4381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: April 27, 2023, 07:19:31 PM
Keeping your money in the bank is like stocking at the bus stop, just like I have told many people who have sought my views and advice on similar topics, banks are bus stops we use our money to move from one place to another.

So bank can't be taken as a destination since with a bank you are not in control of your money and also you are vulnerable to various forms of bank injustice and inflation.

So of you are looking for the best asset safety place you should look for decentralized assets that give you total control of your money and Bitcoin is one of such assets.
4382  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Madness of many! on: April 27, 2023, 07:10:49 PM
When I was still in elementary school, I been hearing politics but I never knew is a classical game challenge people have to battle to succeed in powers and positions but now is obvious is more like war. No Wonder my lecturer give different definition by different authors. Mahwo Shettu said is politics is war without blood shed, Aristotle said politics is the many for the benefit of few. Marx said is an exercise of bourgeois capitalism over innocent citizens.

But I seen politics as a game of classical cartels for shares interest. Is a win won or lose loss. This is real antepenultimate in lives of humans to play games over others.
Whatever your definition of politics is, it all border around interest and volumes in the society, and the political class are in total control of the collective resource of the nation and this can be seen in the manner in which they authoritatively allocate power and resource in the society.

Just as Aristotle defines man as a political animal so much more is the behaviour of the political actors, a man by nature is interest-driven and at that the allocation of the scarce commodity.
4383  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: April 27, 2023, 07:04:35 PM

Well, when you talk about their promotion on this forum, stopping them is quite easy, I learnt that they are no longer promoting on this forum by the way, probably because, theyve realized that their promotion on this forum is a waste of money.

Stopping them on this forum can be easy, but out there, that is outside this forum, it is practically impossible to stop them, except the government, or gambling body decides to take action in them.
I am curious to know what gambling body do you mean because I lent that there is already a law suit against the 1xbit team and it has become difficult since they don't have a verifiable physical office so the lawsuit is becoming a waste of time.

1xbits should be avoided and for those outside the forum, it may take long but definitely, their ethic will be cashed up by the law enforcement agency that could help fight for the right of those that are scammed by this casino.
4384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple removes Bitcoin Whitepaper in the latest beta version of macOS!! on: April 27, 2023, 07:36:50 AM
Just in: As the title says, apple has now hidden the bitcoin whitepaper from its latest macOS ventura 13.4 beta 3.
With every institution trying to get their hands on bitcoin, does this new action from apple mean that they are not much interested in BTC? Why are they trying to hide the generational financial innovation? I would like to know what thoughts you guys got in your mind about this.
Source link: https://news.coincu.com/183946-apple-removes-bitcoin-whitepaper-from-macos/
Have Bitcoin whitepaper been part of Apple macOS all along I never noticed that and this is the first time I am hearing of that, if Apple decides to remove it from their OS it then means that there is an external change since there is no point having Bitcoin whitepaper included in the first place.

So to me, this does not mean anything significant to me and the rest of many others who are not aware of this development in the first place and I wonder what role Apple play in Bitcoin adoption or usage not as if MacOS have an inbuilt Bitcoin wallet for its users.
4385  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What really makes pastors children rebel? on: April 26, 2023, 11:53:19 PM
This discussion could have been easier and clearer if we have a story line to analyze and unless we have such we can base all opinions as just assumptions, and if so then let me make my own contribution based on that.

Pastor or imam are just spiritual fathers and at that, their still need to take care of their physical responsibilities, but nowadays, too much involvement in spiritual activities have made a lot of those pastors to become too busy that their children are left in the hands of mads and other caregivers who are total strangers and does not have experience enough as to early childhood training and this have led to the children lacking that basic parental guide that will shape their early unruly childhood characters and this has become one of the major issues in our today's society.
4386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: April 26, 2023, 11:44:22 PM

Bounty hunters are simply advertisers of a certain project on which it is really one of the risks when you are a bounty hunter on which you could possibly be able to
receive or not recieve tokens basing up on the tasks that you have followed or been worked on. Its been long time on which bounty hunting is worth
specially into those golden ICO days where lots of projects did really jump out into its value and giving those bounty hunters some good slice of the pie.

I have read a lot of success stories about the good old days of the 2017 ICO era were bounty hunters have some mouth-watering bounty payments and this has been widely talked about, but while we are at that, the ultimate question is how many of those projects are still available and successful in the market up till now, I guess your answers is as good as mine.

So of what use have the bounty become if the tokens are worth nothing in the current market, 2017-2023 is just 6 years and their nowhere to be funded so any bounty hunter who has a long-term goal with those project bounty payment will be worth nothing by now because the project team filled up the bags and left the market since years ago, so ultimately those early hunters who changed the payment immediately are the ones who benefited from investors money that was put in the projects alongside the team who pulls the exit on the investors also.

