4341  Economy / Economics / Re: What can greece central bank do? on: September 10, 2015, 12:17:04 AM

While you are correct, these persons don’t seem to be able to change their ways. I have been reading that some of the solutions that economist has been pondering are: multiple reserve currencies and IMF SDR.

IMF SDR is especially frightening for me, because it’s basically the equivalent of a world currency.

The SDR's are not a big deal, they are just a basket of currencies or a derivative of them (that can be printed too as a unique asset).

It's basically a derivative of a basket of toilet papers, which is worth the same.

C`mon it's all fiat toilet paper money, why it would be anything different?

the question is when or not if, it blows up in our face.

what will we do then? lol. I mean its not a laughing matter, but I laugh because I wouldnt be able to handle the truth if I saw my dollars worth nothing.

It wont be that quick, so you will have enough time to change your dollars.

I would be more afraid of bank bail-in, so if you hold your dollars in a bank, then they can just rob you.

Nowadays its not you who robs the bank, but the bank is that robs you.
4342  Economy / Economics / Re: This is how 0.037 Bitcoins looks like in Venezuela on: September 10, 2015, 12:04:32 AM
is there anything they are doing to fix this hyperinflation. i have no idea how they're going to get out of this mess.

fiat form itself is a no option kinda situation for hyperinflation.

its why you see countries like japan are in the same route. Heck we are all in it as long the paper keeps printing.

what does japan have to deal with hyperinflation?

last time I checked the only reason why they are probably in that mess is because they dont rely on anyone period lol.

My spider sense is telling me that Japan has to get some wheelbarrows soon, because the YEN is going HYPER!!!!

4343  Economy / Economics / Re: This is how 0.037 Bitcoins looks like in Venezuela on: September 10, 2015, 12:02:27 AM
This is why Venezuela will be the first country to adopt a virtual currency.

 0.037 Bitcoins o almost 12 Us$

It loos like a lot of money, but is the equivalent to half of the monthly minimum wage

Get your wheelbarrow guys because this is how the USD will look like in a few years, coupled with the JPY, EUR, CHF,GBP ,etc...

All fiat currencies will be moved with wheelbarrows in the next decade!!
4344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 09, 2015, 11:59:14 PM
Why would you say Nxt is a scam? They really introduced some new developments and cool features do the ecosystem...

Because they are paid shills, fudding for some other altcoin that is in direct competition with NXT.

It's hard to convince people to buy a coin, but its easy to FUD the competitor with 1000x newbie accounts.

I had experienced this fud on my own wallet. Fucking shills make me lose money.
4345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 09, 2015, 08:54:02 PM
Walk into a store ask them if you can pay with NXT.... Grin
LMAO ROFL really nxt?

If I walk into a store and ask if I can pay with U.S. dollars people will laugh at me. Such money much wow.

I would get the same result. Even though the USD is a global reserve currency, its only accepted in like 5-10 countries as a means of payment.

Bitcoin atleast is international, although not widely used, but international.

I`d like to see how you accept USD in countries where there arent any exchanges, like africa. But you can exchnge bitcoin for good & services.

NXT might not be a payment currency, but it fits into the same category as bitcoin by being crypto.
4346  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why you cannot enter an arbitrary seed in Electrum on: September 09, 2015, 06:56:36 PM
What if my sentence was written in... italian? (it is, actually)
Should a hacker implement several languages grammar?
I still think we are going a bit too far in the paranoid field here...

What if my sentence is written in... a dialect, of any language?

Also keep in mind there's quite some people that CAN'T write correctly.
Just to stay on the english side: many mistake IT'S with ITS, HIS with HE'S, YOUR with YOU'RE, and much more...

Professional password breakers, use dictionary attacks on the passwords, and they got a dictionary of all words, dialects, new words, of all languages.

Probably they focus on major ones.

If your password is in like Navajo or some really obscure language then it might be harder to break, but even then dont put your address, name, or birthdate in it.

Seems to me like you people want to refuse the reality.

Anyway, after thinking well around all this, I'm definitely sure that a sentence:

- more than 100 characters
- unknown language
- possibly with invented words
- possibly with grammar errors
- with caps letters
- possibly with numbers
- possibly with punctuation.

is more secure than:

- always-english
- common dictionary
- no caps
- no numbers
- no punctuation

randomly generated seed of 12 words.

AND it's much easier to remember, thus giving an actual chance to many users to just hold the sentence in their brain and nowhere else.

Yes but i dont understand why we are forced to only 12 words.

The devs force use to have 12 words, what if i want 30 words?

I just dont understand why are they deciding it for us with the pretense "that they know better".

