4364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 13k. FORECAST on: June 22, 2021, 01:50:36 PM
No stops as I have no time to make necessary analysis

Target 12400
Current price 33000
Optil 4 months,
While I agree with you that the crypto industry is a highly speculative one, I also think that $13k forecast is far to the extreme. It will really be shocking if Bitcoin gets to that abysmal level despite the influx of institutional money. I'm looking at the chart I'm sharing and thinking that could be a possible place for a rebound, taking the low of last month as support as indicated by that arrow close to the vertical blue line. The blue line is on the candle that dipped the deepest last month and that was at $29,563 on 19/05/21.

elda34b, thank you very much. I guess you're using a phone too like me to access it. Yes, you're correct it may not go through with the addition of the www in the URL and I believe it's because it's a mobile app. The desktop version may require it. One can use https instead.
4368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / How to trade on Trust wallet with the Poocoin app on: June 21, 2021, 08:12:45 AM
After my comment on this thread here, directing a user who had issues on how to make purchases on the Dapp through Trust wallet, it suddenly occured to me that there could be other users who may be having similar issue too. These users may never get to read that comment I made which actually helped out that user. This is because it was in the bounty thread of the altcoin section and my response was totally different from the topic title but it did help the user solve their issue. So, I decided to open a thread here and elaborate on that issue to help more users.

It's on how to use the Poocoin app to make purchases on the Trust wallet. It's easier than buying directly on the Trust wallet itself because of the slippage requirements which traders will have to adjust to trigger trades. Most times, the time it takes to adjust slippage percentage makes a lot of traders miss out on trades because of the volatility and fluctuations involved.

I was a little skeptical the first time I used it after watching a dude teach it online, just like a lot may be now. But when I eventually tried it, it worked wonders. Long story short:

Connect your Dapp browser on Trust wallet to the Poocoin app by keying in www.poocoin.app on the browser.

Once done, it will take you to the Poocoin trading platform. Activate it by clicking on connect, change the default Ethereum to Binance Smart Chain by tapping on Metamask/Trust Wallet (I like trading on Pancakeswap, so I go with Smart Chain). Please, remember to always use the contract address of the token you want in the search tab instead of just typing the token name. The reason being that sometimes there are tokens with similar names and that can confuse anyone to trade the wrong token. But with contract address one gets the right token. Copy and paste the contract address on that tab and it's token will appear automatically.

Then you're good to go. It displays charts and trading indicators like what we have on Tabtrader or Metatrader. You can adjust the indicators any way you want and Time Frames can be changed too. You can use the Multichart option too to view several trades all at the same time.

In fact, with Poocoin there are more and better options than what Tabtrader has. Poocoin app is very easy to navigate too. Who else is having this mellifluous and stressless experience using Poocoin?
4369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Failed in trade it's not joke. on: June 20, 2021, 10:01:45 PM
People think that crypto trading is so easy, it's like buying at dips and selling at high.
You're absolutely right! In fact, it's now a cliché to even advise anyone to buy at a dip and then sell at high because it really makes no much sense. Anyone can offer that advice without knowing jack about trading. The point I'm labouring to make here is that no one really knows where the dips or highs are. We merely speculate.

I am a HODLer not a trader since I lost every time I trade.
A hodler is also a trader but a position trader (a long term trader).

Trading is an art and anyone trying to do that must learn it before. If you are new to trading and jump with high capital then you are deemed to lose. Always start with small investment.
Again, you're absolutely correct! I'm an apostle of "learn the prerequisite skill sets for trading before venturing into it "
4370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bought £700 worth of a cryptocurrency I don't know much about, is this moonshot? on: June 20, 2021, 05:51:19 PM
Thanks in advance if you know much about ETH blockchain or this current project!
You just put the cart before the horse, instead of the other way round. A whopping £700 on a project isn't a small money to be thrown into a project without making proper investigations on the project. If you must ask others about a project, do that first before investing in it. I wouldn't take such risk if I were you.

Learn not to invest your money in such a project you can't determine what the team is up to. Moreover is a big money that you have involved in it for a project of such not listed in a reputable exchange. Your enquiry here when you have already invested is not a wise idea. Make research first before you get your money in.
Exactly my point too. I wish OP had done the DYOR stuff pre-investing than post-investing.
4371  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel happy on getting merits ? on: June 20, 2021, 03:03:20 PM
Merit is, figuratively speaking (actually, writing to be precise), a pat on the back. Everyone loves to have such moments of "well done" for a job rightly executed once people get to read your posts and have merit to throw on the posts at the same time. Otherwise, your posts pass unnoticed. That's the way I see it. Personally, I feel happy when I get merit thrown on posts I make. Once I notice that increment, I want to go back and read the posts that were merited to know what would've caused someone to merit it.
4372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WifeCoin, the only coin you're afraid to FUD on: June 20, 2021, 06:54:21 AM
Soon, we shall also have:

Husbandcoin
Boyfriendcoin
Fianceecoin
Girlfriendcoin
Widowcoin
Widowercoin...

