4381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will energy consumption be Bitcoins downfall ? on: May 20, 2021, 01:47:49 PM
You can imagine the reaction from the energy consumption tweet from Elon Musk. It was as though it is a planned or an anticipated tweet as it took off immediately. The result was noticeable in less than 24hours!
Using other alts as a worthy replacement isn't the right way or a way to go around this. There was once a time when, bitcoin was mined with non sophisticated devices too. Projecting other alts would simply mean a bump to that coin and in time, another coin would step up. Thougjh, this is most likely not to happen as bitcoin faithfuls are always there to push price up.

We can rightly say bitcoin is only making use of the readily available at a good price too. Should the world switch to a more renewable or eco-friendly source, miners would too. Tesla was wrong in this one as per statistic assumption.
4382  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: May 20, 2021, 01:05:56 PM
The fact that bitcoin was singled out for this sort of scandal is what makes me believe there is more to it than the fossil fuel excuse and it didn't take up to 2weeks after he @Musk and Tesla decided to use bitcoin as a medium of payment and then this. Well, we can't entirely say Musks scientists or researchers didn't do enough research on the fact or were ignorant of the fact that, there are other institutes or companies that consumes lots of energy too.

Anyway, we can't completely put the blame on Elon Musk and Tesla as we are all entitled to our own interpretation and deduction from his tweet neither was it an investment advice. We were all sucked into Musk's perception and involvement with crypto and as such, what he says now matters. Too bad of us.
4383  Economy / Speculation / Re: About time it crashed on: May 20, 2021, 12:19:14 PM
Honestly, i see btc back in the $20K region before the end of the month.
This is a vision shared mainly by investors and hodlers in order to accumulate sats  but sadly BTC isn't going anywhere below $30k. About $31k was where it got to yesterday before the bulls stepped in to strengthen there end and pushed the price all the way to $38k where it is about today. I think its going to rally on from there and eventually get back to $50k.

Its the way of the market, a correction is always need for a healthy system as the price can't just keep going up like it was a big a bubble. A shrink is in order and I can say that is what we just experienced and its done, the least that could happen now is watching BTC slowly going back up until about $50k again.
4384  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Effects Did the Tether Reserves Breakdown Have on Bitcoin and The Market? on: May 20, 2021, 12:03:41 PM
If that is true, Tether makes money with the funds users invest when they buy USDT but leaves all the risks on the users by keeping inadequate reserves.
Am afraid this is obviously true of Tether as I've seen similar thread from a cropped tweet on this revelation and it's really bad of Tether. I I can't say they played much of a role in this bear market observed lately but then, its so unfortunate to to bank our hopes on claims such as this. Tether is a coin where we run to bank our coins worth in times like this and it was or is really helping and for as many as those who uses there service's, I think they would continue to act ignorant of this claim as further reaction could result in the bankruptcy of Tether and the breakdown of the system. In my opinion, we could manage them for the while though, the risk it poses is the more high now than ever before.
4385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: That feeling having your first merit on Bitcointalk on: May 20, 2021, 08:39:07 AM
I really can't recall what it felt like but I'm sure it felt good to actually get accredited in one of the best way possible of the forum especially as a beginner. Merits could be as well motivating as well as it could be discouraging. When you see or measure how tough it was to get one and the number needed to scale through the ranks especially when it doubles, it becomes very discouraging. On the other hand, it boost your courage when its just a few left. I wish you not to get discouraged on your journey in the forum, be careful enough to read through beneficial articles and comments in the forum and keep finding a way to motivate yourself.
You've got one and its sure to be an attractant for many more to come.
4386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to spot common Bitcoin scams and avoid them on: May 20, 2021, 08:30:49 AM
There is a way I've always loved to go about avoiding scammere and scamme platforms which has been effective to me so far. These ways are as follows:

Avoiding there platforms:
I simply live out the downloading of apps not from the official site. If I don't know the site, I ask questions on it. I also learn to be contented with the boring fonts and display of my phone. Seriously, I see no point in having a very beautifyinglauncher. It won't be worth it should it have a way of bringing me some lose.

Avoiding scammers
:
I often avoid anything free or too good to be true. Which ever investing that I can't do myself or learn to do myself or even, the project don't come by my own research and criteria for credibility, I become very skeptical about such projects.

I think you should too.
4387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join campaigns, To have a companions to success. on: May 20, 2021, 08:18:26 AM
In your first post/thread here, you mentioned about a friend advising you to use the search option rather than making a new thread for each request or inquiry;
Most of the beginners we have today finds it difficult to read, even the replies on there own threads not to talk of scanning the topics available on the boards. They view the boards and in one instant, they feel its more easier to create a topic and get the desired info mean while, they build there post count in the process too.
In a way you might be archiving your aim but you @beginners arent helping the forum by filling the boards with preprovkded information. Using the search button offers equal advantage as a reply also increase post count further more, you can ask a question in areas you need enlightenment on.

However, your dreams of joining campaign is a very short lived one and gains and benefits in terms of earning a few penny is far from the goal of the forum. Learn, get experiencedand you'llfind out that the campaigns are just pennies.
4388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price goes down below 40K and how much it may go down? on: May 19, 2021, 09:47:28 PM
The bitcoin market is one that operates in a consensus of traders actually flow a part. Yeah there might be news, critic statements and more than could create an impression on traders on where the market is to follow, operate but for there to be a reaction, there must first be a consensus and it is individually done. This is why bitcoin is known to prove people wrong.  The fact that though thee sentiments can be created by a single individual or company,  the reactions are collectively expressed on the charts.

