4381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 13, 2019, 04:03:51 PM
Lol. This is weird. Also, it looks like I won my bet by betting on Rajasthan and they pulled through after an amazing over by Bumrah towards the end. I hope I win my bet on RCB in the upcoming match too.
Congrats on your win but betting on RCB to win the match is a difficult one as they have some of the best players in the world in Kohli and ABD and yet they are not able to win a single match which is really strange and i am not sure whether they can pull any magical run chase today, i lost my confidence to bet in IPL after the Pollard innings which i clearly thought MI will not chase that big total as they lost too many wickets and yet they end up winning the match and with the past history of betting allegation in IPL i am not sure whether we will have fair games to bet too.
4382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC fans: T.J. Dillashaw suspended for 2 years for a banned substance on: April 13, 2019, 02:58:21 PM
Oh well, that's probably the reason why he can truly stay and has a high intensity and seems not to get tired by all the movements and feints we have seen in him in years. I'm sure that Cody is now ripping his heads off, now that he is caught as a 'cheater', Lol.
Cody Garbrandt was vocal about Dillashaw and his drug use and his entire camp from the beginning and Dillashaw was dismissive about that claim and he was caught using EPO which is used for recovery and that that cannot happen with a tainted supplement as he has to consume or inject that to get into his body and USADA usually does not test that all the time and that is how he slipped through this far and now news are coming out that he was clean during Cody fight, only time will tell what the truth is and whether those fights will be overturned to no contest.

They really cannot control themselves to try these prohibited drugs to level up their performance, the competition is really that high to take that risk but they will eventually get caught, but I'm sure he'll be back after a year for a more big fight like what happened to Jon Jones.
Jones is a different case, they found micro dosage of contents which can be in his system through tainted supplements, if someone is cheating those micro dosing could not make any difference and the level of content in his body is so small and that is the reason they allowed him to fight.
4383  Local / India / Re: How Indian Govt. cheated the whole nation (NewsFlash) on: April 13, 2019, 01:00:24 PM
All such news articles are being released now and both the parties are accusing each other. We don't know who is telling the truth and who is lying. BJP says Congress is playing divide and rule and Congress says BJP is a scam Government but in reality, both are corrupt. This country is suffering between two corrupt parties.
The truth is everyone see politics as a business and an area in which you can make a lot of money and that is where corruption comes in and there is nothing that can be done against it, if we check their total asset when they first came to politics and the amount of wealth they accumulated after entering politics, you will be astonished by the total asset they accumulated in the name of serving people and yet the common citizen is suffering.
4384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Threatens Lawsuit Against Bitcoiner on: April 13, 2019, 12:20:58 PM
I hope they just delist bitcoin sv. I mean, what is bitcoin sv? What they are worth for? Just some rich guys playground nothing more.
I wonder, can they recover from delisting on binance.
If you look at the market place and the N number of coins in the market you cannot tell that it is a crap project, the vision they are preaching are good to hear and if they are able to implement those things, then we will consider their valuation be worth, but the delisting part is just a twitter drama and nothing else, if binance starts delisting coins because of personal reason then they cannot be taken serious as a business  Tongue.
