4341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Different level of risk in crypto currency trading on: October 24, 2020, 02:52:08 PM
The are different types of trading. Spot, Margin, leverage, Future and Options etc... requires less capital amount and gives the opportunity to win a big amount.
These types of trading also comes with a risk of losing all your capital and sometimes more than that.
This is why you see the alerts on some coins saying it is a high volatility coin.
4342  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Survey]Do we need to provide KYC documents in any cryptocurrency exchanges? on: October 24, 2020, 02:38:25 PM
I would try my best not to give KYC details to any exchange and I would rather find alternative ways to do the exchange.
But if there is no other way around to perform the particular transaction then I will not hesitate to give the KYC details.
This is because of 2 main reasons

1. I am not doing anything wrong and so I would not be afraid to do any transaction
2. I would be using the best reputable and safest platform to whom I would be giving the KYC details.

Despite these reasons if there's something unfortunate that happens then I will be prepared for it.

4344  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should not use Paypal for Bitcoin on: October 23, 2020, 02:15:03 PM
We all know how scammers used to scam the people by doing cryptocurrency transactions and then reverting the amount back to their wallets.
Paypal didn't do anything about it earlier and now since paypal has accepted crypto payments this will give scammers a bigger opportunity to scam the people.
It would be wise if we don't use paypal for crypto transactions at least until it becomes fully stable and a well established platform.
The major thing to consider would be "owning the private keys" as we won't be able to do that on paypal.
So holding the cryptocurrencies on paypal itself would be a bad idea unless you are buying/selling crypto and then transferring it to a wallet where you can own the keys.
4345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Terror Attack Related With Bitcoin - INDIA on: October 23, 2020, 02:00:52 PM
If not bitcoin then there would have been some other method which those people would have used to fund such a terror attack.
The motive here should not be to ban cryptocurrencies but to regulate it in such a way that these types of terror attacks can't happen at all.
Secondly, the Indian Government and RAW should be aware and well prepared for such type of activities as these can happen any time.
Though the method of payment and funding such an operation does play a huge role, banning a payment method just because of that is a wrong thing, instead they should fund a way to restrict such an activity through cryptocurrency in India.
If the same operatin would have been carried out through cash then am sure they wouldn't been banning cash.
4346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 256 bit encryption cracked ... does it affect Bitcoin security? on: October 22, 2020, 04:34:18 PM
We are using much stronger RSA key. Funds are safu
Actually, we are not using RSA (Rivest Shamir Adleman) algorithm at all in fact we are using ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm).
Though RSA and and ECDSA both have asymmetric encryption, they do have their differences.

RSA uses prime factorization method for it's encryption while ECDSA use elliptic curves.
It is already proven that ECDSA are better in security than RSA as of current methods of cracking.

But He risked everything for that and i will never do same as what he did.

I am afraid of losing because for me Money is far important than playing to gamble.
As I mentioned in my post I was aware of what I was doing and gambled with only how much I could afford to lose.
I did not risked everything and I won't ever do that since it is against my principles.
Also, if you are afraid of losing and if money is important to you then you should not gamble at all.
I know the value of money too but I keep aside a certain amount of money for gambling.
And I know how losing money feels so my advice to you would be not to gamble if you are afraid of losing.

It is very common.
Always keep a plan in line , if you did loose considerably make sure that you have a back up game or games if you may. Games like :
Crash
Or skill games like : Black Jack
If you have lost a considerable amount you should realize that it's time to switch from those fun games to these ones.

Now why crash ?
- see you can make small bets and withdraw even after 3 seconds , 2 seconds , 1 second , you will still win. Be faster than the Canon , as fast as it goes you have to be alert and just withdraw fast. Keep on doing that for a long time .... See it takes time for sure but it's fool proof , even if you make small bets you will be okay in matter of 30 min-1 hour.

There are many other games like for me it's Crash , you might have a game that you are good at. The one you have some method of winning. Use them !

Plus if the loss is too serious , STOP.
Learn how to STOP.

( I do believe a good gambler is the one who understands when he needs to rest for a while. )
Control your brain , don't let it control you.
Same here bro. Crash is my favorite game and the game which I am good at. If not good at least I can break even at it.
The other game is Dice. The amount I lost was in Dice  Grin but it's okay. I can afford to lose that amount because I believe I can recover that amount in crash.
And yeah knowing when to stop is a skill that every gambler should have. I knew I had to stop at that point so I quit the game and came back after 2 days.
4351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 21, 2020, 11:18:55 AM
Do you ever asked yourselves these things?
1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?

