4341  Other / Meta / Re: The .com forum on: November 18, 2019, 02:06:35 PM
I think it was just a rival crypto forum created by someone over ambitious to out compete bitcointalk.org but things didn't work out.
DdmrDdmr did try to explore its past archives and it's clear the person behind it wasn't happy with how bitcointalk.org was progressing
I’ve taken a look at it in archieved pages to see how much the “.com” site has mutated over time. There isn’t really much achieved, and what is very often error pages.

I did find this curious page header of the ".com" site back in 2014 (completely different UI): https://web.archive.org/web/20140208014228/http://bitcointalk.com/
4342  Other / Meta / Re: Help my account got hacked I need help recovering it. on: November 18, 2019, 10:47:14 AM
I think OP is a victim of someone hacking his account and then getting it banned(via the ban evasion rule)
I saw details like the ones Yoshie posted but i didn't have enough time to through all the investigation but from what i learned the person who hacked OP's account had already been banned.

I believe he has hacked a couple of more accounts and got them banned too because as soon as the account changes hands you start to notice bounty applications using the same old telegram, twitter and Facebook usernames and  also starts posting regularly in the Sri Lankan local board
4343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is sharing number conformations required is a crime? on: November 18, 2019, 09:13:02 AM
The order with ChangeNow when through immediately but Changelly was struck. When I contacted Changelly they said the order needs confirmations. When I asked for number of confirmations required they said they can not. What is wrong in sharing the number of confirmations required? My transactions had around 210+ confirmations.

I have I transferred XVG several times and when I have so many confirmations and said they can not mentioned the number of confirmations that is required, I felt cheated.
This is very weird considering the fact that crypto exchanges are supposed to exhibit a certain level of transparency especially when it comes to transactions and confirmations.

My guess is there is a reason your balance does not reflect, and they are probably buying some time. I have never transacted using XVG and i have never used changelly but this could help you

Quote
Each transaction at Changelly passes three steps. Usually, our transactions take 5-30 minutes to be fully processed. If your transaction takes longer, this could be due to a variety of factors. To find out the reason of the delay, it is important to determine what stage it happened on. Go to your History page, find the transaction you have issues with and look at its status.

1. Waiting for payment
If your transaction is stuck at the “Waiting for payment” stage, it means that we haven’t received money from you, so far.

Why did it happen?

Blockchain overload. This is the most common reason for backlogs. You’ve sent money to our wallet, and now your transaction is in the queue to be broadcasted in the network. Just wait until your transaction shows up in the blockchain and gets at least two confirmations. As a rule, it’s enough for us to receive your coins.

Incorrect memo / destination tag / message (link). If you are sending us Ripple, XEM, Steem/Steem Dollars, Stellar or Decent (links - Currencies) to exchange, the transaction in your History page will have its unique memo, destination tag or message, depending on what crypto you are about to exchange. Compare them to the one you’ve already put in when sending the coins. It should match to the one indicated in your transaction from the History page. If you make a typo or input the completely another memo, destination tag or message, your transaction will not pass through automatically. To process it, you will have to contact our support team and provide all the payment details including your transaction ID on Changelly and a link to your transaction in a blockchain. Once provided, this data will be used to process your transaction manually: we will either refund your coins or exchange them at the rate relevant for the manual processing time.

You’ve sent your coins to a different wallet.

Other technical reasons. If there is no overload, and no other obstacles on your end, there are likely to be some technical issues in our system. You can wait until our tech team resolves the matter or report us (link) to learn more details about your pending transaction.

2. Exchanging
If the Exchanging stage takes more than expected, there might be due to several issues.

Market overload. You are buying crypto at the peak or significant uptick, there is a risk of exchange backlogs due to increasing demand. In this case, your transaction may be stuck at Exchanging.
Technical issues at trading partners. As you may know, Changelly works with large trading platforms. The robot selects a rate and processes your transaction via either of the platforms. On rare occasions, it may have technical issues and halt orders for some reason.
Both of these issues take time to resolve. If you suspect this is the case, you should report us, so that we can provide you with more detailed information on your matter.

3. Sending
Your transaction may be stuck at sending if:

The blockchain is overloaded. There are many transactions waiting to go through, including yours. This issue occurs on the Bitcoin, Bitcoin-based and Ethereum blockchains. Unfortunately, the only thing to do is wait it out. Changelly has no control over a blockchain overload.

4. Overall issues

The list of issues below may concern all the stages.

