4381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse by a global government crackdown? on: January 24, 2019, 07:27:19 PM
There will never be a global government crackdown because there's no global government. Cheesy

Really guys do you expect that opposing economies like USA and Russia will decide to ban Bitcoin together? What about countries that are already accepting it and building laws around it like South Korea, Japan, Malta.

There's no global conspiracy to destroy Bitcoin! Threads like that prove that this bear season is pushing you into panic mode.
4382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: January 24, 2019, 07:17:03 PM
I wouldn't call it safe. We don't know if its pegged to the Dollar like they are claiming. You can see on the charts that it's heavily manipulated because it should have similar value to the dollar but sometimes it can go a lot lower. You're buying a stablecoin that isn't stable.
They were asked to prove they aren't producing usdt without having USD to back it and they didn't.
4383  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-22] Cambridge Scholars Invent Scheme to Track Stolen Bitcoin on: January 24, 2019, 07:03:44 PM
The question is will they able to find the the criminals first before it completely disappear? I know how stolen crypto works they are broken down to smaller pieces and then sent to multiple addresses some even go to exchanges to be changed into different crypto and fiat so could they find the culprit before they are completely gone forever?

Even if it would work you can keep tracing Bitcoins only as long as they end up exchanged into fiat money because only then you can trace it to someone's bank account that will have strong kyc procedures. If the money becomes spent it gets much more difficult.

If they run it through a mixer it gets even more complicated and finally they can go to an exchange with weak KYC and upload fake or bought document buy a privacy coin and they're gone.
4384  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-1-24]Binance Follows Major Cryptocurrency Exchanges With Launch of OTC. . on: January 24, 2019, 06:55:29 PM
One of the prime attractions of OTC is the personalised service you get dealing with real people. Unlike an exchange you don't wind up as an ignored ticket number if something goes wrong. I hope they follow a similar pattern otherwise there are more attractive options out there.

I guess the main appeal would be OTC for shitcoins. Then again how much demand will there be for one billion dollars' worth of EOS? There's a reason OTC is only for the tippy top projects.

If they keep it proportional you won't have to be a billionaire to trade shitcoins. 20 Bitcoins is only 60000 Dollars. Many people have this kind of money and the balls to play with them on a risky market.
Almost everything in the world can be trading OTC. I see only benefits from this being popular with cryptocurrencies. Just don't get all excited with those institutions coming in because the authors like to throw this phrase in wherever they can and it's starting to become an urban legend.
4385  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2019-01-23]Earnings From Bitcoin are Now Subject to Income Tax in Romania on: January 24, 2019, 06:49:03 PM
Income tax is a thing in almost every country and in the vast majority of EU countries. I don't see anything important in this Romanian law. They had an income tax before but it was declared in a different way and they also have it now. If you trade crypto for fiat you have to pay but does it change anything for holders? After reading it I think it doesn't. What's the big deal then?
4386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP competing places with ETH? on: January 23, 2019, 10:53:08 PM
Until you seeing the market was still fluctuating is this the time to invest even we are in the dumping  this is the time of buying coin and holds and keep patient for the rising of value. Even the XRP take the places of Ethereum we don't know that will happen next to ethereum and XRP but we should trust both and they will rise soon.

No, you should not trust XRP. Show me a single good thing this coin has achieved in its years of existence. Any real word use? Any adoption? Even Dash is being used in third world countries, Monero is the preferred extortion and black market coin, ETH is the king of smart contracts and XRP? All talk not much action.
People are only keeping money in this shitcoin because it could pump if Bitcoin dies but it won't happen.
4387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to invest in Ethereum or wait for Ethereum 2.0? I want to invest 5k on: January 23, 2019, 10:40:15 PM
I'd invest now. If you invest earlier you have a chance of claiming airdrops and getting more coins if it forks. I don't think the fork will split ETH but a rule of thumb says that the earlier you get the coin the better as long as it's not the ATH Wink
That 30 USD pump and dump proved that ETH is weak so make sure you really want this coin. If you want it it's a good moment to buy but it's so weak that it could as well go 20% down if they mess up the fork.
4388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are ICOs really dead? on: January 23, 2019, 09:47:47 PM
With so many scam ICO it's normal they aren't doing good and people are more careful. ICOs should first offer some type of a byproduct a beta version of a sort instead of asking money for nothing. It's not only the problem of ICOs. Many projects on gofundme are scams as well and this is the same thing. They are making you feel like they're innovators who will make you money and then something goes wrong and they're gone.
4389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee on: January 23, 2019, 04:55:41 PM
When i grow up i will like to be like John Mcafee

Meaning you want to be drunk and high all the time even in your 70s? John is using hard drugs you can see it the way he talks. He has a habit of touching or wiping his nose, he nervously scratches his face. Those are habits you develop over the years and you don't get them from smoking weed Wink

I like that he doesn't pay taxes and has the balls to say it in public. I don't like that he was pumping worthless shitcoins for money.
4390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who would actually believe celebs promoting crypto? on: January 22, 2019, 07:55:53 PM
Celebrities are the last people you listen to. They can only say what is beneficial to someone for what they were paid. Do not take seriously their words.