This is mine:
1. I will choose online gaming because of the convenience just like what I have said at the above, I always looking for the things that will make me comfortable when doing something, I am so tired of going outside and I don't like crowded people, I find online gambling suits my needs and wants.
2. I don't have specific value to spend but I will spend only my extra money, I know my priorities and they should be to be considered first before I gamble.
3. When I keep on losing three to five times in online gambling, I will take a rest for an hour then go back again but when talking about casino gambling, I quit the game and go home.
On the other side, whenever I have a winning streak, I will still keep on playing because of thinking that this is my lucky day and thinking that I will still win the game, I will only stop once I lose two times continuously.
4. I will play blackjack, this is one of my favorite games and I feel so lucky when playing it.
5. Reckless spending will cause a big problem, always manage to spend your money.

Most of our thoughts are same  Cheesy

1. I prefer online gambling it because I can play games while I am doing other works too  Grin
2. Only a little portion that I can afford to lose. I consider the amount I deposit on gambling site as a lost amount. If I win it then that's a bonus and if I lose it, I had considered it lost already  Grin
3. If I keep losing 4-5 times I quit and try the next day. If I keep winning, I play until I start losing.
4. My favourite games are dice and crash. I will start with a low amount and keep playing until I reach my target amount.
5. Keep patience and have self control. If you don't have either of these then gambling will eat up all your money.
4352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 21, 2020, 10:53:21 AM
It's definitely a good thing that they started it and this might also become the new norm since the pandemic is not over yet.
It will certainly not match the level of joy and excitement when people used to go to stadium to watch but it has surely become a way for people to enjoy the league while being safe and secure at home.
The revenue might be a problem in the beginning because not everybody are used to such a kind of setup but as time goes people to adapt to it.
May be in future, both the real and virtual method of watching a league will generate additional revenue than what is generating today.
Adapting to changes is what brings growth.
4353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 21, 2020, 10:38:01 AM
I guess this would have happened with the most of us ain't it ?

The other day I lost a few $ gambling on Roobet. My luck was so bad that day that when I thought of gambling a little more so that I recover the lost funds I lost more than 3 times the amount I lost earlier  Grin Grin Eventually I just quit the game and didn't play it again for 2 days. This is too obvious for any gambler and everyone can relate to this feeling.

What you guys do when such a thing happen with you ?

P.S : I did play the game again after a few days and recovered some of the $. But this time I quit the game while I was in profit.  Tongue

P.P.S : I was conscious while I was trying to recover the lost funds and I tried only till that point where I can't afford to lose anymore. I always keep in mind the amount that I can afford to lose.

Crash is my favorite game on roobet. It is very similar to bustabit. I had been playing bustabit for many years.
But to be honest, I can't really win this contest because as soon as the graph goes high I get goosebumps and I exit  Grin Grin
It's quite a nerve wrecking game. Will edit this post with my highest multiply in some time.

4356  Local / India / Re: INDIAN ECONOMY, POLITICS & SOCIETY on: October 20, 2020, 08:03:50 AM
Thanks for creating this topic. Though we don't have a dedicated board for discussing politics happening over in our country, I feel like topic can be used as a narrative political speech topic over the years to come along (like the WO thread) instead of creating a separate topic now and then for discussions. As far as our country is concerned, we have completely ruled out the job creating culture and more focused on getting a job for monthly salary. Many of us feel like, it's more safe and secured rather than taking the risk and starting up a business. This is one among the poorest mindsets which majority of us have and has been one among the core contributing factor for our country's increasing poor economy over the decades.

For instance let us consider the common scenarios which are happening over in our country for the past 2 decades

1. In the late 90s and early 2000's there was a craze of moving over to USA for higher studies and settling there permanently. Here in this case, the student finishes off his degree and moves over to USA and settles there for a $100,000 salary. This trend continued till the announcement of stricter Visa process in the Obama Rule. These millions of students haven't contributed anything to our economy rather than sending money to their parents and I would call this scenario as the beginning of our poor economical downturn.

2. Meanwhile during the late 2000's we have seen an increase of US based companies stepping in the Indian soil disguising themselves as job providers and thereby silently increase their net-worth and market share. In this case, we should have allowed only a handful of companies and similarly should have given equal opportunity for the Indians to create their own startups with announcement of various bank loans or kind of similar things. This increase of American companies increased the slave (job) count and people started earning lakhs of rupees per month immediately after finishing off their engineering degree or whatsoever. This indeed paved way for less startups and more creation of jobs which was certainly good for that decade but had a huge negative impact for the future.

3. Destroying Indian Startups by US tech giants and government : This scenario builds up on Scenario 2. Even if the students tend to start a business before they rise up, they are being destroyed by tech giants and new rules from the government. For example, in the mid 2010-2020 there were various startups to stream Indian movies legally but government and media officials prevented them stating that they are allowed to operate only outside India. This rule changed when giants like Amazon, Disney or Netflix stepped in thereby destroying the startup in the process...

