4321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie's guide to avoid ICO Scam on: October 01, 2020, 11:07:36 AM
Although for some we may think that ICOs are already outdated but they are not. Projects in ICO are still existing but you can see a few of them go into success.
The new scam for these projects is now inlining with the Defi market. They can easily create a project and will just list it on swap platforms and it's up to them how they will do the trick.
4322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO tokens amount on: September 30, 2020, 03:41:24 PM
Welcome then.
As far as I remember, many projects did that. There's sort of soft and hard cap and whichever comes first, they'll have an extension and sort of promos just to get more investors breaking the hard cap that they've set. What I think is important is the truthness of your project. Think of it if after 2 years if ICOs are still up to date by that time.
4323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: September 30, 2020, 03:03:18 PM
In which part did those theories convinced you? I don't believe it is rigged and there's not that much advantage if ever it's real. I'm not thinking of something like this as if there's still mafia that controls the league or teams like to go through game 7 if it's likely to be ended within a straight game 4 series. There will be times that there are doubtful calls and actions from each player but I think it's really part of the game and also happens in other sporting events.
4324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to see if a new coin supports mining? on: September 30, 2020, 08:13:01 AM
If it's PoW, then it certainly is for mining. PoW means proof of work which is the same as bitcoin. And the easiest thing to know is to look to the official website of that coin and see if it's possible to mine. You can also ask their community manager if there's any through their social media channels.
If they have an established ANN thread, it's better because most details are there if it's mineable or not.
4325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ROPE On The Rise on: September 30, 2020, 06:15:48 AM
You usually find coins that are not very much popular. Are you investing on them before asking and sharing it here? I think with the trading volume that it gets daily, there's still possibility that you can make from it. But if everyone starts to dump, you should be quick to sell it and jump back to bitcoin or whichever capital you have used for buying this coin. I'll add more time of researching to coins that I'm not well-versed and don't have much knowledge.
4326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the digital gold narrative is incomplete or misleading? on: September 30, 2020, 05:03:40 AM
Thoughts like that naturally comes out when a person starts to realize those replacement, upgrade and innovation made by technology. Even as me, I thought of it before and you'll see various comparisons and description of bitcoin as the digital gold and potentially will replace in the future. But sometimes, those thoughts are going that much and becomes vague and ambitious due to the feeling that we're getting as someone who really likes bitcoin and being an investor/holder of it.
4327  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅Rounder Casino Poker Room 🏇$1,000 Weekly Race 💵75% Rakeback 🃏PLO4,5&6 on: September 29, 2020, 02:02:18 PM
Your title is a little bit misleading or I am a little bit lost because in your title it says that you are offering 75% rakeback which is pretty good if I were to say especially if it is available to all the players and not just to agents but I saw in your post that you are only offering up to 55% rakeback only, which is true among the two? Because I am an agent of a certain poker and I am a little bit interested to your offer which is 75% rakeback as I am getting 65% rakeback only. I am willing to transfer if I can get a clearer answer to it.
75% is the maximum, if you are quite confused with that see this table: https://roundercasino.com/vip-rewards/
But if it's still not clear, you can leave a message on that chat box or contact them through https://roundercasino.com/contact/

4328  Economy / Economics / Re: Rise in US unemployment. Thoughts? on: September 29, 2020, 01:15:32 PM
Only when the epidemic is completely pushed back will the US economy develop again. The US economy is driven by industry and services. As long as partner countries are also experiencing an epidemic, they cannot export to these countries. The industrial and service working environment require a large concentration of people, so it is easier to spread diseases. Recession will last until there is a vaccine for the world. The big economy has a more complicated way of doing things, the US is on a downtrend.
It's a pandemic, it's the whole world that's being affected by this virus. A little by little, some countries are opening their borders and making their economies lively again as they can no longer survive if they will continue to shut down their own economies through lockdowns. There is no choice but to reopen the businesses and get back in the schedule again. Those who have lost their jobs, if they can no longer go back to their employment, they have to look for a new one or get some side hustle.
4329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: September 29, 2020, 11:52:31 AM
I heard of cryptosteel where its fireproof and floodproof so that works?
Exactly, there's this thread[1] that's made to discuss storages like this. Fire proof and water proof.
[1] Store your bitcoin seed / private key safely (Water, Fire, Shock-proof)
My only strategy is the basic one, written on a piece of paper for the backup while keeping the paper that came from Ledger and keep it to a place that nobody knows.
4330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: P2P Coin on: September 29, 2020, 11:05:55 AM
Just launched a few weeks ago? I wouldn't judge it as a stable or steady growth within that period of time. There's not that much to judge it because the time that it has been in the market is still not that much. How you come up with this coin?
The name itself should be used as its basis, p2p, or peer to peer but is this coin being used like that? or it's just used as a coin to trade just like the other existing altcoins.

The common method to speculate on a certain coin that newly listed on the market is Fundamental analysis but on this project case. There website is not loading properly so no data available for this project to speculate. However, looking at the trading volume of this project, it has a daily trading volume of 54K USD which falls on a low attention project.

