A few days ago Fulham just brought in striker Raul Jimenez from Wolves, now they have added strength to their troops in defense and they have succeeded in bringing in Calvin Bassey from Ajax. At a cost of 22.5 million euros, it seems that Fulham have got one of the young players who can become the foundation for next season's back line affairs. The duration of his contract is up to 2027 and it has been confirmed that Fulham has placed him as part of a long-term contract. Last season he had quite brilliant statistics by appearing 39 times in all competitions and also recording 1 goal and 5 assists. I think Fulham will be even better next season and they definitely aim to finish in a better position in the table every season.

Both teams you mention need other potential players. But Bayern Munich does not need a striker now, or let me say, it is not necessary for Bayern Munich to get any players in my opinion. because they have all the positions and they are still strong, so they don't need anything like that now.
If you think Bayern Munich don't need a striker right now, then why are they so adamant in bidding for Harry Kane this summer? isn't it obvious they are not so confident with the current squad even though everything feels very complete. Moreover, competing with other strong teams in the champions league is not an easy matter if a team doesn't have a mature striker and I think whatever the reason, Bayern Munich will still be looking for a new striker if later they don't manage to get Harry Kane.

So far Bayern Munich has 2 center forwards, namely Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Mathys Tel. The two attackers were played alternately by the coach and both had good goal contributions last season. I think Bayern Munich want to sign a new centre-forward because they realize that Choupo-Moting is no longer young. He is already 34 years old although he has good form.

Apart from the two centre-forwards I mentioned, the Bayern Munich coach often gives my player or the second striker the opportunity to occupy the center forward position. Sometimes that's good, but it would be great if Bayern Munich had a pure centre-forward instead of doing some experiments on wingers and others to become a centre-forward. Kane is a good fit, but so far nothing is certain.
It's true that currently Bayern Munich still have two strikers in the squad and when it comes to scoring goals I'm sure they can do it. But it needs to be underlined here that Bayern Munich want a striker who can not only score goals but they want a striker who consistently scores every season and the answer, of course, is all in Harry Kane. Therefore they don't want to take the same risk as last season which was very difficult to score in the Champions League and for matters in the domestic league I don't think Bayern Munich are confused even though they are using two more strikers.

It should also be underlined that domestic league competition and the Champions League have a much different intensity or level of difficulty. Maybe Bayern Munich in the domestic league always encounters almost the same opponents every season and they can always win every season, but if in the champions league all the best teams are in the big preliminary round and they cannot take this lightly.

After exploring more about the negotiations some time ago, Al-Nassr has now reached a verbal agreement to bring in Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich. Previously Al-Nassr had offered a fee of 37 million euros for Sadio Mane and it seems that Bayern Munich accepted the offer. On the other hand, it seems that Sadio Mane also doesn't want to stay too long at Bayern Munich considering that he is no longer a priority for the club and an offer from Al-Nassr will be more convincing for him to leave immediately. This is another successful transfer from Al-Nassr having previously brought in Brozovic, Fofana and Alex Telles. Can't wait to see all these players in the same place in the competition next season.
It is true that an oral agreement has been reached between Al-Nassr and Saido Mane, Munchen is willing to let go of the winger to get an additional fee to bring in Harry Kane like him. After failing to make a contribution to Munchen last season, Mane is no longer on Tuchel list of priority squads for next season. reportedly in SPL Mane will get a sizable salary after Ronaldo, Benzema and Kante.

The joining of Mane to Al Nassr will certainly make their attack line sharper, and the competition for next season's SPL top scorer will be even fiercer. a 4-4-2 formation by placing Ronaldo and Mane in the attack line would be very suitable.

For Sadio Mane and Bayern Munich, the two of them are no longer compatible, so this agreement must have been well considered for this reason. Bayern Munich did get additional funds from selling Mane and they can allocate that to the player they are next after. Indeed, Sadio Mane's salary in the Saudi league is in the range of these star players and it is very natural for Sadio Mane to get that. The 4-4-2 formation suits Al-Nassr's current squad and it could change to 4-3-3 because Sadio Mane is a left winger.

I want to say something different. The Juventus team performed brilliantly a few seasons ago, but last season they did not perform well. It is really interesting to see how this team performs this season and what kind of changes they bring to the team. Because I think Juventus is a traditional club.
Last season Juventus were just unlucky through the point deductions they experienced throughout the season, because if Juventus did not experience this last season, Juventus might be in a more formidable competition next season. But that is a story that has passed so right now what Juventus needs to focus on is being able to bring more significant changes to the team before the official transfer window closes.
The story of Juventus is endless, they always have the bad luck of the club's internal problems that drag down all the existing parts in the competition and this makes them have to be in the middle of the standings last season. As a traditional club I really agree if Juventus can carve achievements again later like what they did a decade ago. Team competition in Serie A is now much more competitive and it is very difficult for a traditional team like Juventus to dominate again like at that time. Juventus have not been very active in this transfer market and it looks like they are quite confident with their current squad.

