4321  Other / Meta / Re: It's more than 10 years of data on: May 16, 2019, 10:06:32 AM
I changed the ban to 60 days + 1 year sig ban seeing as it's a post from years ago and you seem to have contributed decently since.
You can close this thread now buddy as hilariousandco did what is fair for him in this situation.
4322  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: VPN that accepts port 8333 and 9735 open on: May 14, 2019, 05:58:07 AM
Can someone recommend a vpn that lets me open the bitcoin and lightning ports?
You can literally do that with any VPN unless the provider mentions otherwise, you configure the settings in your router, make sure you identify the IP address in which your bitcoin core is running and make sure your make it the dedicated IP as you might need it when configuring the port, you can lock in your MAC address too and then under DHCP you can open 8333 and 9735 ports, make sure your external and internal port are the same, after all these configuration you can fire in your VPN and test whether it is connecting, if you are using a firewall it might restrict the connection, make sure you make an exception for the ports you are opening.

You can always refer to the tutorials in bitcoin.org for all your doubts regarding bitcoin.

Edit:
Thank you for the answer. Are you sure this is how it works? For example I use Nordvpn and it says they do not offer port forwarding.
https://support.nordvpn.com/General-info/1047408332/Do-you-offer-any-open-ports.htm
Most of them allow port forwarding but since you never mentioned your VPN provider which stopped providing that feature but still logs every user details  Cheesy, but with the providers that allows port forwarding it works fine and it is a simple process  Smiley.
4323  Local / India / Re: Anybody want to invest in coin project? on: May 13, 2019, 07:01:08 AM
I have gained international image in blockchain industry. Now i have plan to introduce a new coin. this will require around few of lakhs to turn into big sum project. I am ready to meet personally if anyone is intrested to join me.
Good luck with your international image in the industry, if you are planning to start something, why don't you describe your plan in detail and so that if anyone is interested they will contact you.
I suggest you to edit this thread and explain about the coin, if not it will be moved to trash.
4324  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Cloudbet Signature Campaign | Member - Legendary | Local Posters Wanted! on: May 13, 2019, 05:20:18 AM
Please look into the matter, most local boards, especially the Indian one has no mod so reports never get handled by global mods. So I had to post this here instead so the CM can warn its participants.
It is not entirely true, i understand the case about Saint-loup but i have reported more than 100 trash post in the Indian sub section alone after Benson Samuel was removed as the moderator and all of my reports were handled by the moderator in a couple of days. If you find shitty contents just report them and it will be handled by the moderators.

Edit:
If you find shitty contents just report them and it will be handled by the moderators.
It's not the right place to discuss this. But I have about 40 unhandled posts from Indian board alone.
You could have started a topic regarding this before posting here, instead you posted in this thread and then you started a topic regarding this but you locked it up and yet you did not delete this content from here and hence i was forced to respond here buddy.

Edit 2:
But I have about 40 unhandled posts from Indian board alone.
Since you said no one is taking care of them, i reported a few today and action is being taken, will clean out the entire section in a few days time. Wink
4325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 12, 2019, 03:24:56 PM
I missed the event completely but we now have a new champion in Jessica Andrade and it looked like she won it simply because of her brute strength and the way in which she slammed Rose Namajunas when she attempted a submission was brutal and Anderson Silva lost his fight due to injury and it was another sad way to go for a legendary fighter like Silva, he should retire from UFC, he might be able to show his skill set in other companies but not against top class fighters.

@sashi your predictions were spot on here, Anderson lost because of his leg injury and Jessica Andrade won because of her power  Shocked.
4326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Communities on: May 08, 2019, 10:03:27 AM
Guys, do you have any suggestion about how one exchange can gain trust into traders. It will be appreciated!

