + cryptocurrencies. I tell you with these 2 great inventions, we can change society to a better one.
4329  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: September 10, 2015, 05:09:20 PM

Its just funny that in another thread a guy cried to me about saying that the new bitcoin implementations would push the transaction fee higher.

Oh, bot so now we are worried that it goes from 15k satoshi to 30k satoshi, how horrible is that.

Meanwhile with the banking industry you pay 400$ + 10% comissions on a large bank transfer.

These guys are out of their minds.I wish we only had to cry about a few satoshi price increases, but they fail to realize that the banking industry is way more expensive.

not all member here is like a big time who dont care about fee..
some member here do some faucet until now..its hard to earn 30k satoshi in faucet

But they get it into Faucetbox or Xapo, so the inter-faucet payment is free.

They only pay the fee when its withdrawn, and Xapo even covers those for you.

Small people should use those free payment processors.
4330  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin investing on: September 10, 2015, 05:07:20 PM
so, what id like to do is invest bitcoins to a stock or mutual fund account, but am not sure the best way to go about it. any tips/advice?

investing is the best way in bitcoin because you can gain a lot..
but its too risky .. but if you want to take  a risk try trading buy low sell try in alt coin..
then flat to bitcoin.. buy at low price and hold for a month or year.. you will earn a lot from it
gambling is the best way to those people who have a big capital and have a lot of money to gamble, not recommended to those people who only wants is to earn money, trading is not recommended too.

I think gambling is not even good for rich people because if they start gambling every day then soon they also can become poor  Wink

There was a movie where a billionaire went to a casino, and gambled 1 million dollar bets, and he won hundreds of millions, but the casino manager didnt let him take the win, he forced him to play more until he lost all his money.

I think internet casinos are more safe, so you can win, and they will let you have it.

I don't think quantum computers will render all encryption useless, though some algos may evidently suffer badly (if not most)...

It is just a matter of choosing (or developing) a secure algorithm

But you dont understand that quantum computing is an overhyped hoax, the matter is too unstable in large quantum blobs and it will cause "interference" up to the point where the information will break down into noise

There is a limit in the universe, how small data storage/efficiency can be, and we have reached that limit with possible nano computers.

4332  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: September 10, 2015, 04:27:33 PM
Keep this legendary thread bumping up,  this is epic thread!
Op now realize how precious bitcoin are.
Unfortunately i ddidn't feel bitcoin price on $1
in that time bitcoin price is just like that
so nothing is epic in this thread..

Yes but this is an epic event in the history of bitcoin.

If bitcoin becomes a global used currency, there will be history books mentioning the OP in 20-30 years.

This is almost like part of the bitcoin culture, it is an unlucky , but definitely an interesting event, that is also sad, but its also entertaining.
4333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you differentiate you portfolio? on: September 10, 2015, 04:24:36 PM
looks at coinmarketcap everything in red on the first entries, there is no need to differenziate when the less dead coins is bitcoin

i would go all-in with bitcoin, there is still much potential, don't get fooled by the xt crap and bad news, we can always recover

If its red then now is the time to buy lol, becaus its relatively cheap.

They are unlikely to go to 0, so you just found a cheap opportunity to get in.

I would personally not buy FUELCOIN, STELLAR, TRMB, YBCOIN and bullshit like that, but there are other interesting coins in the top 10 there that could have a future potential.
4334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Malware on: September 10, 2015, 04:21:18 PM
it happened to me about a hour ago but heres a guide on how to get rid of it if it is on your pc
10
Remove the malware
Finally remove it from your computer:
1.
Start Windows Task Manager and terminate the Chrome32.exe or
AcroRd32.exe process!
2.
Go to %appdata% in your file browser.
3.
Delete AppData/Roaming/Adobe (x86) folder.
4.
Delete AppData/Local/Google (x86) folder.
If you don't terminate the malware manually, as it is described
in the first point you can't delete one of the folder.
If you've deleted the Adobe folder it won't start again on your
computer, so you're good, but to completly remove it you have to
do one more thing:

Start the Registry Editor (regedit) and delete our software from
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ru
n"
If you don't find it, check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of
HKEY_CURRENT_USER

hope it helps this malware is being sold for $1.10 in bitcoin

This virus is just easier to bypass if you just encrypt your clipboard. Its a clipboard virus so if anything tries to modify it, it will be signalled as a modified encryption cant be decrypted after.

There are many tools that can help you with that, so you will be perfectly protected agains all kinds of clipboard attacks.
4335  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: September 10, 2015, 04:18:53 PM
In my opinion, bitcoin will never get again to 1000$, not talking about 10k. The world leaders will not let it happen, because all the paper money in the world will be worthless.

If some world leader hated the USD, he could easily try to undermine the USD by supporting bitcoin. If enough leaders think this way, bitcoin could easily go to the moon.  Smiley

There is no such thing as hate for the elite. They could hate it, but all their investments depend on it, so they will work to save it somewhat.

There are many rival currencies to the USD, yet none of them is working against it, because they all hold USD as foreign reserves, it would be a stupid thing to do.

4336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: September 10, 2015, 04:15:48 PM
Litecoin is a backup for bitcoin, as i view it.

If bitcon gets fucked by this blocksize debate, the most likely litecoin will take its place.

All merchants can easily integrate litecoin just like bitcoin, so the transition would be very fast.

that is pretty much it. with the second biggest blockchain and a solid community it has its place.

It is like Silver to Bitcoins gold  Smiley

(price goes up and down all the time. if bitcoin is succesful, Litecoin will be too)

Yea i`ll buy some more litecoins after the situation improves. But damn that bubble lasts a bit long (btc/ltc).

It should deflate soon and then i`ll buy some more.

4337  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoins has a great future in India? on: September 10, 2015, 04:11:24 PM
Well,, I guess if indian accept bitcoin, definitely there will thrive bitcoin
it all depends on the state regulation of india

India is pretty regulated, and a bit leftist.

But also there are zones there where people trade freely without much restrictions. I think in these zones bitcoin could become a bartering currency.
4338  Other / Meta / Re: Am I the only 1 get this problem? on: September 10, 2015, 04:08:49 PM
I also usually get an error like  "forum database error, please contact the admin if this problem persists", if i`ll get it again i will print-screen it.

It is much rarer than the 502 gateway error but it is still happening sometimes.
4339  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: September 10, 2015, 12:37:17 AM
That you can earn amazing amounts of money and nobody in the outside world can notice it. While if you have some business out there and start having some success with them, envy will flow to you, and everybody will know how rich you are.

Not just envy, but thieves and parasites too.

People have to realize that privacy is very important. You dont tell anybody if you got 10 kilograms of gold in your wardrobe, because everybody in your city will come and rob you. You also dont post on facebook how much cash you have in your house...

If you have obvious wealth then you need security too (guards, alarm system, fences, etc.), and need to protect what is yours.

Bitcoin really preserves privacy, or atleast partially.  Smiley
4340  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: September 10, 2015, 12:31:20 AM
Sorry but this Resource Based Economy is just a Marxist Delusion Fantasy.

There isnt a more efficient way to allocate resources than in the free market.

If you want to "control" the markets, then that implies that you are an "omniscient" person that knows the best for humanity and the economy.

Such assumptions are very imbecile, egomaniac, dishonest, and moronic. No human is omniscient, so fuck off.

Stop deciding for others, let everyone decide their own finanicials, and economic participation.

Fucking control freaks!
