i can help you recover pm me
Don't let random people "help" you through PM. They'll most likely recover and steal.

What you need to do has been posted here, it's easy to do yourself with some use of Google.

So if anything is unclear just post here, but be careful with people like this guy.
4342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: November 03, 2017, 12:29:25 AM
It went to $4 then it immediataly dipped to $3.50

What the hell is going on.
Waves has been moving around this range for months now. And it will keep doing so until the new Wallet and DEX get released. Not sure why anyone would be surprised.

No, it went from 2.70 to $4.20 in some min and then, on a blink of eye, dipped to 3.50 again, and now it's returning to 2.80.
That's really nothing special in crypto and doesn't change what I've stated in my previous post: Waves is moving sideways for months (in USD).
4343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins are dying on: November 03, 2017, 12:27:32 AM
anyone who believes in this should close their exchange accounts and stay out of this article and business. get your btc's to your wallet and please go away. this topic is not for you.

altcoins are not dying.they are getting ready for the spring : )

yep, and to spring back from there (pun intended). I suppose as one stays in this game long enough you can see just how stupid (and too common) threads are like this, particularly after a bitcoin price surge.
Inb4 "Bitcoin is dying?!??" and "altcoins to the moon!"
4344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do card holders like Visa provide information to Central Banks? on: November 03, 2017, 12:25:02 AM
Well, then I guess it can get a little tricky. With Skrill, which country do they send the info to? My born country where my passport is issued or the country where my address is on and where I'm living right now?

Anyway, I think if I understood correctly, bottomline is, I can fly under the radar if not doing abnormal activities. How much are we talking about as a "huge" sums? I will be careful and only do small transactions evey now and then. My plans for 2018 were withdrawing about 100k€, maybe a little more, if done patiently could I still fly under the radar? This is far more than what I have been taking from debit card in the recent years, that's why I'm concerned.

And by the way, I would be happy to pay a certain reasonable theft or taxes in exchange for nothing in a country where I barely put a foot on, but at this point it would only create more red flags for my situation, so as for now it's much better for me to try to remain under the radar. I think an inspection against someone like me (never "worked", never made a tax income declaration) would be extremely unlikely.
What counts as "under the radar" depends on how much you normally receive and send. If you suddenly move significantly more than usually you'll get on the radar. You can't just jump from 10k or even 100k to 200k without raising flags.

This is why the holding period is very important. Many countries have very low to no taxes on assets that were held for more than one year. Which makes trading highly unprofitable in some countries once you factor in the risks.

waves is gaining traction like crazy, why this now?
Where is Waves gaining traction like crazy? The price has been moving sideways for months.

i mean, it jumped from 2.7 to 4.16 in bittrex today
but i know what you mean, i've been baghodling this for some time now and tried to sell at a nice price but the movement was so quick that i couldn't even send my coins to the exchange in time

now it's 3.35  Huh
Why not lease your coins and wait for the new platform?

i read about leasing but from what i understood i need a recipient and i do not know one
could you explain to me how it works?
You can find leasing nodes on Google or the Waves Reddit.

My favourites so far are:

3PPRLpTAn9ku11YpPh1YfZcojCgopeet6er
3PFrn8EHRhjJGEQxYwWKdJcwcsW1XFRJbmz
3P2HNUd5VUPLMQkJmctTPEeeHumiPN2GkTb

One of those is called Fountain Perpetua, one is the WCT or WavesGo one (forgot which), and one more has a nice balance sheet that you can check at any time. I tried a few different ones and eventually sized down to just these three after testing.

What happens with leasing is, you pick a leasing node (master node) and then lease your Waves to them. You can choose any amount.

The Waves get locked up for the duration of the lease which you can cancel at any time.

Nobody has access to your Waves during the leasing so it's impossible to lose them that way.

Depending on the amount you've leased and the fee structure of the leasing node you'll get different rewards.
4346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: November 03, 2017, 12:17:17 AM
everything below $300 is a good entry...
dont Forget btc has been around $300 for a Long time too...
ethereum is not without reason the #2 cryptocurrerncy.
they always made the right mooves and will continue to do so.
also there are a bunch of whales involved in the Network.
good Things to come for every holder Smiley
There's more than 6 times less Bitcoins than Ethereum though, so you can't exactly compare the two straight up.
4347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jesus Coin? on: November 02, 2017, 11:49:27 PM
I have visited its website and it humored me. It was funny when it say that it will forgive all of our sins when we have some of their coins, that will never happen because forgiveness is being earned by confession. I think this coin is a sinful coin because it uses God's name to nonsense.
That's a nice jab at the sale of indulgence letters that absolved you from sin for a little donation. Cheesy

4349  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is Electrum fee too high? (0.00045 on 0.0031 transaction) on: November 02, 2017, 11:46:01 PM
A) No that's normal.
The fee is independent of the amount of Bitcoins that you send.

You could also wait to send the transaction to off peak hours of the day, or on weekends when the amount of transactions is dramatically less, thus paying less in fees.
Good luck!

