4321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊[Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: November 28, 2020, 02:40:28 PM
I am sure many would be eagerly waiting for this fight tomorrow. I am not much of a boxing fan myself but if it's Mike Tyson who is fighting then hell yeah I am gonna keep an eye on it.
Mike Tyson is a legend and I have placed my bets on him. I really don't know if he would win ( he should though) but I have placed my bets on him on freebitco.in as well.
Let's see who wins the fight. Keeping my hopes high on Mike.  Tongue
4322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach 20k $ in 2021? on: November 28, 2020, 02:05:52 PM
After hitting 19.5k $, Bitcoin suddenly dumped below 17k instead of targeting for 20k $. Do you think guys will Bitcoin reach 20k $ in 2021? Or will it stay below 17k $ like as always?
Share your own thoughts and let us know friends.
2021 is still far ahead. We still have many days left for 2020 to end and I am truly optimistic with Bitcoin going ATH by the end of this year.
Even if BTC doesn't cross $20k by the end of 2020, it should probably cross the ATH in 2021 since the market is filled with positivity.
With more number of institutional investors joining in and Paypal implementing bitcoin in 2021 things might go well for bitcoin in the next few months.
4323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another institutional investment firm is getting involved in bitcoin. on: November 28, 2020, 01:49:37 PM
I have never wanted all these institutions to be part of this, I just wanted normal who likes Bitcoin and wants to make use of it and will also be using it for steady transactions, and not big institutions buying up more than half of the number of bitcoins available and just storing them away in their private wallet.
One feature of a free unregulated market is that it is open to everyone with no minimum entry requirement or legal documentation. So there's no way to stop any group of investors from buying, so called institutional investors have been arguably restricted from investing except through funds and bonds, but nothing really stops them from holding private wallets and transacting pseudo anonymously.

The up side is the market is unregulated and everyone can use it for what they wish, and you choose whether to sell to the big cooperations and which price.
While it's good in one way that the market is unregulated and decentralized but isn't it acting as a bane since corporations are possessing more number of bitcoins.
Though it has increased the price of bitcoin lately, just think how easy it will be for corporations holding huge amounts of BTC to manipulate the market in future.
A decentralized cryptocurrency will only be utilized more appropriately when it is truly distributed. Few people holding majority of the coins moves bitcoin towards centralization.
I wonder how will we tackle this situation
4324  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Help Please - Coinbase on: November 28, 2020, 01:19:05 PM
This seems to be weird. Well I have one good news and one bad news for you. The good news being that

You have access to the following services:

Credit Card crypto buys
Debit Card crypto buys
Crypto convert (convert one crypto into another)
Send crypto to a wallet outside of Coinbase (for more information, see this help centre article)

Even if you don't get the option to withdraw to your bank account, you can send the cryptocurrencies to another platform which allows withdrawals to your bank account and then proceed with the withdrawal.

The bad news being that

At this time, you aren't currently eligible to receive the following services on your account:

Bank Account Deposits and Withdrawals
Crypto sells
This means that you're currently unable to sell your crypto for GBP or other fiat currency on Coinbase. We're working to enable the ability to sell crypto for fiat into your PayPal account and will contact you again in the next few weeks once that service is available to you.

You will have to contact the Coinbase support and go through the hassle of enabling bank account deposits/withdrawals.
For better assistance try posting your issue on their social media pages and tagging them.

Hi, just wanted to remind you to check the price of a single bitcoin.
-Your friendly bitcoiner :p
OP isn't active since 45+ days . There's no point searching and replying to a 4 months old thread unless you know OP already.
4326  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: November 27, 2020, 01:59:26 PM

That went fast, congrats  Wink! Did you level up using martingale on crash? I would be interested in your strategy.
Nope, didn't use martingale this time. I just used to bet on second bet after the winning bet (2x)

Example:
After the negative streak I wait for one bet that crosses 2x and then I place the next bet and win the amount.
Usually I bet less than 2x so may be that's why I win the bet soon.