4385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do u think will happen 100 years or 1000 years from now on: April 13, 2019, 11:04:02 AM
In 20 years, people will either be saying “Remember when you could buy bitcoin for only 3500?” or “Remember when everyone lost their minds and spent millions on useless internet money?”
One day cryptos might boom in such a way that basically everyone who didn't invest in them will become poor
I accept the first part of the conversation that the price will move higher with more investment coming into bitcoin and with time we will reach a point where the price will be stable and it will take a long time, but that does not mean that the price would be a million dollars per coin and the rest of the people who invested in something else will end up in a loosing position, i am not sure what theory you are talking about, with zero investment the end result is null and not negative  Tongue.
4386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AML Compliance for Crypto Exchanges! on: April 13, 2019, 03:32:17 AM
One of the reasons why binance is most trusted by traders, users and developers is their non-stop aim to provide better and more secured service to their users and developers who are using their platform as a tool for them to trade cryptocurrency. As time goes by, exchanges should do the same, as to avoid scam and being attacked by hackers which we know targets exchange with low-security system.
To avoid being attacked by hackers they need to have a secure system, check and secure their ports and avoid any sort of injection attacks and make sure the files uploaded even for verification is carefully scrutinized for any back doors, expect AML compliance to be strictly implemented in all the sites to avoid unwanted attraction from the authorities, but all these implementation must not bring any hurdle for the common user and that is the important thing every business should consider.
4387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 13, 2019, 02:26:44 AM
Zimbabwe are no more strong team like before so i think we can see some upset in today match as both team are low level teams so any thing can happen on their matches, today i think UAE will come favourite in odds and then can loose it.
It would have being an upset because the match was reduced to 35 overs due to bad light and the great Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method to calculate the projected score is still confusing for me and when the match was stopped at 32 overs because of bad light Zimbabwe was ahead in the DLS and declared the winner, but if you look at the score card you will get confused  Cheesy.
4388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people but bigger bets in sports compared to other type of gambling? on: April 12, 2019, 10:11:03 PM
I would like to know why people are trusting their luck more in sports gambling compared to other type of games.
Personally, I put bigger bet on sports because I believe I have a little skills that would give me a better chance of winning, but I'm not really serious with sports gambling.
I am sure it is your perception on things and not the reality, most sports bet platform have a limit about the amount of money you can bet every game, but that cannot be said with dice or other gambling, i have seen people rolling with hundreds on bitcoin in dice sites and that cannot be said with any sports sites where people are wagering hundreds of bitcoin in sports. You put bigger bet in sports simply because you think you know that better and it is just a perception and nothing else  Tongue.
4389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Tether Bring Down Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2019, 04:45:49 PM
"There is a theory that stablecoins such as Tether have been used both to stabilise and manipulate Bitcoin’s price, especially during the 2017 Bitcoin bull run."

