4361  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: I opened an Electrum wallet. I just opened. How I can remove from my PC? on: September 22, 2020, 02:59:28 PM
I think OP has some misunderstanding about the Electrum wallet. If you have downloaded from the original source as mentioned above by other users and verified Signature then you are safe. You shouldn't worry then since it's an open-source SPV (Simple Payment Verification) wallet. Same as you don't need to pay for install, use, and delete this software. Delete your wallet software and the file doesn't mean your wallet has gone if you have saved your wallet seed. Before delete the wallet, you should move your funds if there is any. Keep in mind, Electrum is totally free software and can use by anyone.

4363  Other / Meta / Re: Merit giveaway: is it a good idear? on: September 21, 2020, 05:55:06 PM
During few days lots of merit giveaway threads have been popping up on the Beginners & Help section. I had replied on couples of thread to stop such as merit giveaway threads especially those only have a few smerits. I am.not getting the exact point why its necessary to open a merit giveaway thread only with 20/25 smerits? Spending 20/25 on a few good posts will take a half-hour for general users. It's fine to open a merit giveaway thread if someone has 200/300 merits and he doesn't have enough time to spend them or merit giveaway for some technical knowledge, I will encourage to open such as merit giveaway threads. But nowadays even member ranks user with 20/25 smerits have been opening merit giveaway thread. That means they aren't reading other's posts and that's the reason why are they creating merit giveaway threads, or simply they want to gain some merits for their own.
4364  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is polymerbit a scam? on: September 21, 2020, 05:35:24 PM
Nah, I can't say they are a scammer. They have been serving for a quite long time on the forum. It seems some trusted forum members have used their service and bought products from them. Based on their feedback and experiences it's pretty sure they will not scam you. You should have talked via PM with polymerbit before making the accusation. If they weren't replied to with an explanation then the accusation was correct. Anyway since they have replied on this thread and explain about your product delivery, hope you will get a solution.
4365  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Source Application - dkbit98 on: September 21, 2020, 05:16:53 PM
Supporting your application and I believe you deserve you. I have noticed you are quite active on the forum and spreading your contributions over the forum as well. I can recall I had to wait almost eight months before approved for merit source. So not sure how long you will have to wait to become a merit source. If I am not wrong theymos not adding merit sources for a long time. So I believe he should add few more merit sources since new members have been joining on this forum continuously.

Anyway, good luck with your merit source application.
4366  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitFreezer- a self-custody wallet that lets you create a personal HW wallet on: September 21, 2020, 07:56:13 AM
I am quite curious about your wallet. But I wasn't familiar with any wallet software that has been asking for monthly fees from their users. And I am not getting the point why peoples should use your wallet by paying fees where they use free open source wallet software? I don't know if I am missing something, if so then please let me know. On the other hand, the last package price for 12 months of $10 each month. This means we have to pay $120 if we like to purchase this package. So, can't we buy a premium quality Hardware wallet which is more safer than your wallet software IMO. I am not negative with your wallet, it's just my curiosity.
4367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie with question. Please help on: September 20, 2020, 05:31:43 PM
First of all, I want to say just stay away from this project. I am not familiar with this project and just heard the first time. I am not sure if OP is shilling of their project nor want to blam. But the exchange they are listed on going to close very soon. You will see the below notification when you will click the exchange link mentioned on the project website rainbow currency. The below message appearing to me,
Quote
Dear customers,
We regret to inform you that CCH is closing. Existing balances can be withdrawn after a final check. We already started the process and ask you to check back on September 23, 2020.

I can't see YEM on CMC, so don't know if it's trading on other exchanges. Involving with them means you are risking yourself. So my personal thought is that you shouldn't involve with this project and don't shill for them.
4368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin Shilling Question on: September 20, 2020, 05:05:11 PM
Heavily shilling about a coin on the various platform would influence the coin sometimes. And yes, sometimes crypto-related news creates FOMO which has been leading to price bump. But we can't say how much percent it will up because it depends on coin potentialities. But if you are going to choose such as coin for trading or holding then you are going to take a risk with your funds. Its because the price would hugely dump after a little bump. So don't trust blindly about FUD and FOMO.
4369  Other / Meta / Re: Application to be a Merit source for Bangladesh Thread on: September 20, 2020, 04:35:35 PM
Supporting your application. I believe there should be someone from an active merit source. Since the local language isn't readable by others, so someone deserves from the same language. Although there is no Bangladeshi board, but theymos would choose you since you are managing the local thread.

Besides that, I will suggest you become quite more active, because before add you to a merit source they would check your current activity. And most likely he will not choose someone from inactive users (inactivity noticed from posting gap).

I am willing to send few merits on your listed posts, but unfortunately, my smerits are not yet filled fully. I will keep in mind this thread and will send some merits to them.
4370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how can i withdraw or transfer my money from Bijora-btc on: September 20, 2020, 02:56:06 PM
What do you advise me to do
Does that mean the amount transferred has gone
Before you transfer your BTC, you should know that BTC is irreversible cryptocurrency. That means if it gone from your wallet means it has gone forever. You can't trace scammers expect address tracing. This means you can't take any action against such scammers.