I want to decide my own password and length of it.
4347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: September 09, 2015, 06:53:39 PM
I paid for a sandwich at a Deli near Detriot several times.  It was very easy.  One of the times, their credit card machine was down so it was either bitcoin or cash.

Shit in my city there is only 3 places that accept bitcoin, none that  i use.

I wish i could buy some hotdog or food with bitcoin, it would be very fun.
4348  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin investing on: September 09, 2015, 06:52:22 PM
so, what id like to do is invest bitcoins to a stock or mutual fund account, but am not sure the best way to go about it. any tips/advice?

I haven't hear yet about some fund account with bitcoins. At least any with good reputation. I think there are not in circulation yet. So this way is to excluded. The stock are to many risks. the only way is to take your bitcoins in your wallet and to wait the increase of price.

Try out altcoins or gambling, i think both can make you good profits, if you are lucky.

I am just investing in some major altcoins for now, and it would be a good investment, we will soon find out.
4349  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: September 09, 2015, 06:50:58 PM
I'd also wish I could spend my Bitcoins at Google Play Store or the App Store. Wouldn't it be cool to buy apps with your BTC?  Roll Eyes

I think the bitcoin can be spent in a better way, but if you want that sure it would be good.

I would specifically want an investment method to multiply them until I own half of the bitcoin supply, that would be a better purchase.
4350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 09, 2015, 06:47:48 PM
Scam or not. when do you guys even hear about NXT being brought up ?
Best I can tell that is very rare.
and no I am not trying to bash on it or support etc.. just sayin' lol

I will buy it up soon, i am going to buy some very soon, so it will be "bought up".

It is definitely a solid currency, I`m watching it since last october, and it has been evoling nice.

Of course there is NEM, BURST, COUNTERPARTY, that are similar, but I just like NXT for now!
4351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you differentiate you portfolio? on: September 09, 2015, 06:40:36 PM

I have my alts, most of my btc funds are in alts. But for one altcoin project i woork another becouse nicestaking and very stable price.I dont buy hype alts

Definitely not, go only for established altcoins in the top 10.

Hype alts could work for short term, but you have to buy & sell quickly, otherwise you will end up taking the lossses.
4352  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: September 09, 2015, 06:30:56 PM
To both of you, gold is actually abundant in nature. There are from 8 to 20 million tons of gold dissolved in the ocean waters. But given its concentration (somewhere between 0.1 and 2.0 mg per ton, depending on location), it is uneconomical to extract it using any current technology...

So then after better technology comes out, your gold will be diluted? And i`m not saying this ocean-water extraction would work.

But the proton bombardment of mercury could be a much easier way to synthetize gold, after we would create a massive solar power powered particle accelerator.

I think your gold will be so diluted in the next 20-30 years that It would not be the same as it was thousands of years before.

There is a story about diamonds. You are strongly advised to get acquainted with it

What about quantum computers and bitcoin then?

They exist now in a crude form and we all know how fast technology moves.  All encryption will be rendered useless killing bitcoin instantly.

Synthesizing gold is never going to happen on any meaningful scale in the foreseeable future and as for using particle accelerators to create large amounts of gold - then why arent CERN doing it thus becoming a self funding super rich organisation.

I`m no expert in physics, but from what I heard is that quantum computers on large scale are mostly a hoax.

The matter is too unstable to create that many quantum objects, and it would somehow collapse in state before any calculation can be done with it.

So basically anything with more than 16 qbits is probably impossible to sustain, and a computer with that much computing power is hardly any better than what we currently have.

Thanks GOD the universe has some restrictions , otherwise these idiot scientists would exploit anything making individuals more vunlerable to destruction. We already had it with the nuclear bomb, we dont need anything more dangerous.
4353  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: September 09, 2015, 06:27:01 PM
With Bitcoin it is very possible to be able to send and get money anywhere in the world at any given time.
Anyone at anytime can verify transactions in the Bitcoin block chain.
Currently there are either no fees, or very low fees within Bitcoin payments.

Its just funny that in another thread a guy cried to me about saying that the new bitcoin implementations would push the transaction fee higher.

Oh, bot so now we are worried that it goes from 15k satoshi to 30k satoshi, how horrible is that.

Meanwhile with the banking industry you pay 400$ + 10% comissions on a large bank transfer.

These guys are out of their minds.I wish we only had to cry about a few satoshi price increases, but they fail to realize that the banking industry is way more expensive.
4354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 09, 2015, 06:23:16 PM
Gambling is not wrong, however if gambling becomes an addiction and hurts you or the people around you, it is wrong.

