4341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gamers want to use crypto in the Metaverse? on: July 15, 2022, 04:21:07 PM
According to Globant, 34% of gamers are interested in conducting crypto transactions in the Metaverse, while 16% have purchased NFTs in the past.
Fake.
Anyone who spends at least 10 minutes in any popular gaming forum or discord server knows very well that every gamer (probably 9 out 10) in the hates cryptos, especially pc gamers cos they blame miners for the GPU shortage and the massive price increase in gpus (because the demand is so high)
i do believe the NFT part, a lot of companies in the gaming industry took advantage of the NFT hype with tons of marketing and made bank

This is also the first thing that comes to my mind, I mean how can we verify the result of the survey itself? And why would the gamers be interested on crypto or metaverse.

And the same reasoning as yours, since the bull run of 2017 and then followed by the problems with AMD and other makers of GPU having shortage because of crypto enthusiast buying them in bunch for rigs and to mine crypto, there seems to be a hate relationship between this two industries.
4342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 15, 2022, 02:52:53 PM
Most gamblers that I know is very superstitions, so yeah maybe FengShui and Gambling works hand in hand. And Feng Shui has spread out, so it's not just a Chinese thing anymore, even the West practice it because it can bring good luck because you are trying to attract positivity through those arrangement to have balance and harmony. And of course keep faith that we will be lucky once we enter those casinos.
4343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 15, 2022, 11:11:54 AM

This could be good to see if Fortuna will pursue and man his words, surely a toe-to-toe fight is what the people wanted to see and we will see if Ryan have some improvement this time.

I hope so because that is the only way for this to be an entertaining fight. Ryan Garcia is surely the heavy favorite, but who knows, upset could happen in boxing anytime, so it's not a guaranteed win by Garcia if Fortuna will show that he can match the skills of Garcia.

Upset is very slim on this fight because if indeed it would happen then it will be over for Ryan Garcia's career, I mean he would start from scratch as he doesn't have the ace to call out the champions of his division. I do think that he will be careful in the first few rounds and see if Fortuna's power would hurt and if not then he would go all out in the second half but i do hope that Fortuna would survive the onslaught as i'm leaning towards a Garcia win via decision @3.25  Cool.

Or over 7.5 rounds will be a good bet to begin with, hehehe.

So if by chance the fights goes into the full 12 rounds because of Fortuna on his bicycle, then you will hit both of your bets.  Grin

I still haven't put mine yet though, nevertheless, I might tail you on this one.
4344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 15, 2022, 10:28:53 AM

I believe PPV sharing is probably the main reason why they haven't come up with a deal yet. Spence's previous PPV buys are a little better than Crawford's. Spence also has more belts to offer in the division but Crawford is the only ATG of the two.

There's no other reasons, Crawford here has to agree with a small share because Spence will not agree with a 50/50 share.
he has more belts and he has a better PPV record in the past compared to Crawford.

We get it, Crawford is also a champion but Spence have proven enough based on the numbers he have.

However, Spence versus Crawford might be the biggest payperview revenue in the history of boxing. It might be more than the payperview numbers of Mayweather versus Pacman. It would be very stupid for Terence Crawford's team to not demand a share equal to Spence's share.

I'm not sure about this, Mayweather vs Pacman did 4.6M buys, that is hard to crack. Although that Mike Tyson vs RJJ did a decent numbers in the pandemic reaching around 1.65M.

So I'm guessing maybe around that numbers or maybe it will be as high as 2.0M but nowhere close to even Conor vs Floyd or Floyd vs Oscar Dela Hoya.
4345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: July 15, 2022, 10:06:06 AM
So currently the price is $20,880 as per preev. Just want to put it here just a place holder so that we can go back here when we hit the next bull run. Maybe that time we will be in the 6 digits and finally the S2F model will be vindicated, hehehe. Very cheap price and we can get a hold of it and then what the title says, HODL. There is no secret sauce here, just the old and traditional way of investing and have a lot of patience.
4346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Online Gambling be Banned? on: July 15, 2022, 09:22:02 AM
The pandemic really brought out the best of online games whether fiat or crypto base and it really balloon to a billion dollar business even in the pandemic. Other traditional land base casino's too have to go to online because no one can go to their casino's obviously.