Friendly advice, don't be greedy. You should realize this is a scam site when they had asked to make a deposit in order to withdraw funds. A legit site couldn't ask for a deposit during withdrawal. Just avoid such as site, so you can save your money. Otherwise, who can prevent your money from sending it to the scammer?

By the way, sorry for your loss.
4371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rate a Newbie Crypto Portfolio on: September 20, 2020, 02:10:14 PM
I am not getting why you had excluded some potential coins like Bitcoin & Ethereum. It's fine you want to increase your bitcoin portfolio by holding some altcoins. I don't know if you have chosen the right or wrong coins since I am not well aware of their background. Just keep in mind, whatever altcoin you will choose, you should know the history and background of that coin. And you should hold at least some BTC on your portfolio. So that you will not miss it if in case bitcoin bump and altcoins dump. We have seen on the last bear run, bitcoin goes up but all altcoins dump. We should take a lesson from the past even it wasn't your mistake. We can't learn always from our own past mistakes.

4373  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful of new email Bitcoin scammers, read this on: September 19, 2020, 06:17:59 PM
I have seen the same case on the forum just a couple of days back. I can't recall the thread but the story was similar to you. Most probably someone from your known person trying to blackmail you to gain some BTC. Even hackers story is true but there are no benefits if you send funds, because the hacker will blackmail you always when he will need money. So let them do whatever he can do by ignoring this mail and you may file a case in your local country. So that the cyber department of your country would take action. I believe, if the scammer really had your device access then you would hack your BTC as well, then he shouldn't have written you via email.

Other peoples should take a lesson from here. Your pc should keep clean always and you should have confidence that your devices aren't hacked. Especially we are crypto users and we should be more careful than others.
4374  Economy / Reputation / Re: Some Guidelines when you posting a feedback. (Account sellers) on: September 19, 2020, 05:47:33 PM
Like the idea, we should write the proper reason for the feedback on why this person shouldn't be trusted. I have to admit sometimes I wrote short on the feedback especially those are obvious scammers. But to be honest I should write more details. For the account sellers, mostly I write "account sellers aren't to be trusted". I think its almost enough to realize why this person isn't trusted. Anyway, all DT member's opinions and comments wouldn't be the same, so the feedback comment wouldn't same as well.
4375  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: September 19, 2020, 04:02:09 PM
The topic title is quite interesting, don't know if this is off-topic. I am not sure how this company survey about increasing sales of engagement rings, as far as I can see in my country,  marriage and engagements have been reduced during the pandemic. It's because the government had restrictions regarding gathering many people as one place. So there are problems with the wedding ceremony and that's the reason why marriage and engagement are reduced from my country.
4376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Lockdown in every country on: September 19, 2020, 01:38:01 PM
During lockdown peoples had enough free time, so those are familiar with cryptocurrency, they are involved with trading and gambling as well. And that's the reason volume has been increased. At the same time, we have noticed a price trend going up since the use of bitcoin has been increased as well. We have been hearing for a long time India will ban crypto and so on. But I am not sure if they will ban it, and obviously, it will be a wrong decision in the current situation where developed countries legalizing bitcoin.

For my country, it has a ban from the beginning and there is no plan to legalize lately. Rather than the government taking action even who are using cryptocurrency in our country. So I am not expecting that very soon our governments going to legalize bitcoin.

4378  Other / Meta / Re: Hero Member banned permanently for pilgarism on: September 18, 2020, 04:54:55 PM
As far as I know, admin and moderators have been considered a second chance for good contributors. I have doubts they will consider unban an account farmer although it's not against forum rules. I don't know if you are a good contributor to the forum, if so, you should write more details about why you think your account should unban. Just waiting two years and evading ban with alt accounts doesn't mean anything.
4379  Other / Meta / Re: Make this forum a better place - part 2 on: September 18, 2020, 04:37:20 PM
What is the difference between revealed all the information in forum itself and host third party websites? Rather than host them, the admin could reveal all the information available on the third party website. If the admin hosts them, then it will somehow related to the forum, but now, they are individual. Since the site is their own innovation, it's better to keep far from the forum. On the other hand, the admin will need to assign someone to manage hosts for them. So, I do not agree with that proposal. Let's keep them individual and separate from the forum.
4380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why mixers? on: September 18, 2020, 06:03:54 AM
Seems it's quite hard to convince OP about Bitcoin mixer. We know the main goal of using a mixer is to cut the chain link between addresses. Do you think why should hackers split 1400BTC to 1400 addresses since he could split it by one click? Sending BTC different addresses will not cut the chain links and that's the reason why hackers using mixers to sell their bitcoin shortly. Hackers are smarter than us and they wouldn't waste their time creating lots of addresses where even they couldn't cut the chain link. Alcohol is made to treat general peoples, but if people use it in the wrong way then it doesn't mean alcohol isn't necessary. Same as for mixer, it has been discovered to hide your identity and cut the chain link but scammers/hackers using it the wrong way. If hackers do not cut the link between address, then obviously they will face problems somehow.