Of course. They are so focused on making money many of them would sell their family members if they could. They are selling their family secrets, sex tapes, nudes, what else is there left? Shilling is one of the cheapest and easiest way to make money, and can you blame them? Many of them are pure degenerates. If I were a celebrity and some ICO firm offered me 100 thousand dollars to tweet some shit about them I probably would. Easy money.
4391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is The Most Ridiculous Invention Ever Made on: January 22, 2019, 07:39:16 PM
I think I saw some other threads of this OP get locked by a mod.
It's not difficult to notice he's trolling anc calling it nothing in your face to make you try to persuade him and then he'll come and shove it back at you with a grin.
Let this thread die in peace!
4392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 will be better then 2017 :) ? on: January 20, 2019, 11:02:16 PM
2017 was driven by a combination of greed and stupidity, and I agree that these two traits will continue to be common with people.
But 2017 was the first huge crypto bubble, and people were able to draw their conclusions. I don't think we'll see the same fools making the same mistakes. Bubbles like that will not happen until cryptos are actually adopted globally.
Not a whole 2017 was greed and stupidity. I think that a run to 5000 dollars was natural and it's completely normal for an asset that recovers from a bear market and breaks its all time high to overshoot and go far above that. After 1000 dollars reaching 3000 was almost certain.

2019 won't be better than 2017 because a bull market always begins slow. We will have trouble breaking 6000 again and it may take a whole year. When it happens it's going to be much faster. 20000 will happen again in 2020 or maybe in 2021 and if that happens it's going to be 60000 at least.
4393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins! on: January 20, 2019, 10:52:08 PM
Most times, it is  better to allow the weak hands to dump what they have.
The mistake some people also make is that, when a coin pumps, they refuse to sell and wait for it to pump more. This is where greed sets in and then an eventual lost of opportunity.
Later on, even when the price is no more encouraging, they will now be thinking of selling just to get anything.

We are in a bear market because of Bitcoin. When Bitcoin loses value other altcoins are also being dumped and it's not the fault of any particular altcoin. Many of them aren't weak and are pretty innovative but they are being sold out of stupid fear and panic. We are already at more than 85% loss in Bitcoin and even more with some altcoins. People who are selling now must be crazy. If I had a shitcoin that I held for so long I still wouldn't sell it now because with every leg down the probability of recovery is higher.
4394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponed ICO after bounty campaign on: January 20, 2019, 10:46:16 PM
They think that they will be able to get more people interested in the bull market when more people are investing but they are missing an important point. If we are in a bull market well known projects with previous successes will gather most of the new money and people won't be interested in new projects that can fail as much as in the old ones like BTC and ETH that will make them money for sure or many smaller but still less speculative ones like EOS ADA and such.
4395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will SEC never approve Bitcoin ETF? on: January 20, 2019, 10:06:08 PM
I don't think we should like at that angle. Does it mean that everything that SEC has approved in the past (not just cryptocurrency for that matter), has incentives to them? SEC is just a governing body, its the people behind and not the office itself to lose face if they make wrong decisions, in my opinion.

But aren't they supposed to enforce the rules, fine the fraudulent companies, sue people responsible? With Bitcoin there's nobody to fine and nobody to sue. If the Bitcoin economy collapses because there was a bug that people missed or the algorithm was cracked there will be nobody to blame but the SEC for approving something that can potentially go to 0. There are no people behind Bitcoin to make the wrong decisions. There's only investors who can profit or lose everything.
4396  Other / Off-topic / Re: A KYC database sold on the Darkweb ? on: January 20, 2019, 09:33:55 PM
User data should be treated with utmost importance and should be highly improbable to give away in such manner,i blame most of this exchanges and projects which treat such information with laxity and pay less attention to user identity and anonymity.
Most times I begin to feel this entire KYC process could be of more harm than good to the entire community

Everything can be stolen. The best way to prevent data leaks is to use user data for verification and destroy it right after. This means that you will hold the user's name and email, but the rest like ID scans, photos, addresses and other information will never be stolen.

I'd prefer if there was no KYC at all. When you're buying food in a store nobody wants your name but to exchange some cryptocurrencies you need to show your ID. It's stupid!
4397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 13 celebrities who back cryptocurrency and may own millions in bitcoin on: January 20, 2019, 08:26:15 PM
The quote of Gates supporting Bitcoin is from 5 years ago. His attitude is much different now and I could bet he's not buying. He's an environmentalist and a KYC supporter so Bitcoin using a lot of energy and being used to by hackers is exactly what Gates hates. Listen to his old quotes about the Internet and computers and you'll see that he's a fool. Not a big loss for crypto.
4398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: January 20, 2019, 08:05:26 PM
I never had a problem with that. When I start losing I just call it a day. Sometimes you just aren't lucky or the odds are against you and it's important to be able to step away. Those who pursue wins at all cost always lose. It's the same when I win. I'm able to say enough and take small profit.

Your attitude is always the second most important thing in gambling with skill and knowledge being the most important.
4399  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you describe the situations of the crypto market today? on: January 20, 2019, 07:52:26 PM
really right now is a great opportunity for us to enter the market to get a big profit, because this year it seems the market will soar which makes many people get big profits later

I thought it to be true at 6000 dollars and I thought it to be true when we were approaching 5000. Now we are at 3000 and people are saying that it's a good moment to invest but what if it isn't? Are you going to be saying the same thing at 2000, 1000, below 1000?

this market is in serious need of a big purge to flush at least 1800 altcoin out of the market so that it can become a little cleaner and maybe become healthier.

Most altcoins are worthless but we can't be sure that if they weren't there the money would go to one of the top cryptocurrencies.
4400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: January 20, 2019, 07:38:48 PM
Gambling is interesting and can be enjoyed in it but a lot of people want to live from it, you can not live by gambling. Online gambling in my opinion is much more risky and is more rigorous than gambling in the casino. I would not recommend, but if you have a lot of money and it's boring to you, you can easily have fun and maybe professionally.

I see this opinion repeated like a prayer throughout the forums. You definitely CAN make a living with gambling and many professional poker players are a proof that you are incorrect. Watch a poker tournament from time to time. Many people win a lot of money there and there's almost no risk involved because you pay a small entry fee and don't risk your own money.
