4341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 10, 2021, 09:09:33 AM
This is a great fight. Well, if this pushes through. I would want to see this fight rather than Garcia versus Haney. The latter might go the distance. This one, however, is definitely going to be explosive. One of them will certainly end up KOed on the canvas.

Garcia is acting like someone who's tasted blood and wants more. If I were both of these boxers' promoters, I'd sit down and plan on how to make this happen.

I'd probably choose Garcia over Davis.
That's they problem though, sometimes boxing politics gets in the way of great fights.

And do hope that they fight up until in their prime, in the next two years.

Garcia is a warrior has proven against Campbell and so is Davis, so yes this will be an explosive fight that every fans are waiting to see.
4342  Economy / Services / Re: [HOLD] Bitamp Signature Campaign | Full Member & Hero/Legendary - $25-$50/Week on: January 10, 2021, 08:51:36 AM
So is the campaign in the past usually in HODL mode this long?

Brad
If you have been in their ANN thread, they said that they have limited funds to run a promotion. And this is the reason why the signature campaign run at irregular intervals.

4344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is EOS? on: December 28, 2020, 12:32:47 PM
The hype has died down on EOS already, there are many crypto that is better now that's why it didn't have that much movement as of late. And probably it's investors has move on others, lots of promise when it was released though, supposedly ETH killer, Lol.

There could be pumps along the way, but that's it, unlike many new coins that continue to goes up like ADA or LTC for instance.
4345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 28, 2020, 11:49:27 AM
I am also curious how long Federer thinks he can continue playing tennis. You sometimes see football players continue for a long time, but tennis seems more difficult to me.
Lots of fast, explosive movements constantly. He has so much talent that he can continue for a few more years, but he will slowly have to say goodbye to the absolute world top.
At some point he really needs to decide, whether this year or next year. You can see his body now, and how it response to rehab and it's not looking great to be honest. And he already said that if he feels he doesn't have anything left it the tank then he will retire.

Most probably he is chasing another grand slam or the olympics next year before he finally retire. Or maybe just waiting for those young guys to step up their game which is already happening this 2020.
4346  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: December 28, 2020, 11:29:06 AM
^^ Definitely, Electrum is on top, light weight, SPV wallet, and then bitamp, of course, your product is new that's why it's hard to compete against Electrum. But it doesn't mean that you can't corner some bitcoin users to take your wallet for a rest and test it. Just like what most of us did and I would say that you could have satisfied customers already. And you will see in the feedback that they are actually breaking it, sort of finding vulnerabilities which is a win-win situation.
4347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacked Exchanges since 2011 on: December 27, 2020, 11:01:03 PM
Not sure if this has been brought up:

Important! EXMO Security Incident Update

Not so known exchanges, losing 5% of their total funds to the hackers? This is huge hit on them,

Quote
Dear EXMO users,

We have spotted some large withdrawals since December 21st at 2:27:02 UTC.

We are still investigating the incident, but as of now, the security audit report showed that some amounts of BTC, XRP, ZEC, USDT, ETC and ETH in EXMO’s hot wallets were transferred out of the exchange. We reacted immediately and re-deployed hot wallets. The affected hot wallets comprise near 5% of the total assets. Let us stress that all the assets in the cold wallets are safe.

I agree with @fillippone, as hackers are stepping up the game, exchanges will need to continue to raise the bar otherwise hackers are going to pick them up.
4348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Knowing about this forum will help more on: December 27, 2020, 09:35:21 PM
It's because those newbies really learn from following their favorite crypto influencer, and didn't do their own research. So if they saw some tweet, didn't bother to look, they just believed what that person says and later found out the hard way that crypto is not a get rich quick scheme.