That's if we don't already have some of them.
Come on guys, what's all these mess. This is beginning to make the crypto space laughable because of some greedy devs and their penchant for creating shitcoins.
4373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying three bitcoin worth it? on: June 19, 2021, 08:45:23 PM
If your goal is to buy bitcoin at current price then hold to make profit when you dump it at a future price (eg. the guesstimate at $250k) then the answer is no it is not worth it. Bitcoin is not created to be bought and held for profit making.
I find it very difficult to believe that people keep to this belief in reality because a lot of us are in Bitcoin for the gains (no matter how hard we deny it). If you doubt this, just check the traffic here whenever there's a bear run. You would've observed how near empty and dry this place becomes. Even though created as a payment option, Bitcoin has easily become a tradable asset for profiteering.

Rule 1 of investing: Don't invest in anything you do not understand.
This is highly valid and apt! May I also add for OP to read: Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.
4374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: June 19, 2021, 04:41:34 PM
The problem is why do newbies want to go for the new exchanges when there are established ones that are far more reliable and are guaranteed to not run away with your money. Going in with big money as a newbie I think is the biggest mistake that anyone can do especially as the topic says, you are in a new exchange.
Sometimes the newbies (even veteran members too) are pushed to do it when project's they've run bounties for give that as a condition for receiving reward worked for. I found myself in that situation in the recent past. After several weeks of bounty advertisement, the project team asked everyone to open account with an exchange which they controlled. In fact, it was an exchange the project just created once the bounty was drawing to an end. We all did. Rewards were transferred to the exchange to everyone's accounts but locked up. That project never made it. After listing it expectedly died off an an exit scam. I believe this can be one of the reasons for opening accounts with new exchanges.

Happy 30th birthday anniversary, theymos! Wish all the best for you.
Hoo yeah! So, the strong man of BTT just touched 30. I used to think he was way older. He must be the proverbial "Small body big enginee" in my local parlance. There's much sense in that youthful body, when loosely translated. Kudos man 👍

Thanks!

Now that I'm officially an old man
Oh? If 30 is "old", then 50 should be considered octogenarian 😏.

HBD, man with lots of property ahead.
4376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media advice to newbies on: June 18, 2021, 09:44:53 PM
I still can't believe how many people still falls for it. Someone I know from Discord got scammed out of $500.
It's simply greed that makes people fall to scam. If you asked that friend of yours you will discover that s/he were made an offer s/he felt irresistible. It beggars disbelief really when someone falls for a total stranger offering to help them out on their finances, honestly. But it does happen, even till date. Social media are scammers' paradise
4377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: June 18, 2021, 09:41:02 AM
I know its an individual thing, but if you are in an alt and it is pumping...when is the best time to sell? I feel as though every-time I am in a coin that starts to make some good gain I leave it to long to sell..Anyone else do that. I heard it is because of greed, we star imagining all things we can do with our new profits...
You're absolutely correct about leaving the profit to run because we start imagining things we could buy with it, the cars and posh things. Well, it's the insatiable appetite in every man. There's nothing wrong in doing that. However, you've to be certain you know why a token you're holding is pumping before selling off. If it's pumping because there's an incoming development or programme or collaboration, then still hodl it. Selling off at that point will be premature. But if a token is pumping because someone who has a large subscriber base or followers said buy, then just take your profit immediately it gets to your risk level and run for it's a pump and dump.

Does anyone have a good strategy for knowing when to sell?
There's no holy grail. Trading is speculative in nature. Your best bet will be to rely on leading indicators and if there isn't any news to distort it, price will surely do what the indicators predict it will do.
4378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is selling? on: June 18, 2021, 06:21:18 AM

I dream of the day when alt coins are not tied to the price of bitcoin. Uhg...
But this is already happening. There are certain exchanges that don't pair tokens with Bitcoin. Those days when I used to trade on Idex (a Dex kind of), tokens were paired with ETH. So, it's not as if it hasn't happened before. Even on some Cex, there are still tokens which aren't paired with BTC. Some have pairs in tether.
4379  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bite or Birth-day for Trump on: June 17, 2021, 06:52:24 PM
But I really don't know how the American society would have taken it if he (Trump) got to ban twitter operation in there space just like the Nigerian government did which is tantamount to restriction of freedom of speech and expression.
America is a saner society than Nigeria with guarded laws that can get a president impeached if he so much as violate or contravene any. In the US, there are strong institutions that make their democracy work. What Nigeria has is not a democracy but a civilian rule by a cabal and this cabal is from the northern echelon. If the Nigerian president were ruling the US, he would've been shown the exit door through forced resignation or impeachment since.