Note:
This does not work every time as I have often lost my bets. I guess Crash just depends on luck and there's no strategy that is guaranteed to win.
4327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: US people are buying LTC while the other world is avoiding it on: November 27, 2020, 01:13:37 PM
The highest for LTC was $300+. I don't understand the calculation for $1120 just because of purchasing power with a minimum of $10 for each user.

It won't happen. Your prediction of about $119 per LTC is possible though.
And even that was due to the FUD created in the market during the days of ICO era. Bitcoin was at it's ATH and so let's not forget what drove Litecoin to it's ATH of 300+

~snip

let say that everyone has the purchasing power of $10 then LTC will hit $1190 in the future but when we don't know.

While the numbers seems quite optimistic the theory to reach those numbers seems shit to me. Why would every person buy LTC ? Just because they can ?
There are thousands of coins out there in the crypto market. Will people buy them all just because they can ?
You should provide a solid theory based on facts if you want people to believe it.
4328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow a trading process. on: November 27, 2020, 01:05:26 PM
You are saying something that most of the traders know already. Many traders so have their strategy already planned.
But there are just other things that take up their profits. As we know, profits depends on a lot of factors.
So while following the process we also have to look at the other factors to evaluate the profits.
Especially in the crypto market, luck plays a huge role as most of the times the market goes against us.
I have myself faced losses at times despite following the process. So it's better to stick to strategy and act according to the market rather than being determined with the process.

4331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There are more types of BTC addresses than you think on: November 25, 2020, 02:02:34 PM
Well that's not entirely right. First of all, you should differentiate testnet prefixes with mainnet's. It is confusing seeing different networks.
Thanks for suggestion. Updated OP.

Quote
Secondly, I don't understand why you have written private keys and public keys too, they're not addresses. They are just written on different wallet import format. Every private key is just a random 256-bit hexadecimal on an elliptic curve. Public key is the x and y of that point.

You are probably right. I posted it because it mentioned in the article I read. Also, aren't public key and private key both just addresses with different representation ?
Should I remove all the private keys from OP ?
4332  Other / Beginners & Help / Types of BTC addresses on: November 25, 2020, 01:32:53 PM
Although there are basically 3 major types of bitcoin addresses as we all know, they can be further derived as below and I got to know this today when I was surfing the internet on crypto articles. I stumbled upon one and was quite surprised to see there are so many prefixes for bitcoin addresses. Below is the full list of bitcoin address prefixes. Newbies can read it through and experienced ones can reiterate their memory with the below addresses  Tongue

4333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major differences between Bitcoin rally 2017 and 2020 on: November 23, 2020, 04:51:56 PM
As Bitcoin bullrun continues there are some differences between 2017 and today.
1. Whales bitcoin addresses keep growing and balances are not shrinking that means more holders, in 2017 there were more whales sellers.
2. Much more institutional investors are flowing into bitcoin.
3. There was a dominance of Asian investors and money in 2017 and now with PayPal, CME, Square more money is coming from America.
4. As TA guys may notice price action of Bitcoin rally 2020 looks more technically prdeictable than in 2017.

What differences did you notice?
You have missed one major point and that is bitcoin dominance. In 2017 the dominance of bitcoin was less due to the ICO hype.
Many investors threw their money on altcoins popping up in the ICO era. Due to this the dominance for altcoins increased a lot.
This time though it's bitcoin who is leading the dominance and this is a good sign since many people are holding bitcoin.
This only means that the price is about to grow more.
4334  Local / India / Re: What cryptocurrency in INDIA means now? on: November 23, 2020, 04:37:57 PM

They would do anything to stay afloat and survive without journalism morals.