4387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 26, 2023, 11:20:21 PM

It will be hard to fine such types of developers in the market today as most of them are already engaged with one project or the other that are already gaining reactions, most of the developer that are launching new projects lately I most likely to be newbies in the business without any experience unless the old timers that want to break away from their current project to start up a new one which may likely not be a success as per se on the long run.
Most of projects do run into those unknown or anonymous devs which its really hard to trust up and fund up with these kind of projects. You cant really be able
to come after of your funds once you had been scammed. In today's time where lots of scam projects had been existing where rug pulls are common
and scamming away investors is really not that something new.
Some of the shady projects may even make their team member identity unknown or use a fake team just to lure potential clients, this is popular among most recent projects that are busted for scams in various degrees, so I won't take team and developer as a best standard practice to know a reputable and potential project.

If I must invest in any project, what I normally do is to make sure I follow up with the project right from its token sale era till it gets listed on multiple exchanges and gains traction with enough volume before I buy some and hold for a while and that is subject to what their usercase are and what proven real-life problem there have solved.
4388  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 26, 2023, 11:13:21 PM

some gamblers will surely try their hands on asking AI regarding their bets. at least get the pulse of AI and what it has to say about the game. but if you are a gambler who wants a bit of assurance on your bet, you will also apply your analysis to such games.
The question is not to try their hands on the possibility of AI involvement in gaming but to know how ethical it is to use such a tool in a casino and what if there is winning won't it be seen by the casino as cheating because obviously Artifical intelligence reason way more wider than the human brain and capacity and at that, if its configuration is done accurately it could succeed in game manipulations and possible winning, but how will the casino take that on the long run.

Casinos have been silent on the topics of AI usage in gambling simply because they already have anti bots usage on the casinos and will likely detect AI as a bot and could lead to possible account blockages

only invest in a project coming from developer that seem to have good background like they are alumni of some prestigious university then you will likely encounter good project with such developers.
even better if the project was also funded by the likes of coinbase, and binance.

4391  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: April 26, 2023, 10:32:02 PM

They continue to operate like this and cheat their customers without any shame. They are now generating huge revenue because they have customers like you, and they keep their business going. If a gambler deposits into 1xbit, 1xbit constantly makes excuses to prevent him from withdrawing his funds. As they have given you a reason to freeze your funds, now if you ask them for investigation information they will not provide it because they want to always be ahead and scamming customers.
Sincerely speaking I could have loved to see the statistics of the revenue generated so far by 1xbit most especially since their make they presence here in the forum and if possible we can see the traffic 1xbit is currently generating from this forum, I know that is not possible anyway but my point is.

We should not give them that courage that their generating huge revenue which I don't think so because more and more people are becoming aware of this scam casino and no sane player will risk their deposit in this casino and as far as I can guess/speculate 1xbits so called huge revenue should have dropped by now and in no time there will fade out of the market for good.
4392  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Latest Ponzi Scheme in Town, pls Avoid it. on: April 26, 2023, 10:20:52 PM
Thanks for sharing this here, and I must confess that we have been victims of these schemes one way or the other, and before I continue with my sharing thoughts on scams, Ponzi schemes and Yahoo plus make I first swear for all those people defrauding others.

E NO GO EVER BETTER FOR YOU AND YOUR GENERATIONS IF YOU USE YAHOO MONEY BUILD HOUSE OR TRAIN CHILDREN AND FAMILY THAT SAME THING YOU USE PEOPLE'S MONEY DO GO CAUSE YOUR DEATH WITH MUCH SORROW AND PAIN HERE IN THIS WORD.

My brother and I was the victim of this sometime last year and the experience was not funny only God saw me through, and I come to realize say this Yahoo plus guys no be ordinary eye them the use, so the best way na to avoid any contact with them as much as possible even if na your blood brother dey do yahoo just separate your self from them because nothing good comes out of them, na so so fake life I trustworthy both at home and abroad.

One of the easiest ways they get through to their victims is through the use of close friends and relations who are already victims, and once you listen to their explanation baba their charms fit cash you unless you too na strong a man on your own.

So when you notice anything of such from close friends please try as much as possible to save them from the traps of these wicked soles who's life can never amount to anything, if possible report them to EFCC do follow up on the report online, Ponzi and internet scams can never help anyone and at such, we must try all means to get rid of it or minimize their success.

If you never be victim, you go think say you smart, but believe me some of those guys dey sleep inside ⚰️ coffin till daybreak before they start their work on you, so it beats your human smartness unless you have their antidote.

THE STREET IS RUGGED AND NO LOVE OUTSIDE.
No trust anybody

@ Fivestar4everMVP thank you for creating a self-moderated version of the already locked old thread with upgraded rules and regulations to follow, I think this is clear enough and we should expect to see more progress in this thread compared to the clog of spams we experience in the old thread.

Sincerely I never noticed this thread not until a few minutes ago and to see that you created this thread as far back in March baffles me how a totally missed it all the while, I in fact I wanted to pm you on this but good of you to have been earlier than I thought, and congratulations to everyone who have already been helped to achieve the next rank from this thread and let see how we all keep the standards in check going forward.