I dunno what OP see on this project that caught his interest. Maybe if he can specify it above then we can have any idea about this project.
Gone are those days whenever someone sees a project and describes it as hidden gem. As I say, it's hard to give that proper judgment for projects that were just launched lately. This project is lucky to have that daily volume after it was launched. I've seen a lot of projects that have died quickly after their launching. I'm also thinking there could be a reason why op sees this project and people who have found projects that we haven't seen, there must be something with them.
4331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I sell ERC20 coins? on: September 29, 2020, 10:26:56 AM
That's the problem, I don't have enough gas to send the coins I want to sell on other exchanges. That's why I ask if there are exchanges like etherdelta where I can sell the coins I have without gas, just need the private keys.
As you are about to send, you need to load that wallet with some Ethereum for the gas fees. Whether it will be in a centralized or decentralized exchange or wherever that erc20 token you have is listed.
You're still required to load it with Ethereum for the gas fees and if you don't or you have a little in amount, you're probably getting more problems with the gas fees and transfer delay.
4332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker started to eliminate tokens stolen from KuCoin on: September 28, 2020, 09:52:26 PM
Unless a hacker makes some stupid oversight, which is unlikely to happen, he will never be tracked down. It will work with decentralized exchanges.
Truth. The hacker probably is aware of that and won't do the same thing as the other hackers did when they were tracked down. But I'm still hoping that this casualty will be resolved and the hacker will finally get caught although I know that it's like one in a million chance to catch him if the hacked funds were already liquidated and went into circulation, replaced and converted into different assets.
4333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 28, 2020, 09:23:07 PM

Does anyone have an idea why he seems to be looking for matches against boxers?

That's purely because of money.

I 'll give you an idea how much conor made during his fight with Mayweather,

Conor McGregor Made 'Around' $100 Million for Floyd Mayweather Fight, Knows He Would Win Rematch

Easy money, right?
Yes, definitely easy money. Most UFC fans are missing him the way he is as a fighter in MMA not in boxing. But if that's his decision, it's all about business to him and we can't just stop him if he likes it this way and there's more money doing challenges and matches against the other genre of sports than what he's practicing for years. I wonder how much he's going to make for this match and if this clicks, there could be another match for him to make money again.
4334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT(NON FUNGIBLE TOKEN)... which are the best to invest in 2021? on: September 28, 2020, 02:01:41 PM
is there any project that will go up to Mars?
Haha, when someone asks this you should be more cautious when people gives you suggestion which coin they think that will increase. Before we have the 'when moon?' usual question, now we have the mars.  Grin
But anyways, still NFTs going to be the next probable trend after Defi but so far, I haven't seen anything that's going to be a big deal this and next year.
4335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A woman has been arrested in the United States for hiring a killer with bitcoin on: September 28, 2020, 01:22:15 PM
I was just watching about kinds of stuff like this on Youtube and she probably has been chatting with an agent. With the evil plan that she had, karma came to her quickly.

I hear that Bitcoin is use most in dark web for buying illegal things. Though I'm not 100% sure about that.  But in my opinion no one can trace Bitcoin transaction, this can be a reason why they use Bitcoin. But Bitcoin is not responsible for this. People illegal use and bad thinking responsible for this.
It is because it's untraceable and the girl was just traced through chat logs and on that log, there's the address indicated which led the investigators to an account on localbitcoins which had detected her.

On the internet we are giving a trace with the use of the different information we leave when we are using this do there is no doubt that the investigators will find out that mastermind which.
Yes. The investigators got the lead of tracing her and most logs and that's where it all leads everything. Those bitcoin addresses and the plan as in everything that in the chat logs are strong evidence to prove her plan.
Another reason why many still don't like bitcoin because of such news, they all think that bitcoin is just for this kinds of stuff.
4336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap $2 billion in total value locked on: September 28, 2020, 10:48:20 AM
This only shows that a lot have invested to decentralized finance and are okay locking them up to these platforms.

Nice to see the overall defi market is still growing and the other positive thing is that only quality and established defi projects are getting deposits while low quality projects are being ignored by the market.
Forget about those low quality projects. They have nothing to contribute and that's why they're being ignored by the community. As long as the project is being seen with potential, it will be noticed by most.
4337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 27, 2020, 10:13:31 PM
Conor won't make it if it's boxing, it's a different kingdom for him and he just can't take the people's champ. I'm not belittling him but this seems to be his business today and sees it more profitable than to fight in a UFC match.
Does anyone have an idea why he seems to be looking for matches against boxers? or it's just simply about making money for these matches as he sees more money in it?

4339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 27, 2020, 09:15:35 PM
How about going in Collectibles? there are various choices you can purchase there and they'll just ship it to you. Those physical bitcoins that has loaded bitcoin on it. I think they're going to be an amazing gift and will be much appreciated by your relative if you'll give it as a gift.
4340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend your cryptocurrencies? on: September 27, 2020, 02:15:39 PM
I have never given lend any Crypto to anyone as I don't have that much of crypto in my hand. But now I have some funds in my hand I will like to give lend for a good interest. I know the Lending board and I have borrowed from their 2times.
This style is better than you allow the exchanges to use your funds and be in there for so long. With this P2p lending style, you have your own funds on your side and you can choose whomever you'll allow to borrow funds from you. You alone are the exchange for those people who are looking to borrow crypto. Huge or small funds, you have your variant of borrowers and it's all up to you in which bracket amount you are allowing them to borrow.
DeFi system right? Now, this practice in high demand even the exchange like binance there is feature namely Bswap feature which can allow you to lend your crypto currency and you will get an income in it. I think this feature will develop in the future because there is no risk for everyone who use this feature. Moreover, the decentralized exchange like Uniswap may be in high demand even their own coins have a big price tag within a few days.
Those swaps and defi are very popular now. But just like the concern that we're bringing up, it's never safe if you'll just store it to those platforms if you ever are giving importance to your holding. It's a requirement for them to hold it but you need to think of it first before letting go your funds that will stay to them. There is still the risk and that is you don't hold your own crypto as you're lending it to them and its on their custody which is a requirement to use their platform and feature.