100% accurate. This is what even I think of Indian journalists. They can drop to any level just to spice up the news so that people watch their channel.
Few years ago they were criticizing bitcoin because it dropped hugely in price and created a news out of it and this time it's because it increased a lot in price.
Not only bitcoin but in every case the journalists find their way to spice up the news and show it to the people.
Well I guess it's not their fault because there are people who like this shit. They believe the news blindly and start acting upon it without any research or facts.
That's why I believe bitcoin is for the smart ones. The early adopters are the smartest and I consider ourselves as the early adopters because not even 25% of world population owns bitcoin.
4335  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will there ever be any monetary incentives to run a full node? on: November 23, 2020, 04:19:49 PM
There are 10987 full nodes according to bitnodes, so even if you pay a small potatoes amount of money like 0.00001BTC, after paying all those nodes you will be out by more than 0.1BTC every period. Nobody's willing to finance that.
10987 should be the current number of active full nodes accepting incoming connections. Just imagine how large this number will be when people get to know there are incentives for running a full node. I am quite sure this number would grow 10x times or more if incentivizing full nodes become true. So that would become around 1 BTC or more and obviously nobody would contribute that amount repeatedly.
4336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bring back the Bitcoin FUN during this ATH period :-> on: November 22, 2020, 04:04:43 PM
In 2017 with the last ATH (All-time-high) this forum was a fun place to be.. because people created fun Puzzles and Quiz games and Treasure hunts.  (Geo locations) ....but those times are gone now.  Huh Huh Huh

People are now only talking about profits and "How high will the price go" type of discussions...  Roll Eyes  So let's bring back  the FUN times when people celebrated the high prices with giveaways and fun games and exiting new projects.

Go to the Games and Rounds section now and the only thing you see is gambling related giveaways and bonuses (Promotions) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0

Bring back the good old times, when you could not wait to login again to see who solved the next step in the Quiz or Puzzle that was on offer! (Most companies are making good profits now, so they can help to fund the prizes)  Wink

Let's discuss.  Grin

Guess what, I was thinking of the same thing a few days back and since then I was preparing to bring a game/quiz/puzzle for the forum users.
I will soon think it through and bring out something with some prize money.
It will just be a fun activity to bring a little excitement in the forum users.
I was just thinking which board to post it to and reading your post makes my choice easier.
Games and round will be the best place for upcoming game.  Wink
4337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Divisible by 1 billion on: November 22, 2020, 03:45:37 PM
Do you have any url supporting your argument ?? Plus why would someone name the smaller unit in *Roger*?? Plus no one who gets paid this small would even take the job. You have to understand the fact that this won't happen overnight , we are not even using the unit : Satoshi yet , it's there but it's not that practical. Thus we have to first encompass the point where we can use *Satoshi* practically and then think about this new unit you believe is going to come. By the way I believe we might have much more efficiency if we name the unit differently.

We can very easily use the units already in the use instead of giving them different names .

Things like micro-btc etc.. would be more logical.
Very well said. Getting paid in less than a Satoshi doesn't make any sense as of now. And why does it has to be called "Roger" at first place?
Sounds like it represents Roger Ver in some way. What @fiulpro said about the units makes more sense acutally.
Using terms like micro-btc would sound more appropriate for such conditions.
For example : It seems appropriate to use the term nano-btc instead of Roger.
4338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The last time we saw 16K on Bitcoin price on: November 22, 2020, 03:06:13 PM
That's quite true. Many altcoins which were pumped in price in 2018 had a big hit and were never recovered.
But there are coins in OP which are comparatively performing well. ETH has done a good job I believe in recovering it's price.
It was just a matter of time for bitcoin though since many people including me believed that bitcoin will definitely recover the price.
Just a few days or weeks more and bitcoin might just cross the ATH price  Cool

Thanks for free 1000 DOGE. I started playing my favorite game crash on BC.GAME and the best thing I noticed is that it has built in script for martingale.

Don't worry because the bitcoin price is about to hit $ 20K again. CMC has already made a prediction contest there, as long as you can guess the correct date and time, who is closest, he will win a staggering $ 10K, and if there are many of you, you will share the prize pool, the best part is, its free as long as you have an account with them and Binance. I will share it here for those who do not yet know.

Bitcoin $20K

I also noticed that every day the total amount of BTC that is being wagered here on this site is also increasing. Amazing!
You are absolutely right. CMC has a free prediction going on right now and the best thing is that we have not 1, not 2 but 3 predictions that are absolutely free and gives us a chance to win up to $10k.
I have also registered myself for the prediction game and hoping for positive results. But to be honest BTC is very unpredictable these days.
I am also planning on to bet on freebitco.in's betting platform to try my luck there. Let's see if this bull run turns our luck in our favor.  Grin
