4381  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: May 07, 2019, 07:18:55 AM
We really need Amazon to start accepting Bitcoin as payment again.

Has anyone heard anything in this space?

There are mediums to use Bitcoin on amazon , but not directly. Big companies like Ebay , amazon cant use bitcoin as it is too much Volatile and they cant justify there sellers with the price. I prefer they stay with USD it will not make there sellers loss.

The volatility isn't an excuse for merchants. I don't understand why people keep repeating the same argument. Most of them get the coins directly converted to fiat once the sale is finished, there is no loss due to volatility. Also, following your logic, a large company can't start to accept BTC, but a medium or small company can. Why? The volatility depends on how big is the company? And they don't have to "justify" the price to sellers, do they do it with the dollar, euro, etc...?
4382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for scammers, yea right! on: May 07, 2019, 07:02:03 AM
I still hear people saying Bitcoin is the Darknet's currency lol.
It is always easier to criticize than to compliment. And journalists know very well how to drive people's opinions while writing. People like to read dramas and scandals, so journalists give what brings traffic since it's what only matter for media.
The misinformation is a problem, and while it's true BTC is used by scammer the percentage is relatively low and they still prefer to use fiats. Like we say "look at yourself in a mirror"
4383  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto Investors: Are You Laundering Money? on: May 06, 2019, 09:27:07 PM
You are taxed only activity, and not on what you own of course. Imagine if we were taxed for the money we have in our bank account. I can tell you that if that happens, the banks will be in default in a few days.
I also report taxes in due form, it doesn't worth to cheat. Now there are people who do everything to not pay taxes but they complain when their country budget isn't good or they have shit roads or hospitals. I'm ok with paying taxes but I disagree to be taxed up to my anus
4384  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex ‘Official Doc’ Confirms Plans to Raise up to $1 Billion in IEO for... on: May 06, 2019, 08:44:19 PM
The first thing coming to my mind while reading the paragraph was "LOL, good way to catch fresh money". Could it be an efficient way for them to back up the supposed debt Tether/Bitfinex? Fees cost nothing for an exchange pov. so they won't lose a lot and it gives a direct capital.
With what's going on, you'd have to be crazy to be involved with finex.
4385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Could Hit The $6,000 Benchmark Soon on: May 06, 2019, 08:12:41 PM
The Bitcoin's value has increased by $500 last week, so it is quite possible this week or next BTC hits $6,000 if the trend continues, but it will probably last for a short period. I prefer to focus on $5,500 currently until it hits $6,500.

Honestly, it won't just touch or short on $6k value I think it will stay at 6k this month and we will see huge price increase again around $7k to 8k value around November.

We are still on a bull run and we will see a huge increase soon after 1 and half weeks.

Look at the price movement last 2015-2016 the movement is just like what happen this year so possible that the price will touch and stay at 6k.
Well, it would mean the price will double gradually during the next months. $12,000 about, not bad, but I expect something better lol.
4386  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoinmixer.eu Legit? How do you get support? on: May 06, 2019, 07:58:26 PM
Also it's usually great if website you choose runs sig campaign here too because it means staff/manager is active and you can get in contact with owner alone or through manager.
Just consider this in future.

it really means nothing and it's completely useless. You can't judge a website depending on if it has a signature campaign in a forum.
Also, a website owner can be inactive in a forum, it does not mean he is inactive with his business. Bitcointalk is not the center of the (crypto) world.
4387  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lack of Bitcoin debit card providers on: May 06, 2019, 04:07:14 PM
Hmm. I just tried to order a card from https://cryptopay.me/bitcoin-debit-card/ contrary to what's stated there though, it first tells me cards aren't available in my country. (I'm EU right now.)

Then it tells me to upload my ID when i click "Order Card".
Am i doing something wrong/missing something, or is their 1000EUR no-KYC card bullshit?

Any other KYC-free alternatives i'd ought to try?

e:
Anyone ever heard of https://uquid.com/faq (?)
They also seem to offer a "1000EUR no-kyc required"-esque card.

I did have the cryptopay card, I used 2 times only  Cheesy, after they disabled the cards since it was issued by W.C. It was the one that lasted the shortest for me. I believe that since then they have never updated their page on their site. I mean they may still haven't a new card provider. It's what I guess since the page doesn't even say if the card is a Visa or Mastercard.
4388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Report: Google Search Volume and Tweets responsible for Bitcoin Price Surge on: May 06, 2019, 03:55:11 PM
No sense to me because if it was so easy then it's easy to create 500 bots per day, daily posting about BTC all day long. 500x30=15k bots monthly 180k per year and just for 1 person. BTC's price should moon in a matter of seconds so.
What the Google search volume has to do with it? How it can influence the value? So they found 21 million bots on Twitter, it is a sign from Satoshi prophecy and the 21 million bitcoins!
4389  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-05] The story of Crypto Capital’s dark past on: May 06, 2019, 11:52:56 AM
Great blog post.
Crypto Capital is like DCG, a central bank for cryptocurrencies. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Panama Papers style drama coming soon. If we see the same situation, at least people will have forgotten after 1 year.
If banks are involved in some sort, well they will pay a fine as they all do, HSBC, etc you can name it. Crypto Capital's reputation will be damaged but nobody knows it and nobody cares, as for banks, it's another story. Grin

Yeah, probably.
4390  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Simplistic Exchange? on: May 05, 2019, 10:16:06 PM
Coinbase for merchants and Coinpayment have probably this. What you need is just a plugin or advanced buttons. There is plenty to find on the web, from free to paid service.
Search for "bitcoin for merchants" "bitcoin plugin cart", etc you will have more luck in your search...
4391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another uptrend has shaped up trying to break $5600 again on: May 05, 2019, 09:21:56 PM
UPDATE:
...

