4381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: October 03, 2019, 01:50:31 PM
I don't think that's a bad idea, if you invest your money in various altcoins. it's just that you need to reconsider that altcoin has now lost its value. but if you want to invest in altcoin, I suggest you put money into some of the top altcoins on the market.
Yeah, I personally support the idea of investing in various alts at a time. I believe even if an alt fails to provide you the desired output you can still rely on the rest. However, many of the alts are currently down but not to worry as you can get them now at a low price but pick only from the top 20...
4382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Exchange instead of Mixer? on: October 03, 2019, 08:39:30 AM
Exchanges make use of KYC for some daily volume of withdrawal, while an exchange like liquid in Japan, requires full KYC before one can even make withdrawals. Well, exchanges can always know customers that make withdrawals even without KYC as they do tie their deposit address to their account even without KYC.

Do you think it is hard to fool any site online? Without KYC, you can easily hide your correct location, real name and what not. Nobody can trace back to you.
For example, you can deposit funds on Yobit, then create YoBit token and then redeem that token on other YoBit account and make withdrawals from that account. There you go, you are fully anonymous!
4383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Exchange instead of Mixer? on: October 03, 2019, 07:30:40 AM
~UNQUOTED

Ofcourse I am talking about using exchanges without KYC. Binance allow unverified accounts to make withdrawals upto 2BTC per day which is quite ok.
About timestamps, who knows mixers too maintain logs of every mixing performed on their site. It is not difficult task in PHP to maintain such logs.

An exchange without KYC doesn't matter and doesn't really help. It can be easy to find which exchange your address belong to and since they keep your IP, etc... It can be enough to identify you because they will have no problem to snitch and will be very happy to do it. Smiley

Logs are kept a minimum, few days, exchanges store your information for years.

As far as I remember, BestMixer provided most of the mixing data to Dutch Authorities once they were confiscated by Dutch law.
We cannot rely on mixers too. They are not as anonymous as we think. If big mixers like BestMixer can fall in the hands of authorities then just imagine how anonymous small mixers are.
So it can be easily assumed when interfered by authorities, both exchanges and mixers can't be trusted.
4384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Exchange instead of Mixer? on: October 03, 2019, 06:56:22 AM
simple: mixers are created to provide you anonimity, exchanges are not...

Exchanges usually require KYC info, they keep logs of all addresses, ip's, timestamps,... Mixers promise to do none of these things. If a hacker hacks an exchange (this is pretty common, happens all the time), he'll be able to link all of your wallets together (sending, exchange wallet and receiving wallet) AND he'll be able to link this info to your KYC documents, ip's, browser signature, timestamps. Same goes for 3 letter agencies requesting all the exchange's data. Thus, by using an exchange as a mixer, you can actually end up DECREASING your privacy instead of increasing it.

