OP how that comes you don't even have an ID card? I also find weird they opened an account for you without any Lol. What? The bank account creation process has been simplified with time thanks to digital apps and other developments which is why it is possible to create them in minutes and everyone can do it.
I know we all support crypto, but don't spread pointless lies just to make crypto look better in this aspect.
Fill in the form yes sure but that's not the point. The point is about the administrative papers required while you can't provide them. In the USA there are over 10 million of citizens unbanked, guess why?. I'm taking the US as an example but there are surely a lot of countries in the same situation. In our country, some banks (only selected few) accepts bitcoin as a deposit, they also process bitcoin withdrawal.
Can you tell me which banks?

No private keys, Not your coins! Given that the national central banks are subordinated to the ECB, 2 Italians MPs asked the ECB on the legal status of gold reserves in the euro area states. Guess what? The ECB confirmed its authority! "The ECB must approve any operation concerning the remaining reserves within the national central banks (...) as well as Member States' transactions with their foreign reserve balances above a certain amount" So Italy may be the owner but they can't do whatever they want with!

I would call it a small correction still... $500 within 24h while it was crawling at $4,000 not long ago and now up by ~50%. It's not a general trend as well. It's just happened yesterday, you never know what can happen this week, let's see how it goes. Anyway, I'm still happy lol, it remembers me 2017. Edit: see yourself, we're back to $7,400 right now. To the moon sir! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Interested. I'm using a banking app with a feature which could be compared to time-lock. But like with this app it's something I would set up for a period like 1-6 months since it's the average period I usually lock, I'm more interested based on a date rather than a block-height. I would not like it. I want to have full control over my Bitcoins and whenever I like to. Being forced is just not my thing and your project seems to do exactly this to limit you in spending your bitcoins.
He didn't say users won't have full control, and you feel forced to use such feature it means you basically don't need it. Secondly he doesn't limit you on spending your bitcoins, YOU do it

If you want to secure your crypto use hardware wallet instead of your mobile phone. I am really skeptical leaving my crypto in any online wallet esepcially in my phone. It is risky since I use my phone everyday and it might get lost (different in your case since you will not use your phone as you said.) But, if you really carw about your security better use hardware wallet.
But in his case we suppose he won't use it daily, it will be only a smartphone used for cold storage. @Nofearboy There are several like the ones mentioned here , it depends on what you're looking for. Also, there is a dedicated section for Android wallet ( Bitcoin Wallet for Android) maybe there are topics that will help you to decide. As long you don't use a hosted wallet you're fine.

$500 up and then $500 down during the last 24h. Wow, the good old days with high volatility are coming back? Sounds good to me. The price is still about +2% compared to yesterday, nothing to think about a correction, maybe in 6 hours we will BTC/USD $7,500. Let's see if the trend continues next week, also the 24h volume tripled compared to a month ago

There many interesting topics in the Economics board, (I like economy basically and sorry I'm not "an expert", just looking to debate with folks here.) the problem is people taking part in the topics trying to look like someone with MBA in finance while they just got their first saving account last week. We all have different background, culture, and lifestyle, it's interesting to share opinions but @Beerwizzard sums up pretty well

Mikeywith got rekt with the last stream of shorts , the bulls smashed my 6k resistance like it isn't there ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) , i was like hey bulls, can't you see the resistance? they happened to not give a fuck about it ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) but hey i can't be right all the time , simply because I don't have that crystal ball yet Don't worry mate, if we were right all the time the life would be pretty boring I think. And mistakes are needed otherwise we don't learn anything from our life. @extasie I said that finally, I think people don't care about Bitfinex... For the time being... Because it's just the beginning of the story. But what about when the American justice(the NY stuff, IDRC) starts taking concrete action against Bitfinex? Currently, it is just like an "announcement" in media.

What can you do when lawyers, judges and even police tells you that crypto is used for illegal purposes? I was scammed and then told to forget about my money because I was dealing in bitcoins which cannot be traced. The scammer gave a fraudulent contact number but still the police did not even want to consider it. With such an approach, I don't think bitcoins can ever be considered a trusted currency as anyone can deal in it and giving excuses of fiat money also having loopholes, we can't ignore the risk of dealing in bitcoins.
Then, you can always argue about the thousand of crypto companies operating fine and ask why they aren't shutting them down. Give exemples in your country if you have. Who says Bitcoin is a perfect currency to avoid scammers? Nobody. It can difficult to trace bitcoins and even more for someone/authority who are not trained with a new emerging technology. You told them yourself ("and then told to forget about my money because I was dealing in bitcoins which cannot be traced") Trusting a currency and trusting someone is totally different. You can trust your local currency and get scammed at the corner of the street.

Dollar surges for sure but the amount of profit is not even comparable to the profit they could get from Bitcoins also at the same time if they are thinking about investing in Bitcoins then it will be backed by a pretty big bear therefore it could prove profitable for not only them but for all of us.
Exceptionally if the market goes down again now then I think they will run away and won't think about investing again because no one want that volatile stocks , then again we just hope for the best but it might take them a while to make that happen because it's about a big governmental issue not something that's small.
Dude, it's fake news and it has been said several times, read the conversation, Russia won't replace anything with Bitcoin, the country isn't so crazy. The sum of profits, as you say, could also turn to be a loss for the country, which could result in a nightmare for the country's economy, investing is not done with free money. Governments aren't "designed" to invest in the crypto market.

To be honest people are already into the gold thing, honestly in countries like India people still keep gold as a storehouse of money , gold is essentially something that cannot be demarcated from the women essentially 🤣 as long there are people willing to buy and wear gold there will always be some value which accounts to he side of gold Also gold I don't know if I have ever heard it going back in value which would be major , it always went up the small downs are not something that can be accounted for therefore what I think is it will always have a place in investment sector and also people will actually start indulging in that more.
The case with India is a little different. Indian women are the biggest holders worldwide and from what I understood it's part of the culture there, so not surprising the households have physical gold. However, if you consider the average Joe from developed countries, not a lot of households have gold. Modern people enjoy gold only as jewelry or luxury objects. For me gold is similar with crypto but in the stone age. People will continue to use values in a safe and comfortable way so they will not be reorientated to gold or other expensive metals. There is perhaps nothing safer than gold.

This morning I checked the BTC price with my coffee and I said: "what's going on!" $500 during the night. And I was thinking about @mikeywith ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Yet, I prefer to wait a little longer. maybe once we hit $7,500 or $8,000. Which could be tomorrow lol. Since April Bitcoin is doing great during weekends.

It doesn't damage the crypto reputation, nor it helps with legitimacy. See yourself from the media and all the news published about BTC fraud, people don't give a fuck to it anymore. If it was because you cleaned the whole industry that would be something else. Legitimacy: At a large scale it can show to others that the community is ready to act to get a clean 'environment' but a single case, again people don't care.
Do what you think is your duty, no matter if it damages or helps.

Some exchanges work together (not officially) to track and lock hacked coins on their respective platform. A hacker knows it and wouldn't send the coins to an exchange. Not immediately at least. They didn't mention the exchanges used and I think there is a reason, a kind of ethics. Can't find a place where they listed the addresses, in the image it's shortened.
