If he got a real delta ball bearing fan it is better.

also san ace denki  ball bearing is very good.

some times I got delta’s on s9 miners.

Everything comes with a price, last I checked delta fans for S9 go for above $20, which is way too much IMO, I bought a bunch of cheap fans from a Chinese supplier I paid like 3$ each, and believe it or not they were pretty good, obviously nothing like those high-end fans you suggested, but the life-span of any given miner is way too short to be worth an expensive fan IMO.

The good part, however, is that most Antminer fans have almost the same size and specs, so if it happens that your S9 is no longer profitable you can use the fans on say T17 or S17.

When I ask you not to quote me please, and you continue to do it repeatedly and wake me up with notifications, you act as dick.

You have no right to ask anyone not to quote you, if you don't want to be quoted, maybe stop posting. The word " repeatedly" is a lie, I only replied to your attack ONCE  "repeatedly" can't be used for a one-time action, I assume someone who criticizes the use of the word "seldom" should know better and then you placed the feedback after my ONE reply to your attack.

Quote
And for that I wrote temp neutral feedback, and that is not a mistake.

If it's not a mistake, then why did you delete it? it's not like I stopped mentioning your name after you sent the feedback, so it's not a "temp" feedback, not valid feedback for it to stay, then what it is?  Roll Eyes

In fact, I happened to mention your username a dozen times in this thread which was AFTER you left the feedback, if you think that your feedback was even remotely right, then you wouldn't delete it, the fact that you deleted it proves that you knew it was wrong and it had no purpose, it's funny, I quoted you once to reply to your attack and you "excused" yourself to send me a feedback, I quote you a dozen times, and you deleted it.  Cheesy

It's like you admitting your mistake, but your thin skin stands in your way of admitting it.  Roll Eyes

Guys please stop arguments now. Since @dkbit98 said the neutral feedback is just for temporary to make you aware about,

He is making that up, read my reply to his false claim, if you don't believe me, ask him to show you the evidence.

Quote
so I think both of you should calm now.

I am calm, @dkbit98 needs to do 100 times what he did to slightly move me.  Cheesy

Locking this thread, if @dkbit98 wants me to unlock it he could ask via PM, or he may start his own thread of which I will most likely not participate in unless the quarantine boredom gets the best of me.  Tongue

Edit:

There is a chance that @dkbit98 actually deleted the feedback even before being notified about this topic, and thus this statement of mine might be rather inaccurate.

Quote
I quoted you once to reply to your attack and you "excused" yourself to send me a feedback, I quote you a dozen times, and you deleted it.

He might really did put that feedback to notify me, although I still think that was a wrong way of using the trust system, there are many other ways of notifying me about it, in fact, he doesn't even need to notify me about anything, I also still think he was aggressive attacking me for my opinion, but this seems like his way of doing things and it was nothing personal, and thus I shouldn't take it personally.

Maybe I overreacted because of his defensive attitude, but this is the internet, he might be trying to tell me something different from what I actually understand.

So I shall call this a misunderstanding, and case closed.

Apology for all the inconvenience I might have caused to anyone.

Stay safe.

Better rename this topic to Remove dkbit98 from DT members
Looks like you have wrong title.

Honestly, even if my exclusion was to take you out of DT - I wouldn't do it, there is an easier and a shorter route, which you admit your mistakes, try to avoid them in the future and most importantly build a thick skin, you could not take criticism from another member let alone dealing with all the scammers.

if you want to be on DT you must be open to opinions and discussions, I have criticized DT members who have been here probably before you and I heard about Bitcoin, and I have never seen someone who is so aggressive like yourself.

To me this probably the maximum amount of time and efforts I can invest talking about the broken trust system, I was a DT1 member long before you, I asked to be blacklisted from it, not because of scammers, but because of members like you who abuse the trust system, so maybe chill out, accept criticism and you won't have to waste your time on topics like this again.

