4361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] - How to use different order types. on: August 07, 2020, 03:08:55 PM
That's a solid guide to the type of orders for trading. I would recommend beginners to know about all of these but just start with the basics.
Starting to learn to how to trade and focusing the below three type of orders will give beginners a good understanding of how trading works.

Market order
Limit order
Stoploss order

The rest are for advanced traders who always keep an eye on the market. Advanced traders already know what they are doing.
4362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain/Crypto roles on: August 06, 2020, 03:31:57 PM
I guess that would be a huge list of roles that people are in who are involved in crypto.
I am an IT guy and I have many friends from different roles who are involved in crypto.
Some are business men, few are retail shopkeepers, civil engineers, programmers, students etc..
I have friends in all these categories who are involved in crypto.
I am sure there are much more than these in the actual world who would be involved in crypto.
4363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 US Congressman wrote to IRS to ease tax on POS rewards on: August 06, 2020, 03:22:51 PM
That seems like a good news as it brings in more involvement of the US government towards cryptocurrencies.
This will benefit big investors who always wants to save tax and may be this will encourage them more to invest in PoS coins.
If so then this will benefit ethereum a lot since it is soon going to be migrated into the Proof of Stake algorithm.
4364  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Google Advertises Uniswap Phishing Scams on: August 06, 2020, 03:15:38 PM
The thing is that the google algorithm is not yet so optimized that it can detect and remove these malicious phishing ads quickly.
Google still depends on us to report the ads so that they can use that information to create a filter and allow only genuine ads on it's platform.
So it is our responsibility to be aware of such phishing ads. Besides that we should only be clicking on the links we want to visit on the internet.
Just entering any site can really be dangerous sometimes.
4365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Hackers Arrested! [Updated] on: August 04, 2020, 03:17:14 PM
I have heard quite a few times that in such cases where big companies get hacked they find the hacker and when he is about to go to jail the company hires them as their cybersecurity employee. What do you guys think ? Will these guys get a job at Twitter too ?  Grin
4366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan's Dormant accounts waking up finally on: August 04, 2020, 03:13:34 PM
That's quite interesting and I think it will surely affect the price of bitcoin in one way or the other.
If people are going long for bitcoin then BTC can increase in the upcoming months.
It might also go the other way around if people have come back to sell their bitcoins  Undecided
I really think it's gonna go positive this time for bitcoin.
4367  Local / India / Re: Can increase in Gold's volatility benefit bitcoin ? on: August 04, 2020, 02:58:40 PM
snip

PS: @OP, did you ask this question from the point of view of Indian market? Otherwise, I don't see any reason why you posted this thread in 'India' section instead of 'Economics' section.
No such reasons though. I just wanted to know us Indians look at cryptocurrency when compared to Gold.
Found some good views on both of them.
Sometimes I just post in India board just to engage in discussion with my Indian Crypto fellow mates.  Smiley
4368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what did the author mean? on: August 02, 2020, 02:40:01 PM
Moving average is called as MA for short and the author is considering a MA and is telling us to trade 100 shitcoins at once according to the MA.
He is assuming that some of those shitcoins will get us the profit and double our investment.

Well this might happen some times but it might also turn our whole investment into a loss if those shitcoins don't increase in price.
I generally don't invest in shitcoins at all since there are so many potential coins out there to invest in.
4369  Local / India / Can increase in Gold's volatility benefit bitcoin ? on: August 02, 2020, 02:26:21 PM
Bitcoin has a huge volatility when compared to any other asset.
Gold on the other hand has less volatility than bitcoin and is often the investors choice for investments.
These days the price of gold is increasing rapidly causing a bigger volatility than it earlier had.
So do you think that if the volatility rate of gold matches with that of bitcoin then bitcoin will become a huge competitor to gold.
Well it is already a competitor but I think many investors will dive in to buy bitcoin as it would be better than gold.

4370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: im crypto trader and analyst on: August 01, 2020, 06:51:48 AM
Even it were a newbie he would hardly understand what you are trying to convey because the picture is really confusing.
It would have been better if you would have uploaded a real chart and had showed your analysis on it.
It's not that hard to do it right. You can use tradingview as the others suggested.
It would ne nice and easy for everybody to understand it.
4371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk:Reward > Pip count !!! on: August 01, 2020, 06:44:18 AM
I really liked this concept of risk to reward and I am surely going to try it out very soon.
I already knew about the concept but never bothered to learn about it since I always focused only on my targets.
But now I am quite fascinated with this concept. Can anyone guide me where I can learn more about this and implement it properly.
Is there more techniques through which this method will benefit me the most.
4372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YOUR TOP REQUIREMENTS FOR INVESTING IN ICOs on: August 01, 2020, 06:10:15 AM
ICOs are a thing of the past now. Back in those days when ICOs were at peak many investors blindly invested their money in ICOs in the hope to get good ROIs. I had invested in a few ICOs myself and was disappointed too. But that didn't stop me from investing in good projects.
I always looked for projects which had a good vision and tech and ofcourse a good dev team.
I think that is what makes a project deliver a good product.
4373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your plan when Bitcoin will reach a new ATH? on: July 31, 2020, 03:07:34 PM
What is your plan when Bitcoin will reach a new ATH?

