It takes a little longer than before but usually I have the payment the next day even after the change. Just checked and may payment for yesterday has arrived in my wallet.

good deal. but beware on rounds where you don't make the minimum payout, your balance won't carry over to the next round.
4362  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: bitvisitor scam? on: June 20, 2013, 07:53:31 AM
it worked for me until the last two times i've used it.since they switched to the minimum payout it hasn't sent me a dime. i just gave it one last try. if they don't pay out i won't be going back again.

Interesting. If only the scammers used their brains for something useful. It is actually the fault of blockchain.info for showing "watch-only" balances as true balances.

right, the scammer can't be held accountable for his actions. damn the blockchain.info! witchhunt!! witchhunt!!

Blockchain.info is a forever BETA software with its share of problems.
Add scammers to this and it makes it a boiling pot.

oh i agree. i just got done exporting 14 addresses due to uncomfirmed tx's. i kind of see it as myself "graduating" to bitcoin-qt. now im a real bitcoiner. with the help of pyWallet the unconfirmed tx's dissapeared.

feature request: on my profile, i'd like to see a graphical (simple will be just fine) time line and the periods of activity/inactivity that contribute to such.

its already there.

click profile then click show stats in the left hand corner

for example here is mine:

4367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I accidentally sent my bitcoins to the wrong place on: June 20, 2013, 12:00:27 AM
good luck. i sent a .01 transaction to satoshi dice without the recoomended fee about a week and a half ago. it shows back up in the transaction list every couple days and never confirms i tried cancelling it with pyWallet but haven't had much luck
4368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need help with pywallet on: June 19, 2013, 11:29:10 PM
ok jack jack, the issue is now solved. out of the 14 addresses i imported only 7 show up. it turns up i had never made any transactions with the others and didn't enter a label when i imported them. i retained all of my balance though. upon rescanning, it found all 7 addresses. it only picked up 3 of them though but i manually added the other 4 simply by giving them labels in the transaction history menu. restarted qt and all 7 addresses are still there. thanks again!

I figured it out. The problem is in input format, file should contain key;label, not just key
Do you think I should clearly write the format instead of showing it while hovering?

oh cool. as far as i can tell my addresses are there because when i dump in pywallet they show up, they just arent recognized because i imported them and the blockchain hasn't finished dl'ing yet. my addresses are all less than a few months old and i'm still behind nearly a year on the blockchain. maybe tomorrow it will all be dl'd and i will se if they show up then.
Do you see them in the corresponding tab in bitcoin-qt?

well, today i'm behind 4 weeks on the blockchain. so far two addresses have showed up in the recieve tab where it shows your addresses. when the blockchain finishes dl'ing, i will rescan again and see whats changed. i really hope this works because after i imported my private keys from electrum i deleted electrum and all of its files from AppData. got my fingers crossed.
If they are shown in bitcoin-qt you are safe
again, i imported over 14 addresses. 4 from blockchain two from strongcoin and 6 or 7 from electrum. all the transactions of each address are showing up but only two of the addresses are showing up to this point. probably need to rescan once it finishes downloading. i'm at 3 weeks behind so if all goes as planned it should be resolved within an hour or two. i appreciate your assistance jack jack, and commend you for your efforts in bringing us Pywallet. it really saved my butt, because i sent a .45 transaction from my blockchain to my offline electrum wallet and it sent without a fee and kept sitting as uncomfirmed. i think Pywallet solved it and if i encounter any problems i will let you know. thanks!

"DGC and ARG are merge mined"

LOL when did this happen.... was i sleeping?!?!
theyve been in discussion the past week(maybe longer i'm not sure). an alliance is planned to prevent the ease of destroying either coin. i just sit in the chat channel and observe. think one of the devs of litecoin as well as the Franko dev were present as well for part of the talks

I dont think you understand what merged mining is. The development teams may have merged but they are not merge mined
they were discussing merge mining the coins to insure network security

If this thread stops going off topic and eventually gets back on topic, here is what I'm offering to anyone who needs amazon gift cards:

I can sell a few if you're still looking for them. I normally have around $100 a week. I will do escrow. If you're not willing to do escrow, you will have to send first.

This guy right here is highly respected, well known and trusted. if you are going to buy GC's on bitcointalk, he's your guy.
4378  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Privacy is the most valuable thing that belongs to you. on: June 19, 2013, 08:23:25 AM
Exactly and I find that Bitcointalk has the most liberal policy allowing for most privacy

i'm not quite sure i understand what you mean. would you care to elaborate a bit?

The reason why most people do not use encryption is because it's too bothersome to use existing solutions like GPG. What we need is an easy (that means, no bitmessage's hashing and "takes 5 minutes to send a message") way to communicate - something persistent.

Do not use proof of work for messages. Botnets sending out email spam will still send out PoW spam. Message delivery and permanent storage should not be guaranteed - rather, read notifications is what should be.
this community should pool all of the great minds and come up with a new framework for privacy. great post TF. this deserves a sticky imo. We have to stand up for our rapidly diminishing rights. Don't know what its like down under but i can feel the noose tightening in the states.