4385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why not use Exchange instead of Mixer? on: October 03, 2019, 06:35:36 AM
So, Mixers provide service of shuffling bitcoins or provide addresses loaded with bitcoins along with private keys. In short, they provide service so to create anonymity between sender's and receiver's address so that no one can trace the transaction.
My question is why not use Exchanges? When we deposit funds on exchange, bitcoins get deposited on exchange's cold wallet. But when we withdraw funds, withdraw gets processed from exchange's hot wallet. So in short, it is very easy to do anonymous transfer by depositing funds on exchange and withdrawing to other addresses. Why to pay 1-3% fees on Mixers when it could be done for much less on Exchanges. Exchanges like Binance charge just 0.0005 BTC to process withdrawals.
4386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium 1000 $ is a dream to everyone ! on: October 02, 2019, 04:37:29 PM
Yes, you are right. Ethereum at 1000 USD is perfect and dreams of everyone. The ETH price is almost the same as the past year! But it can boost up to 500 to 1000 USD anytime soo. I hope after ETH 2.0 upgrade next year, it will happen for all good!
I think every crypto trader and every ETH lover would love to see ETH over 1000$. From the past one year, ETH has faced quite a hard time and is struggling a lot in the market. Moreover, it had disappointed many of the traders and its holders but even though everyone is eagerly waiting for its comeback. ETH is a great coin and is having great potential so, lets optimistically hope for the best since I believe it will soon rise to a significant value...
4387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: October 02, 2019, 04:22:52 PM
You should better stick to the market trend, like BTC dominance about 70% and other 30% I would be bet on ETH
Well, I would do 50% to BTC, 20% for ETH and for the rest 30% I would prefer to go for the top 20 altcoins. As per the current market trend, I don't think that BTC would provide a good amount of profit right now, although it would just secure 50% of your investment but will definitely provide you a great assured amount of profit in the future. Rest I believe BNB and the other top prominent alts are capable of providing you good earning in the short span only...
4388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: October 02, 2019, 04:08:03 PM
I dont think BNB can reach $ 50 this year, may be when bitcoin price go to 15K then binance coin can get $35 to $ 40 each, binance dex is launching but is not so affected to the price of BNB..
BNB is the one that peaked high and reached its ath price when bitcoin was completely bearish. Now the market of BNB has crashed along with the market of Bitcoin. This has now made the price of BNB reach $15, and when there is growth with bitcoin BNB too will grow. More the growth of bitcoin more will be the growth with most top coins. In this manner BNB will reach $50 soon.
This year BNB showed a surprise growth and we experienced a new ATH for BNB at 39$ even the rest of the market was down, but its value collapsed with the downtrend of BTC yet still, its price is 15$ which is still a good price tag for this coin. But if the market gains some momentum and price of BTC incline it may carry BNB along with the same trend however, the situation seems quite hard for this year. ...
4389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down below $9k! Buy the dip now? on: October 02, 2019, 03:30:10 PM

I would have to agree with you. I think that this is one of the best times to purchase bitcoin. The 30th of September would have been a better day to purchase, when the price dropped to around $7800, but even at the current price of $8200, it is still a worthwhile purchase.
Yeah, with coming up of the October, the price jumped to 8200$ from 7800$ in two days. I believe the should be experiencing a pump in this month only making the price over 10K$ so I think still it'd be great to get it below 9k$ in order to secure a good amount of profit. The more you delay, the more you'll lose as I speculate the price will get higher only, this month...
4390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or Bear season for crypto? on: October 02, 2019, 08:53:00 AM
The crypto market for a period seemed to be on a bear market, and for some reason much later prices started increasing again. What can be said about the market at this period, are we on a bull or bear?

Bull and bear are long-term trends. Trends are often develop over long period of time. For example, in year 2017 Bitcoin rose by 400% so we can Bitcoin was in bullish trend in 2017. What you are asking is short-term trend. In short period, we can't say anything is bullish or bearish. Rather we can use the terms like rallies. So yeah, if you asking for now , I would say we can see another rally coming and Bitcoin price may jump above $10K again in October.
4391  Economy / Speculation / Re: is the market building up towards another bog FOMO? on: October 02, 2019, 06:35:31 AM
We just need one break-out of $500-600 and surely we can see another rally coming. Last time Bitcoin broke from $8000 to $9000, it took only 4 days and 16 market swings to reach $12500.
I think same ripple effect can happen now too. There is no adverse news in market. So just one push and we can see FOMO playing rest of the game and Bitcoin easily going to $13-14K.
4392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining New Coins Can be Deceiving on: October 02, 2019, 06:23:38 AM
Mining something with no real value is like double edge sword,it may give huge profits or you will be in vain.

Anyway more people go with mining new coins,I am surprised why you did, just only because of low mining difficulty or you researched about that project?

Mining new coins is stupidity. I never heard someone mining coins which are not even listed on any exchange. Only project devs do that for their coins.
Mining is not as easy as it appears. It took 17 months for my friend to recover his machinery cost he set up to mine Ethereum. One has to calculate cost and reward before starting and I see no intelligence in mining coin which is not even listed.
4393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto-currency for investment/trading? on: October 02, 2019, 05:55:52 AM
The most important advice I can give you is that, you should not hodl any altcoin in the long term. Because this is the most permanent thing on the market is bitcoin and altcoins are tools to increase the amount of bitcoin in your portfolio. When you look at the altcoin movements in the last 2 years, i think you can understand what i mean. This possibility has always confused me.

