4341  Other / Meta / Re: Are these members merit sources or what they're doing is OK? on: March 28, 2018, 05:16:58 PM
Again and again
Why the hell do these people abandon everything?
Merit was added to prevent spam because users have to deserve their rank fron quality posts, not from donations. Those people donate merit and are absolutely against theymos's idea.
You'll say one merit is nothing but no, I would say: thief is thief, it doesn't matters what he/she steals, pepsi or a car.
4342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [2018-02-12]Bitmain To Release Ethereum ASIC Miner F3 With 72Gb DDR3 Dram In Q2 on: March 28, 2018, 11:59:10 AM
Not sure about how it is possible to crack Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm  but I'm more than confident it wont be a profitable business for Bitmain or any other party who attempts to do so.

First of all, this is a crack, ASIC is a crack by definition and bitcoin's SHA2 is a cracked algorithm. It is never a good news for an algorithm and its users that it has been broken by a specialized devil chip.

Bitcoin has tolerated this crack because it has no other choice, this community is too divergent to reach a consensus about such a big issue, changing PoW algorithm, but just take a look at Monero, they will change their algo in a matter of weeks and nobody will care about a Monero-Classic (whatever) dominated by Bitmain ASICs and abandoned by the lead developers.

It is why I don't believe Bitmain to do such a crazy risk. developing an ASIC is a hell of an investment and Vitalik Buterin is not the one who you should mess with. They have not devised an ASIC resistant algorithm in Ethereum.org to be simply broken by a crazy investor. They won't say: Well, let Bitmain take control we will switch to PoS eventually.

Ethereum is not bitcoin, you can not, you should not touch it without double checking everything with the community and the dot ORG and believe me they don't like ASICs  Wink

Oh man, do you really believe that Bitmain will listen to society here? Just see why is their account tagged by DT members.
Also it's another thing what you have to do and it's another what you actually do. Bitmain really don't cared about others, their only aim is to get control on things and get huge profit too.
So I bet they will release asic for ether.
4343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the markets are being manipulated right now? on: March 27, 2018, 07:40:24 PM
Why? Why not

I've heard both sides of the argument and to a certain extent, they both make sense more or less.

Thoughts?
How many players are in market? Aim all of them is profit, huge profit. Anything wouldn't be manipulated from the very begining but now, market is manipylated of course. For example let's see bitcoin, ether, litecoin and etc. What do you think, these coins can bring big commercial benefit and will BIG players just close their eyes?
4344  Other / Meta / Re: Soliciting opinions on how to deal with suspected merit abusers on: March 27, 2018, 06:39:12 PM
Tagging them? Not a bad idea but wait.
What about to leave merit abusers without right of sending merit to someone? And make this option available fot DT members? Also add them in SMAS list.
Another way is to have something like Merit moderators who will review if merits are legit or not.

Now I won't be loyal down below:
Ban their account and IP = less attempt of merit abusing.
Be very strict if loyality doesn't works.

There won't work anything more effectively.
Imagine, why we need merit abusers? They will never/ever be valuable for forum. Serious persons won't do silly things.
4345  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you want high price of bitcoin after all? on: March 27, 2018, 02:46:07 PM
In fact, the high or low price of Bitcoin is not an obstacle to trading, but because of the low price of Bitcoin, all the altcoins are almost died. The $ 15,000 level is the ideal price for Bitcoin. The market is stable for that price is an average value.

I think 8K is ideal price for it. What did we get on 15K? High fees.
Seems real reason for everyone wanting high price is more profit but I hate when some people posts like they are patriots of bitcoin while their only aim is huge profit.
For me price doesn't matters because this is greatest payment method.
4346  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁3 NEW COINS★★★23nd BILLION BETS PROMO★★★🎁 on: March 26, 2018, 10:21:11 PM