And yeah, there are pros/cons and this debate can go over and over again. So it's up to the government, whether they want to shut down online gambling for good, but it will take a lot of effort from them. As for us, obviously we already made a choice, we love to gamble, whether online or offline, whether we have to be entertain or have some fun or target to win big.
4347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 15, 2022, 09:00:12 AM

Yeah, and I don't think that the Suns are willing to offer him that contract, it was obvious last year. And if they can't get Durant, then they will have to suffer the consequences of allowing Ayton to leave. Or Booker might be leverage now, so it's really up to them if they are willing or else forget about the Durant sweepstakes. And good for Ayton, but there will be more burden on his shoulder as he needs to proved himself that he is all worth of that max contract that the Pacers are going to offer.

Nothing to worry in Ayton part, he already sign his dream contract and it's secure or else pacers need to

look for another option after this season, but most players are up to the money. Sorry to say, but it's no longer the same league as
before where pride is really important, it's more on the money side and how they will earn the max that they always dream after
impressing the league from their previous performances.

The younger generations though learn from the 80'-90's era. There is no security in their basketball career so they really need to get a good contract while they are still very young, sort of maximized their profits with their skills. But that is one part of the equation, they should know how to take care of their money because after basketball there will be no income for them.

So good for Ayton then, for sure he feels relieved now as he is going to the Pacers.

Seems the Suns have match the $133M offer sheet from the Pacers.
4348  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 15, 2022, 08:30:55 AM
4349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current Financial Market Condition on: July 14, 2022, 08:55:25 PM
If this is really happening then the best thing is to really invest on crypto simple as that. If we are expecting the worst and recovery might be years to come, then perhaps crypto like bitcoin will be a good investment. Why? It's because in the next two years, there will be the halving, and it's the catalyst for a bull run. So if you invest today, maybe you will get x amount of returns, instead of just let your fiat sit somewhere else like in a bank or any institutions that will not yield a good ROI like bitcoin, in my opinion.
4350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: July 14, 2022, 08:22:27 PM
I don't have any particular preference to be honest, let's say if I'm playing on a land base casino, the first slot that is free and came to my attention and I'm familiar with it, then I will go and play regardless of what theme it is. But it is new to me, then I will still try and play and get the experience. Also I look for the bet, specially the minimum bet, because there are machines that has big minimum bet for me, so I just stay away from that machine.
4351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 14, 2022, 12:04:14 PM
Nietes did his best but the Japanese is really superior and he did improved a lot during their last fight. And with that huge gap in the score, it was a total disaster for a come backing Nietes, he should have remain semi-retired. Anyhow, the future still looks bright for Filipino boxing, maybe there could be one that they will discover again and maybe be the next Manny, or Ahas or Filipino Flash that will carry the flag for them. The've been successful though in the Olympic boxing and winning medals so I guess it could be a consolidation for a disaster 2022.

IMO, Ioka is not that good in terms of skill, he won yesterday's fight because of Nietes' declined performance-wise.

Ioka is very beatable and if the rematch took place months after the first fight, the result could have been the same as the first fight.

In fairness to Ioka, he deserved that win because of his aggressiveness and being relentless in throwing anything he has last night  Grin.

Looking forward to the match between Ancajas and Ioka, this could be exciting because we all know how skillful Ancajas is and for sure he would bounce back from that unexpected defeat.

Casimero and Ancajas are now the bright prospects of bringing glory to the PH in the world of boxing.

How about Ioka vs Chocolatito? There is a good and interesting article by by Cliff Rold:

Quote
Four years into his tenure in the division, Ioka hasn’t yet shared the ring with any of the hardcore four that drove the engine of the division for the last seven years: Carlos Cuadras, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Juan Francisco Estrada, and Roman Gonzalez. To his credit, Ioka’s win over Arroyo came on the heels of Arroyo beating Cuadras but Estrada and Gonzalez in particular stand out.

https://www.boxingscene.com/timing-right-chocolatito-ioka--167629

What do you guys think of this fight? Yeah, maybe two old warriors but I guess it's not too late to see this two in the ring? Or even those guys mentioned in the article?
4352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has crypto capitulated? on: July 14, 2022, 11:33:36 AM
Just my take on the situation… If you have to ask whether or not crypto has capitulated then my thinking is that it hasn’t. My guess is that when capitulation does happen, it will be obvious and there will be nobody left wondering whether or not capitulation occurred. Very likely this event will happen in the next ~3 months. Be prepared.

Or it could happen next year, but the point being, we haven't reach capitulation yet, others might have to disagree, but if you look at the historical logs, capitulation happens a year after the start of the bear market. So for me, most likely it will be early next year and then recover some, but the market will continue to be a long and hard grind. Of course the only saving grace is the halving, but it will happen in 2024. So yeah, just be prepared for everything that the market will give us in the long bearish cycle.
4353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P transaction cheating techniques. on: July 14, 2022, 11:05:26 AM
I never experienced that thing on Binance p2p and I don't worry so much about this unless if you are dealing with unverified users or have no p2p trading history yet.