It is hard to say that keeping altcoins in portfolio will increase the btc value. Altcoins were highly overvalued back in 2018 and since then facing lot of corrections. So it is better to keep portfolio homogeneously in Bitcoin and eventually invest in altcoins for shorter periods when there are some positive news related to any coin.
4394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors still complaining? on: October 01, 2019, 04:28:10 PM
Investors complain because they do not research and they just want to invest in most-hyped coins. And they these coins collapste, they complain. Guys, this never works, the more hype a project has, the more chance it has to be a garbage. You see that in time when you get more experienced. Investors first should learn how to reserach and then do trading or investing.

That's not true. In case of cryptocurrencies, hype works better than anything else in price formation. I have seen many good projects promising something new smashing ground because there was no buzz about them among investors. But if your project is good then creating hype will surely attract lots of investors and gives lot of boost to price.
4395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which one you buy Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: September 30, 2019, 03:15:11 PM
I preferred ETH a few months ago, just because I thought has more potential, but market is changing, maybe it will be different this year.
On May Btc raised, and got same price 12 months ago, and Eth didn´t get even close.
Yeah, to choose between the two I would opt for BTC right now, as there's going a hard time for ETH from the past few months. On the other hand, as per the current market trend, I believe buying now BTC would be profitable in the near future...
4396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull push to 600k ? on: September 30, 2019, 02:50:53 PM
It's easier to look at total market cap instead of the actual BTC/USD price.

600k per coin would equal $13T market cap, which is almost twice the market cap of gold itself.

Not impossible, but it will definitely take longer than 2 years. Every time the market goes up a lot, early hodlers will tend to sell some of their holdings, bringing the market down again.
600K per coin really?
Yeah, that can happen in some million years!!!
4397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if ETH hold above 168, downtrend will be over. on: September 30, 2019, 02:36:00 PM
Don't count on it, downtrend will not be over so soon. You'll have to be patient for a few more months / years until the signs of a long-term trend reversal appears.
Yeah, there are more players sitting in the market and we can't simply claim downtrend to be over by just counting on ETH. ETH now is at 175$ and is displaying some improvement but still, you'll be requiring great patience to ensure the end of the downtrend...
4398  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: September 30, 2019, 02:25:19 PM
The volatility not only for bitcoin but also for other cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Volatility is like a trade mark for the cryptocurrencies because when you say that you are trading a very volatile type of asset then it is easily understood that it is cryptocurrency and with that volatility, you can make a lot of money in a shorter time compare to other type of trading because there is a lot of cryptocurrency to trade and they are always open 24/7.
Yeah, I don't understand why some people hate the crypto's volatility since because of this property of the crypto the trade is never-ending. Moreover, it is the price fluctuations that also interest new traders to the crypto market. So as long as the crypto is surviving, the volatility will remain here to stay...
4399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Make it back to $20k ? on: September 30, 2019, 02:04:27 PM
It was way different than it was with 2017 and now.
Difficult to make some good comparison.

One reason. Altcoins.
2017 was not the time of altcoins but more of bitcoin.
Look at the market now?
Look at how much money is being spent buying other coins.
The money is now divided to different investments and bitcoin cannot escape that.
Somehow, others are selling their bitcoin in exchange for the new one thinking it has better feature.
Same thing is happening now with Bakkt.
Yeah, as per the current market trend I don't think the year 2017 is going to repeat for now as 20k$ from here seems quite harder. And this trend is changed with the coming up of the new altcoins as the investment priorities of many the investors have changed but right now many of the alts have also lost their 99% value...
4400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again on: September 30, 2019, 01:27:26 PM
It is a very wise choice. BTC will recover eventually from its downfall seen in 2019, and its price will increase and shoot up soon. Talking about alts, yes they have lost their value to 30 – 35% but, alts will recover in 2020, that’s what I think, because of the halving that will occur next year.
30-35 percent? show me these altcoins. I think that altcoins have already lost 99 percent of their initial value.
Yeah, most of the alts have lost their initial value and the coin like ETH have proven to be a great disappointment. Talking about BTC I don't think it is the best time to invest in it as price needs some more stabilization. But I think BNB would be a good option to look right now as I believe this coin has a great potential to grow so I'm too going for it...