Welcome back, but it seems that it is a real roulette which is different from the old bitsler's roulette (As I remember it was social roulette). Not a fan of roulette game though, but it is always nice to see something new on bitsler.
So will you offer a good promo for this come back of the roulette?  Grin
How much time was there roulette off? I didn't know this, I thought they add something different.
Seems now this game needs rotation on smartphones in order to play and I tested, it works perfectly.
panjul07
It's really pleasent to see anything new on bitsler but I wish they would develop more quickly. Will be great if they add poker or even question emong their users to which game they want to be added.
4347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your 24 word phrase? on: March 26, 2018, 09:30:51 PM
OP do you really have to be afraid so much? Ok, it's your decision (still can't understand why do you want so much security).
You have written so much reasons, the only way I can think about is to include that very small piece of paper where would be seed under the skin by some surgery, there is no other so safe way. Or just remember it and then burn but I bet you are afraid you'll forget it.
Another way is also just write some part in some areas, I think no one will understand.
4348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best cloud mining platform on: March 22, 2018, 10:50:05 PM
Hi guys!
Perhaps I was looking bad but I didn't find the right topic.
What would you recommend for cloud mining? I have heard positive reviews about Rockwall.Investments that they are solvent and can be earned. Have you used? Any opinions?
Thanks for your answers  Smiley
At first you aren't looking for help, all you want is to promote that shit website. Don't say that you really ask for a help/advice, are you so silly to be unable to check website's whois or doesn't even name/domain tells you nothing?
Any opinion? Well, shit website with shit owner, that's all. Forget that, nevermind.
4349  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Jamalaezaz is cheating ICO's and bounty hunters - WITH PROOF!!! on: March 22, 2018, 10:18:30 PM
What I can't understand is that why do people hire this person? Can anyone show me his successfully managed campaign?
I have never been interested with this person or what he does here but I remember people were claiming that they didn't get paid and if I amn't wrong he has similar situation with many campaigns.
Person without any experience after managing campaigns here for year, how?
4350  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Fcbk, Google, and now Twitter? on: March 22, 2018, 09:45:59 PM
I think this should be taken as a chance for other platforms such as snapchat and telegram to use this chance to grow their citizens as all people who deal with cryptocurrency will have no choice but join them. Though it will be hard to adapt it but after all time heals, let's wait and see
Won't be a correct action from opponents to my mind. There is a reason they all together decided to ban crypto adverts and that's because there are many scam ICO projects, they aren't company which don't cares about their own image. Such a big companies which claims to be leader in their industry, mustn't promote scam projects.
4351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2018, 08:25:24 PM
Always hear these words: Why aren't women in......
Let's explain, you may know these hormones: Testosterone and Oxytocin. Men have higher testosterone and that's why we build muscle easily + are more anxious, strong, confident and etc. When it's high in body and we don't spend it in some activities, it affect our brain in a great way. Women have higher level of Oxytocine - a hormone of love. That's why they are more emotional and it's easy to manipulate them by telling lies and etc.
That's why men are more interested in many things and women prefer to have a quiet life with their loved ones.
4352  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 3 Bitcoin Casinos for 2018 on: March 22, 2018, 07:37:08 PM
I would not jump to any conclusions that this is a paid article (not really an article in my eyes atleast). What if this is just this users preferences? Not sure why everyone is going so harsh at him either.

We are all advertising for different casinos and I assume that we all believe that the one we advertise for is the best, but if you were to look at it objectively (If that's even possible), I guess that perhaps none of our casinos would make that top 3. It's hard when it comes to rating a certain category of sites since we all have different tastes and different needs. I can hate the UI of certain sites that are highly praised and that can ruin the entire experience for me.