1- Keep hodling 100% of my coins.
2- Sell a big part of my coins to buy more at cheaper price later.
3- Unload all my bags on the market.
4- I will just rebalance my portfolio. Nothing more, nothing less.
5- Sell some of them to buy something else.
I am a long term holder and the first option is what I would prefer at my end.
It's well known that long term holding makes huge profits and I believe that bitcoin is bound to go big in the long run.
Along with that I am holding ethereum too since I like the tech and the team behind it.
I am optimistic with ethereum and bitcoin  Wink
4374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make `Trading` profitable? on: July 31, 2020, 02:54:07 PM
This is my long-standing question - How do you make Trading profitable?

Now let me explain the point:

I am doing trading in shares, stocks, commodities and cryptocurrencies since last few years. Most of the concepts related to trading such as Trend Analysis and Fundamental Analysis were part of my professional course which made me interested in trading since I was student. Over the years I have been able to read trends accurately many times and bought cryptocurrencies at times immediately before upward trend. But one thing is still mystery to me, when to sell?

For example, around 10-12 days ago, I accurately predicted the upcoming rally in bitcoin price and long 0.50 BTC at the leverage of 25x @ $9150. Two days later, price rose to $9350. I already made 56% return on my investment in just 2 days. Now this is critical point where I always become blank. Once I made profit, I couldn't predict whether it is good to sell or hold for more profit. No matter what I do, I always make wrong choice. Actually I sold my futures at that day but imagine if I didn't sell, my investment would be up by 538%!! Imagine the profit of 538% in just 10 days!!

Same things happen opposite too. Lots of times, I keep holding coins due to FOMO and lose the chance of making profit. Suppose if I would still be holding my futures and didn't sell them today, price may fall again tomorrow and I may have lost the chance of making 538%.

Let me rephrase my question again for better understanding: Which signals, what techniques, which movement do you consider while making selling decisions so that you always make best possible profit in the given scenario? If I chose right time to sell my futures, I would have made 10 times more profit.
Hello webtricks,

Happy to share my opinion with you  Smiley

Many times I be in the same place as yours and I often get confused whether to sell or not but from my experience I have realised that it is always better to follow your targets. If your target is to sell at X price then just sell it and don't regret.
I know how it feels when the price increases more than you expect and then you regret that you could have made more if you would have hold.
But the thing is that we must be happy with what we have and never have the greed to earn more.
Selling at the target price would already get you the profits and the market always gives you the opportunity to buy back.
So the ideal thing according to me would be following your target price.
4375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto volatile again, Whats stopping you from trying Options Trading? on: July 31, 2020, 02:30:26 PM
Well that is what you hope to happen but things don't always go as planned right.
You are only looking at the positive aspects of options trading while there are negative aspects too.
Most of the times the market goes against us and that is what fears us the most.
This fear of loss is what makes me not to try options trading since baring such huge losses is not affordable to me.
And as per the rule, only invest what you can afford to lose.  Wink
4376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances of bitcoin taking another dive? on: July 30, 2020, 03:50:52 PM
Hi there i am asking this because i took out a loan at Nexo against my bitcoin. They told me my collateral bitcoin would have to drop 40 percent before they would start selling my bitcoin if the LTV threshold was passed. For me that would be if bitcoin were to  drop to around 5900 in price. So my question what are the chances of bitcoin dropping back to below 5900 again? I know anything is possible like what happened in march but realistically at this stage and time, what are the chances of that happening and me losing all my bitcoin? Thanks
To answer your question straight, at this point of time it is highly unlikely for bitcoin to drop back to $5900.
Bitcoin had been idle in the $9000 range and it had to show a change by a correction and the price is increasing now.
It is likely to increase in the upcoming days in my opinion because there is no such reason for bitcoin to dump any time soon.
4377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kobe Bryant's death has been used for scamming. on: July 30, 2020, 03:48:05 PM
I find it fascinating and shameful at the same time.
Fascinating because just a mere image can make you a victim of a hacker to mine crypto on your device.
Just imagine the level of expertise that person would be having who figures such an attack at the first place.

Shameful because the attacker could have done this with any image but he chose a person who is already dead.
But we can't blame him though since these people are known to have no feelings at all.
4378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: July 30, 2020, 02:54:32 PM
First things first the amount of % sums upto 110%  Grin Grin

Those are among the top coins in cryptocurrencies and obviously it would be a good choice to invest in the coins to have a diversified portfolio.
Though these are some good coins, I would personally not invest in XRP since I don't like it for my own reasons.
Also, I would invest the majority into bitcoin and ethereum and I am already doing that.
I am planning on to hold it for a long term and I hope it would benefit me for good.
4379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise of Bitcoin on: July 29, 2020, 03:19:25 PM
I think it was quite expected since bitcoin had been in the same price range for quite long.
A move had to be shown to a change in the price. Many people were expecting a short term bull run by bitcoin.
Though bitcoin increased price, the altcoins suffered a good loss since many altcoins decreased in price as soon as bitcoin surged.
I guess people are moving their money from altcoins to bitcoin.
Though the price of BTC has increased I think there will be another correction where bitcoin's price will decrease again followed by a surge in it's price.
4380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Become Negative in Value? on: July 26, 2020, 02:23:40 PM
I don't think bitcoin will ever go to negative because it will never go to zero at the first place.
Even if we consider the above scenario happening the price might fall down rapidly but it won't go to zero.
There are many people who will consider holding bitcoin rather than selling it for zero.
