4342  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting a user who just merited you on: January 14, 2021, 07:26:36 AM
Whatever the reason is that someone merited your post, you might sometimes (or all the time) feel like you need to respond in the same way. So, you end up rewarding the user who rewarded you with some merits as well. Especially if you were awarded more merits than you thought you would or deserve.
This is a fact for which most users experience but not so many would be bold enough to accept the fact as you just did without sentiment. This happens more often between a those for whom you are of higher rank than. Its a common thing that, when you get merited, you tend to know its sources as per the meriter, on what post and even at times, you tend to tend the post over again and just the, you might just conceive the idea of responding in the same manner. There is a common saying in my head that goes 'merits begats meriting', most users here might have said this sometimes consciously or otherwise but then, its wrong. Its an idea that must be forth although, we can't deny the fact that meriting kind of puts a user in the spotlight but then, merit for merits creates the idea of merit sharing or cycling which won't very much promote the correct use of merit and as a result, we just might consider meriting an unworthy post all in the name of responding in the same way. Lets just try to keep of this path, it leads the forum no where!

(The Yoruba man says) Ojú timi!
My eyes have seen my anus!
I have witnessed the unbelievable!
This one confuse me small oh. Dem teach us for Yoruba class for school sey "Oju timi" na "I am ashamed" na. How e come take dey different here na.
Normally, language no suppose different o, even if e wan different cef, e for be very slightly but then, as you carry learn kwa, na so I use learn and this one no be my mother tongue so, I no go fit argue am plenty. The thing be say,
Na proverb I learn from my teacher back when I dey junior secondary. E become common tongue amongst us via say, when we dey read 'the god's are not to blame' by Ola Rotimi way the plot carry say, King Adewale sleep with the mother Queen Ojuola after en marry her via say, them separate long ago and no sabi themselves again.

So, when we dey read this novel, the proverb 'Oju timi' na em my teacher dey like echo for watin the abomination way the plot carry and na the meaning en give us be that so, I no know why e different but anyhow e be, maybe I no get the right Yoruba word but, na the proverb for pigin be that and na the meaning I translate so. Man no go ever fit see en own yash na why, the proverb dey about mystery, when the unthinkable happen.

I salute una my people.

The odds and stats now are on Sheffield's side but, they seem to be taking quite a lot time to make the obvious damage. If they seem to be waiting on a die minute result, it might as well end this game in a draw because, a defense and counter attack strategy is what the Newcastle team are left with in this game and it just might earn them the draw or win they now seek.

On the other hand, I'm looking forward to an Everton win against Wolverhampton, it's going to be a difficult game no doubt and again, I do hope Burnley triumph's over Manchester United.
4346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Treat newbies right - Teach them and sell to them at the ATH on: January 12, 2021, 07:11:07 PM
Neither are looking for a quick trade. One I believe plans to leave it to his daughter, the other is growing an empire whose size remains to be seen. This is an offshoot for him to diversify and learn BTC, and I plan to try and get him to accept crypto payments in the future through his company.
This for sure subsides my worries on the matter. It's all in the purpose because, it would be very bad to start a trade and be under the weather and not just the mid one, a stormy one at the very first step and that's what most tends to face at the ATH. It only takes one with such purpose of hoarding the acquired or have other means of reinvesting to maximize profit to last in such situations. Devising another source of income or setting up a young wards or anyone's future plan could be just that as they all require a waiting period, a long wait at that.
4347  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian Bitcointalk Community Hangout. {Current topic: #EndSARs} on: January 12, 2021, 10:11:33 AM
Abeg eh, we country, I no know how e dey be again. Everything thing, every sector just dey see strike as last resort. If no be labour, na ASUU, na doctors, if no be doctors, na NEPA, if no be NEPA na tanker drivers. Sometimes cef,na all go follow join body dey run am. Person way suppose dey school either for four years or five years course via universality, for watin e no dey sure of employment cef when e graduate, e don dey add 2 more years on top, even the secondary school people cef, na wahala.

Now the NIN people way government don force on us via reg and sim card linking palaba don go there own strike... Abeg, watin dey happen for our 9ja, abi make we pack go start life somewhere, me I still believe in the opinion say, grass green where you pour am water but, the water don dey finish o.
How e wan be na???
4348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who has the best rates for cashing out? on: January 11, 2021, 11:33:21 AM
One thing your must realise is that, the crypto market is never steady, it's a constantly fluctuating market especially when your dealing with an escrow website or platform so, there really isn't any best price anywhere though, there might be a best fee. So, in my opinion, you have a go so long as your making profit. Sending coin from one wallet to another or from one escrow to another is just another way to a long trail of fees and that won't help your profit very much.
4349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Treat newbies right - Teach them and sell to them at the ATH on: January 11, 2021, 11:19:02 AM
Where I become confused is advising or allowing them to buy at the ATH because, eventually a retrace dose happen on the price, it would go a long way in demoralizing them temporary for those that would be able to hold their coin until the next bullrun occurs while those that couldn't would just abandon crypto. Though, putting the choice in their hands is as well, taking the blame words off there mouths but, would it be wise to just let them get on board at that hour knowing that, it's a risky time to get on board and only a few dares to buy then and still bare what comes with it should it be a negative one.
4350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk ranking difficulty on: January 11, 2021, 10:45:14 AM
They say,
To whom much is given, much is expected!!!