Our country and its citizens has become a slave for the foreign nationals, we are overtly dependent on tech giants like bloatware and adware OS maker "Microsoft" but on the other side doesn't know what is BOSS Linux OS (An Indian OS based on Linux kernel) - well people here don't even know what is Linux instead! We trust foreign companies more than Indian companies - we are willing to work as slaves rather than creating jobs for our fellow citizens by creating a startup. If this doesn't change, we will be creating an even more poorer economy in future.

Very well written @Heisenberg. We have indeed ruled out the job creation culture and I would say that it is completely our and the government's fault in this.
There are not many Government jobs out there and we all know what perspective do people have about the Government employees.
Also, not many people have the guts to do a startup. Most people either tend to do a business or join some company and prefer doing a job.
This is where things are opposite in foreign countries. There are so many startups getting launched each year in foreign and it is the same Indian people who go abroad for studies/job to join these foreign startups later on as they become well established.

The Indian government started the "Vocal for Local" clarion during the pandemic and things started to take a turn but we don't know yet if it has actually created an impact at large scale or not.
I found an interesting article about vocal for local and how the economic crisis in the past 2 decades destroyed our job creation culture while welcoming foreign brands in India. It quotes as below

Quote
The movement, which started in the early 1900s, called for the use of locally-made products. The trend lasted for some years before Economic Liberalisation began in the wake of the 1991 economic crisis, which led to a steady rise in FDI with the entry of global brands into the country. This phenomenon led to stiff competition between the home-grown players and foreign players as the latter offered better quality products at competitive prices. Unable to compete, many small Indian players got acquired by big multinational companies. Except for few diversified conglomerates such Tatas, Godrej, Reliance, and Raymonds, to name a few, many smaller brands fell by the wayside.

4357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need help with feel-mining, scam or not? on: October 19, 2020, 05:55:33 PM
I treat every company that offers cloud mining like a scam because there were at least 50 of them discussed on the forum over the years and probably 45/50 never had any miners to begin with. Out of those who had you had to really work your ass off to make money like get a few people use your referral code and such.

They're offering miners at some really low prices which is also suspicious. Like if you check out some links like https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/bitmain/antminer-s19-pro-110th
you'll see that the lowest price for S19 is close to 3000 USD. Even the official resellers like https://www.antminerdistribution.com/antminer-s19/ have it at 2700 EUR and they are claiming to have it ready for shipping at 2200 EUR.

It's possible they're trying to sell cheap but usually when you see something for cheap there's a catch.

It's also strange that they have so much money to have all those expensive miners in stock but they can't even get their site translated. When you go to EN version and click around you'll see that hallf of the stuff is still in French. Like this part https://feel-mining.com/en/product/asic/antminer-s19 or this https://feel-mining.com/en/product/staking/loki-network

O_o You have found some good things :-).

Are all posting a weird referral code to be suspicious too?

https://journalducoin.com/guides/debuter-cryptomonnaies/comment-choisir-son-masternode/

I found the opinions of the feel-mining site:

https://foxyrating.com/fr/fiche-34209-feel-mining

https://maniabook.argentmania.com/business/bitcoin-mining/feel-mining

https://fr.trustpilot.com/review/feel-mining.com

Its a commercial website ".com" and yet the site is not in English. All of the reviews you posted are also not in English. Seems strange.
I would not even bother to do a research on a site which doesn't have the content in English.

You can try buying an ASIC miner from marketplace if there's somebody willing to sell
Also, you can try buying it from bitmain as well.

4358  Other / Archival / Re: Potential shortage of bitcoins? on: October 19, 2020, 05:40:32 PM
It's no wonder that bitcoin has stolen the limelight off most of the potential assets in the market during this pandemic.
Bitcoin has also outperformed every other assets over the last decade and is announced as the best performing asset of the decade.
This is indeed a big thing because many assets have failed to show their potential in the last decade.
Despite the huge dump in bitcoin's price it has recovered very well over the last few months.
May be this is why investors are throwing in their money to pile up bitcoins in their portfolio.
The pandemic has not even ended yet and we can see how this is ending up in the favor of bitcoin.
4359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "10 Reasons Bitcoin Is A Terrible Investment" - A pathetic attack against BTC? on: October 19, 2020, 05:26:41 PM
More than reading how questions it was fun reading the answers in the OP. Right on point for each answer.
TMF is surely has some kind of grudge against bitcoin else he would not be saying so many things against it.
May be didn't get the opportunity to buy BTC at cheaper price  Tongue
Jokes aside, we have seen many such people speaking against bitcoin but that doesn't change anything since the power still lies in the people.
Until there are many supporters for bitcoin, nobody can do anything about bitcoin. It will stay for long and probably shut many mouths as time goes by.