Just take it chill and instead of bashing the newbie guy make your own list and present your own arguments as to why your 3 picks are the best ones. No need to throw dirt on any other site either, just lift up what you think is good and that should be enough.
Why do everyone harshes at him? Because he said that those casinos are top 3 while they aren't and it's very fake from the begining. This user's preference doesn't means his choice is 100% right for whole community.
As you say we are all advertising for different casinos and yes, I advertise Bitsler and you - FJ. This doesn't means Bitsler is best, why do I have to think so? Because I advertise?
Then let's say I advertise Metacafe, why will I think it's better than youtube?
Of course there is no need to throw dirt, we have to be polite and appreciate each other.
4353  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Best way to profit from Cloud Mining - BitForx.com [Official Thread] on: March 22, 2018, 06:57:08 PM
What a nice words, this makes me to invest in cloud mining but wait. I don't have to pay for electricity? I don't have to worry about noise? I don't have to worrt about anything, just sleep and get money?
Man, what a lie. Cloud mining is profitable for offerers, not for investors. You lie customers with that beautiful worlds, you aren't crazy billionare to give us free money.
And you know it, if you still don't understand why we don't have to invest in it and what's cloud mining, don't hesitate and ask me, I'll make everything more clear.
4354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recently started to try HDD Mining on: March 22, 2018, 06:12:02 PM
Okey, i told you guys that i would come back after i mined both BURST and Storj for a month. Here it is : BURST is shit, it pays NOTHING and the coin itself is pretty useless. Storj on the other hand, it pays OK! Its definetly profitable if you only count electricity used for HDDs. The program used is also nice to use and user friendly. Delete ur BURST mining and start with Storj.
I have no experience in HDD mining and never/ever got interested to try it. Btw is burst really that shit? Because on Bitsler (gambling website) there was a massive request to add this coin as another currency for gambling.
How much profit do you get on mining storj? And on burst too?
Would continue old GPU mining, that's best to my mind.
4355  Other / Meta / Re: Why Online status isn't in real time? Why? on: March 22, 2018, 05:34:54 PM
I had this issue hundreds of times. whenever I reply to a thread I found that the person is no more online but status keeps showing that green sign(Online status) for quite long time. It should be in real time.
In idea it's real time but it doesn't refreshes statistics in every second and that also would take a lot of server resources.
On another side even FB doesn't shows in real time, for example when I close it, I am still shown online for 1-2 minute.
Hope that's not a big deal for you, forum doesn't needs to waste resources on that function.
4356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinmarketCap is BIAS in Listing on: March 22, 2018, 04:07:27 PM
One day they will destroy themself there are lot of such service and they think there is still there monopoly.

Agreed, there are really better websites too + with great design. Coinmarketcup has very bad template and also remember the fact when they removed Korean exchangers without any warning, price of all coins dropped. Even this fact didn't affect them and that's why they think they are monopoly.
They have account here too but aren't active so don't worths to post in their thread or PM them. Do what others suggested..
4357  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: March 22, 2018, 10:49:38 AM
Does the stability of price matters when you use it as a payment way? No because you can exchange it immediately. It's unstable price is best for traders because they make good profit with it.
Stable price can even increase number of bitcoin's users but let's leave it like it is because it's great in this way.
4358  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: March 21, 2018, 11:05:00 PM
There will be a looooooooooot of new contests soon  Smiley

Could you please comment on withdraws taking such a looooooooooong time??  Example: withdraw request in October getting processed in February.
TwitchySeal
You have made my day Cheesy Laughed a lot, thanks
Can't wait to see what contests are you going to introduce. Oh really, since I don't watch gambling threads often, I want to ask here, just remember something: As you said you would give away some btc for people who would promote FJ in real life (sorry if miss something or not fully currectly). Did anyone won here? If yes, who and for what?
4359  Other / Meta / Re: List of sMerit Giveaways/Contests in BCT (Updated March 05) on: March 21, 2018, 10:28:33 PM
Here is another thread with merit contest  Wink It is active until spending all of my sMerit
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3163454

Is this a legal thing to get a merit? I read some posts about redtrust given for merit. I am still not very clear on the giving of merit to the contest. Please give me a reference so I can find answers to my questions. regards

That's for merit trading, merit buying, or other kinds of cheating on the merit system. These contests/giveaways are aimed at giving merits only to quality posters, exactly what the system was supposed to do.
Merits should go to quality posters, instead of Shitposters and, sadly, it seems like these giveaways/contests are the only reasonably effective way to achieve that.
~snip~
Don't blame me for this but I hate merit giveaway threads. Have quality posts? You'll get it from other users who are interested in threads you post and your post is interesting for them too. Want merit to rank up? Try hard.
Why do we have giveaways? To make ourself appear high in others eyes?
OP is it so hard for you to find people who deserves merit while you post?
If we want merit system to work, let's avoid these giveaways and let it work like it had to be.
4360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What if everyone withdrew their coin in fiat? on: March 21, 2018, 09:38:35 PM
I think it is something similar of this question: What will happen if everyone burn their paper money?
It won't happen I bet so I think the same about bitcoin, not everyone will withdrew their coin in fiat + remember that there are some lost coins + satoshi nakamato.
Even if we consider this fact, high demand = low price and finally this coin will fall and destroy if everyone sells. But remember, exchangers won't do that.