I think it is completely wrong because after starting slowly most of them will be addicted to this and will loose money in the end. So just avoid it if possible.

yes true, I am also addicted to gambling, but I was lucky I was not to spend money, I play only when it has the money and the money I get for free.
so gambling is not wrong, it all depends on us each.

How do you get money for free?

I don't think its possible to gamble for free, if you could then everybody would be gamblers since there is no risk.
It is possible to get money for "free", but it's only until a certain time until your luck runs out.

A martingale method can last relatively good, but eventually you will lose all your money.

But if you can be disciplined and stop before that, you can walk away profitable.
4355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [CATALOG] Good websites to Invest My Bitcoins? on: September 09, 2015, 04:54:37 PM
missing 1broker in your list OP. you can trade stocks and stuff with bitcoin there.

Do you have an investment there? How your experience?

i used it for about two weeks, it was a good experience, i was trading forex exclusively and gold some times

everytime i was near to do x2 in profit the next day the trend shift(traders move on a differente range of value) and i lose everything

Try not trading every 5 min candlestick.

Forex is not a market where you can trade profitable every knee-jerk reaction of the market.

Look for more like weekly, monthly timeframes, thats where the big bucks are. Anything lower is just market manipulation.
4356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to your Granparents [InfoGraphic] on: September 09, 2015, 04:35:29 PM
I think its pointless, the 2000+ generation is just lightyears ahead of the old generation.

The old folks cant even open up a PC, they dont even own one. I know some old guys who dont even have TV (not that I use TV that much, but atleast I got PC and internet).

They are hopeless generation, too dull and too old to learn. People after a certain age will not learn more. These guys will die, and then the new generation will fill their place who will move humanity forward.
4357  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teen coaxed friend to commit suicide, then tweeted how much she missed him on: September 09, 2015, 04:32:23 PM
Actually looking at this news again.

She is pretty ugly, I cant see anybody why would be so stupid to kill himself for her.

Damn some guys really need to get their balls back, and stop being so big pussies in front of girls. Show them what a real man looks like!
4358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good websites to Invest My Bitcoins? on: September 09, 2015, 04:27:44 PM

The part I still don't understand is why if a gambling site is profitable would they want to share the winnings?  I would think they would want to cover their own bankroll.   Just on real casinos they cover their own action..... seems like online would follow that.

Can you say why they would share this profit if they are sure they are going to make a profit?   I don't get it.

I have no idea i`m not a casino owner/manager, and havent even invested in one yet.

But my opinion is that, it is probably working like a stock company.

So for example they need the investor's funds to cover the bankroll, whereas if they have for example 2% house edge, they keep half of it as their own profit.

While they distribute the other half amongst the investors, but it's only the investors that risk their money and the casino owners dont.

So this way the casino owner can setup a casino with 0 bitcoin, attract tons of investors and gamblers, and whenever a lucky player wins a jackpot only the investors lose money.

Basically they eliminate all the risk for the casino owner, at the expense of sharing half or 60-70% of the profits. Actually if you check their information page they will explain something similar to you.

And those casinos are really old and big ones, they profit 1000's of bitcoin daily, so the risk of scam or running bust is almost 0, while this can offer a stable long term investment for investors, and a risk free operation of a casino.

Or atleast this is what I understood from the info that they put out in ther sites.

+ a huge bankroll attracts more gamblers, and it is unlikely that the casino owners can come up with so huge bankrolls without investors
4359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need advices and help about Bitcoin's world on: September 09, 2015, 04:11:45 PM
Signature campaigns are a great way to not only earn a bit but also to further your knowledge on the Bitcoin world as you would need to be posting in different areas.

Yes that is a great example, since I have already learned tons of new stuff about bitcoin just by posting around.

I got over 1000 posts so you can already see that I got a bit of knowledge about bitcoin.

I think the higher the post count is the more experienced the user. Take that Amph and Litecoinguy guys with over 10k posts, they must know alot about bitcoin.
indeed knowledge is in need here, but when you do not know any time you can ask and it is still counted as a post,
when asked we could discuss it. but all of them need effort and time is not small

A forum, in the internet format, is a marketplace for ideas.

Everybody who comes here dont know something, but know other thing, and by communicating they can share the knowledge while also learning other things from other people.

I just love how these forums got evolved from the ancient Roman forums where they met face to face and talked in with their mouths.
4360  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: September 09, 2015, 04:09:14 PM
I surely thing many bitcoin miners got their lives ruined. Especially those that earned millions of dollars out of bitcoin mining.

How bad it is for you to be a 9-5 worker in a slave job, and suddenly become a millionaire, who is financially free and can buy anything they want.

I think its a total life ruination, I prefer to remain a slave of the system, rather than becoming a millionaire, because it is very trendy to be a slave.