Cheers and good luck.
4366  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the real use for neutral feedback? on: March 24, 2020, 04:51:23 AM
You can post red trust worded positively or vice versa - how would you say that would affect potential dealings?

Exactly my point, it's the content that matters not the type of feedback in most cases, calling someone a scammer or untrustworthy in green or black font color does not differ much from red, therefore, it makes no sense to say that  "oh it's neutral, never mind it".

I am on the same page with you for most of the other points, I still find it amusing how a member like say Lauda who left thousands of negatives got voted out of DT because of some mistakes, and a fairly new member to DT like dkbit98 who probably makes 1 good call and 2 bad once can still be a DT member.

4367  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the real use for neutral feedback? on: March 24, 2020, 04:32:39 AM
That's literally what it says on the trust page: "Other comments."

Granted a note saying that you're on someone's ignore list seems meaningless without explanation but it's a neutral... who cares.

You almost convinced me, but then I remembered that

Neutral feedbacks left by a DT are still listed on the top of someone's feedback wall.

Feedback from DT members appear to everyone who has DefaultTrust in their inclusion (That's like the majority of members), neutral feedback is nothing but
1. a positive italicized feedback.
2. a negative italicizedfeedback.

If you can leave me a neutral saying whatever you want, then you should also be allowed to leave me a neutral saying " HE STOLE MY MONEY, SCAMMER", and you can argue that it's doesn't matter because it's italicized and not red and that it shouldn't affect my "potential" dealings on the forum because it's not in red?

This is  'seldom' use of mike neutral feedback.
I now know that he is a liar or he don't know the meaning of english word seldom.

If it's not always, and not never, it can be seldom, since you seem to have all the time in the world to dig my sent feedback, what is the ratio of neutral to negative/feedback I sent? it can't be described by any word by "seldom", although I admit my English is far from perfect but at least I know how to use the trust system:Smiley

Quote
Obviously my feedback for him was just temporary to let him know he is ignored,

You keep proving yourself unworthy of being a DT member, let's keep this as a reference to be added to your future wrongdoings and to those who include you in their trust list.

not sure how the speed running on S9 and T9+, but these old model miner fan seems running longer than S9K.

I highly doubt the quality of the fans on the S9 and T9+ are any better than those on the S9k, the latter miner is indeed the worst of all, I have created a whole topic explaining why one shouldn't be purchasing Antminer S9k.

I wouldn't be surprised if the way the firmware handles the fans' speed makes them die sooner, I have not experienced that because I set static fan speed on all of them, took me a while to figure out how to do it, but not more than a few days which indeed not enough to toast them.

Meanwhile, I suggest you set a fixed fan RPMs just to be on the safe side, you can follow this guide and set the % you desire for the fans, I personally use 90% most of the time, but the % you chose is up to you, if you face any issues in doing so, ask in that thread and I will happy to assist you.
4369  Economy / Reputation / What is the real use for neutral feedback? on: March 24, 2020, 03:37:41 AM
I seldom use neutral feedback, and I admit that I might not be well aware of their "real" use, are they meant for feedback that reflects trust or are they actually "sticky notes"?

dkbit98 left me a neutral feedback states the following:

I must make clear that I have no issue with the said member putting me on his "ignore list", but I got inspired by the way he did that, which might actually answer my question above, neutral feedback may very well work like sticky notes.  Roll Eyes.

I think it takes some getting used to because dkbit98 seems to actually know how to use the feedback as his own sticky notes (except for that fact that they are a bit too public), in fact, the reason he sent me the sticky note feedback is that I pointed out his wrong action in that particular case where he left neutral feedback (changed from negative) for a newbie who said.

I use Brave extension (chromium based) SetupVPN which is very easy to use and reliable.
Just try multiple VPN providers and choose one that fits your needs.

I mentioned that the accused member does not deserve even neutral feedback for expressing his opinion:

or ~KiD~ can just continue to use his other accounts in this forum

But that does not guarantee that you won't tag him again when and if he has an opinion which you consider wrong, be it wrong or not.