Same here, I have been doing P2P on Binance and so far the experience is smooth as I only deal with verified users and those that have like almost 99% of transactions being closed.

You can dispute if you do receive not the exact amount from what you agreed. Make sure every time you deal on P2P check the amount that you receive before you confirmed and release your payment because if you confirm and release there is no button to report or to dispute the transaction. That is why Binance added two options to remind you if the buyer sent an exact amount or not before you release.

This or you can give a feed back on the users itself and let it known that you didn't get the exact amount and maybe Binance will flag this account first and verify everything before he can go and used their platform again.
4354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 14, 2022, 10:38:56 AM
Just interesting though that the reports touches on two aspects: “hot hand myth,” and "gamblers fallacy", two erroneous believes. And take note that this article has been published in 2009, pre-pandemic and maybe there could be newer studies about the behavior of gamblers and the so called threshold losses in gambling. I'm not saying that it is not applicable to the present day, but maybe there could be new development on the gamblers mindset now, specially that majority has been into online gambling in the pandemic era.
4355  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 14, 2022, 10:07:21 AM

4356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With the hacks and Bitcoin for ransome, who's to be blamed? on: July 13, 2022, 11:59:05 PM
Now I ask though it sounds funny but to be realistic, this is the reality. Who is to be blamed for funds hacks, data leak/hack? Is it the government, security agencies or the kyc firms or the sole organization that demands all customers must under a kyc verification process. Your genuine opinions are all welcomed.

I guess you can't really pinpoint as who is to blame here, this government agencies should be working hand in hand with other agencies too. So there is no single point of entry for the hackers, maybe other government have the same exact copy of those leaked Chinese documents. For the government though, this is going to be a good lesson for them, specially how big and secretive and authoritarian government the Chinese is. For sure some heads are going to roll on this one as this has been reported in the public already and it makes the government inept and incompetent.
4357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2022, 11:40:09 PM
And when we thought that there is no trade rumor or Donovan Mitchell or at least the Jazz is not going to entertain any trade, there is a news that the Jazz wanted the following from the Knicks:

Quote
The Jazz wanted Julius Randle, Evan Fournier, Derrick Rose, RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin and 6 first-round picks for Donovan Mitchell

https://twitter.com/JohnsonWhiteNBA/status/1547224720629977088

But obviously, the Knicks decline because that's too much.

The Knicks though already got Brunson as their guard, why would they need Mitchell?
4358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 13, 2022, 11:20:25 PM
2 days more before we can see this much awaited fight and to see if Ryan Garcia has already escaped the issues in his life and that he is now back on track unlike his last fight against Tagoe where he himself admitted that his performance wasn't that impressive.

I'm looking forward that this kid, Garcia, can man up his words as he's already calling for Tank Davis next despite having an upcoming fight against Fortuna.

Yeah, saw one of his interview and again, he wants a fight with Tank Davis after that. Might be bad though because it seems that he is overlooking Fortuna, maybe he is underestimating the guy and didn't respect him? We will see if Garcia will win, or it will back fire because he seems to can't get Davis on his mouth every time he has a chance to talk to the public about his match with Fortuna.
4359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Be a Failure Even If It Hits $100,000, Says "Black Swan" Author !! on: July 13, 2022, 11:00:29 PM
So it means that we are in a lose-lose situation even if we hit 6 digits in the next bull run? Doesn't make sense though, but yeah I heard this kind of argument before and it's laughable and it seems that the author didn't graph want bitcoin is, and what is makes it successful even if it is still very young. Anyhow, we all know what he is saying is flawed in the beginning and let's wait for their next argument against bitcoin.
4360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 13, 2022, 10:40:42 PM
First half of the fight is over and if the trend continues, Nietes will lose this one. Ioka was too active throwing punches though no significant damage to Nietes but i think the former will get points from that on the judges. Hope Nietes will adjust and not abandon his jab.

Yeah, I didn't finished the fight because it's clearly that the Japanese is dominating the fight from the very beginning.

Scores of 120-108, 118-110 and 117-111 were in favor of Ioka. Nietes counter was not enough, as the Japanese was the aggressor. So Ioka has avenge his lost and it seems that Nietes age has shown in this fight and better be hanging the gloves for good.