Also a big thank you to yahoo62278 who have been following up on this thread right from the start till this very moment with suggestions and advice and to all the other members who helped in one way or the other. Blessed up to you all.
4394  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 26, 2023, 09:30:18 PM
There are kinds of gambling we play in our local settings doesn't demand the inclusion of money, it's all for the fun that comes with it and it's still regarded as gambling just same way with the superkick game. They're all gambling without or without money involved.
I think what make games to be referred to as gambling is the involvement of stake amounts if there is no stake it can just be referred to as a playing game, but as soon as you can win and bet it gambling ait requires some level of financial input at some point.

I understand the kind of games you are talking about, bit those games are not in gambling categories and are just playing for fun and nothing more.
4395  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com | Win $1,000,000! | Biggest Crypto Casino | Instant Withdrawals! ✅ on: April 26, 2023, 09:24:59 PM
Instant withdrawals available on Punt.com

Unlike most casinos, Punt.com offers instant withdrawals!
Good to hear that, but we also have other casinos that offers instant withdrawals and deposits but this all depends on the network connection on the blockchain, so I don't think this is something to be overtly celebrated as most of the casinos in here already have that features right from the lunch of their platform.

But if this instant withdrawal feature os just added to your casino recently it then means it worth celebrating otherwise this could be just hype and nothing more, we expect something users targeted promotions that could generate loads of players to your casino.

Because deposits and withdrawals are both fundamental features in online casinos and nothing special about them.
4396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 26, 2023, 08:35:48 PM
The first and primary thing to do when you picked interest in any game is to keep yourself up-to-date with the current games lineup and try as much as possible to followup by watching all the matches/fights and also reading news about the current games statics and what the players are up to including possible transfers and recent injuries.

Because all those mentioned contribute to the game's outcome but the most effective way to keep yourself up to date is by following current games and their results.
Gaining expertise on any topic is not a fast process at all and when we also take into consideration it is not possible to accelerate this process, as boxers and their promoters are the ones to decide when fights happen, then this will slow down our progress even more, the OP will need at least a year of watching boxing matches weekly before they have a good enough sample to understand how boxing and the odds work and they can finally begin to make some bets with a full understanding of what they are doing.
South Park, I quite agree with you on the fact that it requires a lot of time and effort to become well knowledge on any subject matter and it may take months to years and running into several seasons of follow-up before one could become well-informed and familiar with any sporting events and boxing in particular is a cumbersome game since it involved only one individual athletes.

But football may be easier to follow up since one can easily fine previous games statistics of a club and be able to make an analysis using the imformantions and data from such past events., but even that it takes time and effort to get accuracy must especially for a gambler that wants to start betting using that information as a novice it will be very hard at some points.
4397  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A quick summary of Buhari's administration on: April 26, 2023, 08:28:03 PM
My brother this one were be say na only the bad things for this administration you come list for this you summary of Buhary APC led 8 years administration,  come make the matter tire me ooo, and sake of say you no even take cooler mind hammer the truth you come bring amm out as raw as it is come make my wound reopen.

But the one that get me amazed the most is the recent redesigning and currency swap game were we country bank Offical come carry come, as Emefele carry the policy for head like say him know waiten him dey do, umtill late we come discover say the so called Emefel os as confused as the Buhari himself, and it now down on us that that eye glass were the CBN governor the wear no get level na to use am cover him shame and incompetence.

How them go suffer Nigerians for that long for a national policy that they are not prepared for
And instead of first experimenting it, they went ahead to implementation which now has resulted in policy summer sort and it's now a shame on the government. This alone have rounded up this administration as a 100% failure and the worst government ever in the history of Nigeria.
4398  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: April 26, 2023, 08:12:42 PM

@wiwo, Indeed, we are also here learning from OP's mistake, but don't be surprised that some people will still take such a risk after reading others mistakes; that's just human nature, full of some deadly decisions that the results are always awful 😓 at thet time

Yes, we have learned a lot from ops mistakes and from the various comments we read in this thread have helped to further broaden our understanding of the entire situation but then we all should also know that where there is no risk, there won't be a reward and gambling is one hell of risk ventures at that we must expect to see more risks takers in the future regardless of what lesson this current incident may have thought us.

But the goal should be to take the minimal risk that could give a high return not to take an over-boarding risk such as this gambler took because he went too extreme in this situation to have staked 1.04 million dollars.
4399  Economy / Speculation / Re: FTX recovered $7.3B in Assets and is considering restarting! on: April 26, 2023, 07:48:13 PM
It really would be quite nice if they restarted, allowed partial withdrawals and then had a make-up token that they used to start paying their customers back with over time that could be traded at a discount on the open market.

Bitfinex effectively did similar during their hack and paid it off. Seems like a good enough method to me.
Developing a token rp pay customers back is going to cost extra for the already bankrupted FTX and that could become a possible way for more delay for investors to get a true refund, but also since the majority of the planned reimbursement is through insurance it becomes more investors friendly and confident building and those of the investors who already filled to refund processed via the third party site will get a refund but when that will be my not be certain.

Since tthisprocess will involve a lot of steps before getting clarification and verification via the third-party insurance refunds.