But I would agree that this community is the best source of information and discussions of crypto, everything under the sun and you will learn a lot for more experience traders and investors.
4349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any relationship between Gold and Bitcoin ? on: December 27, 2020, 09:09:46 PM
I believed that every market globally is connected to each other including Gold. We have seen the negative effect of Covid-19 in March, all of them went nose diving. But there are also proponents that there are no correlation specially in the last couple of months wherein bitcoin was really on a super fast rally. I will advise you to read threads for reference:

4350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TWT chance to pump 0.5$ on: December 27, 2020, 08:35:52 PM
Why are you asking if the price will reach such a value, if you are really buying and holding for long term, just bag up and hold for long term and you will have nothing to worry about. Though, the token was recently airdrop to binance users who traded between 14-12-2020 to the last day it was airdrop ( I stand to be corrected ).
What worry me about the token is that, it's not listed on Binance yet despite been own binance trust wallet and they also direct every individual holding twt on binance to withdraw them otherwise they will be automatically lost.  Cry Cry Kiss
It's because they is also kind of shilling, Lol. In any case, as someone says, usually airdrops put a lot of selling pressures on any coins/token as those who received it my dumped it hard. On the other hand, if it is back by Binance then there will be a lot of hype around it and maybe, just maybe it has chance to reach $0.5-$1.00. Not a financial advise, still up to the OP to make the final decision, but if you can ride the hype around it, then why not be a bag holder.
4351  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 340k USD Q1 2022 on: December 27, 2020, 02:47:27 PM
It's to see where the price could be in 2 years because no one has the crystal ball here.

But in any case though, I believed that we might also see the four year cycle broken, i.e from 2017-2021. There could be new highs in 2022 as well. So it could be like five to six year cycle now as the exponential growth might take so long to even achieved $100k or even more. Nevertheless, if we see the price continue to steam roll till 2021-2022, then who knows, maybe $300k is just waiting to be touch.
4352  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: December 27, 2020, 02:27:51 PM
Maybe creating some sort of activities which can create an engagement to the site itself like running a referral contest which gives a rewards to the person who got more sign ups on the site and I think more good(But this is just a suggestion only) Cheesy.
Good idea, maybe when the exchange feature ready, this promotion can be done to attract many users using the wallet and exchange, but as far as I know currently Bitamp does not have a referral feature.
Yes, this is good, but as bitamp said before, they have limited budget to work with right now that's why these haven't expanded their marketing except for a couple of youtube videos and this signature campaigns which has been going for months now with occasional paused in between.

So maybe their priority is to promote their product here in our community and expand later.

In any case, bitamp is a good wallet, very user friendly. And yes, belated Merry Christmas to everyone and happy ATH.
4353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No price correction for bitcoin? Did it already happen? on: December 26, 2020, 11:13:53 PM
Is it weird that there still has not been a price correction for bitcoin? What does it depend on?
There are no correction because obviously, no sellers in the market. I think we will have correction if there is a bad news, but so far all crypto related websites reported all positive that's why the price continue to go up and new all time high are going to be set before the end of the year.

And also, the bitcoin narrative has change a lot, still a speculative asset, but investors are getting smart because of the whole "companies investing and used bitcoin as an hedge". So these companies are not going to sell for a profit, they are going to be long term holders.
4354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: December 26, 2020, 04:55:57 PM
A new name wants to fight Whyte:

Hunter: I Want Dillian Whyte Next But Really Anyone Can Get It

Quote
“I would love to fight Dillian Whyte,” Hunter told Fite’s Matt Striker following his win, which aired live on Fite Pay-Per-View.

https://www.boxingscene.com/hunter-i-want-dillian-whyte-next-really-anyone-get-it--154307

Looks like Whyte is now the sweepstakes in Heavyweight, Lol, anyhow, I don't think his name rings a bell to me in that division. Whyte might be looking for a more established name in heavyweight not name Joshua, Wilder or Fury.
Nah, the sweepstakes is still Fury, then Joshua. It's just the circumstances surrounding him right now had attracted a lot of heavyweights that is looking for big fights, like Hunter. But we all know that Whyte won't choose him. It's either Povetkin or other big names.

Like what the other posters said, Ruiz Jr will be a good fight for him to show his talent and be the next in line for title fights. And if he won, and Povetkin has fully recovered then they he can continue with his revenge fight.
4355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New ATH, New ATH, New ATH on: December 26, 2020, 04:28:25 PM
We have crossed $25k and it’s another ATH? Well, it’s not anymore when we broke the 2017 ATH. I don't have the feel before that as I was not much involved with bitcoin before 2018.
Everyday, we see ATH now but I don't think it feels like the one which take a lot of days.
How do you feel exactly when you see new ATH each time and how do you feel when you see ATH broken after long break.