Sommer might not leave because Neuer is still not ready for the new season as you also said. He can still play as the main goalkeeper here. Let's say he decided to leave anyway then Bayern Munich had better make a good signing. Because even if Neuer gets fit for the games this season I don't think he has long years left at this team.

~~
Bayern Munich may have difficulties if Yann Sommer leaves the team because they would not have many options for goaltenders. The need for a competent substitute increases as Neuer rehabilitation continues. The negotiations with David De Gea may present a potential option as a free transfer, but due to his prior demands for a high price, negotiations must be handled carefully. In order to convince him to accept their offer over Inter Milan, Bayern must make a more alluring offer. Bayern success in the future Bundesliga games may depend on their ability to secure a competent and seasoned custodian like De Gea.

If we look at the current situation, Bayern Munich and Inter are in discussions to discuss the transfer of Yann Sommer and hopefully everything will go smoothly this week. Inter are keen to sign Yann Sommer as a replacement for Andre Onana and it may be a tough negotiation between the two parties to determine Yann Sommer's fee.

For David De Gea, who is currently a free agent, it looks like he could be a good goalkeeper option for Bayern Munich for next season and considering that currently no other team has tried to contact David De Gea. I think Bayern Munich will have to move quickly to secure his services as a replacement for Yann Sommer should an agreement be reached in the near future with Inter.

I just heard the news that the mother and agent of Kylian Mbappe Fayza Lamari is currently trying to convince PSG to lower the transfer price for her son. According to sources circulating, PSG has set a fee of 250 million euros for Mbappe and this is an open fee for any club that wants to sign him. On the other hand, it is possible that Fayza Lamari is very sure that if the transfer fee for her son goes down, the road to Real Madrid will be even more open.

We know that Real Madrid is currently keeping quiet about the situation faced by PSG and Mbappe, moreover Real Madrid also has a bad relationship with PSG, this has made both parties unwilling to talk further about the transfer of this player. However, I think there is some truth in the actions taken by Fayza Lamari to lower prices and given the current situation, she doesn't want her child to suffer more pain at PSG.

Currently Fabinho is on his way to carry out a medical test as a condition for becoming an Al-Ittihad player and previously the negotiations went quite smoothly which resulted in an offer of a contract of up to 3 years with Al-Ittihad. Now it's just waiting for the results of the medical test before finally an agreement is reached by both parties. One of the Liverpool legends has come to the saudi league and this will continue to enliven the European players who will defend each of the saudi league teams. We know that some of the Liverpool players who came to the Saudi league didn't defend one team at the same time and they preferred to be in different teams. So, I think this distribution of players is very good for each Saudi league team.

4389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 28, 2023, 03:12:39 PM
I believe if a team doesn't play very well or doesn't take it seriously when the opponent is below them in quality, but if the opponent is a team that is equal or can be said to be better, this can be a good opportunity to prove themselves as the best. Apart from that, it must be admitted that Real Madrid is indeed still better than Manchester United and that is a fact that they might still maintain if they meet later in the Champions League competition.

Talking about La Liga, of course Ancelotti is very happy with the performance of his players so far and they will definitely continue to maintain their consistency later when La Liga starts. Indeed, even from last season, Barcelona was a team that was quite difficult to beat in La Liga and Real Madrid had to make full efforts with its new squad to break this bad trend when they met Barcelona.

Anyway, the next pre-season game will bring Real Madrid against Barcelona and this is also the El Clasico match on the pre-season tour in America.
Yes, that's true, but when we meet in the Champions League later, I'm still sure that Manchester United can still give a draw against Real Madrid, so it might make it difficult for Real Madrid to win like this pre-season game.

Ancelotti can definitely give the best for Real Madrid so that in the next match against Barcelona there is still a high chance of winning for Real Madrid.
I don't know if many agree or not, but for Real Madrid vs Barcelona in this pre-season I assume Real Madrid can win.
For a draw, I think it can still happen, but if it's for a two-legged match, it's certain that Real Madrid will send Manchester United home first. Regarding El Clasico matches in the pre-season, there is no doubt that in depth the Barcelona squad lost to Real Madrid for this season and the fact that Real Madrid is much bigger now is also unavoidable. Barcelona previously lost against Arsenal in pre-season and however they should not take pre-season games as an excuse for when they lose. Every team with the same level will certainly make it a pre-season match as a benchmark in facing real competition later.

Almost 10 years Man United did not win the EPL. Even 7 coaches have been selected to try to deliver the championship title but failed. After Sir Alex Retirement, Man United did look bad. In fact, many large transfers have ended up failing. When Ten Hag arrived, they began to improve even though they did not have a championship but Man United's performances were promising. They have made good use of transfers, but there is one player who could possibly be the solution. Since they currently do not have a number 9 striker, Maybe Man United can buy Kane as this solution. But Tottenham are unlikely to release Kane to an English club.