I'd rather be willing to bet the opposite; it's only a matter of days before this rise (which nobody has been able to explain yet) stops, the market's enthusiasm will also calm down very quickly. Remember that the Bitfinex's drama didn't really start yet, there is currently no judgment, or I don't know what.

When you check the average volume for the last 24h we have near the same level as back on Dec 17 - Jan 18. I suppose it means we have the same "excitement" when the ATH was here. Which is a good signal... but where the fuck is the ATH ? Grin
4392  Economy / Economics / Re: Just a friendly reminder.... on: May 05, 2019, 09:06:17 PM
In order to save banks, laws allow states to seize citizens' accounts as a last resort and their gold too, after ripping off companies and the riches (but as they have already gone long ago where taxes are more friendly). If there is something that could "reset" it's not the financial system but our pockets. Not really different from bank hold-ups. Your money is stolen by force and one has nothing to say.

The money is based on credits granted by large banks. And, for example, in the United States, the FED prints dollars and exchanges them for treasury bonds to the government, in other words, the money is based on the American debt. The more banknotes printed by the FED, the more debt the citizen has.
4393  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: May 05, 2019, 06:46:45 PM
because bitcoin prices dropped as a result no new rich people arrived suddenly. . . on the contrary, many people go bankrupt because they suffer losses ... haha haahaa
Do you think we still need rich people in this community ?
Because I really don't think so. Talk about these rich people,  what good do they bring to this community ?

To be sincere, it's quite nothing. All they do is come to fill in their pockets and get richer. They come and they invest billions of dollars and cause the market price to run up and when it reaches their target profit,  they will withdraw their money and the market will fall again. They have gotten and made a lot of us here to lose our money,  and of course,  the lucky ones do gain from the bubble. But, these rich guys are only making themselves more rich and they don't care about this community.
Rich people hold and speculate, they don't use Bitcoin. And whatever you say, we do the same when we trade BTC for x,y,z we're only doing it for a profit. Yes, they do it with millions, I can't blame people for being millionaire, I would do probably the same. You are not rich if you don't convert it to fiats or for another asset.
4394  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Purse.io privacy on: May 05, 2019, 05:03:25 PM
Yep, the buyer (you) creates a wishlist and add item(s). You can have multiple wish lists. To share the list with people Amazon provides a unique link. This is the link you need to copy-paste in Purse's system. If you're afraid for your privacy you can set the lists to private. People can buy the items but can't see your name or address.
4395  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [05-03-2019] 68% of global Millionaires already invested or are planning to inve on: May 03, 2019, 08:35:56 PM
The article does not claim that this is the result of the recent rise. It shows above all that there are hundreds of millions ready to be invested in the crypto market. Which is a good thing in itself. They are probably waiting to see more laws and a more defined framework before, it's a way to be reassured perhpas. The question is when?
4396  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-03] New all time high for bitcoin in 2019! on: May 03, 2019, 06:48:16 PM
This isn't a great article. You can't exactly call it an all time high when the price is lower than it was for the first 10+ months of 2018 and still hasn't recovered to the ~$6,400 levels it was before dumping down to ~$3,300 in November. Stating the $6,300 resistance was "the end of the bear market", when the price then dropped by another 50% makes no sense. The article states the RSI is massively oversold, when it is actually massively overbought.

I'm not convinced we are out of the bear market yet, and a rise of almost 10% in 24 hours is not sustainable. I think a drop back down to around $5,300 is just as likely as a break above $6,000.

That's what I thought at the beginning, but the article is just about the year 2019. I also think that this upward trend will not last but it is still an ATH for this year. If it continues it's ok ofc lol but I'm fine as long we don't go below $5,000 now.
4397  Economy / Economics / Re: New recession is around the corner on: May 03, 2019, 12:04:14 PM
I read not long ago that 75% of CFOs predict a recession in the USA by the end of 2020. Isn't that funny the coincidence with the BTC halving? Tongue
Italy has managed to avoid a recession, but there are still concerns, and I am not even talking about Germany. If a recession happens in Europe people/companies will switch to a safer currency like CHF, GBP, or NOK.
4398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold vs Fiat on: May 03, 2019, 09:55:44 AM
Afaik This question is explained too many times but people still love to debate this  .

Re: Bitcoin vs Gold vs Fiat

Bitcoin and fiat are both currency but gold is not . bitcoin and gold are both an investment asset but fiat is not  . by looking at my analysis you can clearly see that bitcoin can work for both currency and asset use  .so bitcoin is i think the winner between the three of them  .

But but but  ....    The only disadvantage i think of bitcoin is bitcoin dont have a physical form  while gold and fiat do have their own offline version  . and fiat is still the king when it comes to offline transactions   . while gold is still the king when it comes to offline investments

That's why we should stop thinking that Bitcoin will a day replace fiats. It must be considered as an alternative currency.
But the adoption of digital payment methods has exploded in recent years (and it can represent more than 80% for some countries). So what you call a disadvantage can also be an advantage.
Gold is far to be the best offline investment. A lot of people don't even consider it as an investment
4399  Economy / Economics / Re: The History of Gold and Silver Points to the future of Cryptocurrency on: May 03, 2019, 01:34:36 AM
They fail to admit cryptocurrencies can be an alternative adapted to the demand or to the current state of the economy. If there is a demand you can't stop that unless you disgust people from it. (What they can do with all the articles published bashing Bitcoin.)

But more the demand increases and more the ecosystem replies to the demand and this is an organic growth. "established regulatory framework" people got tired with this because this is never for the customers benefit, and this is one of the reasons we try to leave the fiat system their dictature framework.

You will have people who will use it as a currency, a store of value, knowing its volatility