Still 5 days before end of 2020 and I think bitcoin will continue to increase and it's really great to see the current value of bitcoin that keeps on increasing. But, I still wait for correction so that I can buy again in a cheaper price.
Correction is bound to happen.

But yeah, let's celebrate seeing the price breaking the $25k barrier. We have a lot of arguments before and I would say that people do think that it is not reachable in 2020, but here we are right now. A little more push and we are in the $30k. I'm also very happy to see my my portfolio growing in terms of fiat. Nevertheless, I won't move any single satoshi, probably if we go to $100k or more then that is a different story. Grin. So again, congrats to everyone who have stayed in the market and continue to HODL.
4356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is said to be One Step ahead of Bitcoin on: December 26, 2020, 04:02:29 PM
Didn't click on the link however, I don't think that Ethereum can surpassed bitcoin.

(1) Bitcoin is the prime mover of crypto, and as such it will continue to enjoy the support of crypto community, no matter what.

(2) There's no need to compare though, Ethereum has different used, it was build as a Dapp while Bitcoin as payment system, although is has evolved as store of value now. And Ethereum is so much faster, prior the the fees increasing in the last 6-8 months because of ETH 2.0. So now they have a problem with scalability same as bitcoin.
4357  Economy / Speculation / Re: All in the name of money making on: December 26, 2020, 03:33:53 PM
Many came into crypto space to earn money but some are too deep into making it big with crypto investment so they always feel like not getting enough when the coin they invested money in pumps high, they want to earn millions from a single project, I've seen few people ending up with nothing going down this part
Not just many come to earn money, but most of them thinks it's a get rich quick scheme, which is not. We hear this kind of mind set specially in the bull run. Even others quit their job because they think that can make easy money here.

The fact is you don't have to make thousands of dollars from a single project, they can always come from different projects, also it's wrong to depend on a single project
Of course, you can earn from a lot of projects you invested, from top 10 altcoins to shitcoins (assuming you know when to enter and to exit). Rinse and repeat.
4358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 26, 2020, 03:11:46 PM
I would erase the Bucks, they are only good in the regular season.

They need to prove me wrong first.

I don't know what Bucks will do in play-offs but for Yesterday's games Bucks was a clear favorite against Golden State. This 39 point difference win is no surprise. Bookmakers gave only 1.10 odds for Bucks.
Klay is not going back soon, so Warriors can't even make play-offs this year.

All I hope for the Bucks is to improve and be more competitive in the playoffs.

Last season they are the best team in the regular season but I think this season is different, and they might not even finish the top 1 in the East as we have the Nets who are also doing pretty well with the leadership of Durant and Irving. honestly, I like this way so people's attention are not only on the Bucks, and less pressure on their part, especially on Giannis.
They probably finished in the 1-3 spot but won't dominate the East just like what they did in the last 2 years finishing as the top seed in the East. They also had a couple of changes that didn't improved them, while Nets (with KD) and the Celtics and even the 6'ers upgraded it will be hard for Giannis to dominate again.

But the most important is how they play in the playoff because they usually choke.
4359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you stake...? on: December 25, 2020, 04:12:11 PM
I think you can stake with the same IP address at the same PC using a single core node.

So definitely there will be no problem with two separate PC with the same IP address. But it's better to know what crypto you are planning to do this kind of setup because every staking might have a different protocol. So our advise might be wrong here.
4360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another invesment bank plans to invest on Bitcoin on: December 25, 2020, 03:26:42 PM
I've always wondered why this kind of news appears when bitcoin prices are rising. Why didn't they offer people to buy bitcoin when it was worth 4-5-6-7-8K?
All this makes me think that the price will fall soon!
Maybe there are companies who already invested when the price is still that low but didn't get any media attention. Remember that when we are in a bull run, every news counts that's why we will hear them more often in a positive sentiments to boost the price even higher. That's why crypto media says that bitcoin narrative has change because after the price hits $15k-$16k, this news comes out making bitcoin  as an hedge, besides being a speculative asset.