It was a very good team in the 2000s, but as you said, after Alex Ferguson left, the team moved away from its former quality. No matter how good coaches came and how many good players they bought, they could not reach the level of champions. I hope they can get back to their old days as soon as possible, it used to be one of my favorite teams, but we are far from those days now Smiley
It's true that manchester united in the early 2000s was terrible with all the great players around at that time and it was almost certain that when they played, victory was guaranteed. Sir Alex Ferguson is a phenomenal figure as a Manchester United coach and until now there has been no coach who can replace him. I think Manchester United will be very jealous of the achievements of their city rivals who have always dominated the EPL in the last 10 years and Manchester United must be able to prove their strength again later in the Erik ten Hag era which is considered to have a very big impact on the club.

It seems I overslept when I wanted to watch the pre-season match between the Italian teams today, namely Juventus against Milan and it turned out that the match ended in a draw with the same 2-2 score. If you look at the match statistics, the two teams played quite evenly and this is certainly a pretty good result for both of them in view of the parameters of the development of the players so far. From today's goalscorer list I also don't see a new signing from Milan scoring. Even after a draw, there was also a penalty shoot-out and this time Juventus won 4-3 against Milan.

Chelsea are really determined to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. Their last offer was 80 million pounds however it was instantly rejected by Brighton. His market value is 64 million pounds actually so I wonder how much they want for him now. It looks like Chelsea will need to offer way more if they really want only him to the position.

So far I see that Chelsea really want to get Caicedo's services, but for the umpteenth time they have experienced rejection from Brighton regarding their offer. The price set by Brighton is very high, and if I'm not mistaken it's worth 100 million pounds for a club that wants Caicedo's services. Chelsea has made an offer as you mentioned, namely 80 million pounds, but they are still getting rejected. I don't really understand what was Brighton's reason for rejecting the offer, even though it was already very high and already exceeded the player's market price. If indeed the profit which is the reason makes a little sense, I see that Brighton is taking advantage of the opportunity in the midst of Chelsea's need. But at that price I think maybe Chelsea will choose to find a more reasonable alternative.
If I'm not mistaken in the social media news, the reason Brighton rejected Chelsea's offer and asked them to increase their bid to 100 million euros was that Brighton wanted Caciedo to be on par with Declan Rice. I think the club's thinking is too exaggerated and even though Brighton wants to follow in West Ham's footsteps in the trend of selling players up to 100 million euros, on the other hand this is increasingly showing the unfairness of the transfer market process this time and with the lack of achievements of players at the club it proves the price tag exaggerating. I thought the 80 million offer from Chelsea was very good, but back in the final decision on the club and Brighton felt as greedy as West Ham.

Jordan Henderson has signed to Al Ettifaq. What do you think about this transfer? Henderson became another great football player who went to Saudi Arabia after playing for Liverpool for years. The 33-year-old could actually find a place in a good team in the big leagues if he wanted to, but Al Ettifaq must have offered a good contract. Henderson, who has a 3-season contract, will probably end his career here.

It's important to distribute the star football players to the teams in a balanced way in terms of the promotion of the league. Not a single super team has been created, there are many competitive teams. This will definitely increase the viewing rates.
I think the transfer is pretty good and Al-Ettifaq did a pretty good job this summer signing Liverpool legends. We know after 12 years at Liverpool, Jordan Henderson has won everything with Liverpool so even if there were offers from other European teams he would not be that interested. But if there is an offer from the Saudi league team it is a much more interesting thing about how to get big money at an age that is getting old. Currently there are only a few teams that dominate European player transfers and maybe this is just the beginning of the Saudi league to be able to convince the audience to start believing in this league in the future.

David Silva announced that he is retiring from football at the age of 37. This was because he injured his ACL while training for a pre-season match with Real Sociedad. It seems that the legend of Valencia and Manchester City is no longer able to continue his career playing football at his current age and we know that an ACL injury is quite severe and can take a long time to heal. Moreover, the effects of this injury can reduce a player's performance when he has recovered and maybe that was a consideration for David Silva to decide to retire. Well, whatever decision David Silva is a legend, especially for the Spanish national team and was one of the players who brought Spain to win the 2010 world cup.