Coin under maintenance (link – Can’t see this coin in your list). If we consider some coin doesn’t work properly on Changelly or it should be updated, we can halt all transactions related to that coin. Once the coin is back, your transaction is automatically processed at the rate relevant for this moment.
Server DDoS attacks or overloads. Such things may happen to any service. If our servers are backlogged or down, you must wait until the issue is fixed.

Security reasons. We can halt your transaction if we suspect the fact of money laundering or fraud.

What should I do?
Take a deep breath and relax. If your transaction is stuck due to technical issues, then we are likely to know about them and make every our effort to make things work again. If you consider the delay is made by your fault, get assistance at our support ninjas.

4344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [QUESTION] Inquiry about Ivory Tower Rules. on: November 18, 2019, 01:20:28 AM
You have a right to wear your signature whenever you want and post there if your posts are of quality and on point. It's just that the signature you are wearing won't be seen when you post in Ivory tower because they were disabled there to avoid signature spamming.  So,  if you keep posting there, it means most projects won't pay you for the posts made there since the signatures cannot be seen at all.
No visible signatures = No advertising to them.
4345  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] 💥Boublr.com | Signature Campaign | Member+ 💥 on: November 17, 2019, 09:27:14 PM
i on the other hand, see it in another way, i don't know if it is scam or not but i see that when a signature campaign finally comes out that is not managed by Hhampuz or yahoo62278 which unfortunately has a monopoly here, users who wear their signature do everything to discredit the manager by filling it with red trust and threatening the same thing for the eventual participants, compliments to the closed group and to the free opinion
After looking at the stupid feedback you sent to Hhampuz and yahoo62278. It's very clear that you are bitter because probably one of alt accounts wan't accepted into any campaign manager by them recently.

The fact is Hhampuz , yahoo62278 or other high quality Campaign managers around the forum pick quality poster and not just random shit posters which i believe your account's post history could be one of the cases.

So suck it up and make quality posts instead of whining about "monopoly"

4347  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LBC/LocalBitCoins-Can not log in on new device/laptop -Not receiving Email?? on: November 16, 2019, 09:54:24 PM
I received the emails 12 hours later lol, about 10 of them..lol
I sometimes think it could be due to a technical glitch by the Email service provider whereby several requested emails get jammed for a few minutes or even hours and then after you receive all of them at once.

This kind of thing has happened to me before and trust me, i was in your shoes and was so pissed at support of the service i was trying to log into thinking it was their problem.
Happens with SMS verifications too at times.

What away to announce an entry on Bitcointalk  Grin

Just out of curiosity, what is your source of funds for paying your customers those abnormal profits... Lemme guess, funds from new referrals/entrants?
Even a blind man can see that this is a ponzi scheme/scam... sorry OP, try else where.

-snip-
My countries stand on cryptocurrencies is still not clear thou sometimes some Government official usually come out and say that people should avoid buying and using cryptocurrencies. They use the excuse of cryptos being so volatile and risky.

So, as far as i know, they even have no idea on how to tax cryptos as of now  Grin
I have come across a couple of Bitcoin ATM but I have never used them. I prefer all my transactions, purchases and sales online and anonymous.
4350  Economy / Reputation / Re: 🔴💥 SCAMS of our bitcointalk 💥 on: November 16, 2019, 07:02:58 PM
Its OK, let's see how it goes, I just wanted to correct an impression that my project did not force anybody to participate in it. From what I see from most frustrated people who don't know the pain people pass through to setup a project as well as maintenance is that a project must be 100% perfect in their eyes, no mistake.
Nobody said that you must be 100% perfect but for basic things like Team profile, white paper, the project's objective etc people expect you to provide right information. Once it is discovered that something is false about your team or white paper or company address. It's a red flag and people have aright to suspect that you are a scammer or someone not to be trusted because that's what scammers do here every day.

Whether you call us frustrated or not but trust me we also know the pain of wasting resources, time and money to scam projects here, that is why we aggressively fight them in this forum. People have lost a lot of money to scammers and it's why some members here try to dedicate their time to keep the forum clean of scammers.

Even if a project does not force anyone to participate but it's the duty of someone who has seen a red flag to warn others who might fall victims too to be careful of the project. That is the use of the scam accusations board, trust flags and feedback.
4351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Brave Browser - Why it doesn't care about your privacy on: November 16, 2019, 06:27:16 PM
This is very funny. At first, they marketed themselves as a browser that would never spy on you or gather your details and monetize them like Google Chrome but now they are doing exactly the same crap.