And do you know any crypto communities for Ethereum, exchanges, blockchain where I can talk more about our decentralized platform

--> https://weidex.market/   Smiley
To gain trust the best thing you can do is to be transparent, people are aware of the scams going around the market and hence the market is in a recovery phase it is certain that people will come up with new ideas to make easy money and scam innocent users of their hard earned money.
The market has seen enough scams and hence it is not that easy to built trust unless you are transparent about the developers and the team behind it.
4327  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance lost $40.7 million to hackers, which exchange is next!!! on: May 08, 2019, 04:39:20 AM
Hopefully the perpetrators will be caught and brought to justice. This is a reminder to keep cryptocurrencies off exchanges.
Billions of dollars are lost because of these hacks and yet not a single person was brought to justice and that will be the case here too, i wish they will refund the users, the same story repeats every time and hopefully their story of just a small percentage is lost is true, looks like they have halted deposits and withdrawals for now, only time will tell when they will be active again.

what i really do not understand is that when these huge amounts of withdrawals are executed how they are passing through the internal audit and many hacks in the past were not transparent, hopefully they will provide the details on how this hack happened.
I really do not think so you will get the entire story like the rest of the exchanges that were hacked. Looks like they have stolen the user API keys to execute these orders without signaling any alarm but i am not sure how they know how much amount per withdrawal will ring an alarm, internal leaks may be Roll Eyes.
4328  Economy / Reputation / Re: Overview of Fake Hindi Translators in the Indian Board on: May 07, 2019, 08:06:36 PM
I am not asking you to remove it. I was asking you for reconsider about my negative trust because you mentioned those evedence and now you are also saying that my translation is different from google translation.  Well I am being here to prove that I really did hard work for doing translation . I am not like other people making shitpost their and where. As I am full member on this forum and spend lot of time in this forum so you atleast consider about it.

I already contacted to JSRAW too but did not get respond from him yet. I hope he could give me atleast one chance for proving myself.
If you can prove that you are spending time to make the forum better i am sure JSRAW will consider your plea and replace it with a neutral rating, there is a lot of spam in the Indian board and i have reported hundreds of spam post, just try to take responsibility on what you did and make sure you correct it.

@Prateek88 We as a community is not thinking of isolating anyone who is helping the forum, but if the translation is done through google rather than taking an effort, it is not a good way to make things better, we just thrive to make the forum better and nothing else.
4329  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos is it true that you forced OG to remove Laudas tagg ? on: May 06, 2019, 03:53:59 PM
Theymos have full control over this forum, if he wants to see a feedback removed, he just need to click button "Remove" rather than wasting his time to blackmail feedback sender Tongue
If Theymos removes the feedback by himself, what is the point as the dispute stands, he wants to sort the issue between the disputing parties rather than fighting over and even if he asked both parties to remove the feedback by themselves  there is a point in his approach, to sort the issue. Wink

Will Theymos accept even if there is a conversation is to be seen, only he could shut all these speculations.
4330  Local / India / Re: Impact of Loksabha election on bitcoin price on: May 05, 2019, 12:05:18 PM
Impact of India and Indian election on the price of bitcoin or for that matter any alternative-crypto-currency is nothing but zilch. Yes, that is correct. Bitcoin and alt-crypto currency related communities, companies and trading-markets are almost extinct from India. Either majority of them have moved their base to other countries, where bitcoin is a legal, or shut down their business altogether.
India  had no impact on bitcoin globally and give current situation there wont be any in near foreseeable future as well.
There might not be much of a difference at this moment when it comes to the global market of bitcoin, but who would have imagined India to be a force in the IT industry twenty years back, i am sure no one would have predicted that, but it is a global leader in IT down the line and with the immense population , i bet it could be a major force in the bitcoin market too, the problem is the political parties without any vision and until that is sorted out there is not much hope.

On a funny note, there was an impact on the price of LPG, after the elections they have increased the price  Cheesy.
4331  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why did cryptodevil mark me red? on: May 04, 2019, 07:11:04 PM
I asked you mining is ponzi?
Do you really think that mining is that easy? you need to have a big investment to start something substantial to earn some profit and big mining farms usually spent millions to set up one and they do not start by collecting peanuts from the users who visit their site promising huge returns  Tongue, if you are not shelling out huge amounts it is a waste of money, you can be proud that you are supporting the mining echo system but you wont be getting any rewards, i was reading all your arguments about HYIP and Ponzi and the fact is all HYIP are scams.
4332  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post a Picture of what you think Satoshi the Creator of bitcoin looks like on: May 04, 2019, 03:32:02 AM
I can really picture how santoshi look, because there is no image of him on the Internet and his identity still remains unknown. But if one have to picture it in individual perspective santoshi really look like what you posted.
Just let the inner picture out so that the identity is revealed to the public  Tongue.