The highest net spend so far for the 23/24 season is held by Arsenal with several recent signings such as Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and also Jurrien Timber. There are also players leaving Arsenal like Granit Xhaka who have also added to their net spend so far. But from several lists of European teams, there is one club from the Saudi league which surprisingly is in second place, namely Al-Hilal. We know Al-Hilal is very fond of buying players this summer, say like Ruben Neves to Sergej Milinković-Savić. There is also the most expensive recruit from Al-Hilal who was brought in from Zenit, namely Malcom, not to mention later if Marco Verrati manages to join Al-Hilal it will increase the amount of net spend for this season. As for Manchester United, they seem to be experiencing a loss because many of their players' market value has fallen, so even if they are sold, they cannot increase their net spend.
4397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 27, 2023, 01:34:09 PM
It was a really great show by Arsenal against Barcelona indeed. Even though it was a friendly game they seemed really determined to beat their opponent. I feel like we are going to watch a really strong Arsenal this season. I just hope to see them being consistent throughout the season. They were so close to becoming the champions the last time but inconsistency on the final weeks finished them off.

There are quite many talented players in the squad now. There is a lack of experienced player though so I hope it doesn't become a serious problem for them. I'm curious about how good they can balance the Premier League and Champions League as well. The expectations should be higher for sure.
Maybe I'm one of those people who didn't expect Arsenal to win the pre-season match against Barcelona and even though Arsenal are currently in top form, the 5-3 score over Barcelona can be a good capital to start the EPL match with a positive trend. But what is clear is that there is still one pre-season game remaining so they have to maximize the results of that match later. I saw Lesandro Trossard mature with his finishing and even today he scored a brace. On the other hand, Fabio Vieira also scored a fantastic goal from outside the penalty box and this made almost all of Arsenal's young squad more mature. I think Mikel Arteta has found a good strategy for next season and now it's just a matter of how they can be consistent when the season starts. For the champions league, I think Arsenal will try their best in this competition because it's certainly not easy to reach.

In today's first pre-season game in Japan, Inter only drew 1-1 against Al-Nassr and Inter should have won this game quite easily. If you look at the match statistics, it is clear that Inter have far dominated Al-Nassr. In fact, Inter took a total of 22 shots and 9 of them were on target, but it seems like Inter was not good at finishing which made him only manage to score 1 goal. Inter's next pre-season match will be against PSG and this is a match that should be even more exciting to be able to win the game later.

Al-Hilal worked very hard this summer and indeed some time ago they were interested in Marco Verrati from PSG. But surprisingly both parties have talked about this transfer more deeply and now the agreement is getting closer for Al-Hilal to be able to get Marco Verrati. A 3 year contract has been offered for Marco Verrati and all the paperwork has been prepared, now it's just a matter of time and Verrati's decision to join the Saudi league team. I think this is another good transfer that Al-Hilal has signed and they never tire of continuing to add to their European roster before the transfer window closes.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1684271290520068104

Yeah Al Hilal continues to move after it was confirmed failed to sign Mbappe therefore they target other players and Marco Verratti the next target. I wonder how much Al Hilal paid to sign Marco Verratti? its current market value is 40 million will Al Hilal pay more than 40 million? if true then maybe this will be the highest transfer record in the Saudi League, I mean related to the transfer fee not salary. On July 26, Al Hilal brought in Malcom from Zenit with a transfer fee of 60 million and so far Al Hilal has spent 178 million on the transfers market, wow exceeds the spending of several clubs in the Premier League.

PSG have asked for over 30 million euros for Marco Verrati and it is likely the deal could close at 35 to 40 million euros. I think the fee is still very reasonable for Marco Verrati because he is a really good player and because PSG know that it is Al-Hilal who is bidding, so they are trying to increase the fee up to that amount. Apart from that, of course the fee agreement will also have an impact on the duration of the contract later and it is possible that it could last up to 4 years at Al-Hilal.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1684297727318818820

Currently Malcom can be said to be the record scorer as the most expensive player for a saudi league team transfer and maybe it is also an opportunity for Zenit to make more profit when there is a saudi league team interested.

Having been without a club since last winter, Isco has now finally joined Real Betis. Of course Isco was very happy because after that time he never played football again and he had the opportunity to play again at a La Liga club. Actually, this player is still quite good, but indeed no club was interested at that time after he was a free agent. Real Betis is very appropriate to sign one of these 5x UCL winners and with his experience it is hoped that he can help the development of this team better for at least the next one or two seasons.
In terms of performance, Isco has really declined, especially since he hasn't been playing actively for a long time, but in terms of individual quality, the 31-year-old player is still quite good and in my opinion this is the right step taken by the Real Betis team to recruit Isco and with experience and also mentality that Isco has allows him to be able to contribute a lot to the team both in terms of performance and motivation for other players.
True, all the factors that exist in Isco can be considered to have a significant impact on the club and maybe even if he is not fully back at 100% it is normal considering he has not played since then either. Real Betis not only competes in La Liga but will also be part of the European league next season, which has prompted coach Manuel Pellegrini to add strength to his squad. It is hoped that the minor results last season will also improve with the arrival of new players. Well, he's 31 years old and at least he's not going to a saudi league team this summer.