"What is important to remember, is that any asset may appear stable until it suddenly isn’t."
It is true that a large amount of Tether were created during that bull run without any transparency and still i am not sure they are fully transparent with their financial dealings, may be they are auditing everything and have equal asset in a bank in dollars, if they are not true to that they would have being exposed by now, it is not a small market to manipulate with fake valuation for a long time and even in the worst case scenario it will not bring down bitcoin altogether, we might see a correction but i do not think it will have a lasting effect on the market.
4390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wikileaks Bitcoin Donations Spike with Arrest of Julian Assange on: April 12, 2019, 03:49:39 PM
7 years! Damn. Just saw the news and was surprised that he had these many charges against him(Molestation, Rape etc) of which some were dropped already while some others are still pending.

I think that the US government have no intentions to ever release him out in the open ever again.
The government will find a way to lock him up forever and make an example for future whistle blowers and that is how governments want, to silence everything and everyone who reveal the truth structure on how government function and the leaks had an impact on the global relations between countries without a doubt.

I am happy he's finally arrested, he's a fake sellout and traitor.
I can see through the lies in this world.
How about the leaks, do you think it is fake and forged, they published the facts and nothing else, i am not getting into his personal life and i am not sure all the charge against him are true, including rape charges.
4391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Sign Up with Rizin Fighting Federation on: April 12, 2019, 12:59:22 PM
Rizin does fights once in a while and it became famous when Fedor came out of retirement and fought there in their inaugural show, there is no drug testing and anything goes and with the Mayweather theatrics we know anything will happen and i am sure Manny will fight in an exhibition bout with boxing rules and nothing else. Looks like they want exposure by signing big names and as long as they have money to shell out for these bouts they will continue putting fights for the Japanese fans. Grin
4392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bearish road over? on: April 12, 2019, 09:45:25 AM
bear until we convincingly blow past $6k where there are tons of bagholders. Wink
You wont see any market to just push forward without any correction, i am not expecting the market to go down to $3k level from this situation, we had a push from those $3k levels and we will consolidate above $4k valuation for sometime before we see the market going further, if the market is able to break the current resistance over $5.5k then we will see the levels you are talking about and that does not mean the bear market is still active, i am not sure whether we can predict when we will be seeing those rallies to break those resistance, but it will happen in due time.
4393  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto as a payment method for goods: what to expect in 2019 on: April 12, 2019, 08:32:58 AM
If I'm not mistaken (I haven't sent any bitcoin in the past 4 days or so), there was recently a lot of network congestion and transactions were stuck in the blockchain for about a day or two.  It's all good now, but situations like those really take away from bitcoin's usefulness as a currency.  Who in their right mind would want to use bitcoin and potentially wait a day for a confirmation when they could just as easily pay for something with fiat?  That's always been a deal breaker in my eyes, and it's just one of the reasons why I don't like spending bitcoin on things I could pay for with cash or a debit card.
Yes there was a network congestion in the past week when the market started rising and if you are giving a minimal transaction fees, it would get stuck for days while a few days back it would get through in a couple of years, when the market rises and if there are more transactions the only way to move the coins faster is to increase your transaction fees, i did input less than ten thousand satoshi  and it went through within the next few blocks, transaction fees are still lower.

Bitcoin will probably always be useful for things on the dark markets and for transactions where a little bit of anonymity is needed.  It's also useful for legally grey-area stuff that banks and payment processors don't want to get involved with (cannabis seeds, kratom, you name it).  Other than that, there probably won't be much progress.  When places like Amazon and eBay start jumping aboard, then bitcoin will have hit mainstream.  Until then, its main use is as an investment.
I do agree with some of your sentiment here, but if there are merchants accepting bitcoin, i am sure people will be using that to make their payments instead of using credit cards, you never know how secure those card details will be if you are using it for purchasing online, that is not the case with bitcoin and that is a major difference. 4394  Economy / Speculation / Re: I SMELL FOMO on: April 08, 2019, 10:27:30 PM
What's your opinion on this?? Bitcoin seems too be accumulating value since Tuesday morning... the bull is here.. ?? Or it's bait??
It is neither a bull run nor a bait, it is a recovery process from the bottom position we were in and that is how the market is, just take a look back at the market rallies in both directions and you will understand how long it takes for the recovery process to get to the bull run, it might need a year to see the real bull run, until then we will see the market recovering and will have small corrections in between and wait for the market to touch another all time high valuation in a couple of years. 4395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 14million dollar stolen by a thief on tuxedo ( keplertek.io ) on: April 08, 2019, 10:12:10 PM
So I  posted here a month back about this project keplertek.io and how they've scammed their hunters... you can check out the link here..

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5114598.msg49951689#msg49951689

I quickly reported the project to shitcoinoffering http://t.me/shitcoinofferingchat but it seemed like not much could be done as bounty hunters where the victims here.. and no legal actions could be taken against them
What is the state of the project now, how can you say that only bounty hunters are the victims, how about the investors and if so they can file a case against them for defrauding.

Quote
But too my gratest surprise.. the nice looking ceo.. who's face is still visible on website has decided too scam his investors as well ... you can see here the telegram chat has been muted http://t.me/KeplerTechnologies , bounty community deleted...
Who knows they are some models just posing for the site rather than the real owners, if they plan out to scam, do you really think that they will be showing their face  Tongue.