Quote
You are just a fake newbie, and you are not being persecuted, just NOT trusted by me.

Does that mean you trust everyone else whom you have not tagged? It is safe to assume that 99% of forum members don't trust 99% of other forum members, this does not give them the right to tag everyone they feel they can't trust.

IMO, even your neutral feedback is invalid, with all due respect, being a forum member I don't really care who don't you trust, I care about who is a proven scammer or at least has a very high chance of scamming, the rest is rather your 'well respected' personal opinions that shouldn't be on anyone's feedback page.

dkbit98 got mad:

Why the f. you tag and quote me, and dig-up this topic?
Did you fill up your chipmixer signature quote.... good for you.
I don't care much about your opinion dude so don't quote me again please.
Thanks

And then used his sticky notes on my trust page.

Now let us all try to reach consensus on this, apparently, if it's okay for dkbit98 to utilize neutral feedbacks as his sticky notes, we all should make use of that great forum functionality.  Roll Eyes

Why the f. you tag and quote me, and dig-up this topic?

I don't understand what do you mean by "tag", anyway, I did not dig the topic, it is on the first page of reputation and I "for fun" read all comments, and wanted to point out the wrongdoing of a DT member, I can't think of a better way of doing this.

Quote
I don't care much about your opinion dude so don't quote me again please.

I don't think I need your permission to do so and if you don't want to see my posts, you can IGNORE them, I find it amusing how a DT member gets mad over other members opinions regarding his behavior in the forum, you might be fighting scammers and doing a great job but all of that does not give you an "immunity" from criticism. Sorry you got mad, was not my intention, I was simply practicing my rights as a forum member.

4372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual Mining SHA256 - Whatsminer M21s 56T on: March 24, 2020, 01:59:26 AM
Maybe he was asking this question. Said dual mining and meant merged

I think he is referring to dual mining as in GPU dual mining, which is not possible as far as ASIC miners are a concern, OP you must understand that the way a GPU works and an ASIC miner like the M21s works are pretty different, you can't use a certain resource of your ASIC to mine x algo and the other resources to mine another algo, so Dual mining as the one ETH is known for is a no-go here.

The alternative way of dual mining (although one could argue that is called merged and not dual) would be "mining" coins that utilize Bitcoin Blockchain in the means of auxiliary blockchain, where the POW that is done on the so-called "parent" chain which is BTC blockchain are considered valid work on the auxiliary/child blockchain, that coin needs to 1. Be based on SHA-256 algorithm and 2. Supports this auxiliary proof of work thing.

I assume coins mentioned by both members above qualify for those 2 rules.

Quote
Mined BTC and get 2 NMC, 5 SYS, 0.1 EMC, 1 ELA for FREE

Additionally, I highly doubt this can be done on your miner software level, the pool has to do it and give you the rewards for that, so you can't say mine BTC at ckpool and mine SYS coin at Nanopool for an instance, it is also worth mentioning that the rewards you get from those coins are pretty worthless, the good part, unlike Dual mining with GPUs this does not make your miner consume more power.
4373  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Flashing S9 Control Board Without SD on: March 24, 2020, 01:11:35 AM
With or without SD card IC/Chip it should be work except for the c5 control board.

It won't work, that missing IC is responsible for the flash, regardless of the control board.

Op depending on the Firmware version you have, unlocking SSH access might be very easy to do, Asic.to has a nice tool for that > https://asic.to/ssh-unlock/, and you can unlock all miners at once.

Once you unlock SSH and remove the signature, you should be able to install any firmware you want.