@ Bitinity, that was a cool correlation  Cheesy

Just posting a funny video which relates to the market rally we have now. Cheesy

PS:Saw this video in a bitcoin community  and sharing it here. Smiley
4333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Traditional Payment Processors on: May 03, 2019, 10:57:20 AM
It's been a decade since Bitcoin emerged as a decentralized digital currency for the people. While it's no secret that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrrencies have some drawbacks, they're still a great alternative to Fiat when it comes to making payments without a centralized entity in charge of our funds.

With latest advancements such as DAGs, smart contracts, Layer-Two scaling solutions, Dandelion Protocol, Zero Knowledge Proofs, and more, it's becoming more evident that crypto will someday replace traditional payment processors like PayPal, Apple Pay, and Android Pay. Yet, Blockchain technology is still struggling with user adoption and regulatory compliance.
The main draw back is to attract new users who are familiar with the traditional payment processors but they are not interested in the crypto market because of the difficulty to store or purchase bitcoin is a hurdle for any new user and if that can be sorted out then we will see more users using it as a payment processor, a few months back one of my clients did have a problem with his traditional payment processor and he was looking for an alternative and he was not even remotely not even thinking about using bitcoin as a mode of payment as he claims it is a big hurdle to explain that to his clients to pay through bitcoin because the hurdle to purchase a bitcoin for a new user is rather big and none of clients will be happy to spend time to learn about a new process.
4334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: May 01, 2019, 07:37:31 PM
How does MSD do it every single time? Sometimes, I still wish he remained the captain of the Indian team though Kohli is a good captain himself.
MSD is simply the best captain in the world and i am not sure why he is not captaining the team for the world cup, you could understand the contrasting difference when it comes to the difficult situation RCB is facing with Kohli as captain and how smooth sailing CSK is under the captaincy of MSD, i am sure the performance in the IPL has taken a toll on Kohli as a captain with all the losses he had and it might impact his performance in the world cup, MSD always produces magic in the field, the stumping to dismiss Shreyas Iyer was magical and i am not sure whether we will see a player like MSD, one of a kind player.
4335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi came out with bitcoin2.0 would you use it? let`s say he used his keys on: May 01, 2019, 07:52:08 AM
If Satoshi came out with Bitcoin2.0 would you use it over Bitcoin current client, if he advised you to and let you exchange your current btc into it? let`s say he used his keys to 100% prove it is the real person or team.
signed on the forum and signed with 2-3 of the starting wallets and genesis address  1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa
Even if someone is able to sign in with the genesis address and asked to convert the coins to their upcoming new coin and promises a better technology, no one in the right sense will do that as the market has grown to a point that it cannot be replaced in a short period of time, if it was the early days with a few users then there would be a possibility but not anymore.  Wink

This experiment was never about Satoshi Nakamoto, but rather the technology that was supposed to "replace" or "disrupt" the corrupt Banking system. Now Banks have started to use Satoshi's code against him, by creating their own "Blockchain" based coins.
What if Satoshi comes out and patents and copyrights his creation and ask for royalty from everyone who use them, then there will be a massive disruption  Cheesy Tongue.
4336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Couple Uses Bitcoin Wealth to Build World’s First Seastead on: April 30, 2019, 06:40:10 PM
well if there is fish, they can live until they die, and if there is no fish I am sure there is seaweed.
We are not talking about a scripted movie here to survive in the ocean with fish alone, for water they will bring purifier  Tongue, even if they are determined they have to somehow reach some shores to get the essential things for their survival, it is real life with consequences and i am not sure what criminal activities they did to be chased like that.

Quote
They should anchor in international waters and not even follow the laws of Thailand.
National security is the card every country will use to put someone behind bars if they cannot find any other law to hold someone back, be it whistle blowers or any other individual who goes beyond the normal criteria and even if they anchor in international waters they will be under custody and it is a matter of time how long they can play this hide and seek.

