I thought most bitcoiners were all about anonymity, security, and privacy? Seems to me that outing these users when they changed their usernames, would be an invasion of privacy. I'm sure each and every one of them had a reason to change their name correct?
Now with this thread, the name change was mostly worthless for most of the users who requested it. I see some arguing that the only way to get away from it completely would be to start all over. Well, that is of course an option, but then they lose their rank. That may or may not be important to everyone, but I know some of these guys earn money in signature campaigns so starting over may not have been an option unless they didn't mind losing the income.
Why grant the name change for these users if this was going to be the result?

Payments LuckyBit signature campaign is a pay-per-post campaign and it will be paid weekly directly to your LuckyBit account.
LuckyBit signature campaign accepts only members with Senior, Hero or Legendary rank. The pay rates are as follows:
Senior = 0.0001 BTC/post
Hero = 0.00015 BTC/post
Legendary = 0.0002 BTC/post
A week runs from Thursday to Wednesday and is based on the UTC timezone. Posts after 23:59 UTC Wednesday will count for the next week.
Payment will be credited every Thursday.
Spreadsheet Rules 1. Min 10 constructive posts and on a topic each week to qualify for payment.
2. LuckyBit only pays a maximum of 25 constructive and on topic posts every week.
3. Post bursting and spamming are not allowed.
4. Post under 100 characters will not count.
5. Posts in Off-Topic, Games, and Rounds, Local Boards, Politics and Society, This thread or other Signature Campaign threads, Investor Based Games, Wall Observer and other boards where the signature is not seen will not count towards the requirement.
6. An account with Negative Trust Feedback or High-Risk Flag from DT1 and DT2 are not allowed to join the campaign.

advertise other gambling sites in your Signature/PM/Avatar during your participation;
cause serious trouble on this forum such as a flamewar or scam;
change your LuckyBit username during your enrollment;
do not meet the post requirement after your time is up;
enroll in the LuckyBit campaign with more than one account;
receiving negative trust feedback or High-Risk Flag from DT1 and DT2 during your participation.
The campaign Manager reserves the right to disqualify any post, to refuse or terminate enrollments at the manager’s discretion and change the rules for new pay rounds.

He has managed a few 1 week campaigns with minimum participants mostly. He is doing well to start so far.
But I can't give them false expectations, signature campaign doesn't work like they expect. The bolded statement is exactly the way to be with all companies. Always tell them exactly what they can expect. For example, I have companies ask how many investors I can promise them or how many clicks they will get? The answer is 0 to all. A manager cannot promise investors for an ICO, or clicks to your website period. What can be promised is xxx amount of posts per week dependent on the number of people in a campaign, and that you will remove shit posters and try to keep the best posters in the campaign each week. |

Since yesterday from 19:00 forum time I wrote 8 posts. On Yobit dashboard, only 1 is counted. In the last 4 months, only 3 my posts have been deleted.
What's wrong and how can it be fixed?
EDIT: Now 3 posts are counted on Yobit dashboard.
I don't think their day starts at the same time as the forum. Not 100% sure what time their day starts at all but could be a timezone issue. |

I looked at the length of your last 200 posts, and considered other factors, including how frequently you have been quoted (900+ times). It is my opinion that your old account should remain banned, but that you should be allowed to rejoin the community under a new account. Given the time you have already been banned, your previous lack of merit, and the minimum time it takes to rank up, I believe this to be roughly the same as a multi year signature ban. Alternatively, maybe 800 or so of the merit you received when you were grandfathered into the merit system could be deducted from your account, and you would be given a 12-15 month signature ban (plus the 9 months you have already been banned would work out to a two year signature ban).

I appreciate your response but it is not really easy for me to start with a fresh account as it would take years to be a legendary again on this forum. I would rather stop using this forum(that's actually what i did for the past 9 months) instead of creating a new account. Also i can accept multi year signature ban as it won't allow me to earn a revenue from the campaign system and still i can contribute towards the forum, but keeping my account banned will demotivate me to leave this forum forever  I hope the mods can take a wise and caring decision perhaps. But i am more afraid after readind your reply. Let's see what happens. So you'll accept a multi year sig ban but wouldn't care to start over? You cannot contribute from a new account? What you're saying makes 0 sense man. No i'm not saying break the rules and make a new account, but what is the difference between old account restored and contributing and making a new account to contribute? |

Users would be silly to believe he has insider knowledge in the 1st place. If he did, he would never have lost 1 bet and of course he lost multiple. He is just a normal tipster who was guessing match outcomes and yes trying to defraud by claiming fixed.
He did mention send him half your winnings but never really demanded it, he just kept posting more picks. I would just ignore the user.

So it becomes a new trend or trick to get more merits by creating motivational threads.  OP you got four merits but you are not actively contributing to the discussions so be active and try to help others in the way you can,merits will come up eventually as you wished. The problem is some other more known members have created threads like this one. Now we will start seeing this as a trend all across the forum. It was fine when 1 or 2 guys did it, but now i've seen about 12-15 threads like this. OP congrats on making jr member bud but concentrate more on contributing to threads where you can and you'll have a better chance of gaining merits. |

You guys should maybe keep track of your post counts. When the bot updates and it sees you have 100 posts, it will credit you for how many over the last update.
Then let's say you do 5 posts the next day, and 3 of your posts were deleted due to being reported prior to the next bot update, you will only show as 102 posts and get credit for 2 posts.
That's what I think is going on, so the solution is stop thinking all that you post is quality cause it likely isn't. I have started reporting a ton of posts in this thread alone and all reports have been 100% so far.
Stay on topic and add something to the thread you are replying to or get reported and lose posts. Your call but eventually I'm gonna see you have had 20 deleted and remove you. That shows me you dont know how to stay on topic and dont need paid.

I like the idea of the user helping the moderators to maintain the forum clean and spam free however the idea of reports exchanged to merits I think it's not gonna work out bud, knowing this forum for years...most of the users here will abuse this kind of implementation to the forum. How?
Creating an account is free and can be easily be used by anyone which means they can create multiple new accounts just to post trash topics and be reported by the main/real account of that user so he/she can easily earn merit maybe a special badge/title badge on the profile would work? (you know just a recognition badge that will changed every 100 approved reports, 200 reports, etc. for helping the forum clean but doesn't have anything special just a plain title badge that you might wear to let other see or not.)
There have been talks of possible reporter badges for those who have 300 or more reports, Maybe they will be implemented soon. Far as merits go, it's not really hard to earn them guys. I graded a small campaign of 16 users earlier this evening and 13 of the 16 participants earned merits this week. Some earned a lot, some only a few but they all did well as far as merits go. |

I've seen previous cases on this with FortuneJack and when they do fraud assessment I see that the user itself are at fault. One user who was playing in the US (which isn't allowed in their site) ask a friend he has in the Philippines to withdraw his earnings for her and his friend also proxied for the KYC requirement. Even though the user has tried to fool FortuneJack they still manage to give his withdrawal so I wouldn't say FJ is fraudalent even if its a delay in withdrawal.
Being as we are in the crypto world and all these users are so high on privacy, sites need to find a way around KYC. Users have found that they can visit these sites using a VPN to play.If the IP isn't showing a restricted country, wouldn't that keep sites from getting into trouble for illegal gambling? User still gets to stay anonymous, sites get more players, no fines or penalties imposed on sites, sounds like a win win for all. Not sure the OPs issue but if it falls into this, then security check shouldn't be an issue. |