1- Cryptotalk
2-Bitcointalk

Then my post was after they released the prices on their Chinese website, but the strange thing is they knew these prices before 14:00 Beijing time, or at least this is what they told me, they also told me the international delivery for the first batch will not be 11 to 20 May but rather later around early June, if that's true, then I will lean towards thinking that some Chinese do get to sneak peek on things before even other Chinese know about them, let alone none-Chinese miners like ourselves, heck they haven't even listed the K5 miner on their international website yet.
4376  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 23, 2020, 11:56:32 PM
Hihi, it might be pizza and pasta but Italy has a life expectancy at 83.4, US at 78.9 and China at 76.7.
God knows why the difference in deaths and cases is coming from....he or the devil

You are confusing life expectancy to health, these numbers would make sense if people were dying only because of their health status which is not the case because you can live a 100 years, half of them with health issues.

The virus does not care about your life expectancy or age, it cares about your current health condition.

It might be hard for someone who has not lived around Chinese people (I did for years) to imagine how freaking healthy they are, old grandmothers there perform a lot of physical work that women in their middle age in the west find hard to do.

In my country, people start to "wear out" at the age of 60-70, my grandmother (mom's side) couldn't even stand up for years before she died, she lived for nearly a 95 years, but in the last  decade or a bit more of her life, her health was condition was terrible, on the other hand, my Chinese landlord was in her late 80s and she could walk all day long, she was even going to school at that age, this is not just a simple example on a very small scale, it's my wide observation based on years, we eat croissant and Nutella for breakfast, they eat rice and drink green tea (without sugar), so one could imagine, I have not looked at the "statistics online" but if you ask anyone who lived long enough in both sides of the world, they will probably tell you the exact same thing.

Why not turn off a piece of gear that is losing a little right now.
But when the 15% diff change happens turn it on>

This does concern me as far as the following difficulty adjustment is concerned, a 15% drop will make a lot of gears profitable again and we might not have another drop for the following 2 weeks, the price also seems to be recovering as we approach the adjustment.
4377  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: March 23, 2020, 06:23:59 PM
btc is at  6275  down from  9588 on feb 24 .......................................................................... -34.56% drop  but  miners will be getting a 15% boost in 2 days  so for miners the 34.56% drop  will reduce to 24.73%"   source was yahoo search results for prices

Mining BTC is actually a plus, it generates income, holding gold or even BTC for that matter does not generate a passive income as long as it's the price is going down.

on a side note, silver is valued mainly by production and not due to people investing in it, unlike Gold and BTC people buy them because for speculation even if they don't really use them.

1744 blocks down, 272 blocks to go, nothing really can happen to change these estimations, so 14% to 16% is almost out of the question, it's a relief to me, I hope we don't get any spikes in the hashrate when profitability increases in 2 days, mining at 14T diff for a month or two would be really good.

4379  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: March 23, 2020, 05:19:38 PM
That is not a sneak peek, but rather almost exact information. Miners are up for sale on Chinese website.
Prices are very close to what you said as well as dates (they are shipping right on halving dates).

Ok seems like my source got the shipping date off by 1 day, and actual prices now are  $2928 for the pro (off by $28), and the S19 is $2184 (off by $84), or maybe that price is for bulk orders, I know bitmain does that, are you aware of when the prices were listed on the Chinese website? because last I checked there were not there.

Also, internationally, they will be selling soon...

I am not sure if that will happen, it's a Chinese culture to give the other Chinese a lead especially when supply is somehow limited, the fact that they started to take orders from Chinese miners/resllers prior to the international website makes me think they don't have enough S19/S19 pros to deliver for the first batch.

I see only 1 speed for the pro thus I consider these to be shit gear.

This and the fact that you can't even remotely guess the profitability by the end of May, you got the virus and the halving, those two combined make me hesitate about buying any mining gear.

Also, I have always opposed the idea of putting so many eggs in one basket, despite its efficiency I rather have 2-3 S17 pro to 1 S19 pro, if you lose a control board or a PSU, you will have a 110th sitting there for weeks doing nothing if you lose a hash board after running for a month or so, that's a $1000 loss, big rich players might not care about this, but to the average miner like myself, that makes a lot of difference.