People live on boats all over the place. Boats are better, because they can easily move to better locations.Cool
Definitely they could have lived in a boat or a yacht peacefully rather than these hurdles  Cheesy.
4337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NPXS] pundi x moon or doom ? on: April 29, 2019, 07:43:57 AM
it is cheap. pundix one of the best project that provides a real and practible solution for real life. i think pundix can increase its value easily comparing with many other alternative coins.
The hype behind the project was simply because they were coming up with a solution to be used in real life scenarios and the price looked promising in the beginning when it was listed in a few exchanges, i invested in it during the ICO period because i liked the project and after listing in exchanges it really gave a good return and then the news of listing it in bittrex came and i was expecting another rally but the opposite happened, the price started falling after being listed in bittrex and never recovered after that and i made the mistake of holding it for a longer period, it might recover in the future but the fall was too much to handle considering the amount i invested.
4338  Other / Meta / Re: [Choose 1]Trade Forum accounts, or DT neg trust for trading accounts - banned on: April 28, 2019, 11:40:05 AM
cant have people bringing stuff up from 4 years ago though as I think that will be counter productive here.
Some of the prominent members have traded accounts in the past and they have accepted that in due course and refrained from that practice and the users who get tagged now cry about the double standards which is being shown, the solution for this is to have a transparent system (can open an sub forum with a moderator to monitor that) where every traded account is published here when they are changing hands and those who are not revealing those trade must be tagged.

The accounts that are traded are for two reason, either to enter campaigns or to scam people .
With the current merit system you cannot farm accounts like they did in the past without  making a valid effort and people who farmed accounts in the past had the nerve and time to do those activities and there is nothing that can be done and so is the reason i am suggesting this .
4339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 1 Tirillion of PMNT token but can not make chance for an exchange on: April 28, 2019, 10:54:13 AM
https://etherscan.io/address/0xD6ece8ca1f634AD4Ce74Da29196f35534D78ca15#tokentxns

received 1 trillion of PMNT token and tried to transfer to hitbtc and yobit but always failed in returns.

PMNT token price is 0,68 cent at ico times

that i must have of 220 million of USD for exchange with the market price on yobit

if anyone interested to helps or agree for an exchange please take 25 percent of value from above records of balance on my eth acc
I would like to know from where you purchased these tokens . The reason you are not able to transfer to any exchanges is simply because the coins in your wallet is not PMNT and it is a fake one.

This is the real contract address of PMNT tokens :https://etherscan.io/address/0x81b4d08645da11374a03749ab170836e4e539767

The contract address of your fake tokens : https://etherscan.io/address/0x3a7ebc138fd59ccce16b7968199c2ac7b013bbc0

You are in this market for a long time and i am not sure why you made those silly mistakes of thinking of it as a real token. Roll Eyes

There are only two scenarios

1.Either you got scammed and still a noob in this market even though you are in this site for a long time to understand basic things.
2. You know the situation and looking for someone to be the bag holder, just common sense is needed with the amount of coins you are holding as the total supply is that much and i am not sure why you think you hold everything   Tongue .
4340  Other / Meta / Re: [Competition] Report spammers and pseudo-goodposters on: April 28, 2019, 09:19:02 AM
Just to add onto this also. This is why I considered giving out payments, although that also has its drawbacks. Honestly, I couldn't care what the motives behind someone reporting is as long as they're not gaming the system. Therefore, I don't mind offering rewards up for users that are using the system properly, but as soon as payment is introduced I know that it will be gamed to no ends. I'm not a big fan of handing out merits for reporting, although I wouldn't critique anyone doing it as there's far worse things they could be wasted on.
Monetizing report will create another headache for moderators as it will be hard to go through every report as i bet you will get tons of bad reports just for the case of getting paid , it must be a voluntary system without any perks to get the best results from dedicated members but having a annual display of good reports by users is not a bad idea either.

@OP i will sponsor the second place winner and since i am sponsoring i am not participating in this competition.