Quote
How do we progress with people like this on the crypto space?? These guys are ruthless thieves without guns and they will milk you dry when you fall into their hands

I'm not a investor of this project... but I'm so fucking pissed right now that I helped in promoting it
There is nothing you can do about it at this stage, this is the sole reason we need regulations, to collect funds in the name of projects and not for the bitcoin network, only with regulations we can avoid these scams.
4396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash having nices days! on: April 08, 2019, 10:03:18 PM
Bitcoin has just crossed $5000 and bitcoin cash has recovered significantly and it is currently trading around $280.  I think we the lovers of bullish trend like what is happening now in cryptocurrencies market.  I just refresh https://coinmarketcap.com and almost all the coins in the first page are in green and litecoin has making gain of over 25%! I think 2019 is going to be a bullish year because that is the same process that happened in 2015 and 2017. April was when price changes directions in those years and I think the samething is happening again.  Goodluck to all the cryptocurrencies holders.
There is no doubt that the market is recovering from the great fall we had and the current market looks like a replica of the past markets, it is very difficult to predict things with little data, we only have two instances of huge bull runs in the past which touched all time high valuation, i am not talking about before touching the three figure market and the same might happen this time too and i am expecting another huge bull run in 2021 if the market reacts the same way like in the past.
4397  Economy / Speculation / Re: When you win does someone else have to lose. on: April 08, 2019, 09:51:45 PM
Whenever I trade and make a profit, does someone else lose?
For example, I've been watching an altcoin market for three years and knew that a certain currency always triples in value going from x to 3x in a couple of months. Having spare money avaliable I put some in to test the strategy and I'm close to my 3x at the moment.

My question is, whenever I trade and make a profit is there always going to be someone who's made a loss or is this an odd way of thinking? Could it be that these people are losing a small amount of money or that these people are buying a coin by going (I'll put 10% in that) so as to not really matter if it profits or. Loses as it generated a stable ish value.
You really cannot sum up like that every time you earn a profit someone out there is loosing, the people who are selling the coins might be selling them at a profit and then where is the loss comes from, it is a mixture of everything, no one will sell at a loss unless they are very bad at handling their finances.
Could you specify which coins you have invested and which ones are in profit so that others will have an idea.
4398  Local / India / Re: Crypto hearing in Supreme Court today on: April 08, 2019, 09:32:10 PM
Still, the Indian crypto related case is in the hanging position after the issue raised since last year. The final hearing was set to declared on the March, 31 2019 but it is now the April, 08. May be the even the SC can't finalize any decision.
What i have heard from reports online is that the case is extended once again by the request of the Indian government, i am not sure whether they are planning to come up with a verdict before the general elections which is coming up, as i mentioned earlier this is the biggest hurdle for any business in India, there will not be any clear direction and the starts ups will look else rather than running a company in India.
4399  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: April 08, 2019, 09:11:03 PM
There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.
Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.
There are too many projects that really do not need blockchain but this is a new market and expect these kind of projects coming up, make sure you verify everything before you invest into anything as you cannot be sure what all projects will survive in the next few years and i am sure that majority of the projects that started in the past few years will die off eventually.
4400  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: April 08, 2019, 08:47:54 PM
Does the introduction of Stake, take anything away from Primedice or does it add to the overall value of the whole operation? Why did you not just add the good games in Stake to the Primedice platform?
I know "Primedice" is supposed to be the de facto dice site, but the new games in Stake would have been just at home there, than having to develop a whole new site?
It is always good to have a clean interface rather than sticking everything into one, if they are to do that they need to take the site offline which is a big deal as it will affect their profit and to check the bugs before opening the doors again, rather than these head aches it is better to start from scratch with another interface.

Quote
Is it not more expensive to run two separate sites?
It depends upon the dedicated server they are using and how much load they can handle.

So there is proof that the first always isn't the best. It's no different than Apple products. They don't release the first products like the MP3 player or smartphone but when they released the iPod or iPhone they were revoluntionary kind of like Primedice is right now.
It is not that first is not always the best, bitcoin is the first crypto currency and it is the best one no matter how attractive the other looks at this moment in time  Wink. In the beginning Apple had terrible products and with high valuation and the ipod changed their fortunes as well as the release of iphone and the reluctance of Nokia to venture into smart phones, they died off and Apple prevailed every challenges.