Expecting more from newbies isn't really out of place but, we've got to know the limit of how acquainted they can be of the crypto field at that particular point of there crypto career and sadly, that is a perspective thing so, it becomes increasingly difficult. The early rites of the field faced some, not only that BTC had less value compared to now, the trust in the system was an issue of controversy and interest so, they risked it and got the benefits. Now that BTC has become a booming field, it would be wrong to make it seem too easy to run through the profiles and go pro without scrutiny and that's what the merit and activity systems do.

I have a lot to learn myself and I've very much chatted it up and now, it's left for me to take my challenge to the next step and do the next thing in my crypto career and awareness. People have been challenged and have taken up a lot of crypto courses for this field, creating websites, learn coding, study blockchain technology and lots of other things. These things could be applicable some place else, it's building you. So, i urge most of us with a zeal to prosper in this field to not only look at it as a means to earn but also to improve as well.
4351  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with this so called Integration Wallet website on: January 11, 2021, 10:19:44 AM
According to OP, it's not certain if the app or site is a legit one neither has OP been able to gather facts that points to the contrary hence, it remains a work in progress for the site and a continual investigation on the part of prospective users.

The question remains that, must you use it or is there really a need to have all your app in one spot or site? If this becomes a thing of importance to any user, why not download the individual wallets from official sites of which, your sure it's legit and perhaps group them in a folder on your device! I'm sure phones do that and it's better than uploading your privacy details on what ever site or platform you see on the web. The more limited info you supply a third party you don't really know whom, the more secure you become.
Let's learn from what happened on ledger hack and grow wise.

You are your best hope to finding yourself as you alone knows what is more comfortable, easier and suits you. One who wears the shoes knows where it hurts the most and what side to lean to for comfort.
So, your best chance at finding yourself is just surfing the web and trying out things but, you've got to exercise a lot of caution with things of money as that could easily break you should you be a victim to scammers. Your skepticism takes on and your likely not to trust in anything you see on the web.

There is life on the web, you've only got to choose which one to live.

I wonder how I've not been a victim to this because, I don't. Do non of these things and isn't sure I would be doing that either.  Won't it have been more easier to know the specific malwares to watch out for that effects these change of addresses so as to note and clean them up in one anti- whatever swipe...

Again, comparing addresses is more like you trying it manually over again. Like IASENKO said, considering a few characters isn't enough. Although,  o_e_l_e_o suggestion would be effective since from indications, the changes is down within the time frame between when the address is copied and being pasted. So, a duplicate screen for typing manually instead of mare comparing alone and typing more accurately could be the best form of skepticism. Though, you'll still need to confirm before sending.
4356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The problem on: January 10, 2021, 11:39:46 AM
I get it how the team and the concept for which a project is built on could determine how successful a project might be but, can this completely rule out the fact that, some investors use the attached value to a coin because, you can barely know who is or the team behind a start up project especially when they aren't in any partnership just yet.
So, some investors use the worth or value attached for speculations and it becomes a base for investment so, can we completely rule that out? Because, it becomes a problem when the project doesn't meet up expectations, instead it falls to the bottom and struggle to build.
4357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's still "mining" Pi on: January 10, 2021, 09:37:33 AM
They are just profiting from the app users without giving back any value.
This has been my annoyance with most of these apps and there are a lot of them today. Preying on the ignorant and inexperience few. Even some experience people still gives it a trier until they realize they are unto another kill trap for your data and nothing else. I wonder how some developers just get to be so greedy and not appreciate the people doing the work for them, they just go ahead profiting and don't even care to share a little.
If it were to be that they don't profit, I'll understand but they do and don't care to compensate those who over work there devices and data to make this profit a reality for them. Too bad.

KYC is another major issue as you don't know what are the underlying intentions of the people at the other end or some staff in there organization. I'll always think twice before running a KYC with any platform, that's if I would even do it at all. Some services aren't just worth the risk no matter the reward attached.

4359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins seem like they could be the way to go on: January 10, 2021, 08:24:36 AM
With the surges in bitcoin price, one gets scared on when to buy and how many can you buy which turns out attention towards the altcoins market and by far, it's probably the best way to go though I must confess that I for one, is completely obsessed with bitcoin. But then, investing in the altcoins market  is a paying one as well with attentions on bitcoin growth but the investing power of investors more aimed at altcoins. It all goes down to being patience by the way as, not all would appreciate or boom as you expect but in time, they will.
4360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a good time to get in or not on: January 10, 2021, 08:16:36 AM
To be frank @OP, I don't know when is the right time or not anymore. Through last month, I had waited for the right time and yet found non. With what BTC and a few altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin are doing in the market, there seem to be no right time anymore. It might seem late now but in a few weeks, it seems you lost the best chance a week or two weeks ago.
It all comes down to how much are you willing to invest and be patient with it. Should it be that you are looking to invest with hopes of immediate returns, it's best you hold your peace but if, your willing to wait and watch, then by all means do invest.

I just can't wait anymore so i invest anyway. It's more about looking for a little opportunity in the fees and price and invest for me. No time to be picky about when is the best time. Patience isn't just waiting on the best time, it is also waiting on the time it would take to yeild.