If I'm to make an analysis of the market now, I'll say it has reached a pivot point and any moment from now, it wouldnbe aimed at a reversal. The low for a bearish trend was at $40k which was broken but, we could see a speady recovery that tends to follow. So, I guess this trend has had its session and we should expect a reversal soon.
4389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: holding is not an easy thing on: May 19, 2021, 09:35:08 PM
Out of the greatest risk comes the greatest reward, so they say. Hodling itself might not seem like a very great risk as far as cryptos like bitcoin is concerned but, its got a risk factor too. That is in the sense that, it could go down and never come up again. Is that even possible? I doubt, it especially for bitcoin. On other coins, it just might but bitcoin seems a lot far from it. Well, thats one issue with holding then,
You can talk of the of the daily needs. As long as one is living, there would always be a need that requires satisfying and which ever investment avail to the individual is a great source. As to this fact, a lot of persons finds it extremely difficult to hold a coin for over 365days.

4392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 18, 2021, 09:57:20 PM
So I thought this match was just a formality they play on schedule without any targets.
Lol, its so funny for you to bring that up but, it could actually be true you know! You know, you actually play for the points that would make a difference and actually keep the integrity of your team. So, with the fact that scoring winning or loosing makes not difference, it could just a game of honouring the schedule already set. This explains why at times you see teams playing there second 11 in major league games becuase, the game is no longer important and it could be used as a major test for the players on the bench.

Lazio by far played an interesting game, they dominated the game in most of the halfs but failed to win. Even with the awarding of a penalty to Ciro Immobile at the die minute. I guess this game was sealed for a draw though. Too bad for gamblers that went for the goal and direct win markets.
4393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: May 18, 2021, 09:46:43 PM
Wow! That's way much debt for an experience @OP. You know, its actually funny how a lot of gamblers go into gambling and believe that, they could actually win a fortune out of it! I've been there once though, your experience with the system is far worst than anything I've been through with gambling. Gambling is actually a business and it profits the owner of the platform more than it does to anyone as the odds on each game is carefully designed that way. The more you set your goals or targets on big wins, the farther or deeper you dig the hole for your own burial.

One thing is having these experience, the next thing is what you learnt and how to get back to your fit. Its always advised not to invest or gamble what you can't afford to lose. So, we must ask ourself at every point before making a stake. What would become of us should we loose the staked amount?

Let's go about gambling responsibly.
4394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 18, 2021, 09:22:55 PM
Personally, I think there was way too much extra time on the Chelsea vs Leicester City game, 9 minutes of added time, that's a lot. Well, it was impressive to have watched 2 Nigerian players make it to the headline of the game. Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the only Leicester City goal and was assisted by Wilfred Ndidi. Nice for my Nigerian boys.
Anyway, it was nice to have seen Chelsea actually picking up the pace and meeting up with the target of actually winning the game tonight. Hence they get to keep there position on the league table and tighten the spots on the UCL table.

Mendy has by far w9n peoples hearts with his goal keeping thus far, too bad he couldn't cling to the title from Ederson Montrose.
4395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 18, 2021, 06:00:25 PM
Chelsea vs Leicester is the match that I have been waiting for, this time Chelsea has to win so that Liverpool doesn't shift their position to 4th.
No doubt Chelsea vs Leicester City is the game of the day and this time, its a chance for Chelsea to prove that they are the better team after there first encounter with Leicester City in the FA Cup where they lost by a goal to one. So, winning tonights game won't only be a morale boost for them but to establish a stronghold at the 4th position they now occupy less they lose it to Liverpool.  Its an UCL qualifying slot. Another lose to Leicester City would be very embarrassing to the Chelsea fans and the Thomas Tuchel as a coach.

Manchester United is already at the top of there game, currently winning Manchester United 1-0 Fulham in the first half. Mean while, Southampton and Leeds struggles to register a goal 9n the score sheet.
4396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans Bitcoin again in 2021 on: May 18, 2021, 05:44:51 PM
only if the btc community can ignore them and carry on with their crypto lives it would have been better
I think this is the best way to go about them, ignore them and the bitcoin community is actually growing to realise this fact about government and antibitcoin decisions from these bodies. I'm very family with the first ban which took this nature of focusing on the institutions (financial institutions) as they are centralised and as such, can be easily controlled. I naturally thought, they would have learned there lessons by now from the effects of the first ban or perhaps, they want to crash capitalise on the chaos started by Elon Musk in the cryptosphere and further crash the price of bitcoin. Sadly, the market can always take care of itself and at the moment, a resistance is being established at $40k.

4398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 17, 2021, 09:44:21 PM
In my opinion, at the moment Real Madrid only has a few percent chance of winning the title because Atletico Madrid have a bigger chance because they will play against Real Valladolid. I think Juventus will be Zinedine Zidane's next port, right?
It's true that Atletico Madrid has a far greater chance than Real Madrid as its just a game to go and the chances of Atletico Madrid not winning there next game against Real Valladolid is very slim. The Atletico Madrid team is playing against an almost relegated team who's utmost priority is to get out mean while, Atletico Madrid knows that winning that game means them winning the Laliga title and that is something they wouldn't want to be unserious over. Besides, they aren't in any major league and this could be there best chance of actually winning the Laliga trophy.

Newcastle just missed there chances of actually getting ahead once more in this game. They've been favoured by the referee with 2  penalties and they couldn't convert them both. Scoring a rebounce still counts though, I guess it was due to anxiety and tension that comes with these penalty shots but then, it was there best chance to actually steal some points from this fiercer team. So bad, F. Torres wasn't going to let that happen. Scored 2 goals within 2 minutes interval to drag the game from a draw to a win for Manchester City . There is no stopping them @Manchester City this season, they are going all the way and would continue.