Crystal clear, thanks for the help and tip
You're welcome. If everything is clear you can lock the thread.

this also helped me too , cheers
Glad it helped.
4350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to break teenage video game addiction on: November 02, 2017, 11:44:49 PM
I think the best way to leave the addiction of playing video games is improving the interaction with other people.
You can interact with more people by playing video games than you can by going out in the real world though.

4353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Master Degree Important? on: November 02, 2017, 11:12:19 PM
Do you think that master degree is important? I see that many companies nowadays ask for a master degree but still I know many people who had a job without it. Do you think it is essential?
No, I think there are far better ways to get entry into the company of your dreams. Namely, work on different relevant things in your free time as much as you can and create a portfolio of such projects that would be related to the job that you are applying for. This will be worth much more to any employer than a university degree if you put enough effort in. And you will learn much more this way too than you would in university.

University is the easy way though, but it won't set you apart from others and won't give you access to any job you want. You'll get some job, but that's about it.
4354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I lost my wallet.dat file in FORCE-qt on: November 02, 2017, 11:10:08 PM
Hi guys, there is the things i met:
I had a wallet.dat file for FORCE-qt which containing 500.000 coins ready for running masternodes. I sent all the amount to a new wallet (in another PC) and CREAT A NEW WALLET ON MY OWN PC WITHOUT BACKUP THE WALLET.DAT (OLD FILE). And then when i send back 500000 to setup masternodes, i SENT IT BACK TO THE OLD WALLET ( WHICH WAS OVERWRITTEN), is there anyway i can recover it guys please? thank you so much for your help
If you have any restore points you could try that. Otherwise perhaps a file recovery program. I'm not sure how successful this will be though. Google around for "restoring overwritten files". Good luck.
4355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jesus Coin? on: November 02, 2017, 11:08:40 PM
Even its name, Jesus Coin, sounds like a joke or a kind of a mocking. I was shocked to read that those, who worked out this stuff are sincerely sure that JC is more effective than the prayer! They say, the main goal of Jesus Coin is to decentralize Jesus on blockchain. Seriously?
Sincerely sure that JC is more effective than prayer? That's obviously a joke and brilliant satire that mocks marketing campaigns. I love it for what it is - comedy gold.

Altcoin gets hammered by bitcoin but this will not so long. I believe about the bitcoin maximalist will try to fud people to move to the bitcoin. I just think if this is an impact caused by that,
Altcoin will be back in the future.
So far most altcoins haven't produced anything yet, and Bitcoin has been forking multiple times as well. So it's not a surprise that altcoins are in a bear market right now. Once the first products and platforms get released this will probably change, perhaps a bit sooner.
4357  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone thing most Google products are spying on them? on: November 02, 2017, 11:05:08 PM
Google may be spying on you but in reality we're being spied on constantly. I have heard of supermarkets tracking customers movements thru their stores by using nfc tracking. And of course online, every website you go to has some type of tracking cookie. It's amazing how freely we give up our private data. I'm guilty too. Conveniences and utility for privacy is a sacrifice most of us are willing to make. Good, bad or indifferent.
The blockchain could one day change that though. Projects like Presearch are trying to create a platform that will pay the users of their site the ad revenue that the site creates.

And I'm sure that someone will come along and start paying us for our data as well - if we choose to make it available and sell it.

Once that happens people will either choose to go private or sell their data on a large scale, and single corporations won't use normal people as lifestock any longer.
4358  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is Electrum fee too high? (0.00045 on 0.0031 transaction) on: November 02, 2017, 10:32:37 PM
A) No that's normal.

The fee is independent of the amount of Bitcoins that you send.

So the more Bitcoin you send, the "cheaper" the fee becomes relatively to the amount of money that you've transacted.

B) Yes. I believe that function is used when you send a transaction with low fees and then try to overwrite it with high fees when it's stuck or if you want to speed it up.
4359  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do card holders like Visa provide information to Central Banks? on: November 02, 2017, 10:31:32 PM
Stop trying to scam your government.  I bet you use all their free services, don't you?
To be fair, Canada has very nice tax rates despite having insanely good health care. If you go to Europe you'll pay at least double and up to four to five times as much in taxes and still have to pay for health care (which in some countries is outrageously expensive for self-employed people when compared to the usual rate).

I'm actually considering moving to Canada because of the lax tax rates and the inexpensive and beautiful plots of land.
4360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do card holders like Visa provide information to Central Banks? on: November 02, 2017, 10:28:37 PM
Hey there! New here.

I've been using the Bitwala debit card for a while to withdraw money. I think Bitwala is amazing and actually I'm thinking about investing in their next ICO! the service is perfect and the fees are the lowest in the market.

Anywa, the thing is I'm a little bit worried that they (or Wave Crest Holdings, or VISA) would give my information to ECB or to the Central Bank of the country I live (Europe). I would like to keep withdrawing BTC in the Bitwala card without having to worry about the tax agencies or the government messing around. Do you think they have a way of finding out? I'm a little lost here.

Thank you!
Yes they do depending on your country and legislation. If you're using a non-anonymous card and start putting too much money through it you will get a letter from your fellow tax collector and will have to pay heavy fines or serve jailtime if it turns out that you tried to evade taxes.