It would have been nice if they stuck to one plan from the very being but now seeing this kind of hypocrisy makes me avoid them and totally  stick to my Firefox.
4352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Latium Tasking Platform on: November 16, 2019, 02:42:38 PM
previously I ever had traded this coins on Hitbtc and now only livencoin is the only one exchange left for LATX. of course I appreciate the team's hard work so far and seeing the Latium project still to alive, I hope the team registered this coin is more than one exchange.
They have an internal exchange on their website: https://latium.org/exchange#/BTC/USDT

HitBTC and the likes of Latoken seem to have delisted it due to liquidity. Also, there seems to be no live LATX data on coinmarketcap.

According to coingecko, the token still trades on Yobit and Livecoin which are controversial exchanges and many people who know their history don't even bother open up accounts there.

24 hour volume on the biggest trade pair on Livecoin is less than $300  Shocked
4353  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MERCATOX POTENTIAL SCAM !!!!!! on: November 15, 2019, 10:42:09 PM
Actually it is ok so that user will be aware on Mercatox issues before. The title mention the word "potential" and there's nothing wrong about as long as he have something to backup his hypothesis. In his case, the withdrawal and deposit does not work that time.

He did already a closure  feedback about the exchange about the exchange already. I think locking this thread is more appropriate rather than deleting it.
Indeed, deleting the thread isn't necessary. Just updating on what happened and maybe updating the title to "solved" would be Okay. Mercatox is one of the small exchanges i have trusted and used before and upon seeing the thread i was shocked that they would just decide to lock up 1600 USD out of nowhere.

Basing on OP's experience, it surely shows that their support is sluggish and this thread could help remind potential customers who are planning to use the platform.
4354  Economy / Reputation / Re: 🔴💥 SCAMS of our bitcointalk 💥 on: November 15, 2019, 10:06:44 PM
You tag a project i suffered to bring up as a scammed project because one of my member used a picture that i dont know if it was his or not. Have i scammed anybody?
I doubt if you suffered any bit. By the mere fact that you have no idea who your team members are shows it.

Unfortunately trust around here and the internet is not cheap. Nobody is going to believe those stories or excuses you bring up because scammers have used them very many times here once they are caught. The blame is on you and not the person who discovered that your team is fake.

Like BitMaxz said... your computer is likely to be infected with malware. If i was you i would even just format and reinstall a fresh OS.

Looking into the address transaction history: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/13gwPnRgJjqsg2T1QQ6LQXtxWJAQDJWD6z
It seems to have been in use for more than 2 years old... which implies whichever malware is using it is most like to have been in existence for a while now and has scammed lots of people and is still scamming

4356  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: wixiplay.io is a SCAM! on: November 15, 2019, 08:24:38 PM
Ooooh so OP tried to double spend?
Serves him right. In fact wixiplay is supposed to open a scam accusation against OP because what he is trying to do is truly some sort of cheating which is also part of scam.

You are luck you have not yet got tags from DT members know that they know the profile of the person who was trying to manipulate one of the sites.

4358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 15, 2019, 12:52:37 PM
Liverpool are now the strongest team with 12 matches, they can't be beaten, we know that Liverpool coach Klopp will break the record with one unbeaten season, hopefully that will happen, but I think for the next match, Liverpool have also prepared it well.
Much as Liverpool is the strongest force and i believe is capable for lifting the title this time round...Saying that they can't be beaten is sot of an over exaggeration.
They have already lost not a weaker Napoli in the UCL this season and that just shows you that they can lose any time in the EPL too.
4359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 14, 2019, 11:02:03 PM
2002 : liverpool finish 2nd ... 'one more step'
2003 : liverpool 5th
2009 : liverpool finish 2nd ... 'one more step'
2010 : liverpool 7th
2014 : liverpool finish 2nd ... 'one more step'
2015 : liverpool 6th
2019 : liverpool finish 2nd ... 'one more step'
2020 : still waiting liverpool to fall ... Grin

No more big matches for liverpool in 2019... they will only face mediocre teams and bottom teams , I will be happy to bet against liverpool with high odds on the opponent team , sooner or later I have a strong guts... they will lost during this unbeaten campaign.
I am not a Liverpool  here but i think this time round things are different. At worst, i think they will finish in second place. Jurgen Klopp got all the time he had to build a strong force and i think he is about to rip from it as he has already done so in the UCL.

The good times all seam to be finally approaching for the Liverpool diehards in the EPL after that very long wait.

It rained goals tonight. Cristiano Ronaldo bags yet another Hat trick for Portugal as they hit 6 past Lithuania... Still wonder why he has failed to replicate the same hattricks for Juventus too.
Harry Kane also had a hattrick against Montenegro, England walloped them 7-0
